I joined years ago and loved the instructors.

Then, rejoined and those wonderful instructors had left the studio and Club Pilares. The new instructors added some workout moves that did not reflect Joseph Pilates (Creator of Pilates) movements for real toning and safety to joints. It also had a different attitude then the first time I had been a member.

I left and will continue to follow Mari Winsor Pilates online or other which is what I was doing prior that worked so well. Mari Winsor has passed but her decades of professional pilates instruction lives on! Very powerful workouts and much nicer instructor! (Ha!)

I am a 76 year old woman who never went to Pilates before joining Club Pilates on the advice of my orthopedist. My knee has arthritis and is painful. From the first intro class to the present time, Nicole and Jane gave me clear and easy to follow instructions. They look out for my injured knee, checking to see my springs are adjusted accordingly and often offer an alternative exercise if needed. They are knowledgeable, caring and it is a joy to be in their classes. Other instructors have been very good also, but they are my favorites. I was a bit concerned about the cost of this program, but realize how well trained the instructors are and believe they are worth it.

I’m really enjoying Club Pilates in Dana Point and look forward to being with a majority of the teachers. Completed 500 classes since Nov 2021! I am challenged every time but can modify if need be. One of my favorites is my friend “M” with her great voice and clear instructions for the flow of the classes. I do have other favorites, go check them all out! What makes a good instructor? A good voice, kindness, good instruction as to what we should be feeling with each series of moves and correction when needed to get the most out of it!

Ive been to several club pilates locations and live in san clemente and I prefer to drive a little further to Dana point because it’s so much better than the San clemente club Pilates. She clearly has a defined plan for each class and due to this we are getting the most we can out of each workout. I had an intro class tonight at Club Pilates in Dana Point, and I’m really excited about taking these classes! I’d like to give a shout out to the instructor, Kelsey, for making it seem easy, and she took my physical weaknesses in consideration (I’m 73 with a total knee replacement, degenerative disc disease, and poor balance.) Still, I got a very good workout. The club is clean, well-equipped, and very well managed. I’m definitely giving it a thumbs up.

I struggle with migraines and the studio is do bright. I really wish I the studio would utilize the blue lights. Laying down eyes up is painful. So instructors dim the lights and that helps. I should just bring my sunglasses but then it’s hard to do some of the moves.

It kills me to give such a low review because when you can actually get into the right class, it’s a phenomenal experience. The problem is that there are too many people at the studio and if you want to come to a morning class, it’s impossible. If you wish to join, and you can come in the middle of the afternoon or you are a beginner that wants one of the low level classes, it’s not a problem. But if you are more advanced, or you desire mornings, you will be very disappointed with class availability. The manager is super nice and kind and encourages the waitlist, but the reality is there are as many people on the most waitlists as there are openings in the class, and the class is already full. They have classes scheduled every single hour all day long with different levels. I don’t even know how they could add more classes, but there is a serious problem because there are just too many people going to this studio. Again, I love it, but I have no choice, but to look elsewhere because I have a busy schedule and if I can never get into classes at an ideal time, then what’s the point of paying for membership? I think the same owner has other locations, but they are all 15 minutes away. I just don’t have the time in my schedule to commute when there are other options nearby. Also, I have the highest membership, which allows me to book in advance, but so many other people do the same. And it doesn’t matter if you can book months in advance when all of the classes are already full months in advance!
