Chuze fitness didn't even warn me that the pool was going to be closed forever, with no email or message.

I signed because of the gym's pool. The pool has improved my health. My plans to improve my health are ruined!!! The pool has allowed my body to have a low-impact workout, building muscle strength, strengthing my heart and lungs, improving my circulation, reducing the risk of heart disease, building strength and endurance throughout my arms, legs, back, and core.

I am feel sad, let down, and dishearted because of the closure of the pool.

I don’t want the pool to close down because the doctor recommended the pool. I have arthritis chronic of the cervical spine. The pool has helped me to be myself again. I am able to use my body and my limbs better because of the pool. Also, it’s a big part of our community to help it improve and keep good health. Please don’t close the pool it’s indispensable for people like me. Ultimately, we don’t need an olympic size pool, just enough space for a regular gym pool to continue our classes and walk in the water.

I abrupty found out that Chuze is going to close the pool; only in our location. I didn't even receive an email like other members. Why can't you guys make the pool smaller instead if destroying it completely. Even, the teachers and staff didn't know about your decision. I feel very dissapointed. I joined the gym because of the pool. The doctor told me to stay in aqua aerobic because it's helping my body to stay in good health. The doctors also told me to stay away from weight machines. It's unfair that you are taking away the pool from our community. I loved this place because it's good for our community, the teachers are amazing, and people who come to the aqua classes. I am going to look for another gym that will have a pool.

I am shocked by today's email. You all have decided to close the pool permanently; when it has become part of our community, and helped many people with their health. Why would you guys shut down the pool and not care about your clients who are swimmers? There is nothing better for us than the pool. It is so emotinally painful. I am deeply heartbroken. Today, I received an email from Chuze. It said that the pool was going to permanently be closed in December of 2025. I signed up for the membership to use the pool. anytime after 5PM is just insanely full of people. half the people there are with a couple and just kissing and not working out 80% of the time. most major machines (pec fly, bicep curls, squat lifts have atleast 2 people waiting. mens locker room has a harsh rotting smell, only 2 days and thats eveything ive noticed

They keep changing their sign in mentions at random and the new changes don't make it easier to check in. The new check ins aren't easier or more convenient to check in. The gym is warm. A lot of remodeling that has multiple machines closed/off and when that remodeling finishes in that area, the machines continue to be out of service despite the area it's in not being closed anymore

Before April 2nd Benihana was one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately fornme, I am allergic to, some of the most common foods, rice, mushrooms and gluten. Even with that, I can still manage. After waiting several hours, and watching every one else eat. I wad told, people with allergies, are served last. This is a photo of my plate as everyone else was served. My family had a great time and enjoyed their food. I think if this is Benihana's policy, they should let person's with allergies know that prior to arrival.

Overall the facility is good, good amount of equipment and variety, and I appreciate the variety of classes they offer. To use the kids club you have to pay the highest membership but it’s honestly not bad at all, because daycare is very expensive anyhow and their kid club is actually pretty nice.

I have to deduct some stars because it’s difficult to use any equipment, it’s just way too crowded it feels like you can barely walk in there. Even the classes are way too crowded , it’s a pain to reserve a spot. … and don’t even get me started on finding parking ..

I think Chuze is doing very well (seeing how many members crowd the place) and should invest some money in opening other locations to ease the load on this gym and not have it be so crowded . Overall it’s a good gym , but because it’s too crowded I’m considering switching to a closer gym once the annual membership is over.

Worst gym ever I pay the highest membership and for what !!!!! the doors to go in the Sauna are always broken they have learned how to break the lock so that the door do not lock so anyone can go in that does not have the membership to enter and yes workers have been told and do nothing about it at all I have witnessed that they see others open the door for others and don’t tell them anything . Not fair to the ones that have to pay. Saunas are disgusting. Jacuzzi is super yellow, floor is always slippery in the sauna area I have witnessed several people slip and hurt themselves. Machines are always broken. Parking is horrible gym is always packed floor is always dirty with stains Seems like it does not get mopped often. Pool doors are always open, which does not let you have a peaceful sauna experience due to pool area always loud . Sauna doors are broken and dirty not properly fixed , sauna and steam room area flooring is always dirty and wet. There is always wipes on the floor. gym workers are always all together in the front desk if something is wrong in the gym and you go tell them they will not go and deal with it right away. They are always in the same spot instead of checking to make sure everything is clean they should put at least one in the sauna doors to make sure they are scanning their gym membership to go into the sauna area

Let me start by saying that my home Chuze location is the one in Temple City on Rosemead, and the experience there sets the bar high. The gym culture, member etiquette, and staff involvement are exactly what you’d hope for in a fitness environment. Everyone understands the basics—rack your weights after use and clean up your space. It’s part of gym respect.

Unfortunately, my experience at the Chuze in Cudahy was a major letdown in comparison. Weights were left scattered all over the floor, equipment wasn’t re-racked, and it felt like gym etiquette was completely out the window. I didn’t see the same level of attentiveness from staff when it came to organizing or maintaining the workout area like I consistently see in Temple City, where staff members are always walking the floor and keeping things in order.

I get that some of this comes down to location and the crowd, but we’re all adults—we should know better. Respecting shared spaces is basic courtesy, and that responsibility falls on the members just as much as it does on staff.

The only reason I came to this location was because I was in LA for the night and didn’t want to drive 45 minutes to my home gym. I really hope the next time I visit, I’m not met with the same disappointment. To the members at this location: do better. It’s not just about you—it’s about everyone else sharing the space too.

I have been a member at this location since 2021and I typically enjoy my experience. However, my workout partner and I have recently encountered repeated instances of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from some of your staff members, which I believe warrants attention.

On multiple occasions, employee Luz and Ashley have spoken to us in a condescending tone, unfairly singled us out for policy enforcement, or made inappropriate comments. Their behavior has made me us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in a space where we should feel welcomed, supported and safe during workouts.

I want to be clear that my intention is not to escalate unnecessarily, but I do expect to be treated with respect, as all members should be. I am requesting that this issue be looked into promptly and that appropriate action is taken to ensure that all members are treated fairly and respectfully.

I am happy to provide more details if needed, including dates and specifics of the interactions. Please let me know how you plan to address this matter because I've reported it to management at the Chuze location, I also submitted an inquiry via the Chuze website and this behavior continues.

This past Monday my workout partner and I was stoped by a crew member and she prohibit us from exiting the facility for not racking weights on the leg press machine. We never used leg press machine. So why should I rack weights is didn’t use. I told them I wasn't racking those weights until they show us that we touched that machine. Lead Ashley refused to show me the video of her wrongly accusing us of not racking weights and told us we are no longer allowed at the gym.

A WARNING TO FEMALE GYM MEMBERS: The management at this location is unprepared ,and unwilling to keep members safe from being recorded without their knowledge. I had TWO incidences at this gym where I was recorded without consent during my work out, and both times management failed to remove the creeps from returning. This must be the worst Chuze fitness club. I Exactly know why this gym is so crowded.I know the fact that you allowed guest which is totally fine but a lot of member brings 2-3 individuals who just get in the gym. NO CHECKING.. NOTHING. So as I observed almost ,20% of the gym goers are not paying or non gym members. This cause an almost an hour waiting time to some equipments which sucks. But you have to screen or do something at the entrance to make sure everyone is a member or at least as a valid guest. There should be some sort of control because its not fair to us a valued member who cant use some equipments because bunch of friends are doing it at the same time and it takes them ages to finish.

I started very well and everything was fine and the staff. Very well, but on Wednesday, April 23, I had a problem with one of the supervisors named Luz Elena, because I negotiated the service of the chair zero of massage and I as a member have every right to grab that service and I had my daughter as a guest and I wanted her to use the massage because I thought to grab her membership for her too, but the supervisor behaved very rude with me and with my daughter and told me that she as a supervisor could deny the massage for my daughter that even though... I just started coming to this GYM and might I say that its AMAZING!!! I love it here the staff is friendly and so helpful. I love that they have a daycare and they have wide selection fitness classes all day. I would highly recommend coming and checking it out. One thing I will say parking is not the greatest only down fall.

1st problem is the parking. You spend about 10 minutes looking to park. Good looking finding a parking spot on this super busy plaza .
2nd problem is the machines are always taken and being used by big groups of people.
3rd the machine are always broken, decline bench, ab machine, calf machine, back machine and also shoulder machine. Some of these machines need W-40 or some type of lubricant because they feel old and rusty and tense. They aren't smooth.
4th is the lack of variation for machines. They have only 2 machines for tricep and it's the same machine! They could diversify their machines more.
5 is the lack of work the employees do. There's 5 people standing behind the counter and the bathrooms need to be clean , the wipes need to be refilled. The weights are scattered all over the place, please have someone get to work and not have 5 people behind the counter.
6 luz the lead is very rude and by the looks of the reviews I'm not the only person who thinks so. She had a power trip over my guest signing in the computer. I walked in with my guess signed in with my phone and my guest Walked to the computer to sign in but that wasn't good enough for Luz . She wanted me to wait and babysit my guess to finish signing in while I was on my way to the restroom. Power trip and didn't even make feel welcomed to the gym . I just cancelled my membership on the spot. I don't like her energy and her attitude and don't want to be part of any environment with such bad energy coming from Leads
Oh and I forgot to mention. The awful smell. I know it's a gym but it's Very unsanitary. They can at least spray some smell good or something to make it less smelly or fix their ventilation system

Chuze is a great and welcoming gym that since the first day I went it felt like I had been going there forever. The workers were kind enough to show me around the gym and the area is big enough with so many amenities. To start, the grass area is great for stretching, yoga, plyometrics, and bodyweight exercises. I come from.planet fitness and it is a great upgrade to have a whole room for squat racks and leg focused equipment. As well as the upper body area with many freeweight machines that target the muscles I focus on. The only issue I would say is that since the gym is such a good environment for working out, others want to join. This leads to issues with finding parking due to the gym being in a crowded shopping center with a grocery store. Also in the afternoons it is almost impossible to find a open machine which is not the gyms fault but its also important to consider if you plan on having a quick efficient work out. I got in the mornings around 5:30 to avoid this issue and still at that time I still struggle to find parking but the entire gym is wayy less empty and allows me to work out quicker qnd more efficiently. The other stuff like pool, sauna, smoothie bar, and classes I dont really use but its great to know that I have them at hand. In general it is a great gym for certain people but time efficiency is a issue which could be solved by opening more locations nearby.

This is a review about Luz. I just got this membership. I love that they have a daycare and many classes. The facility is really nice and staff is super helpful. I am only giving them one star because of an employee by the name of Luz. I do not have her last name unfortunately, as her badge only said Luz-lead, working on a Tuesday night. I had some questions and perhaps she was stressed or overwhelmed by the influx of people coming in that she spoke very rudely and annoyed at my questions, trying to dismiss me as soon as possible. That’s not the kind of vibe anyone enjoys, to be frank. A guy took over to help me because he saw she was frustrated and he was very helpful and friendly like the rest of the staff. Amazing gym! Super crowded sometimes but with nice perks but thanks to Luz, I am giving it a one star. Good job , Luz 👍

Honest Review: Chuze Fitness

Chuze is a great spot to get your workout in. The place is clean and well-equipped with everything you need - solid selection of weights, machines, and cardio equipment. Fair warning though: it gets pretty packed during peak hours, so timing your workouts is key. And yeah, there's definitely an attractive crowd that works out here.

👌🏻👌🏻Here's the real talk about membership - don't waste your money on the premium plans. It's seriously not worth it. The sauna door is literally never locked, and neither is the "exclusive" weight room - and these are supposed to be premium features. Nobody ever checks, and people just walk right in. Save your money and stick with the basic plan, you'll get access to everything anyway whether you pay for it or not.

Overall, Chuze is a solid gym with good value, especially with the basic membership. The staff is friendly, the equipment is well-maintained, and the vibe is right. The gym was yellow which I like it since yellow is my favorite color. I like the variety of music. What I also like it is that they have a cinema where we can do trademills. I recommend if you live in the area you go to Chuze Fitness instead of other gyms like Crunch, Gold’s Gym, LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, 24 hr and etc. Chuze Fitness is one of the best gyms ever!!!

However, they are wildy overcrowded and a lot of the younger folks who come in do tend to hog the more popular machines and the squat racks/bench. They really need to implement and enforce a strict time limit per user during peak hours. This is honestly a dealbreaker if you want to workout anytime between 3 and 10pm. But giving it an extra star for the friendly staff and the kids club! But in reality the crowded peak times mixed with the machine hogging makes this a 2/5 when it wouldve been an easy 5.

Not a great gym at all. You are better off driving to Planet Fitness to get a better workout, it is overcrowded and very compact. People just hog the machines for 40 minutes doing the same workout. Equipment has been broken or ready to break down for a month and staff has not resolved it.

Mi esposo es miembro de ese gimnasio desde que inició… hoy lamentablemente llevo a su niño como lo a estado asiendo desde lo operaron de su rodilla y no una dos empleadas del lugar lo amenazaron con sacarlo de ahí si lo seguía llevando sin pagarle otra membresía y el paga por llevar un invitado, fueron muy groseras aparte un joven ni le quería hablar en español… es una pena que tengan personas no capacitadas para tratar con sus clientes quienes pagan a tiempo .. muy mal la atención al cliente

I like this gym, but i need to alert the users, is some people snek inside the restrooms lockers, an steal money or something valuable. Hapen to me yesterday tuesday 08/13/2024.
I found some stuff, (back pack, sweter, etc), outside the locker on sunday 08/11/2024.
Becarefull if you live your staff inside that lockers.
El pasado martes 08/13/24, alguien me robo mas de $100 en los lockers del baño. El domingo anterior encontre una ropa y maletin afuera de un locker, lo reporte. Los muchachos encargados solo estan autorizados a tomar fotos.
Pongan atencion a cualquier anomalis, ya que si nos unimos los usuarios, ese ladron caera...

I mainly love to workout in peace and the yellow room is perfect to get your own space, peace and quiet while doing exercise. That room is the main reason I signed up along with the kids club. I signed up just yesterday only to find out the room is busy every single day and especially during kids club hours!! I wish they would give us more time at least an hour or two of time to use the room during kids club hours. Really frustrating!

The different amenities and non-judgemental atmosphere. The only thing I would complain about is having the max $50 plan and not being able to work out with my guest in a Zumba class. I feel this defeats the purpose of having a guest come with me because ideally I want to work out with my guest. We love Zumba and other class workouts but cannot work out together due to limitations of the membership.

En mi opinion me senti muy ofendida porque los manager no te respetan. Te amenazan si algo no te parece de la limpieza oh de el mantenimiento de las maquinas oh que el agua se pone en rojo. Porque yo opine y me cancelaron mi membrecis por 0roblematica. Asi que ellos quieren qur uno no diga sus derechos civiles.. solo te corren y listo. Para seguir siendo inrespondables

I just started going here and so far i enjoy this gym. The customer service is helpful and informative. Ill update this review in a month. If youre looking yo start off right go with the premium membership so far its worth it.

Can you please take a look at certain machines I really don’t want to write a review for every machine's that aren’t working properly , Ive been patiently waiting for them to be fixed for months already or at least be in the process of being fixed , it’s really hard to get a good workout in if they aren’t fixed or working properly , it’s a bit frustrating at times especially since we pay monthly to use them

It's a good place if your happy not using machines or weights. I like the kettlebells. Places is overcrowded and chuze does not care lol even at 4am their packed. The "infrared" sauna is just a red light haha. Shake bar is cheap and convenient enough. If your a real athlete your probably in the trainer room anyways and you can get pretty lucky there. Subscription is cheap but maybe thinking about expanding? Seems like a core gym for the city.

I had tried zumba with Alex, aqua aerobics with Michelle, & yoga with Sara. They are all amazing.
Sauna, steam room, hot tub, and hydromassage are great.
Parking is usually busy, get a few extra steps by parking at the end of the parking lot.
Child care $20 per month per 1st child +$10 for each additional child.
They also sell water, smoothies and protein shakes... Get a free 7 day pass. Which I did first and then I got a membership

Place is OK. Lots of kiddos having fun, it doesn't look like a formal Gym but more like a school in recess.
Coming on Fridays is a big mistake, workers annoying constantly reminding you over the PA that they will close soon

Exelente servicio, las personas que travajan hay son muy amables, siempre que tengo alguna pregunta siempre me atienden muy bien.
las maestras del agua fit ( Michelle/Ellie/ Joseph ) muy buenos maestros. Karen la maestra de zumba que da clase los martes muy linda persona muy profesional me encanta su clase. Heaven Gonzalez muy profesional con su clase. 100% recomendadas

Honestly this place was great but it's too full now. There's never a machine or parking spot for this place. It doesn't help that some machines just seem to be permanently out of order. Also the employees aren't as friendly as they used to be, different people and overworked probably.It's not worth it anymore, I'm just waiting out my contract tbh

Respect the people paying memberships and update your open-close schedules DAILY, some of us go outside our own city to go to Chuze and to not update when you’re closing after commuting more than 20 mins is not okay at ALL. I commuted almost a half hour just for them to shoo me away saying it’s closed when it says both on here AND ON THE APP that it closes at 10pm. I hate companies that aren’t professional. RESPECT THE PEOPLE GIVING YALL MONEY

I don’t see them checking everyone who comes in or not , they just let anybody in , unclean areas and rude staff. Smoothies are great doe. The policy changed hate it and over priced for how overpacked it be. Don’t recommend 🤷🏼‍♀️
