I was feeling claustrophobic in Bikram yoga with the same flows and no music, but with my wedding fast approaching, pilates wasn't burning calories. This is by far my favorite new "gym" - love to switch it up between sculpt and HPF and level two classes. Even the restore with sound bowl, I've tried them all in my first month, lost a solid 5 pounds (πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜ŽπŸ₯³) and feel my tech neck finally resetting to upright posture. Love this place!!

Thank you so much to Victoria K for being an amazing instructor! It was my first time at Corepower and I got a great workout from the class that made me sore the day after in the best way possible. It was relaxing and positively challenging and I left feeling happy that I did something healthy for my body. I especially appreciated Victoria's friendliness and professionalism. I sometimes get anxious about exercising in a public setting but Victoria created such a welcoming and comfortable environment that I truly appreciate.

I’ve gone to CorePower several times now and had amazing experiences every time. The class is tough but rewarding. The instructors do a great job of encouraging you to push hard.

Special shoutout to Phoebe for being an especially amazing trainer! She brings such a positive energy, cares about her class so much, and has the best playlist. I can’t wait to be back!

This is a clean, perfect-sized facility and once the class begins, the yoga instructors are knowledgable and inspiring. I particularly love taking classes with Cassidy if I can make them. I'm giving the experience a 3/5 because the culture of the studio is pretty cold and I often feel uncomfortable and unwelcome with the other yoga students. For example, today I went to class and the instructor was in the bathroom, and locked the front door while she was away. I checked my phone, it was 11:59am and the class started at noon. A key part of this note lies in the fact that I was not late, I was on time. I knocked on the window of the class before it began to request assistance for someone to let me in and a class full of people watched me and didn't try to help at all. I had a yoga mat in my hand, pointing to the door. It felt very unkind to me. I'd prefer to attend a studio that has a sense of community and kindness.

Fell in love with Gozde on my first class, stayed because of Carson, Vaishnavi, Barry and Jackie.
I LOVE how these teachers are not only non judgmental, patient, supportive but they are also so very kind to everyone in the room. You're probably going to have the best yoga studio in the city but without teachers like these guys who performs and teaches at their highest level - that studio is meh. Such great human beings!
This particular studio is so chill and I think because the energy from the teachers radiate towards the students. Give these people a raise!

Im selfish and was contemplating in posting this review because Im afraid they're classes will get more crowded than they already are but I guess it is what is! :)

Loved it until I don’t.
I’ve been a member of core power for several years now and started with this studio a couple months back. Showed up today to a class 2 minutes late and the MAIN ENTRANCE of the studio is locked. After knocking for a few minutes I went to the glass door and gestured at the instructor, who just shrugged and was like nah. Now Im gonna be charged a late fee and my credit is wasted.
Mind you I’ve been to at least 3 other core powers at this point, none of them lock main entrance doors. Ever.

Sold gift card without letting us know that cannot redeem against membership. Waste of $100. And to add to it, the staff was cold and blunt when I expressed my issues. So zero on customer service.

CorePower Mission Bay is an amazing yoga studio. I've been going a few times a week for several years now, and I can say with conviction that it's a fantastic center of wellness. The managers and all of the instructors are truly wonderful. I'm a fan!

Negligent in hygiene
After a happy year with the studio, attending 4-6 classes/week, in May’22 I got a severe skin infection… and subsequently discovered that Core Power does not use professional cleaners. All cleaning is apparently done by teachers and volunteers. My overall isolation combined with the facts that my spouse never got infected and that my infection started at my feet – the feet that are bare in the studio! – pointed to Core Power. However, learning that they do not see cleaning as their basic responsibility made me think that my horrific experience – I lost nearly a week of billable hours and 3 months later, still have scarring from the blisters that covered my whole body – was not an unfortunate accident but rather the product of willful negligence by a corporation.

Like me, many may assume that hot-yoga studios, like gyms and other places where people sweat and shed lots of skin cells, engage commercial cleaning. Learning that Core Power does no such thing concerned me so deeply that I could barely focus. I suspended my membership and contacted Core Power’s regional management for clarification. 7.5 weeks and several follow-ups later, still nothing. I am very sad. I miss the teachers I love. I miss hot yoga. But I simply cannot expose myself and my family to who knows what risks. Neither can I make it okay for Core Power to rake in fees and pandemic stimulus money – let alone profess to care about our wellness -- while putting our health at risk.

Core Power is negligent and should not be in this business.

Stopped by this studio while visiting SF. Holly led an excellent C1 yoga class that got me reaccustomed to the movements after a couple years away from the mat. Pacing felt just right, and the adjustments she recommended were helpful. Good music and vibes as usual. :)

This studio feels new and clean. There is ample locker space, a large sunny studio (there is also a second room but I didn't go in), and the location is super peaceful.

I've been to many CorePower Yoga studios in the Los Angeles area, most of them hot, and this is by far the best one! Great teachers, clean, and the right attitude. Can't recommend this place enough!

I enjoyed corepower when I was a member there. I haven't been a member since pandemic started. In the last three months, it started charging me monthly membership fee again. Its been three months and numerous attempts of reaching out through phone calls to studio, customer support, corepower info contact listed on site but there has been no response. I also tried to visit in person but studio hours are not the same as it used to. I hope someone from the studio will see this and get in contact with me. This post membership communication has been very disappointing.

Good studio located near a lot of healthy eating and grocery options. The men’s showers are quite nice though they can get crowded at peak times.

Great vibes, amazing staff and welcoming community! The hot C2 vinyasa yoga is great for toning, strength and relaxation. The Yoga Sculpt class is the perfect workout by combining hot yoga, cardio and weights. Clean studio with lockers/locks and mats/towels available for rental. Namaste!

I must say I now have a greater appreciation for hot yoga...at CorePower at least.

I'm usually more of a power yoga and vinyasa kind of gal and the warmest yoga I've done prior to this was at Yoga to the People. I tend to push myself deeper, so hot yoga just seemed dangerous for me. That being said, the instructors were good, offering a lot of modifications and depending on the heat level of the class, knew just how much to push us.

For the record, sculpt kicked my butt! But it was a good whooping. I definitely recommend hydrating up before classes and take advantage of the week pass before committing.

The facility was very clean with stocked bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and laid back. No judgemental vibes here.

The one thing that I wasn't a huge fan of were the people walking by watching your asana! The rooms face the street so it can be a slight distraction as people are peering in.

Although there's another CorePower location closer to my work, I've always enjoyed coming to this one on weekday evenings and weekend mornings. The studio is smaller here, but that's the only "negative" thing I can think about the moment, and it isn't really a bad thing.

Now for the pluses:
- When I go to class, even when the yoga room(s) are full, they still aren't suuuper packed. I've always been able to find a space to put my mat without any difficulty, and there's usually space on each side of my mat too, so I don't feel totally packed in like a sardine
- I usually walk here, but if you're not a walker, it's close to transit (MUNI + Caltrain) and there's street parking available that's free after 6pm.
- The teachers are very friendly and helpful, with optional hands-on adjustments
- There's different classes to take depending on your level (or at least, comfort level), and I've never felt bad if I was unable to do a pose or set of poses
- Lotsss of lockers. A problem I have sometimes at another location is that there are so any people and not enough lockers, so more often than not, there's stuff left in the unlocked closets and even on the floor.
- There's mat + towel rentals. There are locks for the lockers too, but I'm not sure if that's free or if you need to pay (I usually just bring my own since it's also easier to identify)
- The change rooms also have small amenities (feminine hygiene products, hand sanitizer, spray deodorant, etc.) and showers

I recently bought a class pack (cheaper than buying the classes individually), so another plus is that the class packs work at all the CorePower studios, even outside of Cali.

Great experience so far, and I can't wait to be back for more. I find the classes good but challenging, so I definitely want to get used to the whole hot yoga thing again
