I switched to this gym a little under a year ago and it was a great choice. Its so nice and clean and the staff is great. However, one aspect that deserves recognition is the Reform classes with Amy. Her classes are always so fun, yet challenging and rewarding.

She is always looking out for everyone to do their best and to do the workout properly with her fun, personable humor. The class feels more like a group of friends working out which makes it extremely easy to get to the gym on “those days” lol.

All in all, a great place to get your workout, but hats off to Amy. Even if you have not done a reform class, Amy will not disappoint and you will want to continue taking her classes. If she had more classes available, that would be even better as her classes fill up QUICKLY, CONSISTENTLY.

I’ve been going to Club Studio for almost a year, and I absolutely love their Reform class. I usually take Amy’s class every week, and she’s truly a gem! Her sessions are always challenging in the best way — exactly what I need to stay on track with my fitness goals.

I’ve seen so much improvement in my fitness goals thanks to Amy. Every week, I feel myself getting stronger, more confident, and more motivated to push harder.

Even with more than 20 people in the room, Amy always finds time to correct everyone’s form, which makes such a difference. She not only gives clear instructions but also demonstrates each move herself, making it easy to follow along and stay motivated.

I always get an incredible workout in her class, and I even plan my schedule around her teaching times. Her classes fill up fast, and for good reason! My only wish is that she could teach more sessions throughout the week.

I am leaving an excellent review for this gym, first off it is beautiful! Everything is so brand new, clean, and neat. The workers here are all very nice and helpful and I want to give a special shout out to Christopher, He is one of the front desk workers. He helped me with the whole membership sign up process and he was very informative, and made the process as smooth as possible. He also gifted me a welcome gift bag which was a kind gesture. The classes which includes (Pilates, yoga, CS4, cycling, reform) are all included along with the free weights of the gym. This gym also has a recovery section which includes (red light therapy, compression, massage chairs, cryotherapy) at an additional cost but very worth it! The saunas at this gym is one of the best parts, it is spacious and very clean and beautifully designed and it doesn’t smell muggy or like sweat in there like it does at other gyms. All in all if you want a gym where you feel fancy, taken care of and have everything in 1 place this is the gym for you!

I have been a member of Club Studio for 6 months now. I love the classes! I am in my seventies and never thought id be taking weekly boxing classes but it’s now a staple in my routine! Sebastian and Nina are my faves. Great facility that is always clean with staff that are friendly and ready to go the extra mile for you. Also highly recommend the reform classes- I do them at another studio too and pay WAY more. Love that it’s all included at CS!
Wide variety of class times and class offerings!

First time ever signing up for a gym and I couldn’t be happier with Club Studio! The place is brand new, super clean, and the staff is so nice and welcoming.

I’ve tried different classes and my favorites are Yoga Restore, Yoga Flow, and Ride.
Special shoutout to Alex for Ride — she’s incredible! Her classes are addictive, challenging, and her words make it feel like both a workout and therapy. Also love Chloe D for yoga — her calming voice and amazing teaching make every class feel restorative.

So glad I joined!

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to, and I visit many gyms worldwide. The space is beautifully designed, highly functional, and easy to navigate, with an open layout and thoughtful details from the gym floor to the lockers, sauna, and showers. The equipment is top-notch, and the overall experience is excellent. Highly recommended!

I don’t think I’ve ever written a negative review before, but this one felt absolutely necessary.

I also usually don’t take negative reviews to heart — but as a professional, certified HR manager who creates policies for a living, the way Club Studio handled our cancellation process was deeply concerning. And after reading other negative reviews on here, I can confidently say: they are spot on.

We submitted our cancellation nearly five full business days before the billing date (July 28), following Club Studio’s own policy that states:

“If notice is postmarked within 5 business days, you may be billed once more. If this occurs, we will refund that additional billing.”

Despite this, we were still charged (which at first didn’t worry me so much since the policy states we would be refunded) but we had to chase down a refund through multiple emails, phone calls, and follow-ups. When we finally received confirmation, it only reflected one of our two memberships being canceled.

When I reached out to regional manager Letty Meza, she framed the refund as a “one-time courtesy.” That was offensive. It wasn’t a favor — it was Club Studio’s obligation, plain and simple.

We had every intention of using our paid-in-advance month through August 28. But after this exhausting experience, we didn’t even feel comfortable returning to the gym.

We also made four reasonable requests:
1. Full confirmation that both memberships were canceled
2. A refund for the improper charge
3. Compensation for the months the sauna was broken (often for a full week or more — repeatedly)
4. Compensation for the remaining time we’re no longer using

Club Studio made zero effort to take responsibility or make things right.

The sauna was the primary reason we joined and later canceled — and it was down so frequently that it felt like false advertising. Meanwhile, we were being charged premium prices for broken amenities and incomplete service.

Between the lack of transparency, the dismissive attitude, and the inaccessible cancellation process, this gym has a long way to go in terms of accountability and basic customer service.

The one bright spot was Rachel — she was always professional, helpful, and genuinely kind. I hope leadership takes a cue from her, because nothing else about this experience was acceptable.

Oh and like someone else mentioned on yelp - we also had to pay $50 a month to freeze my husband’s membership due to surgery despite it being for a medical reason.

I love the facilities at this club and was excited to take advantage of the Pilates Reformer classes. I have also taken one Pilates Mat class. I’m so disappointed with both the volume of the music in the classes as well as the type of music played. I wonder if the club would consider surveying their guests to identify whether or not most guests prefer the high volume and EDM style music that seems to be prevalent in the classes. I love the weight machines and equipment but will not sign up for another class. For that reason, I’m considering canceling membership. Very disappointing!
Thanks!

The best gym I’ve ever been to!
Brand new facilities with an unlimited selection of equipment. Free classes included : CS4, boxing, Pilates, and more.

There’s also a wellness center with cryotherapy, red light therapy, and massage machines. And the sauna? Hands down the nicest I’ve ever seen, even better than the one in the wellness center.

Even during peak hours, it never feels crowded, and there’s always equipment available.

Considering that Equinox is more expensive and charges extra for classes, the choice is clear.

The staff is incredibly friendly too. Highly recommended!

I’ve been going here for four months and highly recommend it! My experience doing personal training (specifically lifting weights) with Marissa O. has exceeded my expectations. She’s a fantastic coach, asks great questions to help understand what’s happening with my body, is very motivational, and keeps our sessions flowing. I’m stronger and without strain or injury because of her. She pushes me to add weight and I’ve gained the confidence I need to lift on my own on the days I’m solo. The club is a very comfortable and friendly environment for all shapes and sizes. I also love the recovery room and use it almost each time I go.

I’m a regular CS4 class attendee at Club Studio and generally enjoy the workouts—until the last two weeks, when a sub instructor named Keri took over. During her classes, the music volume reached an outrageous 95–106 dB. That’s not just loud—it’s medically dangerous. At those levels, even a few minutes can lead to permanent hearing damage.

I politely asked Keri to lower the volume, but she refused. When I brought this to Club Studio’s attention, their solution? Offering earplugs. That’s not a solution—it’s an excuse to let instructors ignore basic health standards and disrespect members’ well-being.

It’s unacceptable for a professional fitness facility to knowingly allow unsafe conditions in their classes. Until Club Studio enforces a safe, respectful environment, I can’t recommend this place to anyone who values their health—or their hearing.

Be very careful and watch charges on your card. I was charged for my last month.
Remember that you pay for first and last month when signing up. I gave them more then enough notice and despite consistent efforts by me, I have yet to get my last month fee back. It’s to the point of absurdity. Ive spent hours at this point. They are scam artists,Bamboozler, used card salesmen.

05/06/25 update
Many people I know and I have been having a lot of issues with their no grace period policy for classes. It’s honestly ridiculous to have no grace period at all. If a class starts at 6:30, you better be here at 6:29 cause that door is getting closed. So many people complain but the response is “it’s our policy”. You’d think they would be more accommodating for the amount of money we are paying for a membership. Their “accommodation” is just looking into adding more evening classes, but the in demand fun classes like hot Pilates or rebound are never on that line up. And that still won’t fix
the “no grace period” issue cause you better be teleporting here after work or no class for you. Most late classes are some version of a yoga class, which I personally find too boring.
There have been a lot of changes with reform instructors and no consistent schedule for the last month which makes scheduling classes even more difficult. Most reform instructors teach at the beginner level. I also hate how many people are squeezed into the sweat studio, you might as well share a mat with your neighbor.
Some staff at the front desk got attitude problems, which is funny given that this is a front facing business where customer service does matter.
Most of the issues people are complaining are so easily fixable, but they choose to ignore it to “honor” their policy, which would cost them customers in the future.

Original review (before they started closing doors and wasting peoples time):
I’m obsessed with this place! They offer a great variety of classes and all of the instructors make it so fun that you don’t even notice how fast an hour goes by. The gym has all brand new equipment and no wait to use it ever. This place has truly become my second home and revived my passion for working out! I highly recommend this gym!

Fancy gym with seemingly nice equipment. But all the machines are from technogym, it's like they know it's expensive but didn't do research into whether it's the best machine for given exercise. For example, their hip thrusts machines are very awkward to use, I couldn't get to the bottom of the movement given the machine limitation. Their abductor/adductor machine also suffer from the same problem. And the lat pull machine doesn't let you adjust the knee pad, with only one grip option, super unfriendly to shorter people. They have no platform and they have warnings everywhere against making noise dropping weight. So high effort deadlift is no go.(The staff also warned me that this gym is not for power lifters). Strangely they have expensive Eleiko plates at the squat rack but you'd have to walk all the way to the other side of the gym to get a change plate.

They have nice amenities so if your goal is to feel fancy this gym will be the one for you. But even then as I checked in a lady was complaining about the bathroom cleanliness issue.

The price point doesn't justify the equipment quality if your goal is to optimize your exercise experience.

If you’re considering joining Club Studio in Walnut Creek, do yourself a favor and ask for Jordan when you walk through the doors. From the moment I stepped in, Jordan provided an unparalleled five-star luxury concierge experience that went beyond just great customer service. It felt like a white-glove VIP introduction to wellness.

I originally came in just to check the gym out, but Jordan’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for fitness and helping people completely sold me on the spot. He took me on a full tour, breaking down each studio space and its benefits in a way that felt engaging, informative, and inspiring. His approach was zero pressure, all passion. He wasn’t just trying to sell a membership. He truly wanted me to understand the value of what Club Studio offers.

Even after signing up, Jordan continued to go above and beyond. I had an issue setting up my app for check-in, and instead of brushing it off, he took full charge of the situation, doing everything possible to make sure I had a seamless experience. It was like having my own personal concierge making sure everything was perfect.

It’s clear that Club Studio made an exceptional hire in Jordan. He’s not just a sales rep. He’s an asset to the gym, the brand, and every new member who walks through those doors. If you’re thinking about joining, make sure to ask for Jordan to give you the tour. You’ll see exactly why Club Studio is on another level and why Jordan is hands down the best person to introduce you to it.

Five stars all the way.

I’ve been a member here since they first opened and I think it’s been great so far. We signed up before they were open and everything is as they explained it would be. The equipment is top notch and the weight room has a great layout and flow. I love the stretching areas that are all supplied with foam rollers, slant boards, tune up balls and resistance bands and mobility sticks. The weight floor itself has a huge selection of free weights and Technogym equipment but an also a giant variety of lifting bars for the rack area. I’ve only used the cardio and weight room sections so I cannot speak of any experiences for the classes. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the facilities are immaculate. Sauna and shower area are spacious and always clean. It’s a great location for me.

The location is convenient, and the facility is clean and well-maintained, which I appreciate. While it’s a newer club aiming for a high-end experience, customer service can feel defensive rather than attentive. The recovery area closes too early, and the lack of a steam room or pool is disappointing. The oversized locker room showers could have been designed more efficiently (lots of wasted space). Also, class availability—especially yoga—could be improved. Despite these drawbacks, it’s a significant upgrade from most of the smaller gyms and fitness centers around, like 24hr fitness.

This gym has fantastic equipment, clean facilities, and a great variety of classes. The staff is friendly, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. It’s a great place to get a solid workout in—if you don’t have kids.

The biggest downside, and honestly a huge disappointment, is the lack of a daycare. In an area where many parents are looking for ways to stay active while managing childcare, it’s surprising that this gym doesn’t offer any childcare services. A daycare would make a world of difference for parents who struggle to find time for fitness.

If they added a daycare, this gym would be perfect. Until then, it’s not the most accessible option for parents who need a little support balancing fitness and family.

We are PSYCHED and very lucky to have Club Studio as our new local gym. The entire facility is beautiful and spotless.
They literally have every piece of top of the line TechnoGym workout equipment, and every band, ball and free weight you could ask far. The best part - you can find all of the equipment in its proper place every workout, instead of being left in the wrong place like our old gym in Concord.
Their class studios are gorgeous and Keri’s CS4 class is the perfect HIIT class for conditioning. A fun variety every workout and GREAT music.
Their recovery area has been a huge bonus for an older athlete like me. I was fortunate to use their localized cryotherapy treatments to accelerate my recovery from a heel bursitis injury. Maria in the recovery area truly treats me like a member of the family.
The managers and front desk team are friendly and helpful at every visit. There are a wide variety of clients and fitness levels, so that everyone feels welcome and challenged at their own level.
So proud to call Club Studio my home gym.

Been going to Club Studio for a few months now and I love it! I love the classes, specifically Pilates reformer class- Amy is an amazing instructor! Also love using the sauna, the facilities are so clean too!
For the reviews commenting that the gym caters to 9-5 schedule…. I think they’re forgetting that’s the hours most of Americans work lol. Also, membership dues and costs are very clear… it clearly states how much basic package is and how much premium is if you want the recovery/cryo there’s never been any confusion on my end. If I had to pick one thing- would love if they could add some more amenities in the bathrooms (ex: face wipes, cotton pads etc) Overall great gym!

I wanted to give Club Studio some time to iron out the expected kinks before writing a review, understanding that new gyms often face challenges at the start. Unfortunately, my experience so far has been a mix of pros and cons, with the negatives currently outweighing the positives.

The Pros:
- The equipment is brand new, and I regularly see staff cleaning it, which is reassuring for hygiene.
- The gym offers great amenities, which is a nice touch. However, many of these come at an extra cost.

The Cons:
1. Misleading Membership Promises:
- During the initial sign-up process, we were told that as "founding members," certain benefits like the recovery package would be included in our membership. However, on opening day, we learned this wasn’t true, and we were asked to pay an additional $59.99 per person to access recovery services. This bait-and-switch approach feels deceptive and left a sour taste.

2. Family Add-On Rate Discrepancy:
- Another misrepresentation was regarding the family add-on rate. We were assured that family members could be added to our account for $149 each. When we tried to do so, the rate turned out to be $159. This inconsistency is frustrating and feels like another broken promise.

3. Recovery Room Issues:
- The recovery room's operating hours are inconsistent and poorly communicated. On some weekends, it closes as early as 3 PM, while other times, it’s open until 5 PM. There is no clear signage or posted schedule to inform members.
- I also had a poor experience with staff in this area. The door to the recovery room was closed (but unlocked), and since there were no signs or instructions, I entered to find someone to assist me. Within seconds, an employee aggressively confronted me, raising their voice and speaking in a condescending manner, stating that I should ring a doorbell if I see that the door is closed. There were no instructions or indications to do so, and this interaction could have been handled far more professionally.

4. Stretching Area Support:
- We were told there would be a designated staff member available to assist with the stretching equipment, but this has not been the case. It’s another unfulfilled promise that adds to the growing list of disappointments.

I truly wanted to love this gym, especially as a founding member, but the repeated miscommunications, inconsistencies, and poor handling of certain situations have made it difficult to fully enjoy my experience. While I appreciate the new equipment and amenities, the lack of transparency and professionalism needs to be addressed for me to consider this gym worth the membership cost.

I hope Club Studio takes this feedback constructively and works to resolve these issues, as there is potential for improvement.

Club Studio in Walnut Creek is an absolute game-changer. If you’re considering a high-end gym in the area, this is the place to go. The staff, members, and trainers are all incredible—friendly, respectful, and genuinely welcoming. The positive atmosphere here is unmatched.

The classes and amenities are top-notch, making every visit a great experience. While it may not have a cold plunge like LifeTime, it’s worth noting that LifeTime’s cold plunge is out of order 99% of the time anyway. Club Studio more than makes up for it with its excellent facilities and, most importantly, a professional and inclusive group of staff members who truly care about the members.

If you’re looking for a gym that delivers quality, respect, and a fantastic community, Club Studio is the clear winner. Highly recommended!

Club Studio has excellent facilities and offers a variety of fun, engaging classes, but unfortunately, it falls short in accommodating members’ needs and showing flexibility.
1. Strict Late Policy: If you’re even 5 minutes late to a class, you won’t be allowed in and will still be charged—no exceptions. For example, I hit traffic due to an unforeseen accident and was still charged. A bit more understanding or leniency would go a long way.
2. Inflexible Policies: I left my jacket in a class and couldn’t retrieve it immediately because another session had started. I explained I was in a hurry and needed my jacket, especially since it was raining and so windy outside and I was in a tank top. They refused, saying they didn’t want to disrupt the class and I would have to wait until class ended. While I respect the need to maintain a good environment for participants, there has to be a more practical solution for situations like this.

Overall, while the gym offers great workouts, the rigidity and lack of consideration for member circumstances really detract from the experience. Flexibility and empathy go hand-in-hand with good service, and this gym needs improvement in that area.

Very nice facility. Clean, new. If you’re just looking for a basic workout before or after work, it is great. I really like the private stretch/floor mat areas. Parking is easy. The staff are friendly, but not well informed. Reformer classes are included in the membership. Very few classes are offered from 12-4. Staff said they cater to people who come before and after work- excluding the retired or remoter workers who want to avoid Ygnacio Valley road traffic. If you’re adding a member, or adding spa services, the price jumps up considerably. What this gym lacks is: a pool, bar/lounge area, workspace for remote workers, free massage chairs, access to class rooms when not in use, a large cafe area with outdoor seating, social events, full spa services, body composition scale, chiropractor.

I really did love this gym. I signed up and unfortunately had to cancel my membership and demand a refund.

I'll start with the positives: it is a beautiful gym! It has a ton of equipment and machines that other gyms in the area do not. They have hot yoga, pilates, boxing, spin and a crossfit type class. Tons of free weights, multiple platforms for squatting/benching. A lot of cardio equipment, an area to stretch and so on.

Locker rooms are spacious and gorgeous with great lighting.

I wanted this to be my new gym SO bad. I signed on for a membership and thought all was well!

Well...2 days into my membership a woman comes up to me and says gym bags are not allowed on the gym floor. That's literally on the floor but also on your person. You are limited to your phone and a water bottle.

FOR THE AVERAGE GYM GOER THIS IS OKAY. However, I am not the average gym goer and I have equipment that I need to use during certain lifts such as: my lifting belt, my knee sleeves, wrist wraps, wrist straps, chalk, and a few other warm up items.

It would be impossible for me to keep everything in a locker and go back and forth to grab what I needed for each exercise. That is a waste of time and messes with my rest timing.

The thing is...if someone told me this rule from the beginning, I would not have joined!

It was not mentioned during the tour, it was not mentioned when I had a day pass where me and a friend BOTH had our gym bags on the floor, AND it wasn't explained when I signed up.

This rule is silly and sure it "keeps things looking clean", but it is wiping out a HUGE amount of people who take training seriously. I had 3 others that I had convinced to join, but now they're not SIMPLY because of this rule.

It's truly a shame! Thankfully he cancelled and refunded without a big push back but man, I was so excited for this gym!

We wanted to check out the gym so we walked in and just wanted to quickly look at the weight area. They told us we needed to sign a waver and/or do a temporary pass. I was flabbergasted. I’ve been to gyms where theyll give us a quick tour and the trainer or rep will convince us as we walk the gym together to sign up for a weekly pass or day pass. It was bad service to tell us we cant just peak around real quick without signing up and giving our info. I literally just wanted to look at the weight room real quick. The worker couldve just showed me real quick! I was annoyed lol for $180 a month.. get more generous workers. If its “protocol” then tell the surrounding gyms to follow it too. Because ive never been told i need to sign a waver just to look inside real quick.

Not sure if the "one star" review from "C" is legitimate because I had quite the opposite experience. I too enrolled with Kerry (she didn't even spell her name correctly so...). She was professional and explained the founder's rate as well as the add-ons (cryo and red-light therapy). If you go elsewhere, cryo is typically $50+ per session. If you upgrade at CS, you get unlimited cryo and red light for around $150/mo. To think you would get access to a brand-new club, plus unlimited cryo for $160/mo you are either trying to scam the system, or you have a serious language barrier. In either case, you shouldn't be leaving negative reviews.

And by the way, I was also a member of Bay Club and she is definitely not telling the truth about the price (see the pic). Base membership is $240 plus $115 to add an additional member, plus $40 for group classes, which is $395 for two people, NOT $140 to share a membership. With CS, all classes are included in the base rate. You'll just pay extra for red-light and cryo. Wish Google and other review sites would fact check these people. Guess that's our job.

Now on to the club. It's brand new and beautiful. My former club was also nice, but it was ALWAYS busy, and more expensive. Just got back from a workout at Club Studio and I didn't have to search around for equipment, and everything is clean and new.

The staff is friendly and the bathrooms don't stink either - my pet peeve.

This is a review for the sales rep who enrolled me, my husband and a friend that I referred under the lie that everything in the gym was included in the membership like red light and cryotherapy. Please make sure to read the contract and what is checked because we made the mistake to trusted her (Karrie) and we are now having to pay extra for something she repeatedly said was included. I found out stoping by to the preview center and talking to someone that apparently is more honest than her. She doesn’t even respond my emails or have the courtesy to call me to at least apologize for lying. Bay club allows you to share membership and cost is 140 including pickleball , recovery center, sauna, beautiful pool, etc. I will be canceling my husband and daughter since they were interested in the recovery center mostly.
