I love the sculpt classes here (currently trying out strength). I love Carolina, she is my favorite. Her classes are sooooo good, and the music is always on point. I’ve been religiously coming here for over a year. Highly recommend if you want a more challenging workout.

CorePower Yoga isn’t my go-to when I’m looking for a class that feels cozy, zen, or community-driven BUT if you want a hot, high-energy workout, especially Yoga Sculpt, it’s great. I’ve tried other formats here but prefer other studios for those. That said, I love Yoga Sculpt, especially with Miah. She’s welcoming, gives clear cues, plays great music, and always knows when to let in some fresh air. I just wish she were on the schedule more often!

The studio is always clean and well-maintained. Just make sure to plan ahead as late arrivals aren’t allowed. Even if you’re a few minutes late, you won’t be let in. Arrive early or you’ll end up disappointed.

All of the instructors here are incredible! They create such welcoming spaces and even the community there is wonderful. Wide range of levels from the people that go so even at C2 I feel comfortable going as a relative beginner. Thanks for being such a great studio!

Maya Ramde is the worst instructor here. She doesn't adjust you properly and her music is explicit and is very uncomfortable. Why are all the instructors here so poorly trained?

Most punitive late/cancellation policy in LA group fitness. They don’t have a working phone number, they lock the front doors within a minute or two of class starting and they’ll charge you a $31 no show fee. Avoid.

Great studio in an excellent location with good parking. Locker rooms are good too and aren't single occupant bathrooms like BH or MDR which I appreciate. Great teachers with great music. Good vibes all around, my home studio!

This is the Mc Donalds of yoga except mc donalds does a lot better job!!! I'm not talking about other locations I'm talking about culver city core power yoga. Their best classes are flow then sculpt and the worst is hot power fusion. The problem with this place is the teacher are not teaching they just recite what you need to do. They don't help you with technique. They don't adjust, they don't tell you if you're doing anything wrong and many of the teachers have bad technique. But, the class I'm most dissapointment with is hot power fusion. I've gone to this class twice and the teachers don't know bikram yoga which this is based off. Their technique are horrible and the girl in class today was so slow she had to remember the order of what excercise comes next that is was pathetic. Someone is going to really hurt themselves in HPF class. Your suppose to do the postures for one minute and then 30 seconds but that isn't even done. The first time I took this class months ago in santa monica it was excellent the room was 100-115 . Instructors technique was great and it was pretty much bikram minus some abrevations. This class not at alll. Half the class you should be on the floor the other half standing. But, even if this wasn't bikram it was a lame workout and people are going to get hurt for lack of techical experience from the teachers and the order in which the excercise were presented. Outside in the hall I was talking to other students about it and they agreed culver city core sucks!! Core brentwood for flow was good way better than culver city as well. Nothing is really good here instructor wise. Hopefully some day they will do HPF correctly. Also the class space is so super small and so super pact that it doesn't make for a great environment for yoga. Highly recommend strech or fire yoga for bikram yoga / hot yoga and highly recommend smaller studios for technique or brentwood for flow.

Why is there no Core Power 1 or 1.5 classes here. It's all Sculpt and 2?

Before you join this Corepower Yoga, I suggest you go do their free Tuesday night Yoga class at 7pm at the Culver Steps across from the farmers market (not to be confused with the Stairs.) @DTCulverCity on Instagram has more information on how to take the free class.

I have enjoyed most of the Tuesday nights there. Talia and another female instructor are very knowledgeable and use trauma informed/inclusive language. They set the tone with intentions and encourage modifications.

Last night, Ryan was the instructor and let’s just say… I did not vibe with his style. It was a very colonized and “no pain no gain” workout hidden under the disguise of a yoga session. He allowed no space for traditional practices, gave wrong directions (multiple times), minimized the space by telling jokes, did not ask anyone for consent when touching them for corrections, did not turn his mic off when correcting, there was no use of trauma informed language, very little encouragement for modifications except during bridge pose when more experienced practitioners did “wheel” and he said “That opens up your heart to a lot of emotions, but do it if you want…” - After that, he made a 2 second comment on how important chavasana is, but we were going to do it quickly for the sake of time. Then he said “I’ll give you the length of this song” and then… did not. Finally, he gaslit everyone at the end by pretending to not know Fleetwood Mac sang Landslide. There was no room for connecting with the inner self because Ryan literally talked the ENTIRE time. It was not a “sundown” experience.

I suggest calling to see who is going to be teaching on Tuesday Nights and maybe Ryan is your jam and the kind of workout experience you want. But if you want/need something challenging, inclusive, trauma informed, and mind-body focused, engage with one of the other instructors.

Ya it's a nice studio, but their website is scammy. Turned out they charged me +$600 for enjoying their trial without me even knowing. There is nothing on the site that articulates membership automatically going into effect. That's money I'll never get back due to their lousy customer support and poor communication.

Also found out the hard way that if you want to cancel/change membership, you have to call customer support. That's a high barrier of entry to get out of a scam!

Scammed me out of money and never let me into the establishment for the time I paid for. Now they continue to ignore my emails requesting a refund & cancellation.

My first class was great! I'm still pretty new yoga, and this really added an extra punch to the practice. It really had me working and sweating, it felt great. Anju was great, and made you feel really welcomed throughout the practice. Will definitely be back!

Jaclin is amazing. I've been doing classes in LA for over a decade (and even taught for a while too), and I know a good teacher when I see one. She has the perfect amount of toughness, encouragement, and sense of humor. Her core power sculpt is the perfect class: cardio, weights, yoga and zen. Highly highly recommend. I hope she adds more classes to her schedule
