Got an eye infection from their rented matsβ¦spent all day at the ER today and spent $300 for antibiotics. I recommend they practice more hygiene & wash their mats. Also very hard to locate entrance (I had to go upstairs to their corporate office so that they could unlock the door downstairs) and parking is very unclear, when I asked if I could park there (showed them a picture of my spot right in front of their building) they said they didnβt know. Very disappointing.

This is by far my favorite Corepower studio. I take at least 4 classes here a week. Nataly and Leigh Anne's sculpt classes are my favorite to take (and Janelle when I have the time). Christian's candlelight HPF class is the best I've ever taken. Every teacher here is kind and personable. I love the way Nataly asks questions, listens, and cares that students have the best possible experience they can here. It feels like a little family in this studio, and I'm so grateful for it.

Probably the best place to sweat out every last drop of your moisture before meeting your maker in a heat induced fever dream. Namaste!

Rude service. Confusing entrance. Unaccommodating system with very little wiggle room. Pop culture yoga with nonsensical rules and boundaries.
Upon ringing the doorbell, the receptionist rolled her eyes at me and told me it would be βunsafeβ for me to enter the shala as class had begun just two minutes prior. Mind you, there was no signage on the front door about how to enter through the back, and no way of transferring my account from DC to LA for a smooth check-in process.
Itβd be one thing if the receptionist had shown me the slightest bit of compassion. Unfortunately, like most commercial yoga venues, turnover is high and we end up with indifferent, unfulfilled customer service.

Christian at Sherman Oaks location is the best. My weeks are super busy and making time for Friday night candle light yoga HPF with Christian is an amazing way to shed the stress of the week and kick off the weekend. Highly recommend.

I love the yoga teachers at Sherman Oaks and the neighborhood feel of the studio. I take Hot Power Fusion on a regular basis and for me, it's like physical therapy, focusing on each area of the body.

2 stars because of good parking.
But overall this studio is disappointing compared to other ones Iβve been to. The studio mirror had huge stain marks (from water/sweat?) and smelled horrible as if no one had cleaned it in a while or opened any windows. I already paid through class pass otherwise I wouldβve left. The class instructor was ok but sounded unenthusiastic. Classpass users: 11 credits are NOT worth it. Plenty of other hot yoga studios in the area that are clean and set the mood just right.

I was very hesitant to try hot yoga. I didnβt think I would enjoy it very much. Well, I was wrong. I absolutely love it, and the Sherman Oaks location is my favorite. The instructors are amazing and very helpful. The girls at the front desk always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. Great mind, body, soul experience.

It was AMAZING returning after a year+ away. Went to Ryanβs class on opening day. Felt so so welcomed and at ease. I was quite anxious about practicing in a mask in the heat, nervous about being off my game, and worried Iβd show up and feel out of place during an already strange time. But, I immediately felt assured and the second I entered the room I felt all the amazing familiarities that Iβve always loved about Core Power and the staff. Cannot wait to go back again already!! Thanks Ryan for being the highlight of my week!

I LOVE the instructors and the classes. The instructors are so warm, encouraging and supportive. I love that they know our names, praise our progress and are super friendly. This is what keeps me coming back. The classes are the perfect amount of challenging and achievable.

Such a lovely place. Extremely friendly and talented staff that make you feel so welcome. Facilities are clean. The classes are so great and challenging yet easy on your joints. Incorporates every part of your body and I love how the sculpt class has both strength and yoga intertwined. You leave class feeling so wonderful from the positive words and how hard you worked.

Brittany W. was very intentional and energetic during the C1 I took! She did a great job of breaking down each position and movement. Only small feedback was that she kept getting her sides and steps (right/left or transition into X pose) mixed up more often than regular! But whoβs perfect the day after a holiday! Also small snafu with getting checked in at beginning of class but everyone was super helpful, always a great time w CP staff and classes! π

Before you consider any other type of yoga or physical exercise you must try CorePower Yoga. The heat is very tolerable the staff was extraordinary. Everyone was kind and made you feel comfortable at the level that you're at. It probably feels like a spiritual experience and the fact that you are learning to balance your mind body and soul. I would encourage anybody who is willing to bring a change of exercise and disciplined to try core power yoga.

There is nothing to not like about this place. Maybe a larger parking lot, but this is L.A. Maybe a plastic bag for wet/sweaty clothes after showering would be helpful. Otherwise, it's a normal Corepower Yoga. The instructor was nice and on time. There was a guy who smelled, but that's nature. What can anyone do? The room was heated, but not as hot and muggy as other newer locations. Overall, it's pretty good.

The choice of many different level classes, plus the great options of time slots. Personally I love the steam ones. My studio in Sherman Oaks, is always been clean. Behind a desk or teachers have always been polite, of course teach well also. My only gripe is this sculpt class music, is so load, 'which is rightly so should be' I cannot hear my relaxation music, in the standard yoga classes, so pop our music up. High!! As I enjoy hearing my teachers choice of music, to make my yoga flow more smoothly π
Thanks Chris

I appreciate the great costumer service I received from Pete at the call center
My daughter was in the class and her phone was off. I needed her to come home right away
Pete was able to relay the message to my daughter
He even went out of the way and called me again to reassure that we got connected
Thank you pete and core power

I used to love CorePower. I was a member there for a couple years. I loved the teachers, I loved the clients there. It was such an amazing community. Unfortunately they have become too "corporate" and have forgone the basis of what yoga should be. Community, peace, and meditation. The management has adopted a Bully Method and bully qualified teachers out of teaching. They seem to want soldiers that will do everything exactly the same and don't want people that have heart and soul. It seems every time I find a teacher I like, either they leave or their classes are cut. Having a few friends that have gone through the teacher training and extension classes and having gone through their yoga for trade (SET), I see that they are ageists, non-authentic and outright bullies. I have been doing yoga for over 20 years and never have I seen such rudeness.
I moved to Hot8 months ago.

The yoga instructors/teachers at Sherman Oaks Corepower have guided me through a very difficult healing process. After two spinal fusions, hip and jaw surgery, (the aftermath of a very bad car accident) Corepower has literally helped me heal, mentally and physically. I was a runner for most of my life and now I have found a new way to get back in shape, regain strength, and keep my body from getting stiff. At almost 55 years old, I have found a new way to get healthy and stay healthy.

Most important, the facility is kept clean and is sanitized after every class. Secondly, I like the teachers; their explanation of the poses and the form + gentle assistance during the class in correcting the form. Teachers willingness to help after class.

CorePower Yoga is the only yoga studio that I attend. I love CPY but the Sherman Oaks location is second to none. The instructors are great and the ambiance is even better. I always feel strong and also at peace when I walk through the halls of this location. I go out of my way to attend classes here even though I'm closer to other studios. If you're considering trying CPY for the first time, I suggest you make your way soon!

If it wasnt so darn expensive...
Ive tried Bikram Yoga before and CorePower Yoga is by far better!
From cleansiness to the quality of the instructors. I throughly enjoy my first time experience here !
I came with a friend to try out the first week Free today..and i think they got a customer out of me from one class! Parking is free for 2 hrs on the residential streets and than after 6pm its a no parking zone.
CorePower Yoga has 2 studios with lockers and SHOWERS! I was excited about the shower part because i am use to the no showers in Covina..so you literally have to smell your sweaty body all the way home depending on how far you live, and how potent your sweat may stank!
I digress, the hot yoga class we took was with Devon and she was def an enlighten soul. I really like how its dark class room for us to endure the heat and the poses. The moves do increase and it is def POWER hot yoga, so it gets quite fast. Perfect for people that may get bored of a pose, I really how when your starting to get sick of the heat and you want to just give up, the class is over!
It is a bit expensive $200 a month and $85 for the first introductory month!

I think it's a great location. I tried a few different yoga places in the area and this one became my favorite. If I want an easy flow they have that, if I want a hard core workout I can get that as well. I always feel amazing when I leave and I do enjoy the people who attend and the teachers. Great energy. Glad I invested in this location. Oh, & I went to one across town and I enjoyed it as well. So the company is great

This place ROCKS! Its hard to find a good hot yoga spot in LA (unless you live on the westside, maybe). They have a very friendly, kind staff, great classes, not to mention the hip decor . I love love Hot Power Fusion with Krysten and CorePower Yoga 2 and I can't wait to try the yoga sculpt with weights! Parking can be a little tough, so the best time to go is earlier on in the day. They offer a free week for new clients, which awesome, that way you can see if you like it, too!
