This is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life I pay $200+ for my membership and I switched from LA fitness back in August I wanted my friend to experience Club Studio I sent him a Guest Pass to work out with me and once we got to the counter they told me because he used a Guest Pass back when I used to go to LA Fitness won’t be able to come in. Even though La fitness is a completely different GYM. I was embarrassed infront of my friend and we had plan to work out together. DIDN’f get my workout in and had to say sorry to my friend worst experience I will be cancelling my membership. HORRIBLE MADE ME EMBARRASSED AND RUINED MY PLANS

Club Studio delivered an experience that surpassed all my expectations. I entered the gym after my friend suggested it because the trainer greeted me warmly before I finished my HIIT workout which left me feeling energized rather than tired.

The Pilates studio draft made my towel dance in the air but I barely noticed because the experience remained mostly positive. The gym environment at Club Studio stands completely different from my previous gym experience in downtown Irvine.

The small expensive gym located in a bad area now exists only in my memory. I told myself this as I ran on the treadmill at Club Studio.

I visited Irvine and attended a cycle class with my friend, taught by Rachel H. It was my friend’s first-ever cycle class and my first time at this studio. We were both struggling to set up our bikes correctly, Rachel literally watched us and offered zero assistance. I had to ask her directly for help, and she said, “I’ll be right there,” then proceeded to begin the class. My friend received no guidance or instruction - despite it being very clear she was new and unsure. It completely took away from what should have been a positive first experience. I’ve taken many cycle classes at other studios, and I’ve never encountered an instructor who showed no support for new people. For a paid class, especially at a studio that markets itself as welcoming, this was ridiculously unprofessional. Her attitude makes it clear that instructing is not the role for her, anyone looking for a good instructor might want to book with someone else

I canceled my membership at Club Studio Irvine due to my negative experiences there. I found that both the staff and many members exhibited racist behavior towards Mexican people like me. Additionally, the restrooms were consistently dirty, there wasn't an adequate number of machines available, and overall, I felt it was an overpriced facility where racism was tolerated.

I joined this gym in September 2025, and it’s now October and I’ve already canceled my membership. I’ve been a member of various gyms and workout studios, such as Club Pilates, and I have never experienced such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior from staff.

To start, they offer you a free personal training session where you meet with a trainer to discuss your goals and determine if you want to move forward with training. I booked mine with Leilani F., and it was easily one of the most discouraging experiences I’ve ever had in a gym. She was not motivating or supportive at all. Instead, she made fun of my current fitness abilities, saying things like “Wait, that was hard for you?” in a sarcastic tone. It was extremely unprofessional and made me feel embarrassed rather than encouraged.

I later took one of her strength training classes, hoping maybe that first encounter was just a bad day. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. She looked bored and completely checked out the entire class. She clearly didn’t want to be there, and it showed.

Then there’s Toni A., one of the Pilates instructors, who was just as unpleasant. She has zero patience for anyone still learning. I’m experienced with reformer Pilates, but I’m still adjusting to this studio’s setup since their reformers are different from Club Pilates. She made no effort to guide or assist members who weren’t familiar with the equipment.

The final straw for me was the ridiculous policy around class timing and the way it’s enforced. I arrived three minutes late to a ride class and was told I couldn’t join. Then it happened again today with a reformer class taught by Kate B. — she was incredibly rude. When I walked in, she immediately said, “No, we already started class, leave,” and literally shooed me away with her hands like I was a rodent. It was humiliating and completely unnecessary. I get that being on time is important, but life happens — people are going to be a few minutes late sometimes. The first few minutes of class are just warm-up anyway, so there’s no reason to treat members that way.

What’s even more frustrating is that I’ve heard front desk staff make announcements five minutes into classes saying there’s room due to cancellations and that anyone can join if they’d like. So how is it acceptable for them to let people in after class starts when I get turned away for being three minutes late? It’s inconsistent, unwelcoming, and makes no sense.

Throughout my short membership, almost every interaction I’ve had with staff has been negative. The only pleasant person I’ve encountered was Tyler, who helped me sign up when I first joined. He was professional, kind, and genuinely seemed to care about the member experience. Other than him, the staff have been rude, dismissive, and clearly unhappy to be there.

Overall, this gym completely failed to provide a supportive, professional, or even basic customer experience. I canceled my membership today and will not be returning. I highly recommend looking elsewhere — there are plenty of gyms and studios where you’ll actually be respected, helped, and treated like your presence matters.

Great Gym Experience!

I’ve been coming to this gym for a while, and I’m really impressed with how clean, organized, and well-maintained it is. The equipment is modern and in excellent condition, and there’s always enough variety for both strength and cardio workouts.

The staff is friendly, professional, and always willing to help or answer questions. I also love the positive atmosphere — everyone’s focused and motivated, but it never feels intimidating.

It’s clear they really care about members’ experience, from the cleanliness of the locker rooms to the overall energy of the place. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay fit and feel good! 💪

Stop being cheap and closing recovery room 2 hours before gym closes! Should not close more than 30 mins earlier. Clean equipment and lockers every few hours and as needed, the benches often have stains from shoes.

As I entered the Club Studio Irvine this morning I was greeted by Omid, the assistant manager. He introduced me to the club, showed me around, and explained the membership benefits with clarity and detail. He took his time on several occasions to follow up with me, ensuring I get the most out of the time I have spent at the club. Throughout my interaction with Omid, he was friendly, courteous, and very professional. I was grateful for his assistance.

Overall an unpleasant experience. I’ve been a loyal customer since 2023, but the constant price increases are frustrating. Every time I canceled my membership for a trip and rejoined, the rate went up again. Signing up is immediate, but canceling takes nearly a week and can only be done by email, very inconvenient by design.

They market themselves as a high-end gym like Lifetime or Equinox, but the service and cleanliness are nowhere near that standard. Booking classes is nearly impossible unless you pay extra for early access, which feels like a rip-off for a gym that is mediocre at best.

Cleanliness is another big issue. Towels are often piled up in corners, sweat is left unwiped on machines, and there’s dirt and debris around the equipment. The attached photos show examples of the dirty conditions that are common here.

For the price they charge, and plan to raise even further, (according to sales staff) this gym does not deliver the value or quality it claims. It feels more like LA Fitness under a new name than any kind of premium gym.

Amazing gym with the sweetest folks!

Came in with my partner on a week-long guest pass and we had the pleasure of chatting with Omid, who is the coolest customer service rep I’ve ever met. He’s been such a help, especially for my partner who was very intimated by this gym at first. Omid was super down to earth and realistic about our goals, expectations, and life situation — a breath of fresh air after years of dealing with Equinox reps (there are nice ones, but they can be so elitist!!!).

Absolutely would recommend Club Studio if you’re looking for a gym with the same standards as EQX. It’s less pricey, more chill, and you can do monthly memberships! The equipment is all top notch as well.

Have enjoyed Club Studio for nearly two years. I previously was going to multiple gyms for a variety of workouts. Once I joined Club Studio, I was able to try many different workouts that I may never have tried before. Each week I am able to rotate between a spin class, yoga, cross fit, reformer, and a boxing class. The instructors are amazing and I have never had a class that I did not enjoy.
There is an open gym with a full array of machines to use, a basketball court, sauna, steam room, and pool.
There are always opportunities to make your own workout routine or get assistance from the staff at Club Studio.
The facilities are well maintained and are kept up well.
I highly recommend trying a day at Club Studio and see what you think (especially if you are going to multiple gyms for workouts).

Review: Tabe Ndipagbor (Professional Personal Trainer) – Club Fitness

I just finished a session with Tabe, and honestly, this guy gets it. From the moment the warmup started, you could tell he wasn’t just going through the motions — everything was intentional. He ran us through his custom lower body program, and not only was it creative, but it was also incredibly well-executed.

He hit every major muscle group — quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves — and managed to balance intensity with proper form coaching. It wasn’t just squats and lunges either; Tabe layered in mobility drills, activation work, and tempo training that made it clear he understands biomechanics on a deeper level. Each quadrant had its own focus, and somehow it all flowed seamlessly.

More importantly, Tabe made it approachable. He coached each person based on their level, offering variations without making anyone feel left out or behind. The energy was positive, motivating, and no-nonsense in the best way. You can tell he genuinely cares about client progress and isn’t just there to count reps.

I’ll be honest — I wish I could’ve kept up the whole time. The way he structures his workouts pushes you just enough to show you what’s possible, and now I’m definitely going back for another round. That was the first time working out felt intentional and progressive.

If Club Fitness is serious about developing top-tier trainers, Tabe is someone you want to help set that standard. He’s not just a trainer — he’s a technician with a people-first attitude, and it shows in the way his sessions land with members.

Club Studio Irvine has recently leveled up big time with Tabé as a CS4 coach!! It was already my favorite class at this amazing gym but he makes it extra fun, challenging and rewarding. You can’t help but feel uplifted physically & mentally after training with Tabé’s guidance. If you can get into a class I recommend it! See you there :)

Bad experience here - it’s very hard to get into classes, and the way they apply rules is completely inconsistent that sometimes they give your spot away if you’re 10 seconds late even though you’ve checked in at the front desk and walking up to the class. When I pointed this out to the person doing this (Andrea) she was very rude about it. There are better options nearby like lifetime and equinox where it is not near impossible to get into classes (and if you do get into classes, they don’t give your spot away super easy).

I just moved to the area and came on a trial pass to check out the gym. I ended up signing up not long after. Omid was the first person I spoke with, and he took the time to walk me through everything. He genuinely cares about the fitness industry and takes pride in helping people feel confident and comfortable. That made a big difference.

When I was ready to join, Paris made everything incredibly smooth. She was professional, knowledgeable, and had a great energy that made the whole process feel easy and welcoming. She took the time to make sure everything was clear and made me feel like more than just another signup.

The gym itself has a lot to offer. Cryotherapy was a significant selling point for me, and the full basketball court is a huge bonus. Everyone I’ve interacted with has been friendly, but Omid and Paris stood out. They made the experience feel personal, and that is why I’m happy to call this my new home gym.

Had a free one day pass to use, so booked a Monday 11am reform class. Couldn't find a spot in any other class, not even 5am, and the class I went to was also full, so I can see why others complain about not being able to get the most out of their membership. The class and instructor were very good. Felt like a tough workout. Took a quick tour of the club and I can see they have a bunch of specialized rooms like boxing and spin class. They have a heated 25 yards pool with 3 lanes, so probably gets full before and after usual work hours. Staff was friendly to me. The treadmills and weight machines were mostly occupied even at noon on Monday.

Dont get me wrong.. this is a nice gym and I understand it is more class focused vs weight lifting focused but it seriously lacks a few key weight lifting machines and could use more cable machines. If you come in past 4pm it is hard to get an efficient workout done. because all the cable machines are taken and people spend more time on their phones than working out.

My second day of " Premier" Membership and I had signed up for a 2 pm Reform class with Tedde. I checked in and arrived at 2:02 pm and Tedde rudely would not let me in, stating "rules are rules! Don't be late!" There were two available carriages, no one waiting for them.

You know, we are all human. We are all trying to juggle work and life and family. We go to the gym to try to prioritize ourselves and our health, and no one needs to face unnecessary and impolite attitude when trying to do just that.

Very disappointing and has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Club Studio should have a different policy and hire people who actually want to help their members reach their goals as a team.

$250 a month for teachers that don’t correct your form in classes (except vinny, Jonathan and Sara) you get charged if you’re late but if the teacher is late it’s okay. Steam room didn’t work for a while. Machines are starting to fail, the tv didn’t work for a class that requires the tv. Towels aren’t always there when needed. Very expensive for a gym to not upkeep. Losing its “luxury” touch. Better off going somewhere else. And some reception staff are rude like for what. And good luck getting a class, it’s always a waitlist. Save your money go somewhere else.

Extremely Unprofessional and Discriminatory Treatment by PT Mike

If I could give zero stars, I would. My friend and I were filming our workout in an empty gym, ensuring that no one was in the background. Suddenly, personal trainer Michael (Mike) Alexander aggressively approached us. Without a greeting or any polite explanation, he immediately said: “You’re going to erase that video. It’s illegal to film in the gym. Google it.” (FYI—it’s NOT illegal).

When we asked for clarification, he claimed that filming isn’t allowed if people are in the background. We pointed out that the gym was empty and that many members regularly film or even livestream their workouts without any issue. His response? “But I only see you!” We questioned why we were being singled out when others do the same, and his answer? “I don’t care, but I only see you guys!” At that point, it was clear—this was 100% discrimination.

He continued to demand we delete our video and even THREATENED us, saying, “If I catch you again, your membership will be revoked.” His behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate—especially toward two women in an empty gym. There was no acknowledgment, no polite explanation, and no reason for his hostility. Also, does he even have the authority to revoke memberships? Or was he just on a power trip?

What makes this even worse is that Club Studio itself has posted numerous videos featuring customers working out—with people clearly in the background. So why were we treated differently? The hypocrisy is ridiculous.

This isn’t even the first time I’ve seen Mike unfairly single out women in the gym. I once saw him kick a girl out of the stretch area just because she was using a barbell there. Meanwhile, other people break gym etiquette all the time, yet he says nothing to them. Does he hate women? Or does he just think he owns this gym? Because his attitude sure makes it seem that way.

After this incident, we were scheduled for a follow-up meeting, expecting a professional response or an apology for the mistreatment and clear discrimination. Instead, the Operations Manager, Tess, gaslighted us, saying we “don’t need an apology” because we are “strong.” Yes, we are strong—but that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve respect and accountability.

This gym’s handling of the situation was beyond unprofessional—irresponsible, dismissive, and blatantly rude. It’s even more concerning that many other gym members, including content creators, regularly record their workouts—even in Mike’s presence—without any issues. Yet, we were singled out and harassed.

It’s obvious that Mike is a discriminatory person and that this gym allows unfair treatment toward certain members. I truly hope both Mike and Tess are held accountable for their behavior. No paying member deserves to be treated like this.

If you’re thinking about joining Club Studio on Alton Pkwy in Irvine for the classes, don’t do it! They advertise that you’ll have access to all classes, but that’s far from the truth.

Most classes have very limited spots, and even if you try to reserve a week in advance, everything is already on the waitlist. The only classes that are somewhat available are ride classes, but everything else is nearly impossible to book.

It’s extremely frustrating to pay for a membership expecting access to classes, only to find out that you can’t even get in. If you’re joining for the classes, look elsewhere!

Indeed, booking classes at this gym right now is nearly impossible. I’ve been a member since its inception, signing up well before it even opened. For the past couple of years, things were manageable, but recently, it’s become increasingly difficult to get into most of their classes. Beyond that, the facility itself isn’t as nice as it used to be. The restrooms and shower areas are often dirty and smelly, especially at night. You have to wait for equipment, and finding parking can be a hassle.

But what frustrates me most is their blatant practice of prioritizing new memberships over loyal ones. Sometime last year, they introduced a “Premier Membership” tier, where you pay a little extra to get priority booking on classes. As a long-time member, I find this disgusting, it feels like a slap in the face to those of us who’ve supported them from the beginning. They’re essentially punishing old and loyal members by making it harder for us to access the same classes that they promised to us, all to upsell a pricier plan. It’s unfair and shows a complete lack of appreciation for customer loyalty. It is truly a stupid and disgusting selling strategy.

STOP BLAMING AND EDUCATING CUSTOMERS
I’m writing this review here to remind every members here that the front desk may failed check you in and their operation manager Tess will blame it on the customers not double checking properly. Here is the story if you’d be interested reading.
Complaint 1: ClubStudio app was broken earlier that members can not cancel classes freely which resulted in miss charges in late cancel and no shows. App having some defects are totally acceptable, but here I’m complaining about the attitude that their Operation manager Tess, she is the only one who seems not knowing or understanding what happened and what the app defects mean, she is putting the blames on the my side, like: you SHOULD HAVE double check the app to see if it got canceled properly, you SHOULD HAVE done this, oh DO YOU NEED MY GUIDE ON how cancelation works? The app issue resulted in the mis charges are 100% non-customer’s fault, fix the problems for customer like refund ASAP is your job, while blaming and educating customers are not.

Complaint 2: The front desk crew seems have some new faces added in recently, they are both friendly and amazing! but for my own experience, I have encountered 3+ miss-checkins in the past 2 month, it means: they scanned you, but failed check you into classes, even though they said you are “all set”, but NO, you will be charged a no show fee even you participated in the classes properly. Today, I had a very unpleasant conversation with the same person TESS again. When I stated that last Sunday 02/22, the frontdesk crew failed check me into classes, though I did joined the classes, still got charged 2 No Shows, which is $15 per no show, $30 in total. After I closeout the statement politly, this person TESS immediately started her Blaming Educational speech on me again, she went: Well we checkin thousands of people a day, you SHOULD HAVE double checked if you are checked in properly, like confirming with the crew, and this time I will refund you, but from now on, you will NOT be HONORED with any refund.
I admire her mindset that whatever happened even though it’s not due to customers problem, she could always pickup that “it’s always the customers fault” mode. She has that strong mentality that “I will always blame on others no matter what” with a confident and above on others attitude, pretty much gaslighting. and she kept talking fast not allowing me to speak, then I have to ask her to stop educating me and cut her speech and listen to me maybe 5 seconds, I told her that she made me feel uncomfortable by showing this attitude and the wordings she was using, and she has to understand that the gym members are paying a fee to get service from ClubStudio, we customers don’t get paid to help them checkin us properly in order not to be charged by them wrongly. IT IS ClubStudio’s responsibility to make sure everyone got checked in properly and we understand mistake may happen sometimes, then IT IS the OPERATION MANGER’s job to fix the problems in a proper manner. I believe Blaming and Educating customers to do the jobs for ClubStudio is not on our Purchase Agreement nor on your job description.
As a loyal members with this gym 2 years+, I have brought so many friends into this community, I would expect a gentle, friendly problem solving attitude when it comes to issues, like failed checkin properly resulted in misscharging customers, it’s 100% Club Studio's fault not me. The customers not only got NO APOLOGIES but also had to be blamed and educated by a rude person like this one? This is kinda frustrated cause I’ve also heard other members complaining about this same person, similar situation here and there in the gym. What this person is doing is breaking the community.
I am confident to say that I’m responsible for the fees if it’s totally on me, I have no problems paying the fee as I always do, but I refuse to take blames with privileged and arrogant attitudes over ClubStudio’s responsibility continuously. TESS, looking for your apology cause you shall be feel sorry by mistreating people.

their rates are going up to $209 a month for single club access. I was a member for over a year - I've since switched back to 24hr as it's only $25 monthly and I have NO problem taking as many group fitness classes as I want. At $209 a month, you would have to take 15 group classes a month to get the financial value out of this and GOOD luck with that. It was a true struggle getting into classes at CSF not to mention the class descriptions all say they're adaptable at all levels but the instructors will literally stare at you in discomfort vs assist you with any alternatives. Lastly you will be charged $10-15 for not showing up to class or being late.. also id' been charged 2x even after I did show up and had to jump through hoops to be refunded. If you're into cliquey aesthetic gyms and have a generous disposable income, this is the spot for you.

I've been a regular gym goer my whole life but Club Studio has been an absolute game changer for me. Their state of the art facilities, recovery area, cryo, and classes have helped get me in the best shape I've been in years!

Shout to my fav early morning instructors Lauren, Emily, Matt, Karlee, James, Hayley, Drea, and Patrick that get me motivated and ready to kick start my day. Whether it's Ride, CS4, Rebound, Boxing, or Yoga I can't say enough good things about them all and how they constantly push me to go past what I thought my limits were.

Also shout out to the front desk and Recovery Cryo staff. Alex, Melissa, Kelly, and all the others are always sociable and attentive when checking in and leaving.

All in all my favorite club and always looking forward to my next class now!

Updated review Nov 8, 2024. Club instructors are still great as ever. Facilities have been kept clean and some new weights and equipment always seem to make it on the floor and classes. Not as many morning classes as before on Mondays and Fridays but still plenty of chances to sign up.

- The classes are not as good as other Pilates places the 1.5 class is actually level 1.

- When you become a member they don’t disclose that it’s almost impossible to find classes in the mornings or on the weekends.

- They fail to mention that you have to have 3 months commitment.

- They told me that I can downgrade or upgrade at any time but they failed to do so.

- If you have any questions no one can help you and it takes forever for someone to get back to you on your emails.

I tried it for a months and did not like it.

this gym was really nice when it first opened, then they quietly took the infrared sauna away, and they Nickle and dime you for all extras, like the recovery lab, boxing gloves, grip socks etc. on top of that the cardio equipment was never available and you can never get into classes. on top of that the instructors and a majority of the members adhere to antiquated, pro-diet culture dialog and and vibes. staff are friendly but a lot of the instructors give off cliquey vibes that can be very off-putting. On their website they say all classes can be suitable for all fitness levels, this is a lie - none of the instructors offered any accommodation.. with one instructor letting me know I could leave a Pilates class if it was too difficult. Also I heard that they let go of their ONLY dance instructor for being pro Palestine on the internet. You are better off hiring a personal trainer. I was a member for a yea and would not recommend this gym at $200 a month.

This gym is like Hyundai trying to compete with Benz or BMW with its Genesis brand (Hyundai being LA Fitness, Benz/BMW being Life Time and Equinox). That about sums it up!

It’s basically LA Fitness trying to be premium, luxury, etc but not entirely hitting the mark.

It’s also roughly half the price compared to its competition ($190 as of this writing for single location access) and delivers really good value with you being able to access all LA Fitness and Esporta locations on top of the single Club Studio location.

It also will deliver a ton of value to you if you enjoy doing a bunch of class/studio based workouts as it will give you everything you want for one price, under one roof, with better amenities (showers, steam/sauna/jaccuzzi) in addition to a traditional gym floor.

Honestly, I like the classes, the gym floor, and the amenities are acceptable.

It can feel a little crowded in hallways when classes start/end, the change rooms are tiny compared to the competition with not enough areas to blow dry/style hair, etc.

It does get the job done and feels nicer than your typical gym fair.

Note: The recovery lab and cryotherapy chamber are cool, but at an additional $170/month I’d say the bang-buck ratio will not be there for most people, and I’m sure they know that and have priced it this way accordingly to keep occupancy limited. If you add this, you’d be paying about $360/month for single club access — you may as well sign up to Life Time or Equinox at that level of spend.

You get what you pay for I guess, and I’m okay with it so I’ll be signing up :)

This gym is very nice but for the price you might as well go to lifetime.

The main reason I stay at club studio if for their awesome basketball gym and rec league as well as their yoga and box classes.

I have been a member for a little over a year now and the locker rooms have seen a massive decline cleanliness. Unlike lifetime you rarely see workers cleaning the showers or steam/sauna.

Overall I cool environment and awesome community, but for the price it’s just alright.

The showers are infested with WORMS.

Several members have raised this issue with the management, but the initial reaction to these complaints was rude and dismissive, indicating a lack of concern for the matter.

The cleanliness of the facilities is severely lacking, with towels often piling up for hours without being picked up.

As a member of this gym for over a year, I have witnessed a significant decline in quality during this period. The management's approach is disappointing; they show little interest in addressing constructive feedback and seem more focused on maximizing profits than ensuring the well-being of their members.

Be aware that the way they handle membership service after you become a member is terrible. The associates do not even disclose that they have a "5 day rule" for placing a membership hold, which basically means that you have to request this 5 days prior to your billing date. The manager would hide behind the associates and would not take the call and reference the contract, but the contract only states the "5 day rule" to cancellation, not the membership hold.

Inconsistent late policy. They’ve given away my spot even though I’ve shown up exactly when class starts because that was considered late, even though the person they gave my spot away to was already set up on the reformer so they actually gave my spot away a min or two prior to class, but other times I’ve been in class where people walk in 5 minutes late, even 7 mins one time. If you’re for the people and care about members why are your late policies so predatory? You charge a no show fee for someone who’s a few minutes late and even if there’s no one from the waitlist standing by you don’t let them take the class.

I've been going to Club Studio Gym for a few months and have found some aspects to appreciate.

The gym is equipped with new gear, which makes for a better workout experience, and the facilities including the sauna, jacuzzi, and pool are consistently clean.

However, it's worth noting that the gym can feel a bit overcrowded during peak hours from 5-7 PM. On the upside, the daily classes like the hot yoga and boxing are a big draw. These classes are well-executed, though the instructors can sometimes be a bit intense for beginners.

While there are positives, if you prefer a quieter gym experience, you might want to consider your timing. Overall, it's a decent place if you can work around the busy times.

I signed up for a free day pass to check out the club with a couple friends and was consider become a member of Club Studio. I arrived at the club, showed the front desk the email confirmation and the text from a rep with a confirmed date and time that I will be coming. The front desk staffs asked me to pay $40 as the payment to workout at the club for the day. This is the first time that I came to Club Studio. That is not a "Free Day Pass" for potential member to check out the facility before sign up for membership! I told my 2 other friends not to waste their times coming either. My friends and I went over to Equinox and sign up for the membership. Club Studio loss 3 memberships to Equinox.

I did attend the class. The staff did not check in for me correctly. So they charged me not attending fee. I should not have paid for this penalty because I did attend. I made a phone call and then talked to one of their staff, no one really cared my issue. So I have to talk to the third staff. A woman called the manager is so rude. When I was in the middle of talking to her, she talked to anyone else. She did not care. Look, I paid more than $15 for the membership. I don't really care about this. But I will never pay those I should not pay. Ridiculous! I did not feel I get any respects. I am thinking about to leave. So many fitness centers in Irvine, why I should choose this one? Not any control for the amount of new members, because they did not care about the old members.

I signed up for their reformer Pilates class but it’s almost impossible to get a class. You have to set your timer one week in advance to try to reserve a class when the classes come out - but the classes can get booked in a matter of seconds while I’m still refreshing my screen. I have been a member for almost a year and it has not gotten any better, despite their knowledge of the issue. Their class cancellation policy is also inflexible and inconsistent. I showed up to class at the start time of 12:00 but I was charged a no show fee because I was not there a few minutes early and my spot that I worked so hard to reserve was given away to a stand by member before the class start time. After a lot of complaining, I was ultimately refunded the fee but I still wasted my time and effort to drive there only to be turned away despite not being late. This happened to me twice in the last few months. To make matters worse, the next reformer pilates class I returned to, they allowed 2 students to join the class 3 minutes after the start of class. There appears to be no consistent policy and any policy appears to be applied arbitrarily. On the positive side, they do have a few really good pilates instructors (although, I have no other studio to compare to). Also, I like how I can take both reformer pilates and hot yoga here, whereas I don't know of another local studio that offers both these options. Overall, I would not necessarily recommend this gym because of how difficult it is to reserve a spot in a reformer pilates class. However, I haven't cancelled my membership because I haven't found another studio that offers both reformer pilates and hot yoga for less than 200/month and within a 15 minute drive from my home.

Club Studio Fitness offers a mixed bag of experiences, with some shining aspects and others leaving much to be desired.

Firstly, the staff at Club Studio Fitness deserves praise for their professionalism and friendliness. From the front desk to the class trainers, their dedication to customer service is evident and greatly appreciated.

The class trainers excel in their expertise, providing top-notch instruction and motivation to keep members engaged and challenged during workouts. Their passion for fitness is contagious, making each class a worthwhile experience.

However, where Club Studio Fitness falls short is in its management and facilities upkeep. The management leaves something to be desired, as evidenced by the persistent issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The bathrooms and showers are often dirty and unkempt, which is disappointing considering the emphasis on health and hygiene in a fitness environment.

Furthermore, the steam room being out of service for two months reflects poorly on the management's ability to address and resolve issues in a timely manner. This inconvenience detracts from the overall member experience and raises questions about the facility's maintenance protocols.

In conclusion, while Club Studio Fitness boasts great staff and class trainers, its shortcomings in management and facility maintenance detract from its overall appeal. With some improvements in these areas, it has the potential to be a standout fitness destination.

consider these facts before you join: I am a member since the gym open because I live close by. I am a busy mom that I only go there 2 days or 3 days per week. About few month ago , they canceled the kids club which make even less convenient for the moms.
You can’t book the same type of class per day Ex: you have a yoga class in the morning, you can’t book an evening yoga’s class even they do have opening spot. Members do lose their stuff a lot, but the management team won’t be on your side. How did I know ? I lost my cellphone one night before they are about close. I asked everyone including members and workers, nobody saw it. I report to the police and the office showed up at the gym. The manager called me the next day morning says the cameras shows I was have my phone when I go to the locker room. ( I never see the camera myself). She makes me feel like: are you sure you lost your phone in our gym? The funny thing comes the next day. A crew member find the phone and turned in. The manager team never called me for an apology or anything after I pick up my phone. My stanley water bottle was lost in the locker room too. The management could care less about members lost stuff in their gym. They charge $50 per month ( if you won’t come for 3 month , they will charge you $150) for frozen the membership. Current $189 per month. I get $179 per month about year ago. Yes , I know it’s time to change gym.

Went here for the cycling class and I was super excited because I've done it before and really enjoyed it. We signed in when we arrived and then had a nice tour the of place. This place is absolutely fantastic, there's so much to do, from the cryotherapy, pilates, classes, spa, showers, they literally have everything you could need and more!!!!
So as class was about to start we all went in the room and literally 5 minutes before, they told me my bike didn't have the cage and since I didn't have actualy spinning shoes it would be unsafe for me to ride. So they had to kick me out.
Fortunately, they found a replacement class which was the Pilates and it was amazing, i've also take this class years ago and the instructor here was tough which is a good thing.
I asked if I could come back to actually experience the spinning class and they said yes. All i have to do is sign up for a free class for first-timers online and it was easy. Make sure you sign up ahead of time because these classes do fill up along with the other ones too and make sure you don't show up late. I witnessed an incident when a lady was yelling because they wouldn't let her in.
I literally stayed hours because I had to take advantage of the amenities and so happy i did because it was an awesome day of working out and relaxation!!!

So far I couldn’t ask for anything better. I have gone to other clubs such as equinox in the same area and it was not worth the price they were charging. Overall all the amenities are great and I can’t complain to much. There are a few things I love about this gym, and a few things that need to change. To start, they have a lot of amazing instructors and the concept of the gym is great for those with who want to switch up their workout! Staff is friendly. Yoga: Alexa & Hayley, Pilates: Debi & Amanda, Hot Pilates: Meesh, Spin: Ryss & Tami, box: Ashley, ALL AMAZING INSTRUCTORS. The amenities are however lacking. Sauna takes a while to sweat in (after it was downgraded from infrared to a normal heat sauna), occasionally have to wait for a shower to be open on a busy day, no towels in locker room to grab after sauna, and cant fill up water bottle in locker room after sauna/steam room. There are also no classes on Fridays after 11:45am. The weights floor and workout rooms are all very clean. Wish they would also run better deals for access to recovery/cryo for members.

Where do I begin.
-If you want to make trying to get into classes your full time job, this is the place for you. If you don’t remember to book one week in advance, the moment the class becomes available on the app, then you aren’t getting in.
-Don’t even try rolling in 1 minute late to your class because they will block you from going like in like you’re in elementary school. So disappointing after you had the class booked a WEEK in advance!
-They are so confused about their identity and policies. I don’t think they have figured out exactly what works best. The memberships are over sold. The classes are packed. There is hardly any room to move. The showers are always full of clumps of hair, clogged drains, and overflowing towel bins.

I love the variety of classes club studio offers! The trainers are professional, attentive and give personal tips even with 25-person classes! I highly recommend James for CS4 (hiit-type class), Jacinthe for yoga/reformers and Ashley for boxing. They are amazing 💓 two things I would change- class size for yoga and CS4!! (it’s too crowded in the room. The capacity was lower and they added more people in the room which I do not appreciate) and the need for more CS4 & Pilates classes in the schedule instead of overcrowding the rooms. I still find it hard to get into the classes I want since they get filled up fast. Other than those two items, I enjoy Club Studio!

This review is for the Long Beach Club Studio but that new location is not yet showing on Google search to post a review for it.

Before the club started operating in Long Beach, to become the founding VIP member and take advantage of the lower membership dues, I inquired about it through the listed phone number and after several attempts via email and phone message, I finally got to a live person, Adam, who returned my numerous messages and finally enrolled me. Adam asked me to invite great fitness instructors I liked in my current gym to apply to work at Club Studio and I did, but this nominated instructor too had the exact same experience, not receiving any response from Club Studio, after numerous attempts and even after I myself tried to connect the fitness instructor to the club's hiring manager.

The Club opened on 9/9/2023 and I came this morning to take a fitness class for the first time. I did not sign in for the CS4 class ahead of time as Adam had told that wasn't necessary and there would be spots available, which was not the case and the class was full. So I put myself on their class waitlist. The Cub Studio front desk person, Olivia, was not very friendly and when I asked to be let in from the waitlist 3min before the start of the class, she said 'not yet, 3min left", 'no, still 2min left", "no, 1 more min", And then 'no, the class is full'. Then later another staff came and found me on the floor 2min past the class start time saying there is an open spot and I could go in the class.

These are my observation from the class I took:

The fluorescent colored lights in that dark workout room was very harsh on the eyes. It gave me a headache and I had hard time adjusting to outside daylight afterwards.

The class was too crowded for the instructor, Max, to correct anyone's form. This is of course not the instructor's fault.

There was no human to human interaction. The members are interacting with the TV screen guy who is robotically showing them their exercises and members rotate dutifully when time comes. Max was keeping time and letting us know when to move to the next station.

In my current gym, the instructor demonstrates the workout herself and does the work out with the members, they also ask people's names and make an effort to learn their names and also the instructor comes to the members workout station and corrects their form.

There is a feel of community and a sense of warmth in my current gym. As I enter, the front desk always greets me with a smile. You feel important as a person and a valued member and not just a number that brings revenue for the club.

I am currently a member here. Overall the gym is very nice and kept very clean. With that being said their booking system for classes needs some drastic improvement. You can barely get into any classes to which they advise you to waitlist, so you waitlist as many as you can hoping to get into one. The problem is you can be added into a class in the middle of the night without knowing until the next day. So if you don't get into a class, go to sleep and sleep in, you could wake up to a $15 fine that they are unwilling to refund because that is their "policy." They literally expect you to manage all of your waitlisted classes and remove yourself everyday if you don't get in before bed. This is a gym membership not my job lol.

Again the gym is very nice and the classes are quite good (If you can get in) but with that being said this organization is clearly starting Club Studio as a money grab. It is at times more of an inconvenience having this membership.

UPDATE: They have decided to add more spots in classes instead of adding more class times. I now feel like a sardine often times accidentally bumping into the person next to me during the HIIT class

Infrared sauna has been down for weeks with no estimated repair date. It is one of the primary means for recovery and one of the main perks that convinced me to sign up. When I asked for some kind of concession because of this, they said I can go to another La fitness, which defeats the purpose of coming here for its proximity. Anything like a discount on 1 month’s membership or even a discounted perk like the recovery lab would have been meeting in the middle. Instead, got the ✋

This is starting to feel like an extension of LA fitness at boutique studio prices. In the beginning classes were mostly spacious, good quality with organized equipment and knowledgeable trainers. For the past month they started getting chaotic- crammed classes, disorganized weights and downgraded Pilates equipment! This is ridiculous! A few months ago I recommended this studio and now I’m co sundering leaving. The studio needs to respect its clients and care for our experience. We demand the class sizes to be reduced ASAP and add new times to meet the demand and ensure we can easily get in our favorite classes. Also the reformers must be switched back to the solid one we loved to and not the bad quality ones that were put in recently. If Club Studio doesn’t do that, people will start leaving. We know what we signed up for which is not what we have been getting this past month!

I've been a member of this gym since it first opened, and I'm really disappointed with how things have been going lately. When I joined, the gym had nice reformer beds for Pilates classes. However, they recently switched out the comfortable beds for really cheap and uncomfortable ones. It's a huge letdown to attend classes on these new reformers, as they're just not up to par with the quality I expected.

On top of that, they've crammed in several more reformers into the class space, and they all face different directions. This has turned classes into chaotic and confusing experiences. It's honestly unsafe to have people moving in different directions while doing the same exercises. The whole setup has become a mess.

When the gym first opened, it was much better. But now the pilates classes are a not worth it. Also, I always get anxiety in their CS4 classes with the additional station and people they crammed in there and there’s no room to safely move around. It feels like they're trying to pack in as many people as possible without considering the impact on the quality of the experience.

I'm genuinely questioning whether it's worth the hefty membership fee to continue coming here. The convenience of the location is starting to lose its appeal when I have to deal with the headache of trying to book a popular class on the app the very second it's released, just to secure a spot. It's become a race against time to secure a place in the classes that are actually decent.

Overall, the decline in the quality of the gym experience has been disappointing. I used to look forward to my workouts, but now it's becoming more of a frustration. I'm seriously considering exploring other options that might offer a more comfortable and well-organized environment for my fitness journey. The instructors are doing their best but even they are not happy with all the changes and don’t have any say in the matter. I think you are better off signing up for Lifetime or Orange Theory a few doors down.

I signed up for a free day pass to take Tami's spin class and check out all that Club Studio has to offer. I followed Tami here from a previous studio. Her music choice is THE BEST and her class format offers a lot of variety so you won't get bored getting your cardio done. She scaffolds all the choreo expertly to ensure every rider understands what's going on, can catch the beat, access the moves at their own pace, and overall, get the most out of their time in class. No matter your experience level, Tami will make it a fun time and encourage you all the way! 45 minutes will go by fast! Repetition is key to spin, so I recommend taking 5-10 classes before giving up, and sticking to the same instructor so you know what to expect and can build on your skills each time. Tami teaches spin AND box, and I can't wait to try her box class one of these days!

As for the rest of the gym, it is simply amazing! I have never seen anything like it for the price they offer. They also have a circuit training class, reformer pilates, and hot yoga. The hot yoga room uses infrared heat, so it's nice and quiet. There's also some trampoline class in the basketball gym. The basketball gym was nioce, and apparently there is a nice league going on. I think I also saw a childcare room. There's a cute lil food stand in the front. I was able to check out every facility, use the compression boots, and the cryo chamber. The locker room saunas remind me of a K-Spa, the pool looks nice and clean, they have some specialty water on tap, it looks like everyone re-racks their weights there. Ty showed me around, and he is so awesome! He is not a pushy sales guy at all - chill vibes all around. :)

I thoroughly enjoy coming to this gym and look forward to it every day that I go. I go 5x/week for the classes and weight lifting. The gym is clean and I often see employees wiping down the water station and refilling the eucalyptus towels. You are given a disinfecting wipe after every class to wipe down your equipment or workout station.

I enjoy taking Pilates class with Jacinthe. She is tough, but in a good way. I take her class 2x/week.

I take boxing 2x/week with Sara and she is a great instructor! She’s helped me with my stance and my slips.

I only joined Club Studio for Pilates and I'm thrilled with the instructor, Jacinthe Mitchell!
She is bar none the best teacher there. I respect her for her professionalism, knowledge, precision, dedication, and passion. The advanced platform she offers is unique with no two classes being the same which keeps us on our toes and shocks our body. You're sure to receive a fantastic workout with every session. My only complaint is that I wish she could teach Saturdays and the 4pm slots on Mon and Wed. :)

One of the best and affordable luxury/boutique gyms out there if you're not looking to spend over $200 a month. Say goodbye to waiting around for machines/benches, gym bags and pre-workout powder spilled all over the floors, and un-racked free weights and dumbells. Studio instructors (Tami Tran has been my go-to) are also very well-trained and know how to put on a show.

I’ve been hearing amazing things about club studio so I had to check it out on their grand opening!

The gym itself! Such a top notch gym! Everything from the free weights section, to the class rooms, to the showers to sauna was incredible. What an incredible experience.

I took the spin & boxing class with Tami! Her energy is INSANE! Great music choice & super attentive. Felt safe & had so much fun in her class.

An awesome gym where you have so many options to work out! With all the classes, I got to learn so many more ways to exercise. It is very convenient to have all these classes in one gym. Just set a timer for what class you want to book! Spots always open up last minute and I have had many cases of last minute reservations. The trainers are so kind and are always so helpful. I recommend taking classes with
Tami - take any box or spin class with her! Amazing music, energy, and she’s always ready to help you with your form!
Katrina, Ashley, Emily - awesome CS5 coaches that help with form and motivate the room with awesome music! They do a great job circulating the room and checking in on others. Katrina and Ashley also coach box and I highly recommend checking them out!

Gym x Studio Classes x Recovery x Amenities x Great Staff

I fully recommend checking out Club Studio!

This approachable vibey gym opened late Dec 2022. Love the Technogym equipment, functional fitness area and weight areas. Showers, steam, IR dry sauna, recovery area (red light therapy, theraguns, Normatec, water massage, cryo option) are well kept and awesome resources. The bball court is fresh. If I still balled, I’d play there for sure.

CS has a bit of everything to keep you moving, along with a right sized facility and spectrum of amenities (though I wish they had a cold plunge). The Club has its rush hours, but it’s manageable, and it used to be really hard booking classes, but it’s not too bad with their waitlist and cancelation / no-show accountability system. The space was well thought out with a minimalist and clean presentation throughout the gym, locker, and spa area; inspiring insta worthy common areas towards the studio classes, and big mirrors with moody lighting for your focused studio classes.

The BEST PART of the club is… the variety of classes and the coaches / trainers, especially the Box Class. S/O Coach TAMI! She brings it every week in her Box class! She’s super cool, down to earth, and her classes are fun and challenging with a mix of striking to work on your technique and body weight floor exercises to engage the rest of your body and keep your heart rate up. And when you’re about to slow down around Round 8 and 9, she brings the bangers to kick you into another gear until the final bell rings! I’m always asking what’s on her playlist! Try her class, you won’t regret it!

With any class, get to know your coach / trainer - they are all cool and approachable.

Super thankful for her, the other trainers, and entire staff. They keep the gym in great condition and all bring such awesome energy to the Club!

I was a previous ClassPass member and was fatigued by having to travel to so many different studios in order to work on my health and fitness journey. Finding out what Club Studio is and how it's in my backyard changed everything for me. I've since taken 100 classes and enjoyed yoga with Victoria, Dion, Kelly, and Brittney. Rebound with Michael and Haley. Boxing with Tami, Katrina, and Ashley. Reform with Debi. CS4 with Jake and Lauren. Finally, over 50 spin classes with Tami, Amanda, and Ryss. I was a member here from opening til April.

Pros: New and clean. Towels and wipes provided. Friendly staff.

Cons:
- My membership would have ended in March but they gave me a runaround for almost 3 weeks when I wanted to cancel or at least downgrade to signature.
- Classes were always booked out and impossible to schedule unless you booked at least 2+ weeks ahead.
- From a weight lifting perspective, the facility could use several more pieces of equipment.
- They went with the gimmicky TVs built into the mirrors, which make them incredibly hard to watch when the lights are on - did not matter much to me but thought it was funny.
- Part of their sales pitch was keeping the membership capacity to a minimum for our benefit, but the spaces were overly crowded most of the time.
- location-wise the parking lot is extremely crowded, and it can sometimes take 10-15 minutes to just find parking

For the price I paid, I wish I could have utilized the classes at least. The concept was good but execution was very poor.

If I could give a negative rating I would. this gym has been horrible from the start. I have seen no effort by the them to try and fix this. The gym itself is not worth the price. The main thing in the gym is classes, the hassle in order to get one is like playing shoe drop. The classes are full within the first 30 seconds that they open. The classes are nothing special and are not worth the price either. The only way they could probably fix this system is by installing a raffle system where people get picked after signing up and after a few ours they get picked for the class but after recommending that to they said they have received enough recommendations and they don’t need anymore. I have been with them since before they opened. I have been paying 350 a month and i have only been able to get 2 classes. When I went to cancel they said I am 2 days passed my billing date and they did not want to refund me for the new month even though I have not been able to go. If you want a luxury gym club studio is definitely not the place.
They also fail to follow their promise of an exclusive gym given how difficult it is to get classes and parking. If u want a gym that cares about its members and is worth the price look at equinox.

First of all Club Studio can never be categorized as a luxury gym or even compared to gyms such as LifeTime, simply because Club Studio is owned by the La Fitness. Club Studio is guilty by association. If you offer a LA FITNESS package then you should lower your prices to match what you are offering us. Prices should match what is being given. It appears that anyone with $ can join this gym, it is not exclusive to the classy crowd. The hours are terrible. They close at 6 pm on weekends (even worse than LA FITNESS).
You are paying the same prices as you would for LifeTime/ Equinox, HOWEVER, you are not entitled to as much space as LTF or Equinox provide their customers. Club Studio is maybe 1/4 of the size of other luxury gyms.

Secondly. The "eucalyptus" towels are soaked in plain water. There's barely a scent of eucalyptus. Another thing Club Studio needs to take note of are spin studios that graciously hand every member a eucalyptus towel at the end of class (cs does NOT hand towels when you most need it) + at the start of each class ALL bikes DO NOT have clean towels hung across the arm rest. (Club Studio staff should leave a clean towel on all bikes prior to class starting) You need to remember to grab yourself a towel at the front desk.

Thirdly. Club Studio is cramped & feels like everyone is always on top of each other. We come here to de-stress, have some privacy, spread out, but sadly there is no place to do that. The locker room space is tight and you have to wait in line to get to your locker while your dripping wet after the showers, waiting to change your clothes. THE lines to take a shower are insane! At least 3-4 people in line waiting to take a shower after 3 pm every day. God forbid you are in a rush, there is no way of getting your belongings to leave. Adults do not close their lockers, and you need to be cautious where you are going because one of these lockers can smack you right in the face or legs. Lockers that are unused need to be closed at all times. It is a safety hazard to have open wooden lockers and large benches taking up space between the walking aisles. It is like WAR fighting for a spot to sit at the mirror to get ready.

Club Studio staff (not the instructors or sales team) but the females near the studio concierge/floor staff DO NOT WORK. They stand around chatting, giggling and overall wasting time. It seems as if they have no job responsibility so they take strolls patrolling the very small gym. Upper management are extremely unprofessional and slide the ongoing issues members face under the rug. Managers are suppose to handle situations with grace, but sadly, they are not well equipped to deal with difficult customers... the managers are cowards and do not express proper communication skills by confronting the problems head on.

At one point there were several women drinking alcohol in the jacuzzi, obnoxiously laughing throughout the locker rooms, acting like foolish teenagers; although many members complained, unfortunately upper management ignored the complaints since they did not want to loose $ if they revoked these women's memberships.

We cannot forget the disgusting shower area! These showers are rarely cleaned (maybe 1x a week). SEE PHOTOS ATTACHED. This is a daily representation of the locker room. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash are all watered down; meaning they do not refill these bottle with proper soap, instead mix the solutions with water.

Please do yourself a favor and do not waste your money at Club Studio neither Irvine or Long Beach. Upper management are simply cutting corners at the expense of their customers. No ONE wants to make La Fitness any richer than they already are. If La Fitness has ever wronged you, stolen more $ from you than you anticipated or singed up for, then please do not $support$ Club Studio for your own sake.

Amazing!! I’ve been going to Gym‘s for 40 years. This is my favorite gym with the most services available. Instruction and classes are/is top-notch. With 5 separate studios teaching classes every hour do you have a choice of CS 4 ( hit program). Spin cycle. Boxing. Yoga. Pilates with reformers. And bounce with trampolines.
Gym Equipment is new and in great condition. Plenty of cardio machines. A sauna a spa, a pool showers, clean locker room, and towels service.

I give her the highest reviews. And the rehab center is amazing cryotherapy, red light therapy, aqua massage, handheld massage machines, and great customer service.
Oh, and did I mention this smoothies are delicious.
A founding member I don’t see myself leaving for many more years.

Thank you. Club studio, Irvine.

Nice gym, good equipment and nice facilities. Could it be cleaner? Sure. Biggest issues aren’t really gym related; its the location. The gym is placed in a center that does not have nearly enough parking to accommodate a commercial gym. Good luck getting a parking spot at peak gym hours. I have yet to work out there when it is busy (4-7pm) because I have not been able to get a parking spot. That is the biggest reason I wouldn’t recommend this gym. The developers did not consider the limited parking. Also there should be towels in the locker rooms, not in a common areas.

Top tier gym. Clean and high-quality equipment and classes. Amazing staff is always helpful and kind. It's literally a full gym with all the free weights anyone could want, ideal for all experience levels. It also includes a wide variety of boutique style classes. On top of all that, this gym feels like a spa as well with lockerroom jacuuzi, steam room, and an infrared sauna! However, every time I try to take a towel home in my gym bag, their advanced door security system alerts them. Not cool. Otherwise, 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend.

Dissatisfied. The staff ignores recommendations from loyal members and dismisses you for suggesting upgrades. The gym is not clean. They thought using the color tan in the lifting area would look classy; however it shows the dirt more than ever. There needs to be a cleaning staff wiping down the benches to get the dirt stains out of the equipment. It’s hard to sit and ignore bacteria on the machines. The water station need to be professionally cleaned frequently, since those pipes are building germs and mold. The towels are place inconveniently outside the locker rooms in a hallway with cameras. Dispite the fact that many of us have asked the staff to move the towels inside, ultimately the staff neglects our valid concerns. They only care to accommodate a member during the sales process, but once your locked in a committed contract, you are just a number to them. The locker rooms are horrific. The hairs in the showers are clogging the drains and surround all walls. The worst part is that members walk in on you showering daily, since there are no doors for privacy. There is limited space to get ready because the locker area is tight and always full of aggressive inconsiderate people leaving towels everywhere, not picking up after themselves, taking up the entire benches with their belongings, the lockers are left open to hit you in the face, and the list continues. We need a staff member in the locker rooms at all times enforcing safe and clean protocols for these “adults”. It’s impossible to see club studio as luxurious when the majority of the members they have recruited seem to have never stepped foot into a real luxurious gym such as equinox and lifetime.

There are always people in the dry sauna wearing their dirty gym clothes. It’s really disgusting. Wish they would do something about that. Thinking about switching to the new Lifetime that just opened based on the saunas alone. They also have no idea about the guest pass protocol. Is there one? No one knows. The saunas are disgusting though. That’s the biggest complaint. And the showers don’t have hot water, which is another big deal breaker for me. Classes are also impossible to sign up for.

We have had a spectacular experience since we joined and we like say "so many choices, 1 experience". The entire team at Club Studio have not only been friendly and help-full they have been very professional since day one. Yes, at the beginning there were some challenges, but with any type of new opening (from technology and just opening something new) they have done a very nice job with communication. We love how clean the gym is (bravo) the variety of classes that are offered anCod much more! We attend the CS5 classes and if you have not tried them, you are missing out. Coaches Courtney, Jacob, Kara, Emily, Max, are fantastic, and they even take the time to guide you through the work outs and give you feedback on how to improve (like one on one personal training) this is hard to do, as there are at least 20 members and 1 coach, so to do this with all the members, and keep track of the class routine, this is AWESOME. No, we are not employees writing this review, and everyone has their own opinion (which is respectful) but, you have to experience this on our own, and develop your own opinion. We have been able to get into all the classes we were interested in attending. All positive things to say about the Club Studio and the entire staff (you all work so hard) THANK YOU

Updating my review now that the new waitlist system has been in place. I’m able to get into most of my classes that I attempt to book, as long as I sign up about a week before. The only downfall is getting in within the 12 hours of the start time as a cancel fee will be charged if I can’t go. All the cs4 trainers have been great. Cs4 space and locker rooms are cramped.

My whole goal was to go to Club Studio for the hiit classes 3 evenings a week. Unfortunately since they opened just before Christmas I haven’t been able to book any classes, even two weeks out. Might as well pay a fraction of the price and join another gym to do my own strength training exercises. Emailed someone named Carie two days ago about this concern but have not been reached responded to yet. Total dissatisfaction and disappointment so far.

I’ve been a member since the start and I love it. I’ve never had any negative experiences with the staff and they have been helpful. It’s clean and they have plenty of wipes to clean the equipment. I’ve been able to book classes with the new system and for people complaining about the cancellation and no show fees those are pretty much the standard at all studios. I do think they should allow up to a 4 hour cancellation period and also let you know what number you are in the waitlist so you can be ready to go to class if someone cancels late.

They had a lot of people showing up late for classes or not showing up at all so they got rid of the 5 minute grace period so a person waiting and is there on time can get in. It’s not

Be on time. Parking is crazy during peak hours so plan for it. You aren’t going to get a parking spot one minute before your class. Allow at least 10-15 minutes during peak times so you can find parking, walk to the studio and get to your class on time.

I was a guest at Club Studio Irvine on Sunday February 19th . I am not a: 'go to the gym for classes kind of guy'- so I cannot comment on the classes. However, I am a stickler for: customer service, quality of equipment and what kind of people proverbially, 'I'll be rubbing shoulders with'.

First and foremost, the customer service was fantastic! Staff was welcoming, yet not over intrusive. I could tell they had an eye for detail and were there to make sure that the customer experience was good. In other words, their attentiveness to the customer was there purpose for being there! Secondly, the equipment was: state of the art, operable, clean, and accessible. I had been used to working out on the matrix rowing machine but at Club Studio Irvine they've got the Concept rower- 'boy, did I notice the difference!'. I thought I had been getting good workouts on The matrix rower, but now I know what I was missing once I tried the concept rower! Matrix is good but Concept rower is better! And finally, the proverbial 'what kind of people I'll be rubbing shoulders with'... When I go to the gym, I don't want to rub shoulders with anybody! I'm there for my workout and that's about it! I am not antisocial, however, what I don't like about many gym's is: the raging with testosterone with attitude swole guys and the workout gals that think if you glance at them you are gawking at them! All the people working out
were quite pleasant- how refreshing and considerate- I noticed many people wiping off the machines after they had finished their sets!
And finally finally, unfortunately, I did not get to try the cryotherapy because I personally ran out of time! But I can tell you this, for the price of membership with unlimited cryotherapy- if you went to a cryotherapy only studio- the cost will be about double what it is for a Club Studio membership! In other words, Club Studio membership is a bargain even if it was twice the price! I was able to experience Club Studio, hoping they will be able to replicate that Concept in Long Beach (border line Seal Beach)- because that is the Club Studio I will be joining when Club Studio Long Beach opens this spring!

Thank you for reading.

This place is the worst type of scam that you can think of!
They lure you in with good prices and promises, end up charging you for everything they can charge you for (not to mention you pay for the first and last month in advance so you’re stuck even when you want to quit) .

They change their policies left and right without giving people a grace period to get used to new rules (I was at the door at 8:31 today for a class that started at 8:30- I was added to the waitlist last night and I have two small kids that I need to get to school in the morning. They didn’t let me in claiming that “they cancelled the grace period and class is closed”)

They are a fancy- looking place (not that fancy, just new, but we don’t have high standards here because there are not enough gyms) , overly expensive, and a true scam!

It has become clear to me in the last few months that it’s just about money and not about the people. I think it took me this long to decide to leave just because we waited so long for them to open (another scam!!)

I’m 35 and have been working out my whole life, in different facilities in different cities and countries. This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had all around. Hopefully I’ll never have a similar experience again. Now my husband (who never goes because he doesn’t have the same flexibility with waitlists and we’ve been paying for him for no reason) and I need to figure out how to get out of the contract. They don’t make it easy (did I mention it’s a scam already?)

Don’t be like me and don’t be fooled.

I have been to both equinox and Lifetime, and my routines are much more complete here with the state of the art recover center, and adding the unique very high quality classes to my routine for diversity. If you use the waitlist system you can take the classes.

Ok but I’m here for even worse than NO CLASSES. The locker room. It is extremely tight space. It is uncomfortable. For some reason the showers don’t have the doors and no space to put your stuff except the hook. Water pressure in the shower suck too. I do like the gym itself a lot and the equipment. Unfortunately not much competition in the area (equinox is too big and too far from me) so I’m going to stay just for the use of the gym without using the shower (it’s easier to just go to shower at home for me) and hope one day equinox (or similar) opens at Irvine spectrum or Laguna hills.

Brand new but went cheap on the weight machines and equipment- and not enough of it. Somewhat disappointing experience after the hype

No classes available. It is absolutely impossible to attend a class here. It's honestly stressful having the membership because you're constantly battling to get into a class. The gym and spa is absolutely beautiful but they should have built multiple studios.

I went to club studio yesterday for my first time and had a great experience. The facility is brand new and very cool. The front desk was very helpful in helping me figure out where to go as I was there for a 930 spin class. Chloe walked me back and got me set up on my bike and even brought me a towel. I took a spin class with yassie and she was great a great instructor with really fun music. After the spin class I hit the gym and all the equipment was brand new. When I was done with the workout I stopped by the recovery area and did cryotherapy. They had massage chairs and massage guns that I will use next time but had to get to work. I used the locker rooms to take a shower and get ready for work. Very nice showers, towels, and amenities provided. On the way out I stopped by the juice bar and grabbed a protein shake which was delicious. I definitely recommend it and will be coming back to this gym.

Definitely been worth the wait!
Matt O, Chloe and Ari are all amazing instructors with such great energy!

Going to the gym usually feels like a chore, but since I joined Club Studio, I’m so excited to go! I would recommend to all! The facilities are great and it definitely has a luxury feel!

Yes the classes are getting booked up but I can see they are actively trying to keep up with demand/booking trends and introducing new class times accordingly. They’ve only been open a few weeks so it’s completely understandable that they are still figuring finalised a timetable out!

This is a new, state of the art facility, with all the bells and whistles of an LA Fitness club trying to compete with Equinox.

The very (very!) high price, includes an appealing set of classes like hot yoga, boxing, cycling and pilates. Unfortunately, its impossible to sign for any class in the near future due to high demand and very low availability. With no classes to offer there is really no reason to pay 4 times more than any other clubs in the area. The team is fully aware of the class issue, but the will not disclose it during the sign-in process.

Yes, it's nice and flashy, great amenities when they decide to keep it clean or have things in stock but that's not worth the price by itself.

I don't know what other reviewers are talking about when they say that using the waitlist works because I have waitlisted more than 50 classes hoping to get in. At all times of the day thanks to having a flexible work at home schedule. Only got in ONCE on Christmas Eve probably because most people realized it's Christmas Eve. Besides who wants to wait around and hope to get in like this everyday. That's not a sustainable plan for anyone who has life outside of the gym or people who don't have flexibility throughout the day. They really should have anticipated that people bought in for the boutique class experiences and made the group exercise rooms bigger instead of putting a pool nobody uses... probably because they'd feel like they're an aquarium attraction the way its set up smack in the walkway between all the classes!
