I was traveling to Simi Valley for the holiday to be with family and was looking forward to getting my usual exercise routine in while there.

I arrived early to the first class of the day to give myself time to set up and acclimated to the studio. The instructor was not there, the doors were locked and she did not arrive until 11 minutes, or so, after the start time of the class time. When she arrived, she did not say hello, she did not say she was sorry to be late, she just unlocked the doors and people started walking in. She did not ask about injuries nor offered to set anyone up if they were new to the studio. As an avid pilates equipment user and someone who has taken classes all over the country I was VERY turned off and disappointed with this facility and teacher. Yes, I am familiar with the equipment and cuing but every machine and studio is slightly different. Several other class patrons shared with me that this was "typical" behavior of this instructor and club location. I was hoping my family member, who is local, would come with me to try out this exercise method I have been raving about for 20+ years, however after my experience I was glad they did not come.

I ended up getting sick during my trip and cancelled the second class I was scheduled to take. I cancelled online and then followed up with a phone call, prior to the 24 hour mark, to make sure my request was received. At that time I was informed I would not be getting a refund for my VERY expensive $59 class, even though I was well within the 12 hour cancellation time. The person who answered the phone then put me on hold and when they returned to the phone they told me they would pass the message on and determine what could be done with my money/refund. It is now a week later and I have not heard back from anyone. I am incredibly disappointed and will never take another class from this Club Pilates or another Club Pilates owned by this franchisee in SoCal.

I absolutely loved this place. The first day I went. The energy was amazing. The instructor was energetic exciting but once I got started with classes unless you get the right instructor, you’re kind of just in a robotic way to no personality to no energy in the voice, to no volume in voice, little to no correction with poor body move. people are able to get monthly memberships and then they can book out the whole place as much as they want which leaves Lil to no slots available to the person that’s paying for eight classes or four. availability is usually 6:30 in the morning or at 8 o’clock at night not Conducive to being a parent they should’ve let us know this during enrollment or intro anyways my 90 days is up because I got locked in 90 days couldn’t couldn’t do two months had to do 90 days. My 90 days is coming to an end. I asked to cancel my membership and they pursuit to tell me that I’ll need to pay for one more month , what the heck what do you mean? I have to pay one more month $240 nobody ever mention this during orientation and when I look up their policy online, this isnt in their policy. I opened up the brochure I was given on the day I started it’s not in there either so be careful ladies and gentlemen because if you leave the studio, they’re gonna try to get more money from you one way or another , when speaking to the people about it and telling them I could not afford them to take money from my bank they did not seem to care at all. I’m really disappointed. I really think it’s kind of a scam. You do the same workout every single day, it’s the same things , same robot showing up to teach it. This is a place for women to embrace their selves and to get comfortable with fitness and to try and to get excited about loving our body higher people can bring energy to your. .

I tried a class in simi valley, instructor was on point and very friendly. Carla and the manager were so polite and helpful, studio is so clean!!! 100% recommend

Ownership is very cheap and they always charge you even if you cancel ahead. They don’t take care of the place with lack of air conditioning. The instructors never stay. Everyone seems unhappy. Do not waste your money.

Signed up for their unlimited membership. Don’t think it’s worth the price all the classes are technically the same routine we do the same things in class everyday. No variations in workouts at all the teachers just repeat the classes for months. I used to do back to back 1.5 then 1 right after and since the teacher was the same I would just have a “repeat” of the previous class. I tried their sculpt as cardio classes and every class was the same. Again no variations, you never learned new movements it was all the same and I feel like the price was not worth it. I really hope they take this review in consideration because they are doing the bare minimum.

New to pilates and wanted to wait a bit before giving my review. Just completed my 8th class and I LOVE IT. It truly is addicting. My favorite instructors are Charise ( she's tough) and Erin ( friendly) . The classes are fun and challenging, studio is maintenaned well and I feel more and more comfortable with each visit. I notice a huge difference in my core muscles, arms and legs so I can only imagine it gets better with time :)

Amazing! Awesome! The instructors are so hands on and helpful. I tend to get Charise and Karin a lot, sometimes Erin. I had never done Pilates before this, but I signed up for the unlimited package each month. I’m on my 13 class and the results are absolutely stunning. It happens very quickly. I see a difference in my stomach, butt, and legs. I’m also seeing it in my arms. The confidence and focus it has brought to my life is beyond what I can describe in words. I love it!

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT – APRIL 2021! Terrible, inefficient, incompetent customer service. I love Pilates, and this small gym is very nice and clean (with some great instructors). But I was told clearly last fall that I could freeze my membership due to the pandemic and could come back when I felt comfortable.

Out of the blue, I was charged for Feb, March, and April! I called three times and sent many emails – no answer! I was finally contacted by the “new management” that took over on April 14th. I was told that this freeze agreement was with the “old management” and that it would not be honored now. Back and forth with emails, I finally got two of the three charges refunded with great effort and time.

I made it clear that I would never return after being treated with such disrespect…essentially being told that the charges were my issue because the agreement was with the “old management”…one month ago! I am shocked and disgusted.

With such a tough year that we have all been through, clients should be treated with kindness and understanding. I really wanted to come back in mid-summer, but I will never return. When I said this, the new owner replied that I was punishing them because of old management. His only offer was, return to the gym and I will refund you the money you were charged (charges that were not authorized!). So that is what this is all about…he doesn’t want me on freeze, he wants me to return so he can continue charging me. Maybe this was the goal all along – charge clients on freeze out of the blue so they will be forced to return in order to receive a refund? Awful!

There are many wonderful small gyms in Simi. Please explore these other options. No one should be treated this way, especially when I have recommended this gym to many others. It is so disappointing (and time-confusing) to have to fight unauthorized charges. Mistakes happen, but to be blamed (and charged) for their mistake is unconscionable.

Love, love, love all the instructors at club Pilates Simi Valley! Susan, Cindy & Charisse are the best. The ladies at the desk are fantastic too. Thank you to Joanne, Alex, Fran, Julie and especially Jahnis. Everyone makes you feel at home and the instructors are very knowledgeable.

This place is great! The staff and instructors are exceptional! Such a great workout (muscles I have never felt before) in just 50 minutes and gentle enough to go everyday! Love this place! Thank you! ❤️
