The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. The locker rooms are very well kept and luxurious. I always look forward to my yoga classes. I’d recommend corepower yoga to anyone looking for a yoga studio. They also have locations throughout the country.

Great yoga classes. Love the c2. The hot candle light class is too hot for me (112f) so sticking with c2 since it's around 100f. Hopefully the showers get fixed soon so we can shower after class.

Started going to core power in Denver in 2012. This is the worst studio I have been to. Instructors aren’t good, showers are broken, studio not clean. A disappointment!

I feel this CP studio has taken CP yoga classes to another level. Challenging in a welcoming environment. Clean studio, friendly staff and excellent instructors. Plenty of parking and in a convent location off freeway with lots of shopping.

Love this studio!!! Every instructor always has a great vinyasa in C2 but the room is too hot! It needs to be 2 degrees cooler and it would be much more enjoyable. I’ve been to a lot of studios and Del Mar is the only one that keeps the room uncomfortably warm.

This studio rocks! They really know how to host a yoga class that will have you leaving refreshed and sweaty. The studio is very clean and has great locker room accommodations. I can’t wait to come back soon!

The teachers are awesome. I started cramping up not because of the class, but because I really pushed it too far throughout the day. The entire support staff ran to aid me from carrying my stuff such as my yoga mat, bringing me water and electrolytes, and helping me stretch the cramp off. They really went the extra mile to make sure I was ok even though it was just a minor cramp.

At 10:00 am, they told me that they didn't have anyone to handle the cashier duties at the store. I returned at 7:30 pm, and after 40 minutes, they still couldn't process the payment for the purchases I wanted to make. Moreover, the employee was very rude. I'm not sure if it's a matter of racism because I'm Mexican, but it seems like it or that the store is involved in money laundering.

My wife and I went to three yoga classes at this studio during the week of March 20, 2023, as we were in town for a visit. The first two were flow classes (March 20 and 21) and they were fine, the one on the 21st was better. On Thursday, March 23rd while we were in the 9:15am Yoga Sculpt class someone (could be an employee or member) went through my personal things in my bag in a locker and stole cash from me. Everyone should be aware that there is a thief at this location. As the theft occurred while classes were going on, I can only assume it was an employee. I'll never attend another class at this location.

I’ve taken several classes at this studio and enjoyed them for the most part; however, I wish the majority of their classes weren’t heated, especially the yoga sculpt one. It’s very challenging to focus on the practice in such a warm environment, especially when it’s a crowded class in a small room (and I’m a young healthy person). I’ve taken multiple yoga classes in different places in the country, as well as internationally, and this is the main thing I don’t enjoy about CorePower yoga. I really wish they offered more options for non-heated classes, other than core power 1. Another great addition would have been some aerial yoga classes. Other than that, the studio in Del Mar is nice and clean with great class schedules.

The place has a good choice of class schedule. But I fount it poorly trained staff instructors at least.
Once I got stuck in a traffic jam and got there 5 minutes late. The instructor Ashley won't let me in even though she saw me wandering outside with a yoga mat. The front desk was closed and the main entrance was locked . I ended up driving home empty handed.
I'm not angry or upset by the incident. But I felt frustrated and a need to warn others about possible deadlock.
We can't control what's happening to our life but we can try to manage them. This is one of the preachings from all instructors at the end of each class. I found it ironic when the instructor can facilitate students with a more manageable moment at her finger tip. It also shows Corepower Yoga has no considerations whatsoever to late customers with no front desk and no open entrance when classes are still running.
This is as a follow up to the the comments from the store management after my initial review posted.
I can understand the studio’s late policy especially if the studio holds it strong. Would that be nice to let customers know right before they sign up for the membership so that they don’t have to fight hard with the traffic as I did ? Another a few observations since I joined the studio:
1 refig is totally empty stocked except a few staff’s lunch boxes even though there is a price tag with $4 for a drink to buy.
2 no any disposable plastic cups provided. If customers forget to bring a water bottle, sorry you have to tough it out for the whole hot yoga class.
3 the water bottle provided to wet the mat is empty. Customers have to fill it themselves.
I have been to other CorePower studios in Poway and rancho Bernard and other non CorePower yoga studio. This is the worst studio managed have ever experienced.
But I enjoy some of the instructors such as Michael, Jonathan and Xuyan. They are quite professional and considerate. 5 stars to them

I’m here just for a few weeks, visiting from England. The staff helped me set my account up so I could utilize the free week even though I have a UK phone number. The classes have been challenging and the teachers are amazing. We’ll definitely be back next summer!

By far the worst yoga Pilates place I’ve ever been to considering the amount of money you pay to go there I went there for one class and was four minutes late and the entire building was locked The teacher saw me through the window and still didn’t let me in don’t ever go to this class if you have a little bit of traffic it end up being five minutes late because they won’t let you in and you’ll end up wasting your money and your time I will never go back to this place and I will recommend all my friends to cancel their memberships and they will

My review would most likely be higher if I actually could get into the class. I don’t know how a yoga class has made me so stressed out, but here I am. I showed up outside 1 minute late (no exaggeration) and it was locked. I find this truly just unnecessary and unfair. They seemed nice enough before.

CorePower Del Mar is a consistently excellent experience. I’ve been coming here for a few years and it truly excels over any other CP studio I’ve visited in 5+ cities. The teachers and community are super friendly and the schedule has variety.
Michael — He brings the heat & clearly puts so much thoughtful energy into each class. Stay fabulous king; love your mantras, sequences, stretches, articulation, fun playlists & eucalyptus towels.
Tamara — Thank you for inspiring dance and keeping your flow creative. I love it when you sing, laugh and share the astrological energy.
Sarah — You have a great smile and your ab sequence is delectably painful each time. We love it when those jungle beats takes us to Tulum and back.
Raquel — StretchLab has truly nothing on your C2.
Jonny — Your sculpt classes feel like three shots of espresso. My legs are still recovering :)
Amy Rae — Always so friendly when you walk in the studio. Never seen her without a smile.
Alex — Difficult & balanced. I like how you start with core and keep it going through class.
Lillian & Xuyen etc — excited to take your classes soon.
Honestly every teacher at this studio should get a raise; they keep us coming back and are why membership numbers are strong (supposedly highest in California). Understand corporate is mostly concerned with growth (store count, revenue, membership, teacher training quasi legal pyramid schemes, etc) but should also look at membership & retention metrics for Del Mar specifically. Invest more in your app while you’re at it; there isn’t much functionality built in.

I used to attend Core Power over a decade ago when there was only two studios. I loved it. Since then it's become a big corporate chain and I have pretty low expectations when taking a class. There's very little instruction or attention given to students. They charge more money than most studios for no individualize attention whatsoever.
That being said, I was so disappointed in the class I took today lead by Tamara Rodriguez. This teacher had no interest in connecting with students. I had the feeling that she wanted to just perform for the class the whole time. She never seemed to pay any attention to students and instead starred and herself in the mirror the whole time. When doing a pose she didn't demonstrate how to correctly move into a pose, but instead would force her body straight into a pose, often not done correctly. She'd mess up a breathing flow to recite some chakra mantras she remembered.
I finally was able to get over my issues with the teacher and focused on having the best class I could have. But then came savasana...
To me, savasana is a gift at the end of class. The point is to move into a truly relaxed state and serve as a starting point for meditation. Well Tamara takes this as her opportunity to perform... again. She began belting out a song. I was totally amazed that the studio would allow this. I'm not taking about some ohm shanti chanting. This was as if she was auditioning for American Idol.
This person doesn't seem to have any interest in being a teacher and instead cares about being seen. As if no principles of being a teacher were given during her training.
Two stars is for the cleanliness of the studio and the friendliness of the front desk staff. But this experience is a great reminder of why I normally avoid corporate studios who focus on pumping out instructors, packing classes and providing quantity, not quantity.

I LOVE this studio. It's in a great location. All of the teachers I have had are very kind and the C2 class is so challenging and fun! Go for Tamara's class for awesome playlists. (On a small side note to the studio - please clean the mirrors more often it would be something small BUT so important to students)

The Del Mar studio is my absolute favorite CorePower Yoga studio. The location is perfect, great parking and plaza. The staff are all very friendly with awesome instructors. The rooms and bathrooms are always clean and tidy. I personally want to give Lindsey at the front desk a shout-out because she is so kind and friendly and helped me so much with my account as I just moved from Orange County to SD. She was very welcoming and went above and beyond to help me and I really appreciated her help. I also love all the instructors I've taken so far (Tamara Alex and Jonathan). I think this studio has some of the most fun and challenging classes (yoga sculpt) and I enjoy coming back almost everyday and every week.

They stole money from my bag and blamed it on me for not locking it up. Only the girls at the desk know we are all in a class for an hour and no chance of being caught digging to the bottom of my bag.
My daughter signed up for a month for the summer and then since the class was packed and she felt it was too many people she cancelled her membership for the next month with their online submit form. The charged her anyway. It’s impossible to reach them by phone and it directs you to their Colorado office.Where they hang up on you. I think they must be going out of business

Still good, but just not as good as it used to be before covid. Something just isn't the same. I did hear there were some issues with hiring and letting teachers go during covid. Not sure what is happening with CPY as an organization in general. I do feel for the teachers and staff. In terms of the place as a facility it's nice but I've seen nicer. 3 stars because it's a nice place that keeps you coming back but not the best it could be.

What a fantastic place to recharge and workout. I’ve been to many yoga studios before but this one specifically has a lot of healing powers for me. There is something about the location and the people that work there it’s very real and deep and that’s exactly what I was looking for when I was hunting down studio after studio.

Have been a CorePower Black Tag member for many years. I love the freedom to go as often as I want and go to any studio.
Del Mar is my current home studio and though the locker room is too small, it is otherwise awesome.
The availability of classes offered at different times is usually perfect for me. The teachers and team are all friendly and helpful. Clean showers.

I tried CPY-Del mar on a free week trial and they made signing up very easy (and hassle free) so much so that on the first class I already felt like a member. I love that they offer a range of yoga classes for what you are feeling/what your body needs - C2, HPF and Yoga sculpt - are my fave. Also I consistently have AMAZING instructors each unique and different with one underlying powerful quality - PASSION. After my week was up I needed more now I'm a black tag member and it's the best money I've ever spent!
Try it out, you'll love it. What are you doing for YOUR health!?

The studio is always clean. There are a few particular people who go above and beyond. One is the studio manager Nicole. She always has a glowing smile on her face and her flow in HPF is always relaxing. Kim the assistant manager teaches a mean sculpt class and is always a pleasure to practice next to. There is one new teacher that teaches sculpt on Sunday mornings at 7:30 Stephanie. Her class is always hard and you can tell she teaches from the heart. There are two other teachers I'd like to point out in particular Xuyen first who changes her flow and music every few classes and I always leave with a sense of "I got my but Kicked" in a good way. Sometimes I think she is possessed when teaching :-)J/K. Lastly there is Rene who when teaches her C2 class you can feel the love pouring out of her to her to her students and is reflected in each and every posture in her flow. If your having a bad day you wont be after leaving her class.
