My daughter and I were in the area for a week, looking for a place to practice yoga and Pilates. This studio offered a free week's trial, so we decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did! Throughout the week, we took several different classes, including Hot Yoga, Yoga Sculpt, Hot Power Fusion, and Yoga 2 evening sessions, each with a different instructor. Every instructor was exceptional, and the staff as a whole was incredibly friendly, inviting, and welcoming.

The positive energy and warm atmosphere made every visit a great experience and a wonderful addition to our California vacation. If we were staying in the area longer, we would definitely purchase a membership. We will absolutely be trying other CorePower locations during our future travels!

Love love love! I've been an on and off member at CP and so far the HB location has been my absolute favorite! The studio also just had a little revamp done and it shows :). If you're thinking about it, do it!

I recently had a reservation for a Sunday class at 6pm on 2/16. I arrived 15 minutes early but it was my first time going to this location (I used to go to the CM one years ago) but saw this available on my ClassPass so I decided to book. When I got there, it took me 20-25 minutes to even find the location. The receptionist upfront was really nice and agreed with me that it’s hard to find since there’s no light. It’s also upstairs so not at eye level. She told me to email the manager since I lost my credits due to missing the class for arriving late. I used 10 credits for this class so it was not cheap. I emailed Veronica the following day but haven’t gotten a response. There should be a better description on how to find this location since I’m sure many people have gotten lost and came late. I also tried calling but it leads to the corporate line that no one answers.

The management at this location has been disappointing. Minsun was rude and showed little empathy towards students. When I suggested switching studios for Core Power 1 to avoid the noise from the Sculpt class, she essentially told me to find another yoga studio, saying that peace and quiet aren’t priorities here since Sculpt, with its 60 attendees, is the main revenue generator.

As someone with a back injury using yoga alongside physical therapy, this was disheartening. I also learned that Core Power 1 is unpopular among many instructors and often gets canceled, which is concerning since it's the only class my body can handle.

My interaction with Minsun left me with such a negative impression that I canceled my membership online the same day. For $200 a month, every student should be treated as a valued customer, not just those attending the most profitable classes.

This review is for Irie (not CorePower as a whole) - went on a Monday night when he was subbing and he was incredible - explosive energy and great spirit. I would go back to his class again. I got so sweaty I literally had to wring out my sports bra after the class - he has great form too! Music was fire - 10/10 one of the best fitness instructions I’ve ever had.

As for some of the other reviews which denigrate CorePower as an institution- yes, CorePower is not real yoga. They offer intense heated workout classes (weighted cardio, etc) with some yoga poses thrown in. BUT just do your research before signing up for a class! If a more flowy practice-centered approach is your vibe, just go somewhere else! If you want to SWEAT and leave sore, come here! :)

I’m a yoga teacher and this is not yoga. It’s a gym but it’s mainly motivated by taking your money. Some of their yoga instructors have attitudes, there is no community really because so many people leave early and their classes are all the same. Don’t go here. They keep you in a loop, You can’t cancel, they auto-charge you for extra stuff. Their billing and policies are set up in a way that just keeps charging your bank and it is annoying and they will not even try to help you because ehem yoga is luxury!! Again, the attitude is not what you expect from a yoga studio. As a yoga teacher I feel embarrassed that this is what people experience. We are here to instill peace into people’s life. This is solely a business in the name of yoga. You don’t have to fall onto their little business scam or whatever they have going on. Also i don’t teach or wish to teach so I am not saying this to ruin their reputation for my own benefit. I was willing to pay because it was the closest studio to me and I needed the heated yoga class, but their way is just not right. Talking to a friend who owns a studio, he asked where I practiced and I said CP and he laughed while mentioning how he doesn’t even hire CorePower yoga teachers because they are not skilled. If you like them, find real yoga!

Over a month now with no heat in the main room and sculpt. All calls are fielded by the corp office and they just give you the same line, we are looking it into it. I pay for three memberships. One of the members I pulled away from another studio. So frustrating. All three of us haven’t been able to go to sculpt because it’s not heated. Low heat means everyone else’s body heat. People have jobs cant go whenever so the early classes are what works for us. I can’t cancel my membership but I will suspended all three until you figure out your studios heat. Maybe find another studio. Hate to think your studio is just trying to a buck. You over charge as is so no reason why those heaters haven’t been repaired or REPLACED. People save your money and go to a studio that actually provides the heated classes they advertise. So over this studio.

What has happened to the heat being off for more than a month at Huntington Beach? The manager is avoiding the question saying it is being fixed, but something else going on. Fixing a natural gas furnace on the HVAC rooftop units should take a week or less max. Incompetence happening here.

I recently had the pleasure of taking another 6:30 AM SUNDAY yoga class with Chyna at CorePower Yoga, and it was an absolutely transformative experience. Chyna's expertise and passion for yoga shine through in every session.

Chyna's guidance was not only physically challenging but also spiritually uplifting. Her clear instructions and helped me deepen my practice. Her positive energy and calming presence created a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for yogis of all levels.

What sets Chyna apart is her ability to offer modifications if certain movements are too advanced for us.

I appreciate Chyna's dedication to creating well-rounded classes that focus on strength, flexibility, and mindfulness. The sequencing was thoughtful, and she seamlessly integrated breathwork and meditation, leaving me feeling both physically rejuvenated and mentally centered.

Overall, Chyna is an exceptional yoga instructor, and I feel fortunate to have her guide me on my yoga journey. If you're looking for a skilled, inspiring, and compassionate yoga teacher, look no further than Chyna at CorePower Yoga - HB.

Thank you, Chyna, for sharing your passion and expertise. I look forward to attending more of your classes in the future!

Don’t go there is you are looking for yoga. Classes are extremely loud with rap music with jumping exercises. Even classes that state there are not heated are going to be heated so also extremely misleading overall experience if you want a burger, don’t go to McDonald’s go to burger place same here if you want Yoga don’t go to CorePower.

I joined the Corepower in Huntington Beach about a month ago. I go to Jill C corepower 1 class. I go to HPF class given by Jaideep and on Friday I go to Lisa G sound healing and restore class. All 3 teachers have been very professional and knows what they are doing. 5 stars to all. Plus the location is very clean and maintained.

I decided to check out a few yoga studios these next couple of weeks since I am very new and would like to learn the yoga practice. Corepower Yoga was one that was recommended to me by my partner. I took 3 classes total with multiple instructors that were great. However, on the website it mentions they have meditation classes and its a class I was interested in trying. When I looked at the schedule I saw that the meditation class wasn’t being offered during this time. I thought maybe the schedule changes and it’ll come up eventually. I stopped coming after three classes since I thought you get 1 week of classes (didn’t know it had to be consecutive) I was trying to save the rest of the days for the meditation class. I came today (the 8th day) and as I walked in Jill the instructor says “are you going to buy a membership because your week is up”. It wasn’t about the membership but just the way she said it. I went on to tell her I was looking for the meditation class and she rudely and disrespectfully said “I don’t know what you’re talking about we don’t have that here”… this went on for 5-10 minutes. I found it very weird how rude she was after I showed her the website & how confused I was on the class schedule. It didn’t look like she cared at all and just wanted to move on with her day. It wasn’t until I told her I was new and not sure what classes to take and what I was interested in that she switched her attitude and gave me suggestions but it didn’t seem genuine. I think there could have been a better way to let me know about the policies they have in place, as well as more information on these meditation classes and not talk to me in a condescending manner. Definitely will not be choosing this studio

I’ve been CPY member since 2009 and love all the Instructors as they do a wonderful job trying to keep us all in good health and conditioning with their awesomeness. I do want to take this moment in thanking Janet N for her efforts in catering the Sculpt session tonight to a high energy and strength sculpt session. Upon check in I had asked her to up level the session and she did just that. Thank you Janet from your new South African friend the other Kevin B

Just had the worst experience with STACY at this Corepower location. There was a huge firetruck blocking our parking and delayed us by a couple of minutes. Class started at 9:30am and bc of parking we got there at 9:33am. Ive come to class before and have been graciously allowed to enter by welcoming employees every time, as long as I’m within the 5 min grace period. And stacy refused to let us in with no remorse. I asked her to please allow us to enter this time and if they changed the policy, then I can take that into consideration next time.

She was so mean and inconsiderate and completely ruined my perfectly nice Sunday morning. I can’t go to another class due to time and refuse to come here again because of such terrible customer service. She made me feel terrible.

Great staff, early morning classes are a bit too chatty. There seems to be a very sophomoric group of "regulars" who attend early morning sculpt classes. They are very loud and talkative before class and are under the impression that there is "assigned seating" as opposed to first come/first serve. I have nothing against the studio or staff. However, practicing yogi's should RESPECT THE SILENCE and respect the space. Just because you have been attending for months/years does not give you seniority over spaces in an already cramped 5:45 am class.

I’ve been a member of corepower on and off the last 8 years. Mostly in NorCal. This is the most well run location I’ve been too. Availability of classes and quality of teachers is top notch. Jill C, Marina se, Lisa, Aly are all great teachers with a solid grasp of yoga (as are several more). The Hotpower Fusion is not my thing and reminds me of 90’s bikram(🤢, but it just goes to show they offer something for everyone.

Details: Mid-day/ mid-week, HPF class, Huntington Beach, CA, led by Aly. Context: I consult businesses on customer experience, sales, client management. CX: Great experience during my visit. BOOKING: Booked class on my phone via Chrome browser, not app. FIRST CONTACT: Greeted by the instructor when I entered and told me about the class/ studio. LOBBY: Spacious, clean, lots of natural sunlight. CLASS: Room, floor, mirrors, props were clean. AMBIANCE: Lighting was too bright for my taste. Possibly no dimmer control. INSTRUCTOR: Aly was confident, demonstrated command, knew her sequence, perfect balance of remaining stationary, floating the room, and demo'ing. Aly was 10/10. MEN'S RESTROOM: The only weakness of the experience. Paper towels/ tissues on the floor, random unplugged fan could have been put away if not in use. Seemed unattended. Easy fix. POST CLASS: As I walked out, the instructor and incoming teacher for next class thanked and checked in. OVERALL: I would come back.

My fiancée got a package of classes months and months ago. We’ve tried contacting these guys directly over email and the phone each month since October of last year asking them to stop auto charging us given we live in San Francisco and never wanted a monthly subscription.

I’ve contacted my credit card company as well to report the fraudulent charges that we’ve tried repeatedly to cancel. That worked for a month, and then saw yesterday they were back at it. I have literally never had as bad or as bizarre of a customer service and billing experience as I’ve had with this company. The level of difficulty and ineptitude one has to deal with is next level, and that is in comparison to the nightmares I’ve had with companies like Comcast. Beware of overcharging and continued charging long after you cancel.

I love CPY! I have been coming here for about 2 years now and it is still the most consistently challenging yoga studio (and fitness class) out there. My favorites studio is here at Bella Terra in HB because of how large and spacious it is, and they just went through a renovation recently so the floors are extra bright. I love C2 and Sculpt classes because I always get a great workout out of them and feel strong afterwards.

The only thing with this studio is that there are not enough showers/bathroom stalls for the amount of students who frequent this studio. Also, finding parking can take a while depending on the time and day you go, so I always try to get there extra early.

I'd recommend CPY to people of all fitness levels. I can positively say that if you put in the work, you'll feel the difference. I hope that I'd get to try a C3 class in the future if my schedule ever aligned with a class time.

The studio is a little bit of a pain to get to and I usually forget to budget an extra five minutes to find parking and get up to the second level. Three studios means lots of class options including a c3 (which I love). Mostly great instructors, though one of the most affronting yoga teachers I have ever met, Red Jen, has a lot of classes there. I have never experienced someone more disrespectful of my practice (if you don't follow her cues exactly she will come, interrupt you in the middle of class and tell you to move to the back of the room). Its a shame, because her sequences are often enjoyable even though she isn't.
