I am a very active member of CorePower Westwood but I have been very disappointed lately. As of the last few months this studio has gone downhill. The state of the studio has been disgusting. The floor which the redone a few months ago, has not been cleaned since and every class I take my feet end up black and gross. There were rats found in the Sculpt Room last week which is absolutely disgusting as well. To top it all off the new manager, Delaney, is extremely rude and doesn't listen to any feedback (as evidence of the studio getting worse and worse since she was appointed).
The previous manager, Bennet, was way more responsive and the studio seemed to function extremely well while she was there. Wherever you are, you go girlie!
I really like the rest of the teachers and want to keep coming back but the state of the studio is just terrible and I cannot recommend it anymore.

In LA for the summer and this studio was super close to my apartment so I wanted to try out. Every single instructors were sooo sweet and amazing!! They have themed concept classes sometimes and I always had a great time.
They have showers, hairtie, deodorant, mouthwash, etc which made the whole experience so fun and easy!
Highly recommend if you love exercise but also want a lot of mind-body connections and mindfulness guidance!!

Tried this yoga studio for the first time and loved the energy. The instructor was super grounding and guided the class in a way that felt both challenging and calming. The space was clean, quiet, and had a really peaceful vibe. I left feeling lighter and more centered—definitely coming back.

I was hoping for a great relaxing yoga studio, and whilst some of these classes are with good instructors, many of the classes (95%) are UCLA students who very much can’t read the signs on the doors or understand silence. They can’t stop gossiping for 5 minutes at the beginning of classes. If they want to chat with their friends cause they have no other time to do it they should stay outside the room till they’ve finished.
A lot of the classes don’t start or finish on time so you end up being late and paying for parking.
Also the community class on Sundays which yes I understand is put on free is pretty much a waste of time. If Core Power is going to put this on, you may as well make it good - because if that was a taster for someone to sign up I would definitely not. Class was over packed, no room, started 10 mins late and then after 30 minutes it just turned in to free time and everyone chatting away in their mats. Better off going for a 60 min walk outside. Waste of my Sunday.
Slightly disappointed in the Westwood location and would suggest trying other locations first. This would be last resort. Hoping Brentwood location may be more beneficial, proper yoga practices and people that are their with intention not to just hang out on a mat.

Annabelle’s class is extremely hot and humid. She doesn’t let anyone to open the door for a second to breath. It could cause heart attacks. Her voice and music is not recognizable.

Has a terrible experience here. Their parking lot was blocked off and due to this I had to drive around in circles in order to find parking. I came to the front desk (where no one was found) and then I spoke to staff about what happened and they did not care. They did not let me in the class. Seriously ridiculous and so not understanding!

Yoga sculpt was the perfect combination of yoga postures with a more physical workout. The club is well placed and friendly welcomes the guests. Bravo

Hey there,
Just wanted to share my experience from the 5 P.M. yoga sculpt class with Anabel. I’ve done a ton of yoga sculpt and yoga 2 classes in Corr Power, but honestly, this one didn’t feel like yoga or sculpt at all.
First off, the room was so packed that it was uncomfortable and didn’t have that vibe I’d expect for what we’re paying and is felt always. Plus, the music was super loud techno, and Anabel was basically shouting into the mic to be heard, but it was so muffled no one could understand her. Everyone was just guessing and copying each other, which feels risky for injuries.
Honestly, calling it “yoga sculpt” feels off – the only yoga part was a random downward dog here and there, and ending with “Namaste.” As someone who loves both yoga and sculpt, it’s disappointing not to have a class that actually blends the two. You have other people that do this that are great.
I actually had to leave early, which I never do. Just hoping you’ll consider these points to keep up the quality of the experience. Thanks!

WOW! I took a C2 class with Maddy R. & it was an amazing experience. She guided us through the flows so clearly, which really helped me as a beginner. Her class was very challenging but she offered many alternative positions & encouraged the class to be proud of themselves even if they had to modify. I left feeling so uplifted & strong! Thanks Maddy, I will be coming back to Corepower Westwood!

I’ve been a member of CorePower since 2013, have done nearly a thousand classes and overall, I think it’s great. However the Westwood studio has a problem. First the hygiene in the men’s locker room is substandard. I’ve had to complain about mold in the showers, urinals covered in dust and pubic hair - reeking of piss. Gas station bathrooms are cleaner. My biggest gripe came last week. I noticed that the ceiling of the studio was open, exposing the fiberglass insulation. People who work with fiberglass wear ventilation masks, but I’m expected to take deep breaths knowing there are fiberglass particles blowing around the room?! I called CPY HQ when I got out of the class to let them know, and got a disappointing response. Kind of a “I’ll pass along your complaint, but that’s really not my department” attitude. I was sure they’d seal it up, so I went again a few days later - Nope! Studio management still exposing teachers and students to fiberglass insulation. So I walked out and called again to complain. This time the CPY rep was much more empathetic and I naively thought that they would make sure it was taken care of - Nope! Anyway, here I am writing this negative review as a last resort. I am hoping the Westwood studio reads this and fixes what looks to me like an easy fix. Just re-seal the ceiling tile so your students aren’t exposing themselves to potentially toxic fiberglass particles.
Just wanted to update this 04/30/2024. Still having issues. Exposed fiberglass insulation in the yoga room. They clearly do not care about the health of their customers or employees. I will not be returning to the Westwood location for the foreseeable future.

I was only 3 min late to the class and the girl wouldn’t let me in . I didn’t know Trader Joe validated parking . I feel like she was just being power tripping , but I didn’t make a fuss. I just left.
I fully paid for the class . Sad

I really loved coming here after work. Unfortunately my shoes went home with the wrong person and my Matt strap was stolen. After class I left my new birks in the cubbies outside of the classroom and after class when I was done my pair was gone. All that was left were a pair that looked similar to mine but older and not mine.
I was advised to take the shoes that weren’t mine home and hopefully they come back.
I come back the next day to return the pair and the first instructor ignored me to talk to her friends and then the second instructor just told me to leave them in the lost and found. I also emailed the studio manager and haven’t heard back.
I understand there isn’t much they can do but a little remorse and intention to help go a long way.
I will happily take my review down once the studio at least tries to help me.

I wanted to join this place, but when I stepped into the lobby I was hit with the smell of a high school boys locker room. Smelled like dirty wet old socks and it was so humid. I couldn’t even tolerate it enough to walk to the front desk. Hope they clean up soon. I guess only those who enjoy that environment really like being there

I had a blast at this hot yoga studio! I sweated it out in two fantastic Yoga sculpt classes led by the amazing Annabelle and Ellen A.
Here's the lowdown:
-Vibrant and youthful atmosphere.
-Convenient showers to freshen up post-session.
-Plenty of cubbies for your gear.
-Mat and towel rental - if you don't have your own!
-Bonus: They've got cool merch and yoga clothes for sale.
-Parking options are on point: street meters or valid at the Trader Joe's lot for 1.5 hours.
But, fair warning, it's a packed house like most famous studios in the area. If you crave personalized attention and 1:1 guidance, you might want to look elsewhere.

I would recommend against supporting the Core Power Yoga Westwood location. I signed up for a 5 Pm yoga class and arrived at 5:01 pm. The corepower employee, BIANCA, made me wait in line for five minutes while tending to another patron even though there was an idle core power employee who could have assisted with sign in. BIANCA then refused to let me into the yoga class and was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. The official core power yoga policy is to allow customers in if it is within five minutes of the class start. AVOID Bianca and corepower Westwood. It ruined my Friday evening.

I spent a few weeks in Westwood and CorePower Yoga was right across the street from my apartment so I decided to give it a try. I did a yoga sculpt class and couldn't stop, I was basically there every single day. As a runner, strengthening the core and stretching is so important... this is the perfect class for us runners!10pts coaches, 10 pts staff.

I’m loving my All-Access Membership because every class I’ve been to has been its own unique experience depending on the instructor and time. I’ve loved each class equally but for very different reasons. Whitney’s Thursday night HPF class was a favorite— it was a beautiful experience and a brutal but rewarding workout. Whitney leads with a particular earthy and organic aesthetic made using rhythm, resistance and movement — from music and our bodies.

This is probably the worst customer service experience I've ever had!
I'm black tag member that has been going to corepower for probably 10 years. I went in on September 25 for 5.30pm C2 class with Laura. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take the class because Laura would not let me bring my phone into the class even though it's hidden and on silence in my little wallet. She kept insisting I have to put it in their locker, or leave in the car or at home. I refuse to put my $1200 iPhone into the locker that could be broken into in seconds (and if you read reviews from Julie M or Lance J, they have had theft issues before when things were stolen from their lockers), or stolen from the car. She wouldn't let me take the class stating that even if my phone is hidden in my wallet, it's is still distracting to other students and she knows it's there, so it doesn't matter, I just can't bring it period. I've asked her what happens if it gets lost or stolen. Her response was 'she understands the studio is not responsible for theft, but it's their policy that phones aren't allowed'. She accused me of being disrespectful although when I first came in she completely ignored me while chatting with someone, hugging and making lunch plans. After she finally realized I was standing waiting for her to check me in, she apologized and thanked me for letting her multitask...
Eventually, I asked for the manager but nobody was there at the moment. I told her if she wasn't allowing me to take the class, then I should not have been paying for it and she should have refunded me . She handed me some business card and told me to call this number. Basically I paid for the service that I couldn’t receive.
After I left, I called corepower yoga corporate office and the lady who answered was very pleasant and compassionate. She said she understood my frustration and couldn't believe Laura wouldn't let me take the class. She confirmed that corepower doesn't have a no phone or no purse policy. They don't want you to talk on the phone or being loud or bring 'suitcase in' ( her exact words), but they understand people carry valuable stuff and it's only common sense if your phone is on silence and not visible , there should be no problem (and it's never been during my 10 years of yoga practice.) They were really nice and helpful at the corporate office, but I would strongly suggest to stay away from Westwood location as I'm yet to hear back from their manager, Lila ( it's been over 48 hours since I left voice mail ).
If you chose to go to this location, don't take Laura's classes. Yoga is supposed to be a good, pleasant, and healthy experience, this instructors’ attitude and ignorance made it the exact opposite for me-enough to make me write this review... Lindsey, Nicole P, Ashley Sc, Sara Ta, Michelle Sa.... just to name a few are great. Great teachers, great atmosphere, very helpful and accommodating. Especially enjoy Nicole P., I have taken her Monday 6.30 pm classes a few times and she is absolutely awesome! No wonder her classes are always full. I have never had any problems, my phone has never been used or been a distraction to anyone. Also, I normally go to Sherman Oaks location or Encino and it's always great. Overall, I really enjoy corepower yoga, just stay away from Laura’s class.

Solid yoga studio, not the cheapest, but they have really fabulous instructors. The C1 classes are lightly heated and the HPF classes are hot and a great way to work up a sweat. Been a member for 1 yr. No online reservations like other studios, but that is rarely (once/yr) an issue as they have on the hour and on the half hour during peak times

The fact that they do not offer towels at $30 a class is a bit dissapointing. If you are a commuter, it is not realistic to bring two towels in your car and constantly be washing them.
While I realize that there are costs with washing towels, this is a premium yoga studio, so it should have premium offerings such as towels for class (it's hot yoga) and towels to shower. Charging $2 a towel is not on brand at this level.

Took a class from Alex and he was by far my favorite toga teacher yet! He was very focused on analyzing or postures and gave us each personalized directions in how to improve. Felt more like a private session even though there were plenty of other students there - who I’m sure felt the same way. And it’s a really nice studio with showers and a dressing room with lockers! But parking is only validated for 90 minutes which definitely isn’t enough if you shower. I usually show up 15 minutes early to yoga classes but then that gives me only a few minutes to change after class and walk to my car.

Clean studios. Classes offered are accessible for all levels of yoga. Teachers are engaging and familiar with modifications for any injuries. Schedule of classes are great especially for someone who has a busy schedule. I appreciate how they start classes on time. Be aware -- if you do not arrive on time they lock the door so the ongoing class is not disrupted.

Nice way to work out in Westwood; Lose the Music .... too disruptive with it playing - some of it had a strong techno beat and not very meditative.... teachers keep changing it ever 10-20 minutes which is also distracting. I loved Steven's class but both his and another one I took used music that I've never heard in yoga classes before. Maybe it's my East Coast vibe but it threw me off - having non-yoga music played in yoga class. It felt like a zumba class instead. Beautiful studio... clean, great changing and shower/women's room facilities. You can rent towels, use their mats and buy water here or they have a bubbler. Enjoy! Thanks everyone.

Being perfect is not perfect. Things can be improved. For example, the parking validation for only 90 minutes gives no time to rest after the session. There is no way to dry my hands after washing my hands in the sink. Some classes are too full, and I feel like being in a can of sardines. Otherwise, it's pretty good.
