I was looking to re-start my fitness journey and came across Citizens Athletic Club through word of mouth. I am 65+ and had a 5 year gap since Xfit. Injuries were creeping in and setting me back from starting over at Xfit, or enjoying pickleball, and doing everyday tasks; yet, I knew I had to start somewhere. CAC was the right choice for me. The personal training experience with Sarah has been a home run! I am receiving a tailor-made program that fit my abilities and needs and at my pace for improvement. I am grateful that my friend told me about CAC!

Citizen Athletics delivers a most excellent personalized fitness program. In working through an injury and recovering from a surgery, I found myself challenged with adopting a fitness routine that was right for me. I tried some less personalized gyms but I would take one step forward and two steps back as I didn’t understand how to work through my recovery and strength building without setbacks. Sarah has been doing my programming and has been incredibly in tune with where I’m at from my initial assessment and throughout my progress over the last year. While Citizen’s classes have multiple members in attendance, programming is always focused on each individual athlete’s needs, a refreshing and most welcome approach. I was ready to schedule another surgery for one of my injuries when I started and have overcome much of the daily pain and immobility I was suffering, avoiding the need for the procedure. Shaka, Val and Sarah have been instrumental in delivering the personalized fitness program I needed, I’m incredibly grateful to have found them!

After battling a new autoimmune condition and other life changes (including a broken foot), I wanted a structured way to recover my strength and athleticism. Shaka, Sarah, and Val have helped me achieve this and more. If you're looking for a group workout environment with the attention of highly skilled personal trainers, this is your place.

I first worked out with Sarah and Shaka several years ago at their previous gym and found them to be excellent coaches who could train an athlete with the right degrees of difficulty, recovery and intensity. Life brought me to other gyms and other workout routines, but I never found quite the right workout balance I had with Sarah / Shaka. When I had a skiing accident in 2022 and ultimately underwent knee surgery, I knew there was only one person to call to help facilitate a full recovery. I have been working out at Citizen Athletic for almost a year now, and I am in nearly the best shape of my life. After full recovery from my injury, which will be coming soon (hopefully in the next 6 months), I will be in the BEST shape of my life - I feel better mentally, physically, spiritually and in other ways as well. Sarah and Shaka take an extremely well-balanced, safe, and progressive approach to fitness, which is helping me get stronger and will allow me to workout for years to come injury free! If you are looking for a good gym, with a good culture and experience to boot, I encourage you to check it out!

I have been working out at this gym for over 6 months now, and it has been unlike any other gym experience I have ever had, and I have had a lot. At Citizen's, you are treated as the unique person you are, and all your workouts are specifically tailored towards your goals. The workouts are always fresh and never boring. The classes are amazing. They are purposely kept small, so everyone gets the help they deserve. The best part is that it is easy to be consistent, all the coaches are awesome, they provide support and go at your pace, focusing on you. Plus, they preach what they teach and have a huge knowledge of fitness. I recommend checking this place out, especially if you want to get in shape and be consistent.

I have been training at citizen athletic club for one year now and it has been beyond my expectations. My 1:1 coach is Sarah and she truly took the time to learn about my body and my goals. This is not your typical toxic gym place where they push and push everyone to their limit, they encourage you and assist you to be YOUR best. Ever since I started here, no joke, everyone was always raving about how they love this gym and how different it is from all the other gyms they’ve been to and I get it now, the coaches are always there to support you making sure you’re doing everything correctly and giving you feedback.
While there are group classes everyone has variations of the workout to accommodate where they are in their fitness journey. I have never had coaches who truly know your body and care for your individual goals. This gym’s focus is on your functional well being and mobility. I’ve done stretches/exercises that I’ve never done before to improve my posture and strength and I have never seen tremendous achievements.
So if you want to change the way you see fitness this is the place for you.

I like my trainers. They are very professional and watching you constantly to make sure all of your movements are correct. My daughters joined the gym and they like it very much.

Absolutely recommend this place.

Is not your typical "gym" or "fitness center". You truly get the one on one coaching experience and care here. Don't be let down if you walk in and don't see muscles every where .. this is more than a muscle show lol ( not 24 fitness vibes for sure ).
Every single exercise is given according to your personal needs and goals. I'm on a recovery journey and even tho I've only been coming here for 5 months I can say I do see the physical improvement.
The gym is always clean and it doesn't smell like wet mop like many gyms do.
All the equipment is well maintained and organized.
All 3 coaches are awesome. Never once we've felt let down and not taken care while a workout. The one thing I appreciate the most is when they correct me and teach me the right way to do an exercise. They sure are doing their job right 👍🏻.

My wife and I have been members of this gym for 7 months now and I feel that it's exactly what we needed to get back into shape. We started out with personal training to help us get the right fitness level for classes. The prices are reasonable considering the personal attention we received and the ability to track our improvement over time. One of the main reasons we chose this gym over others was the atmosphere. Sarah, Shaka, and Val are extremely supportive. We didn't want to go to a high intensity crossfit gym where we are constantly yelled at. We're encouraged and supported to reach our fitness goals. TL;DR - If you want a personalized fitness experience with fun, chill coaches, then this is the place for you.

I came to Citizen Athletics because I didn't know how to start being fit after years being pretty sedentary. Here I have three coaches who are 100% invested in making sure I am comfortable and set up for success. The diverse workouts are curated for my body's needs and I never get bored! I see small improvements every week in my strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular capacity. Those improvements are adding up to big gains in the quality of my daily life. I strongly recommend this gym. The coaches who really take the time to prepare and create classes that meet individuals.
Sarah really cares about form and technique. She breaks down the movement every workout and will consistently coach me until I get it right. Since joining I’ve been able to do CrossFit moves I wasn’t able to do at previous CrossFit gyms.

I have been training at Citizen Athletic Club for roughly 8 months. I cannot even begin to express how much my training with them has helped me! I honestly was looking for a gym that would actually provide feedback and structure to the workouts. From the very meeting with Shaka the owner you immediately feel motivated and excited about fitness. This gym not only provides amazing feedback and structure but the entire training staff Shaka, Sarah and Val do an absolute amazing job at challenging you to meet your goals. They focus on fitness as a whole from strength, agility, mobility and stamina, they identify areas you can improve on and I can honestly say if you stick to the plan, you will meet those goals and enjoy doing it. This gym truly believes in their members and seeing them succeed, you are constantly encouraged and given feedback as well as the communication with the training staff is very insightful and helpful. Had a great time as a first time guest at Citizen Crossfit. They were welcoming, friendly, and class was great. I attended Olympic weightlifting as well as Yoga. Great experience all around and I will be back! The coach was helpful in giving tips to improve my technique as well. Highly recommend.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I started coming here about 2 months ago. The facility itself is great; huge and clean bathrooms, great equipment, & a nice open area. Andrew knows his stuff & is extremely helpful. He harps safety & proper form to avoid injury. The community is super friendly & they all welcome you with open arms & push you to be the best you can be. I started coming to Citizen CrossFit a few months ago when the owner Andrew took over and named it Citizen CrossFit. My Fiancé then joined soon after. We were hooked, the experience was awesome, lots of motivating people who push you and encourage you. The programming is well written to fit everyone’s needs as an athlete, I have gotten stronger. The gym is always kept clean and tidy with showers available after a long sweaty workout. The coaches are the best and they offer yoga classes!! This place has became my 2nd home. As a young mom, I’m able to bring my daughter and she hangs out while I get fit!! I highly recommend this gym!!!

Crossfit ATR North was my first intro to crossfit. A huge plus to ATR is they give you two, one hour functional introduction classes to learn all the movements and terminolgy you may see during a class. My intro classes ran long as i had a lot of questions and loved the exercises. The instructors are great and you get plenty of one on one during a group event. Dont be afraid to ask questions and dont be afraid to keep going everyday. Would reccomend to people looking to get in shape or reach any goal because of the versitility. The people will help you along the way!
