Love this studio all of the instructors teach such a good class and it’s a really good burn of a workout

I honestly hate this CorePower studio. If you arrive at the scheduled time (not late) but not before, they lock the entire studio and you loose all the money you pay for the class. This has happened more than once. It is so much effort to get to and park at this place and to not give people at least a couple minute grace period is just ridiculous.

This review has been way overdue—I’m not even sure where to start. Honestly speaking, I didn’t know there was more to yoga than meditation and stretching. I had no idea how much strength, focus, and endurance it required until I came across CorePower Yoga. As someone who worked out at the gym five days a week, I thought I had fitness figured out—until I walked into CorePower.
I was first introduced to CorePower Yoga by my husband back in 2022 during a difficult time in my life. He encouraged me to give it a shot, and I reluctantly agreed. My first class at the Pacific Beach location was booked using his buddy pass, and we chose an HPF (Hot Power Fusion) class. Let me tell you—it was a challenge! Between keeping up with the balance and postures, adjusting to the heat, and maintaining my focus, I thought, This is way harder than I expected! My heart was racing, and it felt like I had just completed a full-body workout in less than an hour.
Despite the challenge, I was hooked. I signed up for a membership immediately and kept coming back for more. I tried other classes like Sculpt and CorePower Yoga C2, each one pushing me in new ways. CorePower became more than just a workout—it became my home, my sanctuary, and my safe space.
Through consistent practice, CorePower helped me heal, both physically and emotionally. Each session allowed me to let go, break through, and come out feeling refreshed and empowered. I even stopped going to the gym for a while because CorePower became my go-to for fitness and wellness.
The Pacific Beach location holds a special place in my heart. The community and staff are nothing short of amazing. They are always so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely excited to see you. The staff treats you like family, and their warm energy makes every visit a positive experience.
This overdue review is my chance to thank every staff member at the PB location. You’ve all played a role in my journey, and I’m deeply grateful for each of you. CorePower Yoga has been transformative for me, and I’ll forever appreciate the safe and supportive space you’ve created.
Thank you for everything!

Home away from home! My favorite place in PB. C2 and sculpt classes are top tier. They have the best teachers, manager, and culture. I’ve been going for 3 years and still am learning something new.

CorePower Yoga PB on Garnet is my sacred space. The teachers create an inspiring, safe environment that blends intensity with calm, allowing true inner connection. The community is incredibly welcoming, making every class feel transformative. If you’re seeking more than a workout—a place to recharge your body, mind, and spirit—this is it.

I was invited to go to a class here by a good friend and colleague of mine but even though we carpooled, we ended up missing class after we struggled to find parking for 10 mins and the doors obviously lock up when class starts.

Overpriced. Do not go unless you want dog running around and teacher who does no poses because she teaches class before.

The class was so packed, I could not execute full movements without either someone's bare feet in my face or my feet at someone's head or hands while on the mat. Before class, the teacher announced "everyone, be 4 inches from your neighbor - if I have to come move you closer, you're not going to like it." I would have rather been waitlisted or scheduled for another class than to be in small hot room with 60+ sweaty strangers. I thought about leaving several times because of the heat (I did NOT sign up for hot yoga) and the limited space, but the instructor blocked the exit most of the class and then even called out a girl who left early saying ON THE MIC to let her know before class if she planned to leave early. Also, with all the emphasis on class starting on time, this class started 5 minutes late. Overall, my experience was utterly disgusting - opposite of what I would expect from any yoga class - and I don't plan to return.

Way, WAY too crowded. Otherwise, at the local level, the instructors and classes are great. It is clear CorePower has grown into a corporate giant whose top priority is to literally squeeze in as much profit as possible.

I just took a class with Marie and it was great! It was my first time at this location. Clean studio and good solid challenging flow for all levels. I have to disagree completely with the person who just gave them a one star review. A good instructor will think of the whole room and do what's right for the entire class. Someone new should get there early and get oriented. I could tell from my experience there that they are pros who know what they are doing and all skill levels can benefit. Will return for sure.

Love Juan, our sculpt teacher, even though we weren’t planning on going to sculpt. The 10:30 C2 class was full, but the C2 teacher was so lovely and convinced us to do the sculpt class. It was great! Lovely workout, clean studio and bathrooms, friendly people and a great retail section.

I was invited by a friend to go to the yoga class there, I was one minute late for that yoga class that starts at 10:30 am on a Sunday. I appreciate punctuality but also empathize to out of hand circumstances especially if it was one minute only.
Drove down to the place. Parking is a hassle in Pacific Beach even on Sundays so I paid for a spot. Tried to get in,the lady didn’t let me in and let me go, no empathy to the effort of getting all the way to there as a new customer with an out of hand excuse.

All the CorePower locations are wonderful. That said, CorePower Pacific Beach sets itself apart as very special. All the staff, instructors and management are welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Classes are easily among the best in the business. Studios and locker rooms are spotlessly clean. CorePower PB is highly recommended!!!!

I always like the instructors at Core Power. They also do a great job of requesting feedback from members so that they can improve the job that their instructors are doing and address any issues. That's always comforting.

The instructor was great, but the back studio had an overpowering odor of mold. It made me feel ill! There is a faint spell of paint as well. Probably the paint that is used to mask mold.

I love the 6:30 am class, such a great way to start the day. I especially appreciate how the classes are always on time starting and finishing. It is important that I am out on time because I have limited time to get home, shower and head to work. Most of the teachers remind you while in shavasana that the class is on time and not to worry, this small reinsurance creates peace of mind for me and allows me to be present. I have attempted a morning class before work many times and in a way I had lost trust in other studios because they would run over until attending Corepower! Thank you for leading reliable practices!

Heads up for the angriest yogi I’ve ever seen! Poor girl is a head case and a bully; walks around telling everyone to take there conversations to the lobby (which were very few, quiet, and brief), lays down and continues to shoosh everyone, throws her hands up in the air, covers her ears with her hands and rocks back and forth, just livid. Yikes, sets a wonderful mood...and for a sculpt class none the less, not even a meditative type class. She’s in the front right corner and will snap some day. Otherwise it was a great workout, clean place, and friendly staff!

Let's talk about my experience
Got a free week to try it out - okay, thats nice
First class didn't get a locker because they were too full - not okay
Had to walk through a yoga class to get to mine, stepping over bodies - gross
Waiting 5 min for the instructor to come cutting off our time - not cool
Having the instructor break to open the door to the dirty alley because it was unbearably hot - sticky gross
The yoga ending with 10 minutes at the end reflecting on your week rather than doing yoga - not what this free session is about
Not being able to shower because there weren't enough - sorry to the public
Surprisingly, I went back to give it a second shot ... why not its free and this time went on a tuesday at 10 AM - still pretty much the same experience

This was my first experience with yoga and it was phenomenal! The studio was immaculate and the bathroom reminded me of a luxury hotel, providing lotion, mouthwash, deodorant, and other products to ensure patrons leave feeling clean and comfortable.
My roommate and I decided to take Hot Power Fusion Yoga with Marie D. Even though neither of us had taken yoga before, the instructor guided us along. She showed all the poses and even walked around to assist everyone in perfecting their stance. Awesome experience overall, can't wait to return for our next class!

Have a good variety of types of yoga workouts...so you can switch it up. Also different instructors will do different flows. Overall good studio just wish they didnt cancel so many classes for teacher training. On the bright side if your class gets canceled there are TONS of CP studios withing 10-15minutes of eachother:)

They have two studios for Yoga and a quality atmosphere to practice Yoga that I've come to expect from CorePower. I've only done 1 session at this location which was sculpted hot yoga with weights. It turned out to be an incredible workout and I loved it, but it definitely wasn't for a beginner to yoga, anyone not in great shape, or anyone not comfortable working out in a very hot (sauna like) environment.
