I started training with Chris in July 2025 after a really disappointing experience with another trainer at another gym. I was skeptical of trainers to say the least. This time I wanted to do my due diligence. I read the awseome reviews, I stalked his Instagram page and even joined SouthPas before signing up with him to get a gage on him to see if they were true! LOL. At first, I learned that he was dedicated trainer because no matter how late I was there, so was he, even on holidays! (I thought, "Ahhh he loves his job!") I introduced myself to him and was he really personable, easygoing, and nice. . . a people person! I thought to myself, "so far so good", and I as write this review exactly 2 months after training with him, I KNOW that I made the right decision!!! Chris listened to my goals and came up with a plan that is not only working but most importantly, I am learning true technique and knowledge about weightlifting. He has a wonderful way of patiently breaking down an exercise using language that a beginner can understand and all the while empowering you to engage with your body as you learn how to use your body. In this short time, I've learned to execute squats, RDLs, barbell hip thrusts, bulgarian split squats with proper form and confidence. These are exercises that I hated 2 months ago because, previously, I wasn't taught the proper way to do them by an impatient trainer. I thought it would have taken me 6 months to a year to get where I am today. Chris is the kind of trainer that has infused me with the foundation I need to pursue a healthier and fit life. Today, I am stronger and also seeing some results in my core and my glutes! Chris is also consistent and dependable. I am no longer on the hunt for a trainer . . .Chris is my trainer for life!!!

I started training with Chris after a knee injury and have been training with him for about a year. He has amazing knowledge not only about weightlifting form and body mechanics, but also nutrition and health. In addition to being very kind, he has been incredibly responsive and flexible. He tailors workouts to individual goals and needs, always with safety in mind. It would be hard to find a better trainer!

I only worked with Chris one on one once but he changed the understanding of my mechanics creating a ripple effect of understanding beyond what we worked on. If I was still living in LA I would use him as a source for tactical feedback and precision on goals. Great dude with a big heart.

Chris is one of the greatest, most knowledgeable, professional, and personable people I’ve ever met. Two years ago he helped me lose 25lbs for my wedding, and has since been my trainer - always there for me to chat about personal training goals, ongoing injuries, and life events.
Both an amazing trainer and someone that can relate to people of all walks of life, Chis takes time to understand what you need and where you’re trying to get to. He knows how to push you to reach limits, but also takes the time to understand your unique story and what you want out of fitness and lifestyle.

I've had a great experience training with Chris over the past months. I was intimidated to go to the gym because I didn't know how to use the machines or what to do with the dumbbells. I wanted to learn proper form to avoid injury, but it was difficult for me to do because I didn't know what I was doing.
Chris translated my body goals into a plan. He explained what I needed to do and the routine to do it. He watched and corrected my form which helped me to train my mind and body connection. He's also friendly, approachable, flexible, and encourages accountability which makes me look forward to our sessions.
He gave me the information and confidence to train on my own as he introduced more complex routines to our sessions. And he showed me how to properly do particular workouts when I wanted to add them to my routine. I'm now more comfortable with myself going to the gym. I noticed a difference in my strength and body with his attention, and I'm excited to see more progress. I highly recommend Chris for anyone looking to progress their fitness goals!

Chris is an awesome trainer. I started working with him when I was getting back into strength training after a long break, and he’s made the whole process way easier. He’s super focused on form and technique, which has helped me get more out of my workouts and avoid injuries. He has a great eye for making minor tweaks that make a huge difference especially with compound lifts and more advanced exercises.
Every session he pushes me the right amount. He comes in with a custom plan for each workout and always adds new exercises, so I’m constantly learning and it never gets boring.
I think whether you’re just starting out or are more advanced, Chris would be a huge asset to your fitness journey. I would not be this close to hitting my fitness goals without his help. Plus, he has a good sense of humor and is just a great person to hang out with while you’re working out!

I don’t like weightlifting and I don’t even particularly like exercising at the gym, but I do like training with Chris. He has a great eye for form so I get the most out of each rep and he takes great care to customize the movement to what I need, including taking injuries into consideration. I have been training with Chris for about 3 years. He is amazing to train with and so knowledgeable and great at explaining the workout. He’s amazing at creating a program fine tuned for you, when I injured my knee he worked with me to really create a program specific to my needs. He has given me the confidence and strength to not give up on my goals. The gym used to be intimidating but not anymore thanks to Chris.

Great trainer and super nice guy!
After the pandemic, I knew I needed to get back into shape. I signed up for a free session when I joined the gym that Chris worked at. I thought I would give personal training a try as I tried bootcamps and other group training in the past. I did struggle with shoulder issues due to surgeries in the past and hoped to work on that area. Chris worked me through those issues and he would make adjustments to our training as required. As a client for almost 2 years, I can now say personal training is very helpful. It's nuanced for the client as opposed to group workouts. My shoulder feels exceptionally better and stronger.
I credit Chris to his coaching and most importantly his care and commitment with his clients. He's a professional guy with a friendly and positive approach to working out and I credit my progress to his style. He makes working out fun and you will get gains if you follow his advice. I highly recommend him.

I started going to South Pas Fitness around 3 years ago and it was one of the best decisions I had made in a long time. The gym itself is fantastic and feels nothing like those overcrowded, run of the mill, smelly and somehow overly sterile at the same time gyms that we all know and barely tolerate. The entire place is state of the art and feels almost like a cozy restaurant!
But the real icing on the cake is my trainer Chris Eicher!! I was his first client when he had just started and I knew right away that he was going to help me accomplish my goals. He attentively listened to all of my goals, gave me an excellent routine, helped me make progress over time, thoroughly challenged me at every encounter, encouraged me to succeed and made working out super fun!
Even though I haven’t been his client for some time now, he still checks in on me and is one of the reasons I still go after it! I highly recommend his services for anyone at any level!

I had never had a gym membership before working with Chris. I was a little intimidated by the setting and didn’t know where to begin. After four months of weekly workouts with Chris, I was hooked. His patient and flexible instruction steadily built on itself and gave me everything I needed to establish a regular, progressive routine. I've been training with Chris for over two years now and he's been great in keeping me motivated and engaged when it comes to our sessions as well as outside of our sessions.
He always caters each exercise based upon my limitations (I'm very accident prone and have had multiple injuries that have limited my movement and strength). He's patient with me and knows when I've maxed out/gassed out. He'll make alternative exercises. He'll change the routine. He's always accommodating to my limitations and needs.

I've been training with Chris for well over 2 years now and can say without hesitation he is the greatest trainer there is. I helped my mom interview several personal trainers; none of them came close to his caliber.
Chris is knowledgeable, approachable, and flexible. He is also empathetic, passionate, and (extremely) organized. Chris uses his expertise in fitness and nutrition to customize workout plans for each client based on their specific goals and ability. He takes notes so that he can record his clients' progress over time. He regularly checks in with his clients about their goals and conditions to adjust the plans as needed.
Chris knows that I prefer new or fun activities; so, he regularly sets short-term goals or new challenges for me to make workout fun. He encourages me to lift heavier weights incrementally. He believes and knows my ability often when I doubt it myself--but he has been proven right time and time again. He helps me build strength, both physically and mentally. Two years ago, I was intimidated by the very idea of setting foot in a gym, but now, Chris has made it such a positive place that I can’t wait to get back to the gym after returning from vacation. I'm lucky to have Chris as my trainer and guide in my fitness journey. I highly recommend him to anyone!

I did an introductory session with Chris, followed by a 4-workout package at SouthPas Fitness two years ago and it changed my entire outlook and attitude toward nutrition and training.
Early last year, as a New Year's gift to myself, I purchased a 12-workout package. I shared my specific goals with Chris and he tailored our routine to meet them. The investment was well worth it. Since the beginning of last year, I lost 8 pounds of body fat and gained 2 pounds of muscle. Chris is thoughtful in his planning and fastidious in ensuring my form is optimal to meet my objectives while avoiding injury. My clothes fit looser and I'm in the best shape of my life.
On top of it all, Chris has become an indispensable fixture in my life: a coach, a mentor, and a friend, easy to talk to and a pleasure to work with. Few people in my life have had as profound and lasting an impact as Chris. I couldn't recommend him any more highly.

Nearly three years ago I went to Chris so that I wouldn’t embarrass myself on a European tour getting on and off busses. I wanted to be sure I could do the steep steps myself without someone having to push me from behind. Chris more than exceeded in helping me meet that goal. In the years since, he has gotten me stronger and stronger. I continue to surprise myself in what I can do. He is a delightful, caring and knowledgeable young man, striving to improve his knowledge of the human anatomy and nutrition. He pushes me constantly but never too far. I have been working with Chris steadily for over 2 years. I was fit when I started with him, but Chris has absolutely TRANSFORMED by body in a way I never dreamed possible!
