DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. There are so many better Pilates studios in the Bay. I showed up right on time and they still turned me away. Then someone else walked in much later than me and was let straight in. The front desk brushed it off with “oh, she’s an old customer,” which is nothing but a weak excuse. Clear double standards and completely unfair.

The staff at the front desk was cold, unfriendly, and had a long face the entire time. Instead of being welcomed, I was met with indifference and disrespect. As an minority client, I could not ignore how singled out I felt in that moment.

This studio has zero respect for its clients. The way I was treated was discriminatory and humiliating. No one deserves to be treated like this. I will never return, and I strongly urge others to avoid this place.

All they want is your money - very ridiculous policy.
* You have to pay one more month when you want to cancel the membership - Does this ever make sense?
* You won’t get credit back even if it’s simply because there’s no parking.

Try other Pilates studio!

I have been to at least 20 classes in different Club Pilates studios and this one is by far the worst. I arrived 5 minutes early prior to the class and the front desk lady won’t let me in saying I have to arrive 10 minutes early. What??? The class hasn’t started and I was there early enough to set up but she refused to let me in saying they’re independent from club pilates and this is their policy. Ridiculous. Guys if you want to do Club Pilates different check out other locations not this one. The front desk was rude and not making any sense.

I took the 30-minute free intro class and was very impressed with the instructor, Meral. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and made me feel comfortable, especially knowing I have knee pain. She made sure I felt safe and didn’t push beyond my limits — I really appreciated that level of care.

However, I was disappointed with the customer service. Before the class, I received several calls and texts, and in the messages, they mentioned pricing would be discussed after the class — but that didn’t really happen. They gave an overview of the class itself, but not the membership options or pricing unless we asked directly. Important details like the 40% discount for signing up on the same day were also only mentioned after I specifically asked.

Also, unlike some other Club Pilates locations, they did not waive the enrollment fee even though I attended the class in person. Overall, the instruction was great, but the communication and transparency around pricing and offers could definitely be improved.

Disclaimer: complete newbie here! What’s important for me is having an instructor who closely watches your form and gently guides you to correct it, and Yvonne does just that. Her cues are clear and her energy is high. She’s very easy to talk to, and also very tough, but then again, I’m not coming here for a picnic! Highly recommend this instructor.

I just wish this studio offered a simple 10-pack of sessions with no long-term commitment. In the meantime, I’ll be going to a different location that offers more flexible options, but I’ll definitely be back for Yvonne’s classes whenever I can!

Try to avoid it especially you only have time to come during weekends. The policies are ridiculous.
Parking is terrible, you will be responsible for any parking issue. If you miss it due to parking, you lose it. They won’t let you in or give you credit back. The front desk says the parking issue is expected, then how earlier should I come?
You can’t cancel it if you are on the waitlist and added in 12 hours.
You can only have one time excuse per year for the late cancellation. I often got sick more than once per year. Not to mention other emergency.
Luckily, this is my last class here. Don’t want to waste more money!

I have been taking almost 500 classes,I really wanted to like this Pilates studio, but the experience has been pretty frustrating. The waitlist is ridiculously long, and if you do manage to get off it within 12 hours of the class, good luck trying to cancel—you basically have no time. I once called the front desk to let them know there was no parking available (which is always an issue here), and they told me they wouldn’t charge me. Spoiler: they charged me anyway.

Booking classes is a nightmare. It’s almost impossible to get a spot unless you plan way ahead, and even then, it’s not guaranteed. I also bought private sessions under the clear impression they wouldn’t expire (because that’s what I was told!), but they did anyway. And let’s not even talk about how insanely expensive those private sessions are.

Honestly, between the parking hassle, the scheduling chaos, and the poor communication, this studio has become more stress than it’s worth.

The front desk asked the instructor if an exception could be made for not wearing grip socks. The instructor at the 4:30 session responded with, “It’s just $16,” while making faces. I don't have to spend money on things I have. It’s their corporate required policy, which I understand—but just stating the facts, the instructor is hella rude.

DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE. Go to Transform, Solidcore... any other pilates studio. I've done pilates/barre for more than a decade, and my experience with Club Pilates' front desk was by far the worst. I don't know who is working the front desk Friday afternoon shift, but she was extremely cold/indifferent, rude, and completely unhelpful. I walked in as a first-timer and was greeted with the most unwelcoming and rude customer service ever.

Studio doesn't offer rental socks, hair ties, anything. Since I didn't bring grippy socks (my fault), I asked to be rebooked because I did it through ClassPass and didn't want to incur a late fee. The girl played dumb and was like "you don't have credits" but when I asked if there was a first class free or trial she said no. I'm now seeing Club Pilates one does offer a free first class/trial on the website, so I don't know if she was just uninformed, unprofessional, or trying to mess with me.

I will be telling all my friends not to come here when there are way better studios around the Bay. Workout studios are supposed to support your physical and mental peace... this was the opposite.

It's coming up on almost 2 years since I joined the unlimited membership. Most teachers are just wonderful! My favorite instructor has to be Trupti. I was new to pilates and had some years of yoga experience, and beginner's classes were too easy for me. Trupti quickly recognized this and guided me through, allowing me to progress more rapidly. She didn't judge my qualification only based on the number of classes I took. Trupti challenges and encourages students of all levels. Till this day, I still feel equally challenged in both the beginning classes and the advanced classes. I also really like her music selections. Going to pilates classes becomes a part of my morning routine now. It gives me energy throughout the day and makes me feel good!

As an unlimited member, I’ve been enjoying the classes and all but one of the instructors have been very kind and helpful. There is however one instructor that has been making me feel uncomfortable lately and often puts me on the spot, making me feel anxious. Unfortunately, a few of the classes that align with my schedule are taught by this instructor. As an unlimited member, the point of paying the higher amount is that I’m able to workout as often as I’d like, so if I’m missing out on the only available classes that work for me because I’m worried about the instructor, then I might as well cancel my membership and practice somewhere else, right? Well, I’d rather not, because this location and everything else about it is a great fit for me. I don’t feel comfortable speaking to the instructor directly. I want to speak to management about it but don’t know who to reach out to. I’m posting this from my partner’s account for my own confidentiality, and can provide further details if I’m able to speak to a studio manager to resolve this.

I was the member a few months ago. I enjoy the class, however, the class is pretty full so I always need to book 1-2 weeks ahead, if I cannot attend the class I’ll be charge $15 if it’s not cancelled 24 hours ago. Another policy that I’m not happy with is that both join and cancel the membership need additional charge, like $100 for each which totally not make sense.

Source: Google

★ 3

This is my last day of my membership and I have to say in a way I am relieved.

Let’s start with the good:
- the instructors are knowledgeable and correct your form. You can get a good workout here
- reformer pilates is a low impact, healthy workout to include in your routine. This location is a good place to start if you’re interested. I actually got 2 of my friends to join here
- customer service is good imo, the front desk is really nice and even when quitting and stating my reason is due to scarce classes, they asked me if I’d like to request for more class openings. That was a nice gesture

As for the not so good:
- I noticed that some of the instructors can give a bit of attitude. I don’t want to read into it too much but it makes the remainder of the class for me feel really uncomfortable. To give some context: I’ve joined Orange Theory and Lagree 415 in SF and have never felt like this about any of their instructors. Examples: one instructor correcting my form but before correcting asking “is there something wrong w your leg or something?” with a dry expression on her face. Another instructor announced on the mic that we should be trying to find empty stations before gravitating towards the end of the room (fair request) but then me getting called out individually on the mic in front of the whole class because I didn’t do so, and apparently I missed the instructor asking me to do that (she announced: “remember when I told you that? Remember?) and it was really awkward for me because I didn’t know what she was talking about, and I must have missed her gesture to go to the empty machine? Which I am apologetic for but I thought the station was taken because there was a resistance band on it. This also happens to be one of the best teachers here— guaranteed a great workout— and probably some people can brush this off, but I’m sensitive 😅 Also, a few days ago two instructors were chatting that it was annoying to walk back and forth from the front to the end of the room. I totally understand this and would like to offer a suggestion: Club Pilates should assign people stations before the class starts or through the app. This is what Orange Theory does and it works really well! I don’t mind doing things to make my instructors life easier, but if I’m not aware of these secret pet peeves, I won’t be able to help
- the class difficulty for level 1.5 is inconsistent depending on which instructor is teaching
- the classes are scarce. I don’t know how people with jobs that aren’t WFH make it to these classes. To make matters worse I tend to avoid some instructors due to the two above listed reasons and it really makes it hard to find any class openings to even make the 4 class a month package worth it

The instructor is great! Especially Bella I loved her style for teaching. However, their front desk and policy are such a headache. They are very stubborn about their policy. They offered a package which is a 3 months membership with first month 20% off unlimited and the following 2 months 8 classes per month with original price. I asked whether I can do first month 20% off with unlimited and the following two months with personal training. (I will still pay for the personal training’s price). The other Club Pilates( Campbell) has no problem with this and even offered more promotions. But club Pilates west San Jose said they need to honor their policy. ??? I am surprised by their stubbornness. Anyway I recommend you to look at Club Pilates Campbell which is not far away from this site.

Face mask is mandatory here - my original review.
Follow up review - Well, couple of days after my 1 star review, I got a phone call from the studio management who explained that it was miscommunication that the front desk person was kinda new and wasn’t clear about the studio policy, which is “mask highly recommended” instead of “mandatory”. The studio owner was being professional and considerate and explained their policies in detail (which I appreciated).
Anyways, even I had a one-time bad experience with the studio, I would still recommend club Pilates to anyone who’s interested. The instructors are awesome. Per the studio management, Face mask is currently not mandatory at this studio.

All the instructors are really good, but the schedule is the worse. If you are working full time and has kids and available for classes only on evening you will find out that all evening classes are level 1 or some balance and stretching. (Which is nice but not enough)
There is only one 1.5 level class at evening which is always full and has long waitlist.
I tried to talk with the managers but I guess it’s hard to make them realize that some people are really working and available only at evenings.

I have been here for about 3 months now and I want to share my experience with everyone. Overall I really like it! I always wanted to find a workout that is right for ME. Before, I tried a few big gyms small gyms in the area, doing cardio and machines, I even worked out at home with those YouTube and instagram videos. But it was so boring, even with a tv in front of me, and I didn't see much results (yeah, I probably rested too long between my moves but when you are working out alone it's hard!). I'm glad I found Club Pilates. I started from 8 classes a month for the first 2 months and now I get unlimited classes per month. They have several types of class (reformer flow, cardio etc) in different levels (1, 1.5, 2, as the number goes up it gets more challenging). Me personally, like the reformer flow class the best and the teacher would add different variations of moves to get different muscles trained each time so it's never the same class. It's a low impact workout that is good for joints but I do sweat a lot! The studio is pretty clean. What I want to mention the most is the teachers here. Some of the teachers (to be fair,I've only take classes from several teachers here) are very dedicated. When they are teaching, you can feel that passion. As I observed, so far none of them started the class late and they would usually stay a little bit longer after the class to answer questions from students. During the class, they would often come over check with students see if they feel okay and help students correct moves. I remember in my fist class there, I got a lot of attentions from the teacher since I was new and the teacher wanted to make sure I did everything in a right and comfortable way. I just feel they really care about students, not just simply let you follow those moves then turn around and leave. The owner is very friendly too. Overall I feel this place is not one of those gyms that only want to pull money out of your pocket and doesn't give a damn about how you feel. Before I joined, I always had a concern, which was the parking there. But so far it hasn't been a problem. Every time when I come I can always find spot to park, especially in late morning there are a lot empty spots. Overall I just feel every time when I come here I can take a break from my daily work and life, focus on myself, just concentrate on my body and be healthy. I try to consistently come here at least three times a week now. My calf is definitely thinner LOL, that's an added bonus!
