Our facility is the perfect place for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
Our mission at CGC is to provide a high level of instruction, build strong well rounded athletes, and offer a positive environment for the athletes and parents alike while they learn discipline, self reliance and build self-esteem.

My girls love it here! We have bounced around from various locations looking for a gym that my kids could grow in, and THIS IS IT! Going to gymnastics is not a fight anymore and they truly love their teachers and teammates.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Excluded my child before ever meeting him. Went to San Diego Gymnastics and they are fabulous! My son loved it! I would stay away from here! Do your research and look up the investigations of coaches!

I took parkour. When my sister complained about a coach being mean and touching her privates they kicked my whole family out. Now that guy is in jail for oral stuff on a little girl. I hate this place.

It's an OK gym facility, but the parking and pickup arrangements are terrible. The classes are Very expensive and one of their coaches was recently arrested and banned from coaching ANY sport in the future...

Fairly nice gym, but real weird about start times. They will leave you sitting outside with your kid for no legit reason. Customer service is lacking training and understanding of making small concessions to improve overall experience.

May 2023 Update: we come 2x a week and love our coaches. We love Jillian, Heather, Meagan, Laura, Parker, and AJ. Each one of them help her stay focused, aren't afraid to push her more (in reason of course) and help with any basic task ( fixing hair tie, opening water, putting socks on, etc).

Feb 2023: We took advantage of the trail and my daughter loves it! Their hesty military discount has helped us decide to have her in 2x a week. She enjoys alot of the teachers and they are more hands-on, have more resources than the YMCA. that being said, we do both of their gymnastics programs for different reasons.

This place is GREAT. My daughter is in the Gymnastics program nad my son the Parkour program. They both love the classes. I run a Martial Arts school so I appreciate the professionalism from the Coaches as well as the Administrative side of the operation. I would highly recommend.

I was looking for a special gift for a family friend. She is 8 years old and has been wanting to do gymnastics for awhile. I called a bunch of different places for availability, Champion Gymnastics was not my first call. All the other gyms did not have classes available on the days that would not conflict with her soccer games/practices. Luckily Champion Gymnastics has Sunday classes, which is not normal, but it was perfect for us. Their online portal is super easy and when I called about having registration issues I was helped right away, so awesome customer service.

Now, I have 5 kids of my own and all of them have done gymnastics before with 1 doing it competitively for 8 years. I was not expecting much because this was just a fun recreational activity. But I was pleasantly surprised. The coach she had was amazing and gave her the feedback she needed to follow along with the other girls in her group that I can tell have been here for a bit. My favorite part was when the coach actually took a child aside to talk to them about their behavior, not listening or following direction. She did it calmly and professionally but was stern so that the child would learn. As a teacher and a person paying for these classes I was very happy to see this play out. Nothing bothers me more than a child in the class acting out and the time I paid for being wasted because the coach is talking to the same kid the entire hour. So now I know I am getting my money 's worth.

On top of all that, I was very happy to see the entire staff in masks and all the gymnasts also wearing theirs. The parents were outside with great places to see their kids and I felt safe with my kid being there. We have a lot of people who are immune compromised in the family, but I am so happy that I dont have to worry about my kid being here.

So although, this was not my first choice, I am happy this is where we ended up. I was not planning on paying for 2 classes, but my first experience here was so good, I am completely okay with paying for 2 classes afterall.

I cannot say enough good things about this gym. This will be my go to recommendations from now on. As a teacher, I always have parents asking me about extracurricular activites and sports for kids. Now I have one for gymnastics.

For the record, this is my first online review of any kind on any platform. I feel like I need to share one of the best kept secrets and values in all of San Diego. My family (two daughters and a son) came because of the gymnastics (WOW) and overall athletic training (WOW). We stayed because of the character building. I know for a fact my children are better people and able to handle the twist and turns of life because they have been a part of the Champion Gymnastic and Cheer family. Thanks CGC for helping me raise some wonderful kids able to persevere through these challenging times. (7+ years and counting)

My son has been at Champion for a little over a year and has made phenomenal progress in that time. We love the coaches and staff and have felt like family since day one. With covid, Champion has gone above and beyond all requirements to keep our kids safe and healthy. We live a good distance from the gym but it's worth the drive! I would give 10 stars if I could!

Champion Gymnastics & Cheer has been part of our life for almost three years. In that time we have gotten to know the owners and the coaches. We love the family atmosphere, encouraging environment, and focus on excellence at every level. We have done pre-school meetups where kids just get to have fun all the way up to pre-team level training where kids are encouraged and instructed on how to do their best. The staff and other families are supportive and positive. I feel safe dropping my daughter off for classes but have always been permitted to stick around and view her hard work in class. There's a class for every level and level of commitment. Give CGC a try. We did and we haven't been disappointed.

We are in Aug 2020 during Covid. Our family is very grateful for Champion for continuing their kids classes during this peculiar time. When other places may be closed or doing virtual classes, this place is still running in person. When our kids our stuck at home because of all that's going on our kids can look forward to getting their energy out here in a positive way.

My daughter started at Champion gymnastics in January on their competitive team. We absolutely love it here. We came from a gym that we were at for four years but decided to look for a more competitive facility. We did trials at every gym in the area. Champion Gymnastics is the perfect fit. They have amazing role models as coaches that teach kids to work hard and do better without ever putting them down. My daughter begs to go to gym because of the amazing environment. We are so happy here and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to put their kids in gymnastics!!

My children have been taking classes at Champion Gymnastics and Cheer for almost a year and absolutely LOVE it! All of their coaches have been wonderful. I have been especially impressed with everything they have done to reopen after Covid closures. They have gone way above and beyond what is required of them to keep everyone safe with appropriate distancing, sanitation measures, and even new equipment! My kids are so happy that they can attend classes in person-it is definitely the highlight of their week!

My daughter has been attending this facility for 2 years now. She participates in the advanced tumbling class with Coach Austin. This facility by far has met and exceeded all expectations we were looking for in a facility. From the friendliness to the cleanliness to the safety of the kids. My daughter has progressed tremendously with Coach Austin. Pre pandemic this facility was on top of their daily cleaning which was observed every time I was there. With this current and unfortunate pandemic, this facility has made drastic changes to keep not only the kids safe but the coaches and parents observing outside as well. I consistently observe the coaches in the outside observing area (which is clearly marked by 6 feet markers) cleaning every single equipment to having all kids hand sanitize, even feet sanitize before and after each worked station. They show commitment to providing the safest environment possible. Thank you CGC for your dedication in keeping the facility safe and clean for all.

We have been with Champion Gymnastics and cheer for about 3 years now. The coaching staff along with the owners have always treated us as family. The fact that they know all the kids and parents names and take the time to get to know you, not just your athlete, They have taken extraordinary measures during this extremely difficult time to keep our children safe and healthy while attending their training classes. With new state of the art air bags, cleaning system for all equipment, along with hand sanitizing stations. One of best decisions we ever made for our son.

With a daughter in gymnastics and a son in parkour, our experience with this gym has been excellent. Every staff member treats you like family. The coaching is positive and I see coaches giving individual feedback to the kids so they can grow in their skills right where they are, gently pushing them to grow and improve. Their response to reopening under the current COVID situation has exceeded expectations. Of all the activities we used to do, this is the only place we have returned to because of the safety precautions they have undertaken.

We found CGC a little over a year ago. It is the best choice we’ve made for our 4 kids. It is now our home away from home. Our 2 kids on team have grown and excelled not just in their gymnastics skills, but also their character. Our other 2 kids love participating in the Rec classes for physical fitness and fun.
CGC is exceeding industry standards in cleanliness in this pandemic era. We feel confident in our children’s ability to stay healthy while attending their classes.
The coaches & staff are the most genuine, honest, caring, hard-working people in the gymnastics community.
We will be a Champion family for life!

I love this place. My 10 year old son does parkour here and has enjoyed it a lot. Coach Austin is a great/friendly coach/ leader with the kids and gives personal attention. Since Covid started, they have been great about keeping everything sanitized after every kid uses it, maintaining distance, checking temps at the door, etc. I would definitely recommend this place!

Update: My sons have been doing Parkour at CGC a few years now, and during Covid I am more thankful than ever. Champion was able to retain our awesome coach, Austin, through shutdown and opened back up with strict sanitary conditions! They addded more classes to keep them small, clean regularly, installed new equipment, and have open air sessions practically! It is nice for my guys to have an activity they love open during this trying time! Yay CGC!!!!

My sons tried a free tumbling class but really wanted more of a "trick" class--you know. ninja Warrior! My youngest stayed on in the tumbling class and less than a month later the owners announce the first "tricking" or Parkour class. Well, both my boys and numerous friends have joined and Love it! The coach is fun and talented, and the only complaint we have is "why can't we have more days of the class?!" Thanks CGC!

My son started gymnastics here over a year and a half ago. We figured it would be good to help with coordination and strength and to get that extra energy out. We weren’t expecting him to fall in love with it the way he has. Champion gymnastics has turned his hobby into a passion. Coach JJ is great with all of the kids and inspires them to believe in themselves. It’s so rewarding to see my son achieve goals and be proud of himself. This is an amazing gym with great values and their priorities straight. It’s all about the kids here!

CGC is amazing!
It is a family run gym and the staff is always reevaluating things to ensure that they’re providing the best for their gymnasts. My daughter is on the competitive gymnastics team and the coaches are amazing. Champion is like a home away from home for the gymnasts and I feel great knowing that my girl is being well taken care of. They work the girls hard while also providing a positive atmosphere for them. The EXCEL team and the boys team are also top notch.
As a military family we move a lot and it’s difficult to to know whether a gym is going to work out... we’ve been with Champion since we moved here about a year ago and we’ll be sticking with them until we move again. I can’t say enough about how awesome CGC is!

Our son has been assisting for over 6 months now. First I want to say how amazing is to see a gym with regular gymnastic classes for boys. Most gyms in San Diego offer parkour or martial arts for boy like boys can’t be gymnastics! So I’m so grateful to find a place where my son can learn and improve his gymnastics skills. They are super clean, and they have handle the pandemic very well, providing a safe and fun environment for the kids

My daughter was pre-team at another facility before moving to Champion, and I can honestly say that we could not be happier with our choice to enroll her at Champion. The owners are incredibly communicative, kind and exhibit in their every behavior and decision regarding their programs that they care about the kids and what is best for them over anything else. They have employed the best protective technology in the wake of COVID 19 (air pits instead of marshmallow pits, special cleaning and sanitization procedures both during and after practices, mask requirements, etc.). They made sure to retain all of their staff amid the closings because they care about the people, and they care about the quality of the programs they have in place. The coaches are excellent. The methods they use to teach are extremely effective and safe. My daughter has progressed an immense amount in the much shorter time she has been at Champion than she did at her previous gym. Finally, my daughter loves her practices--she comes home every time enthused and excited about what they did and what she learned. Overall, I highly recommend Champion to any family with an interest in gymnastics.

My daughter was begging to start gymnastics, so we signed her up at Champion. She's been to two classes so far and LOVES it. The staff is so welcoming when she walks in (she's super shy, but has definitely felt comfortable) and her instructor, Andrea, memorized her name during the first class. I love seeing our little girl so excited and breaking out of her shell. Champion has also gone the extra mile when it comes to COVID-19 safety and all the precautions they take show how much they care about everyone's well-being.

As a new parent to this gym, my first day I ALREADY feel welcome and at ease with all the precautions that are out into place to keep their gymnasts safe. From sanitation machines, constant cleaning and the number of people allowed is above anything I've seen from other facilities. The owners are also AMAZING! They are NOT all about the money, that's for sure. They welcomed us with open arms.

Amazing! Taking a trial class here for my daughter a few months ago was a great decision! The facility is very well-kept and the staff is knowledgeable and responsive. From the first 10 minutes of the trial class alone I could tell this school was completely different from any other classes my kids have been in. Even in the beginner's recreational class there is a structure being followed, and results are happening quickly. This does not mean that it is rigid and not fun, they perfectly blend fun and skill-building so that you get something they are excited about but also challenges them (mentally and physically). The open floor-plan where you can see all different levels, ages and skill-sets training really allows you to see a sizable span of possibilities on a single given day.

The bottom line is that my daughter is noticeably progressing with each class. They are not just tiring out a 6 year-old for an hour, they are actually teaching and building a foundation. I love that they offer dual tracks (recreational and competitive), so we can decide as we go forward how she will progress.

I love the staff here. My daughter also loves taking gymnastics classes here. We took her to a free trial class between that class and her watching some of the older athletes, that's all it took. The desk staff is wonderful and the coaches, they are great. Very low coach to student ratio and very hands on. I always see the coaches show the children what to do, by example. I have noticed that if a coach asks someone to do something, it's something they can do also. There is something about this facility that my daughter really likes, she didn't know anyone here, over other facilities that her friends go to. My little girl totally adores Coach Lena and Coach Kelsey (I think I totally misspelled that), she actually looks forward to coming to practice/class and looks up to them. This facility has recreational and competitive levels with no pressure to go the competitive route but all levels of both. Also, last but not least, the prices are great. CGC has all that I look for in a training facility starting with a dedicated staff and proper equipment.

JJ and Champion Gymnastics & Cheer ("CGC") are wonderful. Our daughter attends gymnastics there regularly and loves it. Not only is the gym top notch, but the staff are very caring and create an awesome environment for the kids.

Tip: CGC is an amazing place to have a kid's birthday party (or other party event). Inexpensive and perfect for the kids. We had our daughter's 4th b-day there and we had parent after parent telling us it was one of the best kid's b-day parties they had ever been to and that they were going to book a party there. My daughter has been coming to Champion Gymnastics for about a year and a half now. She has learned a great deal and enjoys coming to class every time. I've watched her develop from an awkward child, to a skilled and confident little lady. The coaching staff are all extremely experienced, knowledgeable, and work well with all the kids. Their focus is always on safety, proper technique and personal development. I have recommended this center to many people over the last year and a half and they all have nothing but positive things to say about the great staff. You don't just join a gym here, you join a family.
