This place is dishonest with respect to their membership and cancellation policy.
We got scammed as the person at the counter initially told us we could purchase 4 classes and cancel after a month - but when we wanted to cancel, they made it extraordinarily difficult.
I had to call up my credit card company and ask for a charge back. I also had to block this merchant from being able to charge my card.
Please beware of these practices while deciding to buy a membership if you’re unsure about whether you want to do Pilates.
Edit: After canceling the membership, they tried to extort us by sending messages saying we owe 400$ after a couple of months after we canceled the membership.

I love this studio! The instructors are excellent, and the staff is welcoming and supportive. They just helped me when I had an issue, and I was impressed by their excellent customer service. Free and plentiful parking across the street, lovely studio, and many classes to chose from. I heart Santa Clara Club Pilates!

I love Club Pilates Santa Clara. I go here 4-5 times a week for a 9 months now.
They have great atmosphere at the front desk, instructors are professional and inclusive and always up for a personal advice, place is clean and beautiful location.
My favorite instructors: Jazmine and Rea will have you work hard and effectively on 1.0, Katy has effective and fun workouts, Marissa and Olivera great for trying higher levels and have lots interesting exercises.
You do have to plan on arriving few minutes earlier to find a parking spot especially around lunch time.

Marissa is the best. I think she is the reason I don’t miss Diana every minute in the class :) Marissa is very structured and provides detail instructions so your body moves in a flow rather than feeling stuck! Thank you!

**Worst Pilates studio ever – absolute nightmare!**
This place has the most appalling customer service I’ve ever experienced. They completely take customers for granted and hide behind their rigid “policies” instead of showing even the slightest bit of consideration for people’s real-life situations. Try moving or rescheduling a class? Forget it – they’ll make it an ordeal.
The classes themselves are a joke. Same boring, repetitive routine for over a year, nothing fresh, nothing inspiring. For the price they charge, it’s an insult. The front desk is a group of unprofessional staff who clearly don’t care about customer experience. And yet, half the classes are empty – which tells you everything you need to know.
Honestly, this chain is nothing but a money grab. They don’t care about their members, only about squeezing dollars. I’ve canceled my membership immediately – not another cent from me.
Santa Clara Square deserves a quality, professional Pilates studio – not this pathetic excuse of a business wasting valuable space in the community. **Stay FAR away – your time, money, and sanity are worth so much more.**

I’m extremely satisfied! I had been thinking about starting for a long time but hadn’t been able to come. The class with Marissa was amazing, she was so helpful. Her warm welcome at the front desk really eased my nerves. I’m definitely planning to continue!

Ok so let me tell you why I would never recommend this studio or any Club Pilates... I originally booked with Club Pilates Willow Glen. It started out nice as it should. The staff reached out to discuss my goals, we set a scheduled session blah, blah and then the session day arrives. I arrive early as requested. I check in. The front desk attendant then asks if I have my "grippy spocks" ... i am thinking no because I was not aware that I had to have "grippy socks" as some studios allow the option of going bare foot and through all the back and forth communication the staff never informed me that it was mandatory... no big deal. I can purchase some right? Sure but they dont take Google or Apple pay and I dont have a full on wallet as I have arrived to work out! As I tell the front desk that I was unaware and perhaps it be best just to reschedule as the class at this point was about to begin, the instructor walks over and says very snobbish " im about to start class, I need you to be quite""... ughhhhh im taken back. At this point I decided to leave. I didn't press the issue. I just left it alone.
Which brought me to Santa Claras studio.. I was super excited I expressed my concerns and they seemed understanding. So I book my session with them. They are only available for the intro class on Mondays and I am an ER nurse so I book 2 weeks out and can't wait to get started 😀.. im telling all my coworkers, trying to get them to join me on this miss! Ladies were nice enough, seemed promising. Until yesterday....
I received a text around 11:45 am saying I had to confirm my reservation that same day by 7pm or they were going to cancel it. Mind you ... Im working and didn't see thst text till about 4 this morning. Too tired to early to respond plus I missed my window didn't I. So they canceled my reservation that I booked 2 weeks in advance for 8/4 for allegedly people on their waitlist.
Now maybe I am overreacting but that seems extremely unfair. They stated that they needed to give people on their waitlist adequate notice... 4 days notice? What about my efforts to arrange 2 weeks prior. I get a 6-7 hour notice of cancelation for not confirming?? I dont know but it seems backwards and then they dismissed me when I brought up my concerns and then tried to back track once I asked to speak to a manager. Its not the staff and I am not trying to imply that with this studio. Its more lack of consideration, communication, and accommodation for clients. There is a great Pilates studio in Santa Row.. I would start there if your new to Pilates and have a crazy schedule like me and want to feel like a valued client.
I save lives. I dont have time for these shenanigans!

I had booked a free intro class at Club Pilates nearly two weeks in advance and received a follow-up call from someone at the studio. During that call, I brought up the concerning Google reviews mentioning that classes are often full and memberships feel hard to justify. The staff member assured me that I’d have access to classes once I signed up, that unused credits could roll over, and that although waitlists are common, people typically cancel a few days prior. That felt reassuring.
However, this morning—still nearly two weeks out from my scheduled class—I received another call while driving to work. This time, there was another staff member who asked me to immediately complete a waiver form. I let her know that I still had plenty of time before the class, so I would fill it out later when I am free. Her response: “Then we’ll have to kick you out of the class”—which was not only unnecessarily harsh but also disrespectful. I reiterated that I’d fill it out before the class, but her tone and insistence made me feel unwelcome and rushed.
Unfortunately, this interaction confirmed many of the negative reviews I had previously read. It seems like this location is always full and prioritizes profit over respectful communication. I prefer to engage with businesses that value people and relationships—not pressure and scarcity tactics.
TL;DR: The Google reviews were right. Trust them.

I am currently taking private classes at Club Pilates after hip replacement surgery. I joined the club to gain core strength, have a better posture, improve my balance, and get all the muscles of my left leg stronger.
I got an excellent instructor; Diana Broker has been helping me to achieve all my objectives and more. Her expertise allows her to personalize my classes according to my needs. She pays very close attention to my posture, and encourages me to reach my full potential. The results so far are great, I have noticed improvements in my core strength, posture, balance, and overall physical fitness.
The studio in Santa Clara is great and has all the needed to do all type of exercises. If you want to start feeling stronger, more flexible, and happier, I
encourage you to give it a try, you won't regret it.

I was extremely frustrated with them this morning. There were heavy road works on San Tomas and Scott this morning and every lane was closed. I called in around 9:58am to let front desk know about my situation and entered their studio when it just turned from 10:05am to 10:06am. The front desk lady was talking to another lady who is a prospective client, and when she saw the time it was 10:06am. I was told that I cannot be in the class and I have to pay the no show penalty! I argued with the front desk lady for 15 minutes and was kept being told that it was their policy and there was nothing she could do. It was such a frustrating situation and experience! They don’t have any empathy for their long term loyal client!! So I decided to pause my membership with them.

I absolutely love Club Pilates, i’ve been going since they opened in September and secured my founding membership. The staff has been very kind and helpful to me. Karla, the manager, is super sweet and always greets me with a smile.
Club pilates is my second home and I love the instructors. Once I found my favorites I book in advance about 2 weeks out. I’ve never had issues with booking early morning classes and if you have unlimited membership you can go to some other locations in the area like Sunnyvale or North SJ. I love the flexibility.
I’ve had a hard time keeping a consistent workout schedule but with club pilates I look forward to going at least 4 times a week.

One star is gorgeous. Should’ve read the reviews before coming.
Club Pilates is a joke when it comes to customer service, and Karla just proves it. I showed up 7 minutes late after literally leaving work halfway through the day to make it, and she refused to let me in. No flexibility, no empathy, just a smug attitude like she enjoys turning people away.
The classes are nearly impossible to book and cost a fortune, and yet they act like you’re the problem if life delays you for a few minutes. Karla was rude, dismissive, and downright unpleasant.
If Club Pilates wants to run like a boot camp, fine—but don’t pretend to care about members’ wellness when your staff acts like robotic gatekeepers with zero compassion.
Avoid this place unless you enjoy overpriced stress and dealing with Karens in uniform.

Very difficult to book a class and they cancel classes with very short notice, so it makes it very difficult to use all of your credits before they expire. The wait list is the hope, but it doesn't move for weeks or enough to get in a class most of the time. The credits renew every month, but, if lucky, you will only be able to book classes 4 weeks out, so you have to have big gaps between classes and then stack most of your credits by the end of your term. Very limited number of classes during evening time or weekends, witch is ridiculos, because people are off on those times.
It's a total mismanagement! We droped our membership from Sunnyvale thinking Santa Clara would be better, but it's even worse.

Arrived 6 minutes past the starting time and they refused to let me in. Sometimes I wish CP can be a little flexible as it’s so hard for ppl to book a class when all the available ones nearby are always full and the only way to book a class is during the unpopular time which is during normal working hours.
I hope they either add more slots or extend the late policy.
It’s difficult to get out of work midday so if they can extend the late policy to 10 minutes ppl can prob make their hundreds of dollar more worth it. Be ready to waste your money if you have work/kids/anything else going on in your life.

I’m a full-time working mom and the class times that I could even potentially go to (early evening and late at night) were not available. I haven’t been able to schedule for a class since January but this club is going to be charging me through April. There are probably more customer friendly studios.

I love the studio and the instructors - very awesome group. However I am leaving due to unavailability issues. I pay for 8 classes a month, but can only book around 5. It seems like they are over selling memberships. Another thing I don’t care for is that if you don’t use your class credits, you lose them. But if the classes are booked and/or do not work for your schedule, it’s sort of like an “oh well”. So for me, it’s a waste of money. I am going to try Solid Core - they have a wide range of class options and it seems like more of an intense workout, which I like.

I'm not sure why people say they can never get a class, pretty much every Sat and Sunday I'm on the wait-list like #5,6 and so on and just about every Sat and Sunday I end up getting in. I think there's about 2 or 3 classes a month that I'm on the wait-list that I can't get in. If you can only make one time slot a week, that can be understandable if everyone else can only make that one time slot so you have to be somewhat flexible. Also there's often empty reformers so should be spots available. Also, I've been going since they've opened and never have been sold on anything out front at all and staff hasn't been anything but kind and respectful. Also, I see people coming in late often, but if you have been turned away, it's probably by only one instructor and it is disruptive so give yourself extra time to get there... simple. And I've enjoyed just about every instructor except one is just ok but I still get a good workout. I do recommend this Pilates gym

Location is great and fortunately I do have the unlimited plan. Classes do fill up quickly and booked out a couple of weeks. So far I have had 4 different instructors and had great and some lack luster experiences. I also visit another location so know that instructors do vary but two instructors at this location have been my least favorite. They lack enthusiasm (monotone/ very militant) and sometimes difficult to understand the movements to shift to. Love Pilates but recommend trying out other locations for better experience.

The location is great. the studio itself is brand new and nice. Some instructors are better than others but none of them really pay attention to your form.
The biggest issue is that they have enrolled too many members for the classes they offered. Most classes are wait-listed for weeks. It's almost impossible to book a time slot that works well for you. If you have purchased a 4- or 8-pass/month, it's almost certain some of the passes will go to waste since you won't be able to book all the classes within that one month period. I'm going to cancel my membership as I can never book the early morning or late afternoon time slots.
Update 12/9/24:
If I could give 0 star, I would.
This is the biggest scam of all gym memberships. The club is all about making money. They always encourage you to cancel in advance so they can call waitlist people up 15 mins before class to maximize their profit.
I cancelled my membership because I was never able to book the time slots that work best for me. Even though I was able to get into ANY available class (and that is with other locations you are allowed to book), it's still a struggle to use up my monthly passes (and I only enrolled for the 4-pk/month).
I couldn't wait to get out of there and not deal with their BS. But there we go, on the last day before I say goodbye forever - with the scarce availability, I booked my last class on the last day of the package. The app allowed me to book till this last day and nothing further. When I checked in to the class, my name was not there. They cancelled my booking because I have cancelled my membership. Somehow their app showed this was the last day of classes I have access to and I was able to book it. In reality, I was not allowed to go to the class. They simply cancelled my booking without notification.
So, darn, I thought I escaped from being scammed but fell victim right before my exit.
Ladies, there are much better gyms out there where they take their clients seriously. Between Santa Clara, N. San Jose and Sunnyvale Club Pilates locations, I only met ONE decent instructor who truly cares. The rest are basically there to give verbal instructions and nothing else. Other Pilates studios have much better instructors who are more experienced and you get a better workout.
If you want to sign up just because the cost is seemingly lower, think again. You will probably end up paying much more/class and get a mediocre workout. Not to mention all the hoops you have to jump through to sign up for classes. Don't fall for the scam.

Apparently they don’t care about clients. I woke up with the cold and had a class this day. Called to cancel as it’s not smth I could have planned. What I got from a front desk is that the credit is still gonna be used and that they don’t care if they loose a client. I ask so that means I should come in with a cold and they replies that it’s totally up to me. Great! Not coming back to this studio. And the same issue with booking, nothing is available

I would avoid this place by all means. Booked an intro class today at 11, I got there by 11 shown on my phone, while their clock shows 11:01. They turned me away immediately because I missed by less than a minute. The front desk lady didn't even say sorry, very rude.

There are waitlists as others have mentioned that are prioritized. They cold call and don’t have updated lists as I had signed up for 2 weeks and was still getting the “can I answer any questions and do you want to take an intro class” calls. Heavy sell on sign up after the intro, but do yourself a favor and go next door to Core Power Yoga. Great staff, tons of classes and no hard sells over there. Maybe this location will get its act together but first experience was pretty poor. Why pay when you cant get a class?

I understand the frustration with limited class availability, especially for new members. However, with an unlimited membership, I've been able to attend 3-4 classes per week and have secured spots through mid-November. I highly recommend Ms. Jazmine's classes. Too many people on waitlist for weeks. When I called the front desk, they said that they prioritize unlimited membership holders than the 8-class per month members for the class bookings! How ridiculous - and what a discrimination! had to drop my membership at this club. They are not willing to take any action for this mismanagement. They should not over promote their club if they’re not able to meet the demand.

Was so excited a studio was opening nearby. I was able to snag a discounted membership as a founding member, it’s still pricy with the discount but I thought since it’s close by I can go several times a week and get my $ worth.
I’m so disappointed that I have only been able to get into 2 sessions since the studio opened. I’m constantly waitlisted.
I know they were getting instructors trained thus they may not have had as many time slots in September. Not having better odds in October thus far. Will give it another month but may drop down to lower class tier thereafter or drop completely as why should I pay for monthly membership if I am not able to use it!!!
Bummer as I really enjoy the classes I did take. My feedback is to stop selling new memberships so that the existing members have better access. Or add more classes please. Even better if founding members have priority to book in the app and then open to all others.

You won’t be able to attend classes, the waitlist goes on for weeks so not even worth purchasing credits. I feel like they count on missed credits for revenue, or else why keep enrolling new people if classes are booked out for months?
If you know an alternative club, please let me know.
