Love how when the water fountain is broken they want to CHARGE you for water or send you to Starbucks! The hundreds of dollars we spend monthly on membership, they can’t even provide you with the most basic need of water. This actually puts their members in danger of heat stroke and dehydration

Alright, buckle up, because you're about to hear the tale of a studio that makes dumpster fires look like a five-star resort.

I walked into this place with a naive glimmer of hope, thinking, 'Hey, maybe I'll finally find a decent yoga studio.' My first class was... fine. Foolish me. I actually thought, 'This could be good!' Then I decided to take the plunge and sign up for their 50-hour Teacher Training - a decision I now regret more than accidentally stepping on a Lego.

Let's start with the communication, or rather, the complete and utter lack thereof. Trying to get a response from anyone there was like attempting to contact a ghost. Emails? Ignored. Phone calls? Met with the sweet sound of dial tone. Then, the grand finale: they cancelled the entire Teacher Training. TWO DAYS BEFORE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO START. Yes, you read that right. TWO. DAYS.

Did they bother to notify me? Of course not! I found out by showing up for a regular class, brimming with excitement, only to be met with studio manager Ashley's casual, 'Oh, you don't know?' It was like a scene from a bad sitcom, except I was the only one not laughing.

Getting my money back? A battle worthy of a medieval epic. I had to fight tooth and nail, and even then, I felt like I was lucky to escape with my wallet intact. No apology, no explanation, just a cold, hard 'too bad, so sad' vibe.

This studio isn't just bad; it's an insult to the very concept of a yoga studio. If you value your time, your money, and your sanity, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. Seriously, you'd have a more peaceful and fulfilling experience meditating in a busy airport bathroom. This place is pure, unadulterated garbage.

Over the last month or so, I’ve been a regular at the CoreRestore classes at CPY in Redwood City and have been SO impressed! The instructors do yin better than anywhere I have been and the studio is at the absolute perfect temperature every time. So glad I have found my way to these classes - what a difference in my mental and physical health not to mention overall flexibility!

Instructors are nice and the studio is fine. Absolutely garbage underlying business, though. They set up recurring charges for memberships and make it hard to cancel. Wouldn't refund the $200 I was charged even though I never used the studio (two kids make it hard to practice these days).

Give your business to a locally owned studio instead of these greedy clowns.

I went to a yoga core 2 class offered free as part of a free trial week. I had to leave before the class was concluded because it was way too hot. Unfortunately the teacher was quite shrill and the poses were so repetitive I got bored. The space is odd. Not exactly a tranquil or restorative experience. Won't be returning.

FOR ALL CUSTOMERS!!! Please Read!!!

My partner and I were customers of COREPOWER Redwood City. Great yoga and teachers! Terrible corporate organization and extortionate policies.

They will steal money from you for a ridiculous 30-day cancellation policy that they do not make you aware of and don’t care even if you BROKE YOUR ARM (eye roll)!

I am never coming to COREPOWER again because I am also frustrated that the studio owners don’t emphasize or notify you either when signing up. It’s not a cheap membership, and it’s not right to take money from people when they don’t utilize your services and have requested to stop services.

So frustrating and unethical!!

Absolutely recommend this Core Power Yoga Studio, in my opinion the best in the South Bay. I have been doing CrossFit the last 3 years and really noticed my mobility needed improvement in order to get to the next level in certain movements. I decided to try Core Power Yoga and it was the right decision. I've tried different studios from Winchester, to Campbell, to Palo Alto, to Santa Clara Square (really good 12:30 Sat class), even out in Walnut Creek. All them have something good and something not so great. I judge them by the size of their studios, to the cleanliness of the changing rooms, the level of professionalism and flow of their instructors, and the regular yogis that attend class. After 2.5 months of 3-4 days a week of CP I can say that Redwood City has it all. The studios are absolutely the largest I've seen so there's PLENTY of space and they even put markers on the floor so you know where to lay your mat so you're not bumping into anyone. The facilities are always clean and always being cleaned when I'm there. The instructors are on point! Chase, Ashley, Zoe, Jennifer..the list goes on. Amazing and they push you hard but actually teach at the same time, they don't move so fast that you can't keep up. Plus they all remember to bring in a true meditation/namaste experience to the class so it does not feel like you are at a chain yoga studio, it's actually YOGA! Plus they do a lot of community events for their members. They have a running group that meets weekly and they even do beach cleanings with members every so often with stretch yoga sessions on the beach. I've stopped going to other studios, except maybe Santa Clara every now and then, because really there is no need. I really recommend this Core Power Yoga studio, you won't be disappointed.

All you need to know: rude staff, unclean facility, and unreliable classes and schedule. Classes often cancelled, and when you do show up no one is there.

Very poor service — perhaps the worst I’ve ever had at a yoga studio. Negligent staff. I and a few other people were waiting outside the class for upwards of 15 minutes because no one was at the door and eventually we all left. I arrived at 7:58pm for an 8pm class and the doors were locked. What a waste of my time and I will be cancelling my membership.

Love this studio. I have started to take classes at this studio last month. Among the classes I have tried so far, Gloria is my favorite, she always demonstrates the pose with clear instructions and also creates a great vibe. I like that the class size is small, usually like 2-4 people, which feels more safe considering the COVID situations. I hope they can add more diver classes with people coming back to the studio, would love to have a Core 2 during weekdays noon :)

Poor quality, be wary of the scam! I tried this studio using a two week free promotion. I tried their hot power yoga once and the experience was so bad that never went back. After the free trial they charged me for $199 per month without letting me know and they refuse to get me a refund. Total scam!

There are so many classes, I can always find one that fits my schedule. The teachers all follow a similar approach to the classes, but bring their own personality and favorite more challenging positions. The warmed studios help maximize the stretches. The site is locked during class, which provides safety during the class, but means you can’t be late!
