I’ve been taking classes at CORE40 Noe-Mission for three years now, and it’s made such a difference in my strength and posture. The workouts are challenging in the best way — always pushing me but never overwhelming. The instructors here really make it special: Candice, Bridget, and Valerie each bring their own great energy, great taste in music, attention to form, and encouragement. They keep every class engaging and fun. I always leave feeling stronger and more balanced. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a consistent, effective, and supportive workout community!

Rudest instructor I’ve ever encountered. Extremely unhelpful and unforgiving

I’ve been to several Lagree Pilates classes and this one kicked my butt — in a good way! The setting of the studio is so cool in an old church with stained glass windows and an organ.

The staff was so friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed the 40 minute class. I didn’t think I could get so sore in such a short time, but I was very wrong. I’ll be back!

Most beautiful location to do lagree. The space is open and bright. The instructor stayed true to the lagree method which I really appreciate. Will be back!

The location is good for me as it’s only 2 minutes from home, teachers and classes are good but the machines are really starting to deteriorate (cracked leather, front and back platform are sagging and deformed, the hands straps look old and dirty) I think it’s time to replace them, especially considering the price we pay for just 40 minutes of class. Otherwise I’ll look into another facility.

I used to come here all the time and stopped after moving. It’s great, super tough, accommodating instructors who are good at what they do. One note is that although they give variations to make things easier, they don’t go the other way as often for people who are experienced. It makes sense because you’re not super likely to find yourself in a class of regulars. However after a few months you can feel as though you are plateauing, especially because the overall format is always the same. Individual instructors have their own teaching styles so switch up who you go to and this shouldn’t be an issue. I took classes with Kyle, Bridget, and Jaclyn most often, they are awesome.

My local core40 that I adore. Beautiful space in a church — prettier than some of the other core40 locations. Great workout. They offer year long memberships for $200/mo.

This location is really nice, the old church is beautiful but doesn’t have that great of ventilation or air flow when warm. I’ve had hit or miss teachers. I’m a ClassPass and they seem to treat those people differently than the actual studio members.

I was only a few mins late and they gave up my spot. When asked what can they do because I was ClassPass they immediately shrugged and said nothing we can do it’s basically your fault. The teacher acted like they didn’t care. This is widely disappointing because I’ve gone to many classes at this location where people come in up to 15 mins late (long after warm up and first side of legs) and been let in or compensated. It seems to only be if you “look” like you live in Noe Valley (if you catch what I’m assuming).

I’ve thought about how out of all the studios in sf (core40, lagree415, bodyrok, etc.) this studio is the most elitist. Pilates is already a elitist activity and you don’t normally see bipoc ppl in and to make them not feel safe or welcomed. I didn’t want to say anything and just take my class and go, but I will no longer go to this studio. Here’s a list of teachers and studios you should go to instead:

- Tommy at Coremvmt (Castro)
- Eric or Nerissa at Bodyrok (mission)
- Gemma Lee or Tasha K. at Lagree415 (mission bay)

This place is absolutely incredible. It’s a hidden gem. Not only are the reformer machines the latest and greatest, so are the instructors. I look forward to every class I take. The best part is that it’s inside an mini church. Once you enter you already feel healed. The inside has beautiful stained glass and plenty of room in cubbies for your things. There are 2 changing rooms and a bathroom so clean and with amenities. I LOVE this place!!!

Core40 is an awesome workout. I love that each session goes by so quickly but you feel like you’ve accomplished so much. The studios are in great shape and instructors are always so helpful.

Cool church converted to a reformer pilates space by far the coolest vibe. Ramps here aren't electric like some of the other core40s

Loved this workout! The location is 100% worth the visit. Working out in the old church was a fun vibe. The natural light/stained glass is gorgeous. The instructors are really friendly and helpful and the overall workout gave a good amount of cardio and a lot of muscle toning exercise. Will definitely go again!

I came and it wasn't too crowded because of Thanksgiving weekend. The class was great and started right on time. I hadn't done reformer before so it was helpful when the instructor gave me guidance on form and positioning. I had a great experience here and to top it off this location is in an old church which is lovely

Great workout, friendly and helpful instructor, and a beautiful venue. It was my first time trying Pilates; I have a lot of work to get the technique right, but the workout was challenging and Celeste made sure to give me pointers throughout.
