There are amazing teachers here and thatβs the only reason I give 3 stars! I go to this one since is next to my house but that room smells like feet:( after the renovation, I was excited since I thought their main focus would be where we exercise since the floor seems old with the surface being uneven and oh surprise the room looks the exact same lol I feel like the lobby and change room were ok and we actually needed a renovation where we actually exercise! Very disappointing πππ

Took my boyfriend to this studio today for his first yoga class. Our instructor was Sasha and he was great! So kind and helpful.

It smells like feet every time i take an evening hot power fusion or sculpt class here.
To the manager, please get more effective cleaning products for your SET team to use.
And it irks me that they lock the studio up if you arrive there 1 minute late despite outside factors.

Not cool how they handled my money. Charges me cancellation fees without letting me know in advance. Also I signed up a week later but they charges me a week before.

I normally love this location but had a bad experience today. My all access membership was cancelled and restarted because I had a student discount that didnβt go through.
My membership hadnβt been reactivated (even though it was supposed to by today), and the teacher at the front desk notified me. I explained my situation, showed her the messages from Corepower about my account reactivation, and asked if there was anything else I could/should do. She said I was good to go, so I went to class then went home. After I got home I received a message that I was charged for a single session class ~$30. Had I known this was going to happen, I wouldβve just skipped the class and waited for my account to reactivate. Poor communication skills on their part and makes me not want to go back to that location. It sucks too because I really like a lot of the sessions there.

I gave 2 stars only because of the studio manager (Sarah). The instructors are all nice, however the manager keeps harassing students. She did not let me have my personal belongings when I needed my phone next to me in case of my child needs me. The other student needed their purse in the studio as her had her inhaler there and the manager yelled at her to get her purse out. However there are some students came in later, looks like managerβs personal friends, they all had their personal belongings with them and she let them had their stuff in the studio. I wonβt be back.

Here's why I won't use this facility. There is NO local telephone # and I want to speak to a live person. I just called some 833 # and they are closed. So WHY would I struggle with this? I have questions and MY policy is that any business that can not offer a 'live person' and especially with such a person service like Yoga, is not my kind of business. Too may others to chose from.

I was really unhappy[y going there for two reasons.
(1) They keep the room cranked above 100deg and a humidity machine full. Sometimes it is not so bad, and other times by the 45min mark half the class is just collapsed on their mats looking at their watches waiting for the session to end. When you ask the instructors if the room has to be SO hot, they smile and shrug and say that is the policy.
(2) I stopped going but waited until two days before it was time for the next monthly payment to cancel. They sent me a smug email saying "you should have read the small print in the contract - whenever you cancel, we will then charge your credit card for ANOTHER 30 days."

The facility needs massive renovation and a new ventilation system. Smells horribly there. The instructor was great. Will not be going back.

Iβve been with Core Power now about 5 years. I love the energy of the teachers here in San Diego. I love that I have so many choices of classes from C1, C2, HPF (my current favorite), yoga sculpt, core restore, and now a new fitness class coming this January.

I wish CorePower would have the sense to hire somebody to work the front desk. Itβs extremely frustrating to race across town just to be met with a locked door if itβs 2 minutes after the start time. On top of that, the instructor made eye contact with me desperately knocking at the door and then turned away and ignored me. No studio Iβve EVER attended has this setup, it causes frustration and stress where it would otherwise be easily avoided. Now Iβve wasted my time and money, and the corporate giant of CP, who can easily afford extra staff, couldnβt care less.

Trainers don't show up to classes. I came to a 7:30am Sunday class. There were a number of people standing outside of the studio because the door was locked. This is the second time this happened to me at this studio. Probably not the best place to plan on taking yoga classes. π when classes did occur, they were pretty good.

Many studio options in the San Diego area and class schedules make it easy to find a class at almost any time of the day throughout the whole week. Well maintained facilities include showers and locker rooms. Enthusiastic and welcoming staff and teachers.

Corepower teaches yoga in a way that connects mind, body, and soul like no other studio. It has become a second home to me and I'm so blessed to have founded this place. Corepower has changed my life and pumped it full of love and mindfulness and gratitude. The passionate and wise teachers here inspire you to grow and learn as a class. Your fellow yogis become family.

Our C1 instructor Sam was super welcoming and focused the class around having fun! It was a great tempo and still super challenging. Bummer that she is moving to the East Coast! Definitely coming back.

It's been a wonderful experience with CorePower Yoga in La Jolla. Both Tom and I started a few years ago, and got hooked to it! All the instructors are professional and warm, feeling very inspired each time! If you want to feel good/fit, go for it and you won't regret it.

I just signed up for the free one week trial at the UTC, La Jolla location. I took core power one with Pam. She's incredible! She made me feel so welcome and at ease. She even finish the class by putting a wonderfully scented oil on my forehead/arms. I also took core power one with Lili! She was so impressive in what she could do but at the same time so gentle and humble! Simone C core cardio was AWESOME!! Simone is really encouraging and her strength is really motivating. I'm really loving my whole experience & hope to sign up for a membership next week!! Thank you!!!!

I have been attending classes at this studio for 5 years. Recently, they implemented a late policy : if you are > 2 min late, you will not be admitted to the class. We all have busy schedules and all know that living in UTC, even the traffic lights can make you 2 min late. I am shocked that this studio cannot be more accommodating to their regular clients. I will not be returning.

CorePowerYoga has changed my life! After a good sweat at CPY I always feel rejuvenated and ready to tackle the challenges in my everyday life. I strongly recommend the studio in La Jolla/UTC area of San Diego; with very clean studios, a warm, welcoming environment and excellent yoga teachers, this studio is by far my favorite. There are classes for everyone, from beginners to advance and if you are unsure whether or not you are willing to commit they have great prices for drop-ins as well as a free class on Saturday evenings! My personal favorite class is the core restore class with live, relaxing music! They offer this class a few times a month on Sunday evenings. If you are new to yoga and are looking for a life-changing practice or if you've been practicing yoga already and are looking for a new outlet to your practice then try out CorePowerYoga in the UTC area...you will not be disappointed!
