Nastiest environment. Terrible staff. So rude and very unwelcoming. Best to take your money elsewhere and every single person who goes here is in competition and the trainers are all so very rude and treat people poorly. Also my little sister came with me to take a tour and on of the trainers gave her dirty looks and said excuse me in the rudest tone ever when no one was in her way… how is it possible a nearly 30 yr old woman can be rude to a pre-teen girl. The jealousy here is unreal.I signed up for a membership and wanted to attend a class. But It’s just a bunch of insecure women who come here trying to one up each other even though the people who go here don’t have a nice figure and neither do those who work here. I felt so uncomfortable being here and they definitely hate on people who have a naturally small frame. If you look good you will get treated badly here.

Club Studio LB does a great job of finding a perfect balance between affordability and luxury. Highlights include rarely if ever having to wait for a preferred machine; unlimited classes, including reform pilates, spin, boxing, and HIIT circuit training; and joining a community of respectful, supportive people serious about fitness, which is all the more motivating. Most of the staff go above and beyond in being kind and attentive, and facilities and amenities are kept pretty clean. The recovery lab is a nice touch as well, which includes leg compression machines, red light therapy, cryotherapy, hyrdromassages, etc. — pretty bougie and a nice upgrade. Friday and weekend hours don’t go late as a head’s up, but overall this gym is well-worth the price in my opinion. Special thanks to Omdi & Jojo for making the onboarding process as smooth as can be.

I’ve been a loyal member since the beginning and have always supported this gym. I even referred several of my own wellness clients here because I truly believed in what they offered. But after my recent experience, I’m so disappointed.

I reached out to freeze my membership while I’d be out of town due to the sudden death of a loved one, and instead of compassion or understanding, I was met with rudeness and defensiveness. The Operations Manager, Ricky, talked over me, interrupted, and made me feel like I was being difficult for simply asking for help. He told me my only options were to freeze starting December 10 (when I’d already be back in town) or cancel my membership entirely.

When I called again to confirm I wouldn’t be billed - since I’d given notice in accordance with California’s cancellation laws - the staff member I spoke with actually laughed at me. In that moment, I felt like my situation didn’t matter at all. It felt like I was just another number, not a person who’d been part of this community from day one.

I want to be clear that the Pilates instructors, especially Alyssa and Karen, are incredible - they’re compassionate, talented, and the reason I stayed as long as I did. But leadership and management have lost sight of what wellness really means. It’s not just about policies and payments — it’s about people.

I truly hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect and do better. No one deserves to be treated this way when they’re simply trying to do the right thing during a difficult time.

Very spacious gym tho doesn't seem to be enough equipment for the amount of people going here. I guess the classes are the real focus here, but even the classes don't sufficiently accommodate all of the members as they tend to get fully book fast.

I’m obsessed with this gym and would recommend it to anyone. Unlimited reformer Pilates classes included in the membership puts it above all boutique studios easily. Not to mention the unlimited choreographed cycling classes, boxing, hot pilates, hot yoga/sculpt/flow/restorative classes, and CS4 (a unique circuit training class I’m obsessed with) INCLUDED with full high quality gym equipment. I’ve been going for 2 months now and take 5 classes a week with weight lifting on the side, unbeatable price (200-250 a month) if you utilize all aspects the gym has to offer. Staff is constantly cleaning the facility and locker rooms to the point where I’m almost annoyed at their presence 🤣 I loveeee the cleanliness, lack of overcrowding, enthusiasm and very informative instructors. I would pay for the cleanliness and lack of crowding alone. Only cons are no pool or courts of any kind, it is on the smaller side for a gym but not a problem at all for me. I’ve been to Cyclebar, SoulCycle, GritCycle, etc. and this offers the same boutique experience plus soooo much more. Totally worth it 10/10 everyone should go here!

Overall clean facilities and equipment is almost always available, those are the only positive aspects of this place. The reality is, it tries really hard to be a fancy La fitness and doesn’t realize it failed. It has no pool, no basketball or racquetball courts, closes earlier than most gyms, and if you sign in at 735 to your class that starts at 735 you will likely not get in :)

The customer service and marketing here are... ambitious, if nothing else. I got a promo email saying I had 7 days to book a class and use a guest pass. Cute, right? Except apparently “7 days” includes the day the email was sent, so by the time I booked on what I thought was day 7, surprise! I was already too late. Joelle kindly informed me of this magical fairytale math.

Not sure who thought counting like that was intuitive, but I’ve had smoother experiences booking classes at Gritcycle and Barry’s while half-asleep. Honestly, if you enjoy confusion and disappointment with a side of passive-aggressive policy enforcement, this place might be your vibe. For me? Hard pass.

I’ve never had a gym membership that I’ve used more, I’ve been coming here for a year and have gone to almost 300 classes. Hang on to your waitlist- 99% of the time a spot will open up. I started as a hot yoga girly but the CS4 and reform classes have fully grown on me. Sauna is such a perk and locker rooms are always clean. Open gym has new and easy to use equipment. Staff is friendly & inviting and the teachers are the best in Long Beach. S/o Karen, Bobby, Sandi, Sunny, Erica, Alex, and Nitar! And new instructors like Johnny & Fabian. Highly recommend. Would love more time slots for Hot HIIT Sculpt so us 9-5ers could try it! Hot tip: park closer to Ralph’s for more open parking.

They ignored my request to cancel my membership.
I had signed up with my roommate and we put one card on file, as was advised by the associate that signed us up so that we could get a discount on the monthly rate.
When I attempted to cancel our memberships via email, I specifically stated that it was a request to cancel both linked memberships. They cancelled mine but still kept charging and refused to cancel my roommate's.
When attempting to resolve this in person they got defensive and were anything but helpful.
I had to go through my bank to get credited the amount that they wrongfully took. Now the dispute is between my bank and them.
If you want to go to a nice gym that doesn't pull weird games like this, try Iconix. Never had any issues there. I only switched to Club Studio because my roommate wanted to workout together but that was a mistake.

Really enjoy coming to this place to workout. It's a little more in terms of cost, but the vibe is so nice and everyone here is friendly and helpful. I feel like the value for me is being able to come in and get my workouts done without long periods of waiting in line to use equipment, as well as the trainers and instructors for classes and personal training being really top notch. I love the Yoga classes taught by Bobby and Sandi, as well as Sam's rebound class and Boxing and Spin classes as well. I have been at this gym for about 2 years now and I can say I've lost over 30lbs coming here in that time as well as made good friends (so it's great for physical and mental fitness especially if you are like me who would otherwise waste time on doomscrolling or playing Xbox for hours being the tech nerd I am). Oscar is my personal trainer and I highly recommend him if you need help losing weight. With his guidance I was able to fix my plantar fasciitis and get back into running, sprinting, doing pushups, pull-ups, squats, bench press and more - stuff I felt before I was no longer able to do at age 40. I definitely feel like I'm back to what I was able to do in college now thanks to his help and do it while being safe and avoiding injury at a consistent pace. In closing, if you workout at this gym I feel like you will want to be consistent anyway because it's such a nice and clean place to come to often. It's like enjoying a luxury experience every day, something akin to enjoying Starbucks but this actually makes you fit.

Club Studio is hands down one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to. The maintenance team is constantly working—you always see them wiping down machines and keeping everything spotless. The front desk staff has also been amazing; they’re friendly, helpful, and create a welcoming vibe every time I walk in.

One issue I’ve noticed, though, is the towel situation. Either they run out too often or the towels are in rough shape. Definitely something that needs improvement.

As for the classes—some of the trainers seriously deserve a raise. Huge shoutout to Alex F., Brie R., Sara A., Normary P., and especially Bobby W., who is easily one of the best instructors I’ve ever had. High energy, motivating, and just knows how to lead a killer class.

Yes, the membership is on the pricier side, but honestly, it’s worth it. You don’t have to deal with kids running around or an overcrowded gym, which makes the experience way more enjoyable.

Just moved to Long Beach a few months ago and we’ve been looking for a nice home gym to settle in. Tried out a couple other ones and decided to give Club Studio a shot and get a membership. Month 2 and we couldn’t be happier. Clean, professional, never packed. Everybody’s there to better themselves and the atmosphere is fantastic. Tried out the smoothie bar.. 10/10 delicious. Special shout out to Omid for giving us a tour and getting us started. He’s a rockstar employee, with a great attitude. Favorite gym I’ve ever been a part of and I don’t say that lightly.

Poor Communication and Unhelpful Management – Unfairly Charged

I had a frustrating experience with Club Studio, specifically with the operational manager, Ricky. I called ahead to cancel my membership. The staff member I spoke to assured me she could cancel it on her end and told me I was all set.

Despite that, I was still charged for the following month.

When I followed up with Ricky, he told me the membership could only be canceled in person or by the primary member through their app which was never communicated to me beforehand. He was unhelpful, dismissive, and put the blame on me instead of acknowledging the miscommunication on his staff’s part. I clearly asked during my call if the cancellation was complete, and was told yes. That should’ve been the end of it.

This is incredibly frustrating, especially since I acted based on the instructions given by their own staff. I’m now being charged for something I actively tried to cancel and they’re refusing to refund me.

Poor customer service, lack of accountability, and misinformation. Would not recommend.

$200 a month for a big clean new gym and the absolute worst customer service. No one at the front desk can help you with anything besides signing up and checking in. They will charge you for missing a class no matter what. But when you schedule an appointment for a body composition/personal trainer appointment, they will cancel with no notice and just inform you when you show up. Don’t schedule anything with Kevin- he didn’t show up twice to appointments that were scheduled and confirmed.

Unfortunately my experience with this gym has not been great. Main reason I joined was for the variety of classes. Classes are always fully booked. Typically you will find yourself on a waitlist. I was 2 minutes late for a class once (because parking is impossible on a Saturday morning) and was not let in and charged for it on top of the already expensive monthly fee. Staff is rude and never willing to accommodate. Experience is not worth the money in my opinion.

Beyond grateful that Club Studio exists— I mean, where else can you get 5 boutique studios in 1 place????? I’ve been an OG member since they first opened in Irvine and I have enjoyed watching them grow! The REFORM classes are my favorite and the main reason why I joined in the first place. The best instructors, IMO, are Natalie, Eleni, and Ashley. They truly know how to cue your body to get you into the right position to make every pilates move effective. You can tell they follow the pilates principles taught by Joseph Pilates to help strengthen the body but also prevent injury for newcomers. If I could, I would clone all 3 and only have them teach REFORM. My only wish is to see more of Natalie on the schedule— she is genuinely an asset to the reform team and would love to see her teach more days/times.

The woman that answered the phone would not stop rambling and reading every single piece of information off of the website. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and needed to go and asked her ma’am. Please just answer the yes or no question on whether or not I have to pay for this service And how it is related to LA fitness I don’t understand you didn’t explain it. Well you were confusing and I have to move on something to That degree, and I was called someone who yells and slandered front of whoever else was around her unprofessionally And rudely accused me of yelling and threatened to Mark “” my account which I found out isn’t even a thing they do lied to me and then hung up on me hard pass.

club studio was partner with LA fitness. this was a nicer gym with nice equipments, has better cycling class and better cycling bike. its not too far from CSULB and it just next door from ultra. their service is way better than LA fitness. only thing here, the membership is too princely and don't have enough classes to have compare to LA fitness but sometimes we need to realize that we need to explore something new to get people who are interested to join and that's LA fitness needs improvement. Club studio has better customer service for guests and members which is club studio is doing great job on that.

I know multiple LA fitness in California didn't update the machines, cycling, locker rooms, equipments and enough people to join due to what experience they saw. but club studio, locker rooms for both gender is important and its comes with combination letter and number. a lot of people coming which I like it so much.

it just a business needs to improve at LA fitness

anyway, club studio is way better than la fitness even they are merch.

it’s a nice gym but a few things i don’t like - the music. they play obnoxious pop music which wouldn’t be an issue cause of course everyone has headphones, but in the bathroom/ sauna the music is loud and annoying. also in the sauna you can hear fitness classes if they are going on.
so if they played music everyone can enjoy that would make it more enjoyable. or even better, playing calm/ soothing spa music in the bathroom.

Great gym if you have extra money. The machines are beautiful, new and clean. They have extra cushion that makes exercises feel extra comfortable. The gym is never packed, even at peak time. It seems like they also offer some amenities, but I never tried them. I did not sign up however because overall the price doesn't really match what you get. Gold's gym overall is way cheaper and offers about the same quality and the extras that Club studio does offer are not necessarily things I care for. The best perk however is being able to use any machine at any time because of how empty the place usually is but you can easily get that at Anytime Fitness, also for way less. Essentially, the better option that joining here is to get 2-3 different gym memberships such as Golds, Anytime, and EOS. Many perks, less than half the price. This gym is definitely just for people who have money and don't want to be around other people. But it is a nice gym.

ClubStudio is an absolute gem among gyms. The equipment and space are truly phenomenal, providing everything you could possibly need for a top-notch workout experience. The spacious, well-organized layout ensures you can move through your routine without any hassle, no matter how busy it gets. The changing rooms are fantastic—immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with every amenity you could want.

Kevin and his team go above and beyond to ensure every member receives personalized attention and guidance. They take the time to understand your goals, tailor workouts to your needs, and provide the kind of support and motivation that makes all the difference. 4.5 stars. Hot yoga classes here are excellent. While the mats here are provided, they rely on members wiping down the mats between classes. some people drip sweat all class and then swipe the surface with a damp baby wipe to “sanitize.” so I definitely recommend buying your own mat for hot yoga and Pilates classes. Can not say enough good things about the instructors though. Ashley who does hot yoga and Pilates should literally be getting paid 100s of thousands of dollars to private train celebrities . She is THAT GOOD. She literally changes her class every single time. And ALWAYS challenges you. She’s incredible. And her music is always perfect. I have so much respect for her and how much she puts into each class. She also has the perfect efficient way of explaining moves so you never have to look up to try to understand what she’s queuing. You can just follow her words and ease into a flow. I didn’t realize how important this was until I took other teachers. So grateful for Ashley . AND Nitar. She does NOT mess around and literally doesn’t waste 1second of class. She goes hard from the second the class door closes. So if you want an incredible thorough work out in your limited time- can’t recommend her tonight. Nitar has this relaxing way of speaking that makes you feel so relaxed even when your muscles are shaking and you. feel like you’re dying (in a good way). And take Sandy if you wanna laugh while you work out. She’s got the best fun drunk aunt energy. I mean that in the best way. She’ll have you dancing in class. And Bobby is great for all levels- he’ll offer challenging classes that are fun and can easily modified for beginners! Theres a very strict/unforgiving class late policy. So try to be early. Which is tough when you hit traffic. But some of the front desk folks are nice and will try to help you out. Overall the class instructors are what make this gym worth the price.

Classes and experience does not compare to Equinox, if that's what you are contemplating. Considering the price and service Equinox provides (mat clean-up, how crowded classes are, instructor quality), this place has a lot to improve on for charging $199/month for this location and $249 for all locations. Went to the pilates and candlelight yoga -- it's great the pilates is included in the price, but the machines are the basic ones with not as much padding and versatility. The candlelight class was extremely crowded and the mats smelt like BO. Not the experience I would expect for the price. I would say it's a luxury-look gym, but not luxury-feel gym.

The weight area/cardio is much less crowded (on the weekday, after work) when we tried it out; so... if you're not going classes and live in the LGB location, this might be a good place for you. BF said the workout benches were well-padded. Cardio machines looked nicer than EQX.

But, for those who love classes - I would say this is more of a cheaper tier than your EQX and Boutique studio classes, for quality and how crowded it is.

They have a separate premium service of $100 /month to use the massage chairs/redlight area, and then $199/month bundle to use the cryotherapy (ON TOP of the monthly you're paying). Really cool area, but not sure I'd pay that?

Not sure how Irvine is, but I wouldn't make the switch from EQX to here. Which I really wanted to, since they are opening locations in Sacramento

Manager seems really nice! Shoutout to him for his customer service -- would say that he was much more welcoming than the EQX staff.

I would not recommend going to this gym in the sense the price is very gouging. Why pay this much when you can go pay less at Gold Gym and still receive the same features for the most part. Plus they were not attentive at all. When I entered the premises to sign up for a membership no one approached me not even the front desk clerk. I had even called before hand to ask if I can speak to anyone and nothing I gave them multiple attempts to be successful it did not work.

Update: started out good, but now they're cramming extra seats into yoga classes so you have about 10 to 12" between you and the people around you which means you can't do 20% of the practice without running into your neighbor. They're cutting corners instead of adding classes to meet demand. Time for a new gym. I would stear clear of this one.

Wow! What a dream gym. I've never but to Equinox before, but I imagine it to be something like that. Since the membership includes access to other Esporta (to compete with Crunch/Planet Fitness/EOS membership pricing) and LA Fitness (to compete with 24 Hour pricing) locations, I think this is a luxury version of LA Fitness to compete with places like Equinox. I was told that the other location is in Irvine. The Irvine location though has a pool, basketball court, and eucalyptus towels which are perfect after classes like cycling. I also heard that the membership is less there than this location. I know they probably are still adding fixes to their waitlist system, as well. However, they offer C4, boxing, rebound, hot yoga, and pilates for classes here. The facilities and equipment are so new and clean. I love it! There's so much space on the floor, and lots of equipment so it'd be rare to be waiting on anyone.
The booking system is easy. I was able to book myself a class a week ahead. It is recommended that you book whatever class at least a week ahead, as classes fill up rather quickly. During my visit, I got a tour of the spot through Jasmine. She was through, friendly, and sweet. I started off my gym day with a minute in the Cryotherapy Chamber. It is recommended that your body goes down 20 degrees and that you do it for 2 minutes minimum. I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never even done a cold plunge before either to compare, so I just decided on doing it for a minute. They offer you earmuffs and mittens. It is also suggested that you wear less clothing inside.
I took my first Rebound class, which is offered here. It was super fun! Definitely a workout, especially for your calves and thighs. The rebound class is in the same class as the hot yoga class. For the class, they provide clean towels, ankle weights, and regular weights. Definitely worked up a sweat! My calves were already feeling it, so I decided to hit up the Recovery Lab and try out the Red Light Therapy. You get about 10 minutes in each stall. You are also provided shades to protect your eyes. After that, I wanted to try the Hydro Massage. You get about 15 minutes for that, as well. And to finish off my recovery, I wanted to try out the Percussive Therapy. Very different, but I really think this kept my calves from being sore the next day because I didn't feel sore at all in my thighs and calves. From my understanding, Red Light Therapy and Cryotherapy are separate charges that aren't included in the monthly membership.
I decided to do some cardio on the treadmills. Love the treadmills! You can transport yourself to another country like the streets of Barcelona. All the machines were easy to new and very new. I finished off my gym workout by dressing into just a towel and heading into the Himalayan Salt Sauna. They provide little disposable slippers in case you forgot your own at home. I showered off, got change, and was able to use the Dyson to blow dry my hair. There's also a little Beaming cafe that provides smoothies, coffee, and bowls if you're feeling a little hungry or need a snack to hold you over. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my whole experience. If I lived closer, I think this would be a great option for me. However, I think sticking to my Active & Fit pass and taking classes through ClassPass are just better for me for the time being.

My fiancé and I joined this gym prior to its official opening, and we've really embraced the positive aspects of our membership. We thoroughly enjoy the variety of classes offered, with a special shout-out to the Saturday ride class led by Ryss R and the noon Reform class with Julie L.

However, it's worth mentioning that there seems to be a recurring theme among employees comparing the facilities here to the Long Beach and Irvine locations, highlighting the differences in amenities. It would be great if the focus could shift more towards the unique strengths of our own gym.

Another point to note is the restriction on using equipment in the studio rooms outside of class hours. It would be more convenient for members if there were more flexibility in accessing these facilities independently.

Overall, we're pleased with our gym experience, but addressing these concerns could further enhance the overall satisfaction for all members.

Beautiful club, great staff and amenities. I joined for pilates, reform, rebound and yoga. Yoga teaching staff is A+ . Rebound - there are not enough time slots but it is sooo fun and I’m hopeful the staff will add more. I have only seen 1 hot pilates class on the schedule. There are so many yoga classes offering more time slots in mat pilates would balance it out and make it not feel like I joined a yoga studio. The reformer classes are very beginner level. I am hoping that they offer more advanced classes. If you have done a “Be Fit Modern Pilates” class at PCH &2nd these classes are not comparable. They are fine if you want to add on a stretch after doing another class. I’m hoping the reformer classes improve quickly. I understand they just opened, but their marketing is centered around studios. It is definitely the nicest club I have belonged to, but also the most expensive to be fair.

Came with a friend on a Sunday, and immediately signed up on Monday. Jasmine was the one that sold me on the membership. I was on the fence but she answered every question I had asked with no hesitation. Super happy with how the customer service is and the front desk staff. They are all so helpful and seem happy for the most part. The only thing I would reccomend is maybe some of the personal trainers to come introduce themselves. They did at Equinox so I just assumed the same. But no matter this gym is worth every penny.

The gym has everything you want, need and think you could have. Love my functional training section, weight lifting section, rehab with red light, aqua massage and norditrack lymphadic pressure and finish with a very hot sauna. Javions boxing class is my go to, and love every staff member.
