I had a very disappointing experience at this Pilates studio and will not be returning.
1. Extremely unprofessional front desk. I booked an early morning class through ClassPass and arrived 7 minutes late due to traffic. The front-desk girl refused to let me in, claiming they have a “no entry after 5 minutes” policy. However, this rule was NOT stated anywhere on the ClassPass page. When I said I wasn’t aware of the policy, she showed zero empathy and even questioned whether I was telling the truth, which was incredibly rude and unacceptable.
2. The workout intensity was extremely low. I felt no effect at all—basically the same as not working out.
3. Instructor was not engaged. There was almost no guidance or corrections throughout the class, which made the session feel careless and unprofessional.
Overall, both the service attitude and the class quality were disappointing. I would not recommend this studio.

Great studio with a safe, supportive, and body-positive environment. Olivera takes the time to help everyone, with a kind smile, and lots of patience for newcomers like me. The classes focus on breathing, posture and proper technique. I love the balance of challenge and relaxation, and the small group setting allows for personal attention. I left feeling refreshed, energized, and more connected to my body. I love this place!

Went to the class with the expectation of buying grip socks, but they did not have Apple Pay so they did not allow me to go to the class !! One of the girls was nice enough about it and the other was 🤨 anyways just a warning to bring card or cash otherwise you’re going to waste your time and money and expect to pay $20 for a grip socks lol

I absolutely love Tania! I have been doing Pilates for 3 years now and Tania was my first teacher. I always try to get into her class. Unfortunately, she took on more of a management role but does teach one day a week and fills in when needed. Tania is one of my favorite teachers!

Yesterday I took Samira’s Pilates class. She was very nice, but honestly after the class I didn’t feel like I had worked out at all. Compared to other 1.0 level classes, I felt hers didn’t quite give me the workout effect I was expecting 😂 Parking is easy, but there’s some construction two blocks away, so it’s better to arrive a bit early.

Samira is great. She’s newer to the Sunnyvale location. I try to take any class she is teaching. She likes to challenge you without making it too difficult. She speaks in a kind voice and encourages you to push yourself to do your best. I love her approach . Pilates is not easy and if the instructor is harsh discouraging you will give up. But I don’t feel like that with Samira at all. She also teaches at the Santa Clara location.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this studio handled my situation. I missed a private Pilates session due to a severe case of COVID and was too ill to manage my schedule. Yet, they refused to credit or refund the session, citing their 12-hour cancellation policy.
In my opinion, their lack of flexibility in the face of a medical emergency shows poor judgment and a lack of customer care. I also found the staff at the Sunnyvale location to be unprofessional and unaccommodating. I would not recommend this studio based on my experience.

the instructors and classes are awesome. Some of reception staff is rude. I arrived 3:36, a min after the 5 min cutoff time , and was my first time being late, but was simply turned down from the class. Also, they are never able to help with any cancellations, even if you call and explain the situation.

I genuinely have gotten so much healthier since joining 6 months ago! Love the instructors and enjoy going here. I usually hated the idea of a pricey gym membership but this has been worth the investment in my health since I actually like going and I'm much stronger and more flexible than when I started.
Update 3/27/25: still going here and I always do my best to take a class with Laura since she's very focused on technique and I love how detailed she is on exactly how she wants you to do the moment. Thanks for helping me on my healing journey!!

This was a very disappointing experience because I tried so hard to make it work and yet it was impossible.
Overall the studio is nice and the instructor I had (Olivera) was fantastic, I wish I could take classes with her! The problem is that the place is so poorly managed.
I think they just don't want clients to sign up through insurance programs. I signed up through Active and Fit and then just... heard nothing. Apparently they put insurance clients in a waiting list but there's no information about it and nobody has any answers. I visited the studio multiple times, called, emailed, text... nothing.
The thing is, I would have stayed on the waiting list but they charge you even though you're unable to sign up for classes! If there had been even the tiniest bit of information I think it would have been fine but they just take your money and ghost you. If they can't take insurance clients then they should just make that clear. Honestly I would have signed up full prince if I'd known, since the "discount" is minimal anyway. But they definitely left such a bad impression that I'd rather stay well away.
In adition, all the pricing information is obscure and it feels overall scam-y

Joining Club Pilates Sunnyvale was the best decision of my life and the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. The instructors and staff are absolutely amazing and I’ve made so many new friends in class. Katy’s Saturday morning classes have been instrumental in helping me to regain my flexibility and to feel centered mentally and physically as I start my day. I also love Olivera and Laura’s classes, as well as many others. I’m at the best shape of my entire life in my 40’s and still getting better every day. If you’re hesitant about trying Pilates because of media stereotypes, I can assure you that this is a welcoming, diverse studio with clients from all walks of life, and everyone will welcome you with open arms. I’ll go with you to your free intro class if you need support even if you’re a total stranger. Come join us!

I took an intro class and it was amazing, I signed up 5 min after the class as I loved it so much and staff was great! When they found out I signed up through my insurance company, everything changed! I was put on a “waitlist” even tho I had already paid my membership just because I was paying through my insurance. I was treated completely different at that point, ignoring my texts, I would call everyday and they would say the manager would call me at the end of the day. I got tired of calling and the classes were already getting booked so I was wasting my money not being able to sign up for them, yet paying for the month. What a scam! And how unprofessional from the manager! I called another location and they activated my account within minutes. Very unfair treatment by the Sunnyvale location!

Please be aware of the time. My baby is just 1 week to 3 months old. He cried just before I left home. It made me come to the club one minute, literally 1 min, later than the late policy. The instructor didn’t allow me to come in. And the front desk just said I have to ask her manager no matter what I said.

My experience with Club Pilates has been disappointing due to their unclear and convoluted policies. I want to share my experience in hopes of informing your decision, if you’re ever considering doing a membership with Club Pilates:
- 12/11/2024: After my class with Tania (the manager for the Sunnyvale studio and an instructor), I inquired about joining the 3-month membership because, at that time, I was only doing drop-in classes. I asked Tania if it was possible to do the passport membership for my first month because I was already planning to go to the East Coast for the holidays in mid-December, and I wanted to go the Club Pilates there, and then back to eight classes per month membership for my second to third month when I'd be back home.
- 1/10/2025: After my 1st month of the membership, I called the front desk to ask if I could go from Passport to Unlimited instead of going from Passport to 8 classes. The person said yes and then told me to sign the contract to confirm the downgrade, which I did.
- Throughout this whole time until this week, I thought my membership was ending on 3/11. Since I thought my membership was going to end soon, I was reflecting more on my experience at Club Pilates and eventually decided that after my membership ended, I'd move on to go to another smaller Pilates studio because my main critique was that I wasn't getting enough 1:1 feedback from the classes, so I didn't feel like I was progressing as much as in Pilates as I'd like. Obviously, each class has 12 people with one instructor who constantly has to cue and remember the program, which makes sense as to why it's hard to get 1:1 feedback in the Club Pilates classes.
- 2/10/2025: Then, finally, after my class with Tania, I asked the person who was at the front desk when my membership would get canceled and she told me that it'd end on 4/11/2025 instead because I downgraded my membership from passport to unlimited back on 1/10/2025. That was my first time knowing this.
- From my first conversation with Tania back in December and my phone call with the front desk a month later, I wasn't made clear that downgrading my membership type would reset the 3-month commitment because that information would've informed my decision better, and if I had known, I would've just done the passport membership for the whole 3 months.
- I went back to look at the contract that I signed back on that date, and when I searched for the word "downgrade" in it, I couldn't find anything mentioning that downgrading the membership would result in a reset of the 3-month commitment, and the only way that this rule could be inferred from was the payment schedule. I wish that rule could've been outlined clearly in the contract, and that it was brought up to me earlier when I first proposed to downgrade.
- I already submitted my cancellation notice on 2/10, because I was ultimately still set on moving on with another studio that meets my goals and needs.
- 2/13/2025: However, I was very confused about this rule, so I decided to clarify this with Tania, and I explained this to her. However, I was told that that rule was mentioned to me multiple times, in the contract, and even in the downgrade notice email. Also, since I'm early canceling, I'd pay the $100 cancellation fee, which I asked if it's possible to do a one-time courtesy waive of the fee because that rule wasn't mentioned to me until this week, but unfortunately, she said no. Interestingly, I looked back at the downgrade notice email that was mentioned in our conversation that day (see screenshot)--it didn't mention that the downgrade would lead to a reset of the 3-month commitment.
Overall, I feel like the cancellation fee is unfair given that I was uninformed that downgrading the membership would reset the 3-month commitment, and I'm honestly very disappointed by this.

The classes I was able to take I enjoyed the instructors are good knowledgeable Studio is clean. The equipment is really good. With that being said, I think their membership pass is a scam. This place does not offer enough classes for as many monthly passes as they sell. You have to sign up for monthly membership, and your unused classes do not carryover. Everything is always booked. I’m always waitlisted. I never make it into the class and then I lose the credit it expires before I can ever use it. They constantly text me asking me to upgrade my membership to eight passes a month, but I can’t even use the four I already paid for. Each class can only have 12 people. They just don’t have enough classes on their schedule for what they sell. I wish you could just buy a book of 10 classes that never expire and use them when you use them would be so much better than this membership that bills monthly that you can never fully use.

Joining Club Pilates was extremely disappointing. There is a gap between what is said in the contract of joining the club and what happened Oved. They just wouldn't let me cancel the subscription after I asked a month in advance to stop the connection due to my long work trip, they just weren't ready to stop the subscription and just wanted more money. A pleasant experience, not a pleasant mindset, a team that doesn't care and doesn't understand the needs of the customer. I would not recommend the place at all, I am disappointed

Pallavi was wonderful! Her 1.5 workout is very challenging. I like that she gives you personal attention to correct your form. She also repeats the instructions twice in quick succession so that it is easier
to understand what to do. She accomplishes a lot too as she moves quickly from one exercise to the next. Every week is so different using different apparatus. She also never loses patience with us seniors who need extra help sometimes. She is a 10, not a 5! Thank you Pallavi!

As a member of club Pilates, I’ve found the Sunnyvale management to be quite disappointing.
While the instructors themselves are knowledgeable and dedicated, the same can’t be said about the management team.
I have been trying to reach out to Club Pilates management for over a week now via phone and email, and unfortunately, I have received only a single generic email responses, instead of acknowledging my specific questions and issues. This lack of communication is highly disappointing and unprofessional.
Despite multiple attempts to contact them, I have not been able to get through to anyone who can address my concerns.

The instructors are nice and helpful but the whole membership system is very disappointing and a little spammy.
I was able to book classes on 5/23 and 5/24 and got confirmation emails separately, then I was told that my classes were cancelled when I drove 30 minutes to get to the studio on 5/23 morning, which was a workday. I had to head out directly because my membership ended on 5/23 and only the studio manager was able to manually book classes, who was out of town at that time.
I explained my situation and asked the frontdesk to leave a note for it and also called the studio again for the same reason later on. And I never received a callback from the studio manager as promised.
When the studio manager finally pick up my call, I was told that the credits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. They were only able to manually book classes for me even if I said it several times that I did not plan to go to this studio again.
To summarize the issues
1. Here is a big gap between the email wording and the booking app. The email says "your account will be canceled on 5/23 and you can take classes until that date", which I missed at the beginning and it was on me. But the email was not clear about whether or not 5/23 was included, let alone the app allowed me to book classes until 5/24, which I totally rely on. Then my confirmed classes on 5/23 and 5/24 were just cancelled without any notification
2. The membership system and management was not flexible enough and my personal situation was totally ignored. I mentioned it several times that I moved and the studio is too far from me now, and I did not want to go back due the bad experience on 5/23. The manager kept saying that the offer was generous enough and they made an exception to make it. I appreciate a back-to-back session offer (since I had two credits left) but realistically not everyone is willing to have a 2-hour pilate session...

However this location said my socks are not ‘up to their standard’, and asked me to purchase another pair of socks from them, otherwise I would be refused to attend the class. They didn't inform ahead of intro class that it needs grip socks and the grip sock price there is much higher than market price. Though they claimed they did text and the text went to spam filter, other pilates inform it on obviously place of website and confirmation/reminder emails. They just texted at the last minute.
The front-desk staff is unprofessional. I said I'd like to look for another time. She totally changed an attitude and asked whether I don't want to come anymore.
I went there at noon and the place is surprisingly dim without much indoor lights.

The worst Pilates location ever in Bay Area. I’ve been practicing Pilates for years, this location’s front desk is super arrogant and deliberately to charge me no-show fee even I showed up. I didn’t know about this until the charge shows up on my bill. What’s more, when I asked to change my plan, the front desk then intentionally to hide the information about the limitations of the new plan. Very bad management, very bad people at this location. While other locations are pretty good.

I’ve signed up for an introductory class and contacted the studio beforehand on their pricing. While they did reveal the cost of the drop-in classes are 39 dollars, they mentioned that they do not reveal the pricing before the introductory class. I find this lack of transparency to be quite concerning, it feels like the studio wants to talk its guests into taking a membership. I decided not to take my demo class with them after reading other reviews.

Be careful this is probably a scam gym. They give you a free intro class. And the they will start to put balance in your account said you are obligated to pay for some membership that you didn’t even sign up. If you don’t pay off that balance that come from nowhere. They will use third party to ask you to pay unless you want to hurt your credit. Be careful!!

I have signed up two days ago. And tge first class I was meant to take was canceled due to a medical issue of the instructor. Apon searching the availability for my level ALL OF MEXT WEEK ARE waitlist ONLY.
I would demand to have my membership terminated. They use u fair and illegal term !
I demand to cancel my membership today!

If you are a few minutes late for whatever unexpected issue, they don’t listen to you and charge you 25$ even the class is not full and you already paid for unlimited monthly classes. There are too many people and limited classes. The have strict, unfriendly policies. I would not recommend this place at all, they are more interest in making money that keeping their customers happy.

This studio is very popular - and for good reason. The instructors here are very knowledgeable, constructive and welcoming - the best Club Pilates studio in the Bay. I know they are in the process of creating more classes which means increased booking availability, so looking forward to that!

I am moving out of CA. I have been coming to this Club Pilates since I’ve moved to town. Ivy is the best instructor! I will miss her. If you can, join one of her classes. She always has a waitlist so book in advance!

This is by far my favorite studio! The instructors are supportive, energetic, and each work out is different. The 1.0 classes are truly accessible to any fitness level, and I liked how the intro class incorporated both learning about the equipment and a workout. You can get a good sense of the style from the intro class for sure.
Also the unlimited pass is a great deal, and many folks take classes back to back, which is a great wa to try different styles and utilize the pass.

I have been a member since Feb. 2017. The intensity of the classes really depends on the individual. With time, I have learned to make my sessions personalized for me, whether it be a 1.0, a 1.5 or even a 2.0 Level. Consistency and careful direction from our experienced instructors with proper form can make you loosen tight joints, massage stiff backs, strengthen the core and become addicted, just like me!
