I’ve been to most of the Lagree classes in the East Bay and CB Fit is by far the best one. All the instructors have been consistently challenging and provide easy to follow descriptive instructions on how to maximize the workout and offer constructive correction for better form. I learned the most from them on techniques and body placement than any other company I’ve been to. Their climb classes are also very energizing and effective, but I’m unable to constantly participate due to shoulder injury. Music choices of all classes are always on point
and their speaker system is set to the perfect sound level.

Love CBFit! Lagree classes are tough, but I've had some amazing instructors who have shown me modifications at every stage of my fitness journey. I love all the mirrors and the slow speed of lagree so you can make sure your form is good at all times. I joined CB Fit after realizing traditional reformer Pilates wasn’t challenging me enough—and wow, the Megaformer humbled me in the best way! I could barely do two classes a week at first, but now I crave the shake. As intimidating as Lagree can seem, this studio is so welcoming to all fitness levels.

My favorite instructors are Alliah, Brianna, Alexis, and of course, Chelsea—they all bring great energy and genuinely care about helping you improve. They’re all amazing at explaining form and what muscle groups we’re targeting (the fitness nerd in me loves that 🤓). It really helps with that mind–muscle connection and makes every move feel intentional.

You can tell the whole team really curates their playlists (and music is very important for my workouts), gives thoughtful hands-on adjustments, and builds such a strong sense of community. From studio challenges to small touches like direct feedback through the app, it’s clear how much they care about their members. CB Fit is perfect if you’ve ever been considering trying lagree!

Three years ago, I was hunting for a Pilates studio.. and instead stumbled into CBFit + Lagree.

Best accidental detour ever. I thought I wanted that slow, stretchy Pilates vibe. Turns out what I actually needed was a workout that makes you shake, curse (lovingly), and come back the next day wanting more.

The machines look like chic medieval torture devices — but don’t be fooled. That slow-burn, quiver-in-your-quads thing? It’s magic. The instructors are part coach, part comedian, part psychic — somehow knowing when you have one more rep in you and when you’re about to flop.

And honestly? I didn’t just find the best workout of my life. I found my people. The friends I’ve made here are the kind you swap life updates with before class and cheer for through that brutal last plank.

I came for Pilates. I stayed for the Lagree shake, the vibe, and the community that makes the hard stuff weirdly fun.

I needed strength training in my fitness routine and CB Fit is the perfect fit for me. The slow pace and the instructors help ensure I am getting the maximum workout in the 45 minutes of class and not getting injured. It's really hard, but in all the right ways. I feel stronger and look forward to going to the classes because I can see the difference they are making in my body.

I love working out at cb. Good people, music, and easy parking nearby.

One area that could be improved for me is customer experience. As a member, I'd like to have priority in making reservations in advance. Right now, there is no differentiation in booking windows for pass holders and members. Second, the studio and equipment could be modernized to compete with the many other studios opening nearby. Lastly, I wish they collected regular feedback on instructors.

Ive been going to CB Fit for almost 2 years now and it has been the best possible journey! I started going when I was 4 weeks pregnant and it was one of the best things I ever did! I originally started going to CB Fit in 2019 at their Dublin location. I moved to San Francisco so sadly had to change studios, however, I moved to Walnut Creek this year and started taking classes at their Walnut Creek location. Their climb bootcamps are my absolute favorite! I have tried several workout studios and this is by far the best one. The combination of the great music, lights and overall well-rounded workout make it so fun. I also really enjoy their Lagree classes and am left sore for days afterwards every time. But most importantly, every single instructor is welcoming, supportive, kind, and helpful which you can’t find at every fitness studio, especially in the Lagree or Pilates space. I am moving to Dublin in February and plan to make the drive to Danville and Walnut Creek to continue my fitness journey with CB Fit!

Small parking lot. Keep in mind that you must park in an unmarked spot. Studio is small and intimate. No locker room, just cubbies. Enjoyed the Climb x Bootcamp class with loud music and low lighting. Will try their Lagree class next time.

I've been to a lot of gyms and taken a lot of classes. This is my favorite place to work out. I never dread coming and EVERYONE here is great. Each instructor is a little different than the other, but they are all equally wonderful. The facility is very clean and well lit. The equipment is top notch.

CB Fit has definitely helped me achieve my fitness goals. I have lost 25 pounds since last November. For my last 10K race in Feb, my mile time dropped 1 min 30 secs. That was with going three times and week. I can definitely feel a difference when I run. The best part is that I feel so much stronger than I did before I started coming. CB Fit is the best!!!

Update: 4 years later!! I am still a huge fan and the workout is still amazing! Chelsea and Paul have continued to nurture this wonderful community and were able to keep everyone connected even during the toughest of times (2020!!) CB Fit has also done the impossible and converted me into an early morning person! I never thought I could do the 6am classes, but they have been great. It is the perfect way to start out my day. Give it a try - no matter what time of day works best for you! You won't be sorry!

Working out on my own is boring so I'm a big fan of group fitness classes. I've taken a wide variety of classes and Lagree is the cream of the crop and CB fit is *chef's kiss*. Not only do they offer the Lagree method, they offer a strength and cardio class using weights and a fancy climbing machine. I've been much more consistent in working out since I can vary my workouts during the week. Overall, I feel stronger and my low back pain is no longer an issue. As a bonus, all the instructors and staff are all very welcoming and work hard to foster a fun and supportive community.

Tips for newbies: There is a parking lot behind the building and the entrance from the parking lot is the front of the studio. There is meter parking along Broadway and it's free before 10am and Sundays (I think). Come early to your first class and introduce yourself to your instructor and the machines. Bring sticky socks for Lagree if you already have them. Bring a towel if you get shweaty like me. Lastly, smile and enjoy the burn.

CB Fit is amazing! I started going here after working with a physical therapist post the birth of my second child. I was not doing a good job practicing all of the exercises from my PT, so it was recommended that I try out Pilates to help with consistency.
CB Fit has excellent reviews, and it's what sold me on trying this place for Pilates Reformer. The music playlists for class are current and clubby - almost like the playlist you get at Soul Cycle, which makes it a fun experience. The instructors are very attentive and will adjust you during class to make sure you are doing the exercise correctly or provide modifications if you are pregnant or working through an injury.
Finding CB Fit has helped me with not only my recovery post partum, but also my quality of life has greatly improved (I'm less injury prone). Thank you to the great staff, and especially to the owners Chelsea and Paul who's passion for their clients doesn't go unnoticed!

I am coming up on my four year anniversary of my first class at CB Fit and I am still hooked! I am someone who is easily bored and it's amazing how it is still my favorite workout.Once thing I have learned about the Lagree method is that you are always challenged. The Climb classes give you that extra cardio burst as well as strength work. Chelsea and Paul have created a great community and every instructor at the studio makes you feel welcome. If you haven't tried it yet, commit to a few sessions and you will not regret it!

CB Fit and the owner Chelsea are incredible! I look forward to going (which I can’t say about almost any other workout). The instructors are all fantastic (special shout outs to Pamela and Brittany for rocking it extra hard!). I started going during my first pregnancy and it made me feel so good my entire pregnancy. I also snapped back a lot faster. I see my best results going at least 3x a week (although even feel 100x better going once a week).

My athletic husband also came with me and said “this is not what I expected when going to Pilates (mostly stretching), this was an awesome workout!”

This review is long overdue. The Lagree method is a truly challenging workout. The instructors at CBFit are patient and encouraging, always offering help to each student to get the full benefit of the exercise. The studio is light and airy and very welcoming. Even during COVID I always felt safe and that my health was important to everyone there. There’s even free parking! The CBFit owners, Chelsea and Paul have created a rare space where we all feel part of a true community & not just a ‘gym’.
CBFit is my happy place. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I've been coming to this studio for almost 5 years now and it is STILL my workout and studio of choice above ALL. For a busy, working mom, nothing beats a 45 minute workout that is consistently a challenge but also extremely fun. Its truly a workout for all levels, you make it your own. They have lagree and a bootcamp/climber/cardio workout class so you get a little bit of everything. Absolutely love CB Fit! The classes are all super fun - Lagree, Climb and the Combo classes.. truly enjoy them all. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about Lagree just given my previous experience has primarily been HIIT or CrossFit, but Lagree has challenged and improved my stability, Core strength and helped me develop long, lean muscles. Climb is so much fun with the upbeat music, lights and the variety in strength training each day. Every instructor is so positive, encouraging and motivational. I'm currently close to 6 months pregnant and the CB Family has helped me modify so I can continue to come regularly and stay healthy throughout my pregnancy. It's rare to find a studio where the owners and instructors take the time to get to know you and become more than just your instructor, but rather become your friends. I can't recommend CB more!! CB fit has great instructors, parking (in back) and challenging classes. I’ve been going consistently since December 2018 and immediately felt connected the the awesome community. It’s the little things like all instructors knowing your name and saying Hi (even outside of the studio!).

I took an intermediate lagree class for the first time at the request of a friend, but ended up doing the class on my own after she forgot to sign-up for it...After telling the owner/instructor, Chelsea, of my dilemma, I was then given a bit more guidance throughout the entire 45-minute session. While my uncomfortability specifically stemmed from working on an exercise machine I had no prior experience with, Chelsea was by far the best instructor I could have asked for to help keep me on the right track. Even though I'm based in SF and she is in Walnut Creek, I still think I will return in the future because of Chelsea's knowledge and professionalism!

My new found obsession. . . Is Lagree Fitness in Walnut Creek.
It's a love, hate relationship.

Pilates may not be high-intensity or lifting heavy dumbbells, however, Lagree Fitness is pretty intense.
The core-focused, slow intense movements will make your abs burn, challenging your muscles in new ways or working muscle groups that don't usually get much attention.

CB Fit has helped me in strengthening and toning with a focus on core and for increasing my flexibility, posture, and enhanced mental awareness.

The owner, Chelsea, is a ray of sunshine as you walk in the door. She is sweet, energetic, full of encouragement, motivated, professional & caring. She always gives everyone positive feedback.

The studio is beautiful, clean, staffed by supportive, challenging instructors & motivating music.

This new compulsion has shown me remarkable core strength & results within a few weeks. It is effective and challenging.
