Speaking from personal experience. If you’re looking for a fun, lighthearted, recreational gymnastics experience, this gym can be a great fit. My kids truly enjoyed their time in the recreational classes.

However, if your child’s goal is to compete SERIOUSLY and pursue gymnastics at a higher level, this is not the gym for that. My daughter joined what was promoted as a competitive program, but what was promised and what was actually delivered were two very different things. The program switched from USAG to NGA to AAU three major changes in one season and the structure and training quality declined each time.

We were ultimately refunded after realizing the "competitive" season we were sold on was not legitimate. Since leaving, we've had our daughter evaluated by credible, established COMPETITIVE gyms and their top concern was alarming. The techniques she was taught here were unsafe and could lead to serious injury, including broken bones. That says a lot about the lack of proper competitive coaching and oversight.

The owner continues to promote a dream of high-level competition that simply doesn't exist there, and unfortunately, many families fall for it especially since this is the only local option. Yes, it's local and convenient, but for what you're paying, why not invest that same amount or even less into a program where your child is actually guaranteed the opportunity to grow and reach their competitive goals?

Another major concern is that the owner often uses scare tactics to justify all the changes and will try to overtalk you with a stream of "facts." Those "facts" may sound good, but unfortunately, they’re not 100% true they're presented in a way that makes everything sound more in her favor. Please do your own research. You’ll quickly see those explanations are polished-up stories meant to benefit their pockets, not your child's future in gymnastics.

And while they like to advertise being the "top gym" in the area - look around and ask what they're being compared to. There's no real competition locally, which is why so many families stay without realizing there are much better options just a short drive away. There are actually quite a few options within a 30-mile radius, but we personally chose to explore two gyms in Temecula because of the strong programs they offered and how well they aligned with our daughter's competitive goals. Both gyms have many athletes who left CG and are now thriving relearning skills safely, correctly, and progressing faster. Several former coaches from CG have also moved to those gyms for the same reasons.

If your child is truly aiming to compete, do your research. Although the gyms aren't as "local" the other gyms offer real USAG programs, professional coaching, and better pricing with far more value and transparency than what we experienced here.

Bottom line: This gym is fine for recreational fun, but not for genuine competition. Protect your child’s safety and your family’s investment by exploring all your options first.

If anything at all PLEASE, PLEASE do your OWN research.

Literally my favorite people ever.
Each one of them is dedicated & amazing with the kids in their own unique ways.
My daughter has battled some on & off health problems yet they have been extremely accommodating helping adjust our schedule & needs.
Make up days are always readily available & honored. (Mind you, like any business, they need notice in advance that you won't be attending or check availability for said make up day) that's just an obvious courtesy you should give them anyways. Classes are set to not be over crowded so the children are receiving even attention.
We have 2 children & they always do their best to keep us on the same time/day when they level up.
My son has come out of his shell since starting here 2 years ago. 2 years of slowly breaking down his walls from standing off in a corner & they never stopped trying. He now joins the warm up with a SMILE, which we never though would happen.
My daughter has 2 best friends here now & has also blossomed from being afraid to try anything.
Not only are the prices very fair but they are so much more than just a business. I'd def recommend them if your looking for some where to start your little one.

Today my pregnant daughter, her husband, and my granddaughter had to catch a Uber Driver to get to gymnastics class with booster seat in hand. She got there about 10 minutes late and asked the lady at the desk if her daughter could go on in and she said no without any explanation whatsoever. Despite being told a UBER driver was used for the family to get there and apologized for being late.

As we had never been late before we did not know why she was turned away so gruffly leaving everyone bewildered and my granddaughter terribly disappointed. The family stepped outside and called me to come pick them up, because the woman at the desk turned them away.

As I was driving to pick them up, my daughter went back into the building and a different lady was there at the counter, and my daughter expressed her displeasure with the other woman's lack of professionalism by talking so rudely, with no explanation for treating them that way.

The other lady apologized and tried to make amends for the rudeness of the other lady, but my daughter said she had never been treated so callously before and wanted a full refund for the month she had just paid the day before, and was cancelling my granddaughter's membership with their business.

Not treating people the right way leaves a bad impression, and hurts children the most when not treated kindly, and there really is no excuse for that kind of behavior.

I do not recommend it to any parent. It is good and fun for the kids but they promise make up classes and they drop you without a notice or anything.
Even though I have called to cancel, I came in the very same day to change the class days as I was not able to make it those days. They told me "okay as of now we don't have availability in that other day but we will place you in the waiting list." And I asked them to make sure they didn't drop me off the class as I was going to try to figure it out until there was space in another date. They assure me that it won't happen. And today I show up and they are not in the class anymore.
They had 5 and 7 classes for make-up and didn't got to do them. About a month and a half of tuition without utilizing their services.

Quite disappointed. Put my 6yr old daughter on waitlist. Never received a call in regards to classes for her. Called back multiple times and left messages. Never called back. Either they don't care or they're so busy they're letting new customers fall through the cracks. Either way, left a sour taste.

Gabriella has been part of this Gym for a few months now and she loves her time at the gym! She has an amazing coach (KIM) who is always making sure every kid in her class is learning and trying to their full potential without making it boring and stressful! Gabriella is always looking forward to her gymnastics day! Thank you Coach Kim for everything you have taught and continue to teach Gabriella!

Horrible Trainers. My daughter who is three, was so excited seeing all the children, and was excited to start her training, she wasn’t even there a week, and I got a call from a trainer stating that the only way we can continue her training is if I trained her and they will help me along the way. Which I didn’t understand because obviously they are trained to train right? My daughter is very well behaved, she’s also loves saying hello and introducing her self, she was so happy to be apart of a group that had children her age, she was only there for 2 DAYS and her father and I were there to make sure she listened and complied to everything the trainer needed her to do, and listen Im not the type of parent to enable a child’s behavior. So, I took her out and went to another place, which are the absolute best! Waste of money, and poor quality service.

I had both my grandkids in and am an ex gymnast. Very poor quality, no real one-on-one instruction or real attention. And me and the other parents agreed. I don't know where these five stars come from. I would be beyond frustrated every single week watching.

My kids loved it. Then the ac went out in the middle of summer. They refused to supply water while it was 110 inside the large metal building we were in. Of corse i was still charged full price while the ac wasnt working for the whole month. We wont be back.

I had the worst experience at Charlot Gymnastics Gym. I went inside to speak to one of the associates so I can sign up my daughter for Gymnastic and a lady who was behind the counter did not greet me she looked at me and didn't speak I was flabbergasted that a person can treat a customer like this. I would never suggest Charlot Gymnastic to anyone their customer service is the worst please spend your money elsewhere.

My children love coming here! I have younger children. The coaches include learning colors, shapes, letters, and numbers into the classes. We both enjoy this added aspect. My son enjoys them so much he practices what he learned in the parking lot while I try to load him into our vehicle. The coaches are great at motivating and getting the children to learn in a positive manner. My son started out in 3 time outs during the first class. This quickly changed and now they say his name because he starts to get distracted and he is back paying attention to the coaches. This is a great place to be active, learn, grow, and have fun!!

My original intention was just to train my boys with gymnastic skills as a precursor to martial arts training. Little did I know, they love going here more than their karate classes. Well no wonder...Becky and her staff are great. She knows how to progress the kids according to their skill levels while having fun at the same time. I am impressed with her safety protocols. Overall, this has been a great experience [its even cheaper than Karate!]
