A positive experience at the CP Bankers Hill location EZ parking and studio is clean. Instructor Nathalie is personable, friendly and knowledgeable. The use of hand straps while performing clamshells is a great workout on the glutes. Nathalie gave options, continuously checked form and by calling our names she provides encouragement.

Just moved away and currently trying new gyms in my new town and ran back here to rave about this place because of how much nothing compares. M-F: Cheri, Alexandra, Nathalie, Alyson, Alexandra - all amazing in their own ways. The moves make sense, the flow is great, youβll feel better, and be stronger. I wanted to share my experience at Club Pilates - Bankers Hill. I recently started taking private lessons with Amanda. It is the best thing I have done for myself in years and I could not be more impressed with both the studio and especially Amanda. I tried another club right before this and walked away with a bad taste in my mouth. After trying this studio it exceeded all expectations. And Amanda is one of the best professionals I have ever had. She comes prepared with notes, an incredible depth of knowledge on all things pilates and is so friendly and warm. I would recommend this studio to anyone especially friends and family. I could not be happier.

I've been totally sold on this place to study movement. I want to try it so much I think I've reserved for the beginner class a half dozen times. My disability has obstructed me every time. I hope they'll consent to let me try again. Pilates makes a lot of sense, especially after a certain age. My personal daily practice is called Progong. It differs from Pilates because no table or equipment is required. But I have seen the cables and I do recommend them. I still aspire, Madison. I'm coming around the 6th,

I enjoy going to this Club Pilates location, and Alexandria Hutchinson is a phenomenal instructor who conducts classes on weekdays. She's very professional, responsible and competent.
HOWEVER, I contacted the club after becoming very ill after a class I took on Sunday. The class was led by an instructor who was obviously very ill. She coughed constantly (loudly and strongly) throughout the entire class. I worked in my studio prior to and after the class and was not exposed to anyone else during that period. On Monday I had a slight sore throat, and by Tuesday I was very ill with severe flu-like symptoms. Today it required a trip to Urgent Care, where a COVID test showed negative, but another, more precise test is being done to check for several types of influenza or a new COVID variant.
I contacted the club alerting them to this. I very politely asked if they would consider giving a class credit if an attendee feels too uncomfortable to stay in a class led by an obviously very sick instructor. I also asked if they could develop a policy by which a sick instructor is substituted by a healthy instructor or the class can be canceled. Radio silence. Not even the courtesy of a reply email.
The irony is that it's a place for wellness goals. One in which each attendee must wipe down any equipment they touched at the end of each class. Yet, the club allowed an instructor with an apparently contagious illness to conduct a class. And a class that has many senior people in it; people who are most susceptible to contagions.
An attendee must cancel at least 24 hours prior to the class or they will be charged for the class. So what's an attendee to do if they arrive for class with a very sick instructor? This seems like an issue that should be addressed, rather than ignored.

I am new to Pilates. This location is very clean and organized. My instructor today sat in the corner giving instruction. I think it would be super helpful to walk around the room and help correct form, especially in the beginner classes where many people are not quite sure if they are doing the move correctly. I look forward to continuing my practice there.

The free intro class was very underwhelming, low energy, no music and not an actual workout-they are only showing you the equipment basics. But they still make you buy βgrip socksβ as a requirement if you donβt have them, which are $26, despite the fact you are never in a position where youβd need them. Then they tell you the pricing and that if you buy that day they will waive the $99 enrollment fee which is on top of the $225 monthly unlimited membership. No thanks, Iβll try another studio.

BH Club Pilates offers an exceptional work out experience in a small (relative to other work out facilities) and spotlessly clean, supportive environment. The instructors are exceptional and with their own styles you get a great variety of full body work outs and as Jessy advises "smile while planking and you're working every muscle in your body". Lots of different classes, super easy to schedule and cancel (withing 12 hours without using a class credit) and with a waiting list if your desired class is full. Having tried a number of different workout experiences and gyms over my 60+ years (many reluctantly as I'm just not a gym person), I can't believe I love this one so much.

I was constantly in pain with back injuries and issues. All the doctors said my only chance for relief was a back fusion, since all the other treatments I'd had did not help. I was dragging myself up the stairs and was in constant pain. A friend suggested Pilates as a last alternative. I signed up with Club Pilates and within three months the pain had all but diminished. I've been going to Club Pilates for at least four years and have reduced the pain dramatically -- most of the time there is none. I have spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, disc degeneration, arthritis and bone density issues in my spine. Proud to say the bone density has improved since Pilates, too. I'm 75 years old and feeling younger and pain free every day.

I love Club Pilates bankers hill! The teachers here are all wonderful, intentional and dedicated. And every once in a while I get to take a class from the owner and she has a great presence, is authentic and genuinely invested in her community.
Doing Pilates regularly is easy with the class schedule at this location. And the classes here always seem to be the remedy to my physical issues, whether I am needing cardio, or a good stretch to help shoulder issues and back issues. CP Bankers hill is my jam!

With them it is not only movement, they get you connected to your body and itβs own unique strengths/challenges. I first visited Club Pilates Bankers Hill in March 2015. I had never tried Pilates before and I was nervous because I am not extremely coordinated. I LOVED IT. The instructors are AWESOME. They all want you to understand what you are doing with your body and why. The classes are small so the instructors have time to walk around and help each client individually. I am an asthmatic and I believe the breathing techniques used in Pilates has helped strengthen my lungs. I have never enjoyed an exercise so much. It is a great work out for my body and meditation for my mind. I have tried other Pilates studios around town but none of them compare to Club Pilates Bankers Hill. The other studios are dirty and have outdated equipment. Club Pilates Bankers Hill is constantly changing and upgrading the equipment and studio. Donβt waste your time or money on any other pilates studio. THIS ONE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!

When I first moved to San Diego I had only tried mat Pilates classes. When I learned about Pilates on the Reformer I was intrigued, so I tried a class at Club Pilates. I fell in love!!!!! Since I began 3 years ago many changes and upgrades have taken place in the Bankers Hill studio. The atmosphere is PERFECT, the instructors are AMAZING, and the way you feel after a class is worth more than words can say! I have been attending Club Pilates for several months now and I love it!! The TRX class is one of my favorites followed by a Stretchilates class. It's a great 2 hour experience. The atmosphere at the studio is very pleasant and all of the teachers focus on what you need and make changes to assist your success. Club Pilates Banker's Hill has been my studio for nearly a year and a half. I have been taking classes 3-4 times a week and it makes all the difference in my low back.The instructors are excellent and there are a wide variety of classes for the beginner up to the seasoned Pilates client. I highly recommend taking the Stretch-a-lates class before or after your regular class. You will feel terrific!

This was my first ever Pilates experience 2 years ago, I lived in Hawaii at the time so I never returned until recently when I moved to San Diego- Pilates has been one of the best things I've found in San Diego so far and definitely the best part of my day! I always leave the studio feeling energized and very SORE. Favorite instructors are Abby and Marie- they are super high energy and provide great feedback and adjustments which is key when you're new to the practice.
