As a busy college student trying to balance school, work, and staying in shape, finding a gym that actually fits my lifestyle has been tough—but this one seriously nails it.
First off, it’s open 24/7, which is perfect for late-night or early-morning workouts when I’m done with class or work. The layout is super unique too—it’s both indoors and outdoors, so on nice days, you can train outside and get some sun while lifting or doing cardio.
It’s never crazy crowded, which is a huge plus. I never have to wait for machines, and there’s always space to actually move around. The equipment is solid—all in great shape, with high-quality machines and a wide range of dumbbells, including different types depending on what you like to use.
What I really like is that it’s not just about weights. There’s a ton of open space for mobility, stretching, HIIT, or even just doing your own thing. You’re not crammed in between machines—it feels super open and flexible.
And yeah, the music is always on point. Good energy, never annoying, and helps keep the vibe right during workouts.

Truly such a comfortable place for women! Security is enforced at night and as someone who could only go at night I felt safe! I definitely did not feel judged by others in this gym as there’s not many people there at the same time. It’s perfect for not social people like myself. Staff and owner were always tentative to any issues as well, truly a great place to workout and feel safe and heard!

To be totally honest, it’s one of the best gyms in town. The people who go there are really into working out. The outdoor area is big enough for doing cardio HIIT or core workouts.

The equipment is in great shape and they’ve got everything you need for any type of training and the best part, the outdoor benches really bring out your beast mode.

This gym is a small but private gym it has food and it also has awesome gym trainers, if you do not like a compact gym then this is the place for you it's a indoor outdoor gym. It does have just one bathroom that is being shared by females and males but it's kept clean and there's enough weights and a bunch of training if you want to be trained in specific muscles. Also there's a lady there that cooks and makes different healthy variations of food like her famous waffles.

Super cool gym. I was able to get a good workout no matter what time of day it was. It’s very easy to access and it has pretty much every piece of equipment you need. My only complaint is its too cold to get a good sweat in during the colder weather, but it’s perfect when it’s warm outside. You get your bang for your buck.

Listen when I tell yall that CenCal is one of the best gyms on this side of Fresno. The location 10/10, the music 10/10, the 24/7 access 10/10 can’t get any better then that. The community that attends this gym is so supportive and they make you feel very welcomed especially for people that are social anxious. I’m not used to seeing owners at their own gym everyday but from day one Gursh has been one of the most nicest, and welcoming person here hands down. I’ve been an independent trainer here for the last few months and wanted to share my honest experience at Cencal Barbell.
The facility is always clean, organized and well kept by maintenance staff. If there’s any issues with equipment, they always make sure it’s squared away asap. Gursh the owner is one of the best individuals I’ve came across and I consider him a good friend now. He truly cares about his members and staff. Always listens to feedback and looking to improve in any way possible.
The members are all friendly and the gym has a community feel to it.
I’ve trained at MANY gyms and this is one of my favorites.
The ONLY downside to this gym (and it’s completely out of the gyms control since it’s a warehouse style gym) is how hot it gets during the summer times. Other than that, this gym is a 10/10 for me!

Such a cool gym! We've been in Fresno only for a couple of days and found this gym. The owner and staff are very friendly. Day pass was $20 and absolutely worth it. They have all kinds of equipment, from free weights, several barbell stations, machines, calisthenics set-up and posing room. The gym has an inside and outside area. Love CCB! As someone who likes to cross-train, sometimes oly weightlifting, other times more CrossFit-style workouts, and rely on equipment for many accessory movements, this gym is that “best of both worlds”. There’s room to cross-train, room/equipment to lift, machines as well. With oly weightlifting as a lady, we have a niche barbell that’s required. Had very high expectations for this gym when I first signed up. The longer you go the more things you truly realize about this gym. Many many of the bars have very bad rust on them, there are only two squat racks that are placed in the worst position right in front of the cable machine so for one who actually squats all you see if the behind and fronts of the members working out. Many members do not re-racks their weights and at times there is a mess of chalk around the gym followed with horse playing by young members and they never get told anything by the trainers or staff. There is only one restrooms that is co-shared by all the members. It’s sad to say but this is a nice “Looking gym” but not the best for one who truly wants to go somewhere to get that beast mode workout. (A true gym bro review)

Just moved to Fresno and found this Gem. Really cool and friendly environment. Great gym music for an intense workout. It’s my style but may not be everyone else’s. If you’re not into a few curse words, then you may want to bring your own headphones. It’s on the smaller side but has everything I could think of and was not crowded. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good gym. Then it just went down hill. Then with all their hidden fees, maintenance fees, annual fees it was just too much. Half of the time some of their equipment was out of order. It just wasn’t worth the money. Where do I start with this beautiful gym? Lets start with all the members because they are what makes this gym. I love how everyone is so welcoming and always sharing their knowledge. The equipment and space is so more than you can ask for. Also the time that I take at GB3 gets cut in half because I am not waiting for others or others rushing me during my workout. Best of all is that the gym is open 24 hours. Come join our gym and come work out with us.
