I love the convenient location and the exceptionally friendly, caring staff. They make the environment welcoming every time I visit. I do hope the facility receives updates soon, especially considering the high monthly cost, as many areas feel outdated. One drawback is dealing with some older, affluent regulars who can be quite entitled and intrusive. They often monopolize equipment without regard for others waiting, which can be frustrating. Overall, while the gym has potential and great employees, I agree that members are currently overcharged for what is offered. Improvements would make the experience far more enjoyable and better aligned with the price.

I’ve been bringing my 2.5-year-old son here since he was about 8 weeks old, and our experience with the Kids Club has been nothing short of wonderful. He absolutely loves coming to the gym and is always greeted so warmly by the amazing staff. He often comes home proudly showing me his drawings and little art projects — and, of course, he loves snack time too!

I recently started bringing my new 7-week-old son as well, and the team was just as excited to welcome him. Every visit, they take the time to share how the day went — what my son did, how he interacted with other children, and any fun moments from his time there. It’s clear they genuinely care about the kids’ safety, happiness, and overall well-being.

This gym has been an absolute lifesaver for my mental health since becoming a mom. It’s such a relief knowing my children are safe, happy, and well cared for while I get a little time to recharge. I can’t recommend their childcare services enough — you truly won’t be disappointed.

Love the location, very friendly and caring employees!! I am hopeful that in the near future the facility will be updated, especially for the amount paid monthly. It is pretty outdated. Be aware of the older rich regulars who are very entitled and do not mind their own business. They even over utilize equipment without the consideration of others waiting. They denied my boyfriend’s guest pass and showed big attitude when they knew that he was just visiting and automatically assumed that he would not become a member. Mind you, clubsports is everywhere and is connected to LA fitness. Today you lose a long time customer, two actually. The club is dirty and the management is laughable. Very Disappointed with ClubSport San Ramon’s Swim Program

My son has been taking private swim lessons at ClubSport San Ramon, and I’m extremely disappointed with the way the program is run. There are several issues that reflect poor management and unfair business practices.

🔴 Unfair Billing Practices: They have repeatedly double-counted swim lessons, charging us for sessions that didn’t actually happen. In one instance, the instructor cancelled the class, yet they still counted it as a completed lesson. When I questioned it, I received no reasonable explanation.

🔴 Last-Minute Cancellations: Over the past 3 months, there have been at least 4 occasions where our lessons were cancelled with only a few hours’ notice due to instructor unavailability. This not only disrupts our schedule but also shows a lack of planning and accountability. On one occasion, we showed up at the club only to be told that the instructor hadn’t come in – and no one had even bothered to inform us in advance.

🔴 One-Sided Policies: What’s worse is their strict and unfair rescheduling policy. When we needed to reschedule a class, we were told we must give at least 24 hours’ notice or risk losing the session entirely. Apparently, this policy doesn’t apply to them, as they’ve repeatedly cancelled on us at the last minute with no consequence on their end.

I expected better from a facility that charges premium rates. Unfortunately, the disorganization, lack of communication, and inconsistency in enforcing policies have made this experience incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend their swim program to anyone looking for a reliable and professionally managed environment.

This review is regarding the Kids Club-

I’ve been taking my 2.5 year old son here since he was roughly 8 weeks old. Our experience with the Kids Club has been nothing short of amazing. My son is always so excited to go to the gym and he is greeted so happily by the guys and girls that work there. He frequently comes home with drawings and other artwork, and he loves snack time there too. I now have another 7 week old son I get to bring as well, and the employees were very excited to meet him too.

They always give me a run down of what they did that day and how my son behaved with other children. They seem very vested in ensuring the children are safe, entertained, and taken care of.

This gym has been an absolute godsend for my mental health after having kids. It’s such a great feeling knowing my kids are safe and very well cared for while I get some time to myself. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed using their childcare services.

Thank you ClubSport and thank you for the wonderful employees you hire. Thank you for taking the best care of my favorite little people!

Extremely poor service, no one at the cafe but multiple employees at the front desk. I asked for help no one offered to assist other than press a bell. I looked around for the bell all the while the three employees are watching me.
Came back to the front desk and was totally ignored. Called and asked to speak with the manager was transferred to someone Nick, all he said was the bell is by the credit card machine but I had a bad day today and am not in the mood. I cannot believe that’s the way their manager speaks to their clients. Why would I renew my membership here?

Don't join this club. The customer service is beyond terrible. I have spoken to three billing people and have been sending emails since October 2024 to cancel my membership and they are still billing me. Its not a mistake or an accident, its intentionally predatory and fraudulent. Today, I opened a dispute with my credit card company.

I was visiting from out of town and was able to buy a multi-day pass (Thank you, Holly). The classes (yoga, body pump, core) were fabulous. The teachers are top notch. The outdoor pool was heated just right for lap swimming. Locker rooms are clean and the clientele friendly.

Obnoxious general manager and greedy establishment.

I used to be a member earlier this year and when I went to join back today, they wanted to charge me enrollment fee of $100. I had already paid enrollment earlier this year ($200) and now they wanted it again just to restart my membership.
Seems beyond greedy to push a button and re-enable a membership.

When I went and talked to the general manager and asked what is the logic of charging enrollment fee again since I was a member there until May this year, the person goes “you should have never left”. The rude and obnoxious attitude was a huge turnoff.

If you’re debating on here or bayclub GO WITH BAYCLUB it’s the same price and this is super close to me, however, bay club is worth the drive in my opinion. The amenities are nicer. Pool ant bay club way nicer it’s not predominantly lanes (here it’s only lanes and then there’s a kiddy pool. So tanning is hard I imagine. Also bay club has a cabana next to the pool u can get food and drinks. The staff at bay club is more nice and willing to help. Also, the classes offered here are mainly just body pump and body combat. I was told there was yoga and sadly not. I also was disappointed there was no CrossFit classes or more core classes (they have some). I joined here last month mainly because of location. I went in for the first time today and had a question about a sign I saw outside the boxing area they made me feel stupid. Acting like what are you talking about. I felt gaslight so apologized and said I must have misread the sign I thought it was something I had seen online. Then they are like oh you mean the suspension training which I had just literally stated. They just say it’s only available during boxing classes with no further elaboration. They don’t have printable schedules I need to download an app & I have so many already. The flooring upstairs looks like they stole it from someone’s grandpas house. Machines are dirty and I’ve yet to see anyone walk by to clean (at bayclub they do all the time and hand u a towel if u need). I mainly just see staff upfront judging people walking by. I see why there’s separate ownership now, different standards by far.

It’s a nice gym with lots of amenities but it’s starting to show its age. Clubsport was built in 1989 and it shows. I really wanted to join this gym but I couldn’t justify the price. While it is a better gym in almost every way over 24 hour fitness, it’s not worth nearly 9 times the price on a monthly basis and that’s with the new year promotion where they are waiving the $300 initiation fee they normally charge.

Good gym, but overpacked with novel machines and not enough basic benches and floor space. They should knock out a squash court or two and expand the gym with more basic equipment while thinning out some of the more esoteric stuff.

The common areas have Fox News on TV constantly and the management won’t enact a policy to curtail news programming in general.

Ultimately this creates a space not safe from politics and makes it difficult to focus on a workout.

Has everything (gym, pool, classes, sports, etc) under one roof and very well maintained (although the interiors are getting a bit dated and needs an update).

I had initially joined a few years ago to be able to play tennis, but courts were hard to find since they are used for classes by a tennis academy. And when I had setup gym training sessions, the trainer didn’t show up a couple of times. I then cancelled the membership and more recently decided to give it a try again and enrolled to be able to do tennis training for my kids. Few days in, they said we can’t train here with our coach and only have to use their partner academy. This happened despite confirming with them before enrolling that I can bring my own coach who was also a member. Very unprofessional service given how much they charge.

Ever since I joined CSSR in 2018, I have had problems with billing. About 1 month after my family and I joined, they lost my paperwork and had to have me come in just to re-sign my membership papers.

Then in January 2019, they stopped billing my account and did not notify me until April 2019 to bill my account for over $1259 in a single month. No apology. Just excuses.

Today, I found out that my membership had been cancelled on the 14th of February because I aged out of the family plan. I received no calls, no emails. The account handler said that someone had sent a letter in the mail, but I have yet to receive anything. I only found out when I went in to workout at night and was denied entry. Once again, I did not receive any apologies. Just more excuses.

This billing department is a nightmare. I was okay with paying for a separate plan for myself, but I am not okay with my membership being canceled without my notice. I am looking back on my membership history and am seeing very inconsistent billing that I will need to address in the next few days.

CSSR has made a huge error for the 3rd time with my account, so I recommend anyone who does not want to deal with an incompetent billing department to find another gym.

TLDR; Billing has no clue how to manage accounts properly. Find a gym with much better customer service - especially if you are too busy to fix someone else's mistakes.

You get best bang for your buck here. Lots of group exercises. You just need to bring yourself here everyday and be sure to get fit. We had a family membership and got 3 kid fit classes with the package which is nice. Only gripe is that the kidfit classes gets filled up quickly and you will be left with no option. Otherwise the management and the fellow members are friendly and don't judge you.
