Equipment is good but they never say what areas are the trainers working so you may get the same class on 2 different days if you pick different trainers. Also if you are going to cancel make sure it’s 30 days before you actually want to stop because the fine print they don’t tell you when they are selling you the membership is in one of the documents that most like me did not read.

Other than that it was a decent experience.

Let me start by saying I really, really, really wanted this to work for our community, for our local mamas and of course for myself. I even gathered feedback from my Facebook-based group "Bonita Mamas" and sent it to the manager Rochelle (and supposedly this same email address reached the owners) last month.

I was a Club Pilates member years ago. I went to three studios, but primarily worked out at Eastlake (now at Otay Ranch). The instructors were amazing-all worked out alongside us doing demos when necessary, helped with adjustments and were our biggest supporters! The music was on point, the studio was roomy and clean, and the vibe was motivating. When I heard that Bonita was getting a Club Pilates I was so excited!

Unfortunately, Club Pilates Bonita has not lived up to the franchise brand and here’s why:

1) I can’t get into classes. I signed up for 8 classes a month for $159 (3 mo trial). While tough to get in and navigate the waitlist, I was able to get my eight classes for the first month. The second month in, I cannot work the waitlist and yes I have tried- opting to go at 6 am and adding as late as 5:45 that same morning to make it happen. That means I am paying $159/mo a steep price to work out and I’m not able to workout because there’s not enough classes and a waitlist of 28-30 people EACH day! One day I had waitlisted a class and was texted by the studio at 11 am that a 6pm spot opened up. I declined as I already started my workday in north county, but asked I not be penalized for declining and was told they would honor “ a one time courtesy”. What? I get less than 7 hours notice to add a waitlist class and I am going to be punished financially? As I request a refund for the month I am unable to attend classes I am met with this feedback from Rochelle the manager “I can offer you a 30-day extension on the credits you’ve already paid for, giving you the advantage for the extra time to use them. Alternatively, if you prefer to end your membership early, the $100 early termination fee would apply.” …So wait. I am paying $159 and not getting into classes (who is btw because 27+ ppl are waiting a day) and I cannot be refunded for services NOT utilized AND I will be charged with terminating early for classes I cannot get into?!? This is otherwise known as a breach of contract, fraud or theft.

3) The instructors. Breanna and Ian are my favorites (they earned the two stars). And the only two I have taken that will challenge me physically. The other classes have not challenged me, and I know that should be happening because I have not used a reformer in many years. Very few offer adjustments or correct to make sure bad habits are not formed in the beginning. Some instructors don't leave the front of the room once classes begin. All wear their own shoes which I find unsanitary, and not on brand with Club Pilates.

3) The music. This is a big one because I personally find music motivating. Their sound system has been having technical difficulties since day 1. It’s either too low, jumpy and spotty because Bluetooth is too far from the base or music is off completely.

4) Franchise owners are not local. They live in Orange County and North San Diego. Unlike Namaste Fitness in Eastlake or N1 on Bonita Road, they are not part of the Bonita Community. The message I have received is: we’re here to make/take your money and you’re just another membership.

Thanks for reading this review in its entirety. Hopefully it helps others from frustration and hard-earned money lost. I had high hopes for this new addition to our community and have been sorely disappointed.

I was out of the Pilates scene for many years. I started back up at Club Pilates Bonita. The studio is always clean, welcoming, and well-organized. Every instructor I’ve taken is helpful with showing you the correct form and are very encouraging. The classes are upbeat and I appreciate how each instructor brings their own style while keeping every session safe and effective. I feel my core getting stronger! I highly recommend this studio!

I am loving CPB!! I just hit my 21st class today. This was my first experience with reformer pilates and I'm learning something new every time I attend a class. I'm already feeling stronger, and a little slimmer too 😆. As someone who doesn't enjoy working out, I look forward to coming in each time! Wonderful staff and instructors!

As a first-timer, I was a bit nervous walking in, but the experience has been nothing short of amazing. The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly make each class enjoyable and effective. The front desk gals are incredibly attentive and responsive. They made me feel welcomed and supported from day one. Special shoutout to the manager, Rochelle, who went out of her way to address my concerns and ensure I had a smooth start. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out. Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking to start or continue their Pilates journey!

I am so thankful I joined Club Pilates Bonita! I know there are other options in the area but I chose this one,

From the meet and greet back in May, the vibe was great! I met the owners Tine and Beth, and was excited to hear Rochelle was the General Studio Manager. That trio is on point!

Rochelle in particular has been the best! She is warm, welcoming and professional. She has always timely addressed my questions and concerns. She has a great attitude and her positive energy is contagious.

I haven’t taken classes from all the instructors yet, but the ones I have taken classes with were awesome! All were very helpful and happily answered my questions before, during and after class.

I would highly recommend Club Pilates Bonita.

Discriminatory and disrespectful staff would not recommend.
It’s clear the owner is in over her head. The environment feels unorganized and unprofessional, and many members’ concerns go unanswered. There’s a lack of accountability that reflects poor management and a disregard for equity and respect.

I really wanted to find a place where I could try something new and be encouraged to push myself. I’ve never been very flexible, and I’m already amazed by how much I’ve improved in both flexibility and strength. The studio is so cute and clean, and the instructors—like JayP, Breanna, and Ian—make it incredibly welcoming. I truly love coming to class!

The studio is beautiful, and the instructors are very caring. But there are not enough classes to accommodate the number of members that have signed up. I’ve been in position 1 on the waiting list, and not gotten in. The waiting list is very hit-or-miss. The manager suggested that I show up, and see if there is a last minute cancellation. I am leery of leaving my workouts to chance.

They offer a 3- month trial membership, which is great. The problem is that it gives you 8 credits per month, and you lose them even if you couldn’t get into a class. I started an email exchange with the manager to discuss whether or not I will continue with the trial membership. Payment is due tomorrow, but the manager stopped replying to my emails yesterday morning. While I understand this is a new business, they need to stay on top of emails. I also called twice today, left a message and hope to get a callback.

This tiny studio over-sold memberships. They have very limited classes that are always over-booked with long waiting lists for weeks- you have to be on never-ending waitlists, possibly not get into a class (messing up your workout routine), then stress because you lose your class credits if you don’t use them by the end of the month! On top of that, their app continuously has technical problems. I do not recommend this studio AT ALL.
