The coaches and members blend into one happy family that makes crossfit approachable and accessible for all. The trainers and coaches push you enough to help you develop the correct habits for safe movements and lifts while giving you the necessary modifications for your personal fitness level. The goal is to never destroy your body in one go but to go hard enough to make it to tomorrow's class to do it all over again. The veteran members are there to model what consistency looks like and are always open to provide tips and feedback for anyone looking to improve. This community is so tight knit and warm that you'll be wanting to go to every class just to chop it up with them - the workout is just a bonus. I was a member for 3 months before moving out of Fremont but Jigsaw has left an impact that will last a lifetime and I hope to keep in touch with the community and drop in for weekend classes whenever I can.

I joined this gym 7 months ago, and since then, I've really come to appreciate the strong sense of community here. The coaches, Sam, Cat, Leslie, Jason, and David - are welcoming, encouraging, and truly care about helping you improve. A special shoutout to the owner, Tony, who is dedicated to your growth and takes the time to teach proper body mechanics. CrossFit isn't easy, but the team does a great job of breaking down each movement so it's more approachable and safe. It's not just a gym, it's a place where you feel supported every step of the way. Totally recommend for all levels and especially beginners too.

I️ was looking for a place to get some extra speed and strength training for my athlete. So grateful to have come across jigsaw. Coach David has been fantastic. I don’t post reviews all that often, unless I can offer a unique and helpful perspective that might be underrepresented.

I’m a person who gained a lot of weight during the 2020 lockdowns. I was already plus sized to begin with… but ballooned up from 5’8 280 pounds to somewhere around 300+ lbs. I’ve never been particularly athletic, and I’ve always considered myself a touch uncoordinated. I’m not being self deprecating, I’m just being real haha. I add all these details to stress, I’m not in peak athletic form and if you told me I would be 2 classes in at a CrossFit gym even a month ago I would have LAUGHED in your face LOL.

However, Dal, David, and Leslie have been absolutely amazing. Believe me when I say, I wanted to RUN, not walk to the exit after the first 10 minutes, but I stuck through it, and I’m so glad I did.

Every coach I’ve met so far has been so encouraging, and attentive to my form. So if you’re someone who’s been out of the exercise game for a bit, and you’re remotely interested in getting stronger and more fit. Check this place out. The staff here will meet you where you are and get you to where you want to be.

Coming from a person who has had weight and fitness fluctuations since high school, if I can survive the first couple of days here, you can too! The most difficult part was walking through the door the first time, if you show up once ready to try your best, these trainers will take you wherever in your fitness journey you want to go next.

Coach David helped my son to start.
Our concern was my son is not stand/sit straight. We knew it is because he's not strong enough. But we don't know exactly where.
David created personalized trainings for him and helped him a lot. We do see a lot of improvements. The most obvious one, his legs do not seem to be one longer and the other shorter.

Coach David was awesome!!!! He helped my son who had issue with his running form and he identified the issue quickly and focused on the muscles that needed to work properly.
We had some private sessions and youth classes so far but his running form is much better and we will continue to work on it during the youth class.
We really appreciate his knowledge and effort to work our schedule.

This review is long overdue! For over a year, Crossfit Jigsaw has been my gym home and Ive loved every moment so far. I was welcomed to Jigsaw with open arms and have an amazing gym family now. I've also been able grow so much in this time despite having some personal setbacks. Coach Cat, Sean, David, and Sam are some of the best coaches I've experienced in my fitness journey! They truly make showing up to class fun and challenging all in one .

Though Im a regular in the group classes, I must add that Coach David is an amazing personal trainer! I wanted to get better at overhead squats and David set an amazing program plan that has helped me so much with my daily workouts. During the programing, David fine tuned my form in the squat position which has not only allowed me lift heavier but most importantly took away lingering pain.

Definitely recommend Crossfit Jigsaw !

I come to CrossFit Jigsaw to have private sessions with Coach David Gonzales. He is so professional and nice. It has been two months, and I have enjoyed every session so far. At first he had a free consultation session for me to understand my goal, what’s my baseline, diet, schedules, etc. He is so knowledgeable that he taught me the exercises that target muscles I want to build, how to breathe, how to ease discomfort, and how to supplement nutrition to the workout. Now I’m feeling much better in mobility, strength and my appearance. Being a mom of young kid, I also feel more capable of carrying a 30 lbs toddler for a long time without back pain, and more energetic to play with my kid. Highly recommend Coach David!

Second time reviewing after starting a post-pandemic :) It has been an amazing 18 months till now. Best box in the bay area ! I started with an intro program with Coach Cat before pandemic! She is very attentive and helps you to get the basics of crossfit in a right and fun way :). I have worked with all coaches in the gym: Coach Sean, Sam, EJ, Jason and David and you can't go wrong with anyone. They are all amazing and have different methods of coaching in their own way. They are all very attentive to detail, encouraging, and fun to work with.

I recommend this gym even if you are totally out of shape. Owner Dal has not only created a good fitness center but also created an awesome supporting community. He is one of the best coaches around for sure. He is an awesome owner and you can really see he cares about his clients. The community is so motivating and inspiring. I not only love the gym, but the people as well.

Coach Samantha is my inspiration. As a teacher myself, I look for quality of instruction. Someone who is going to educate you beyond the set material. She is clear from her warmups to the breakdowns of the movement, all while being fun. Not only as a coach, but watching her keeps me motivated to push to the next level. I had to adjust my conflicting schedule just so I can make it to Coach Sams class, as I was having too much fomo.

Also Coach Dal is really good at getting you out of your comfort zone and to keep pushing you forward. He sees your potential before you see it yourself. Under his instruction, the list of skills to learn is never-ending. You achieve one new skill, and before you process it he has already told you the next level to work towards.

Overall, everything about this place has been so great. Its allowed me to expand my knowledge of strong. I thought I was always strong, but only when I joined here I realized theres so much more. Being able to physically feel the difference each day, keeps me wanting to keep showing up.

I joined Jigsaw a couple years ago when we moved to Fremont after coming from another Box in the East Bay. Dal was so quick to respond to my inquiry, and I was able to take a trial class the same day! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed even though I was a new face. Catering to all levels of fitness, the coaches are amazing and the community is unmatched.
It's harder to take classes regularly these days due to my schedule, but every time I do drop in, it always feels like home. So glad I found Jigsaw and this fit community! 100% recommend!!!

Jigsaw has always been my happy place for the past many years. The owner Dal is one of the best coaches and best human being to me. I recently started personal training with Coach David who has made working out so much more rewarding! He is very serious about what he does, in other words, he does a very good job, at every single session! When I told him a couple of my goals when I first started, he seemed to have developed an amazing plan for me because I was doing different movements (not getting bored at all), and was able to see the improvement in my strength in just a few days! I have learned so much from him in a short period of time, seemingly small things but make a huge difference. I’ve been very impressed! I have been training with David Gonzalez for about two months now. He's always encouraging and pushes me to work hard. This is one of the best gyms you will ever go to. The workouts are fun. Everyday is different and you learn to challenge yourself more. Dal and other coaches are great and give great feedback on form. If you are unable to do a workout the coaches will give you enough scaling options.

Every week is programmed in a way so that you get to do a combination of strength, functional movements, gymnastics.

The best part of this gym is the community. People are super cool and warm and everyone pushes each other during workouts. I will definitely miss this gym and will keep visiting whenever I can.

I've popped in and out of Jigsaw Athletics for a few years now and it has consistently been a very enjoyable experience. I first started at Jigsaw on the recommendation of my sister and have had the same quality of class each time.

For the most part each workout consists of a warm-up phase where the coach goes through a walkthrough of the motions we would be doing in the subsequent sets. The coach will ask new members of any existing injuries that they need to be aware of and will adjust the workouts accordingly to compensate. After the warm-up is a mixture of strength or cardio training depending on the day.

The community of members have been friendly and open to new members all the time. Check-in and account management is handled by an app which makes everything easier. Also parking is never a problem there.

Great gym, period. Dropped in for a month while in the Bay Area for work. I've been doing crossfit for 5+ years across 3 different states and as many gyms, and Dal's programming gave me a greater appreciation for high intensity and had me reevaluating what I look for in a gym. I've been a member at one gym with high turnover that was always geared towards beginners but frustrating for those with more experience, as well as another that leans toward the opposite extreme - very aggressive programming that is great for advanced people but leaves many rehabbing their bad shoulders... This gym nicely threads the needle between those two ends of the spectrum, with prescribed workouts that are challenging for experienced athletes while still being completely scalable and accessible to beginners. Warm-ups are extremely thorough, involving a decent amount of what seemed to me to be similar to power yoga and a decent workout in their own right, so your body gets completely primed for the workout of the day. We did not do much heavy lifting while I was there, but my body was no less sore after hard workouts because of Dal's emphasis on high intensity.

It also seemed they have a really good community there. Folks were very welcoming to me as a newcomer.

Plenty of space and nice equipment, too. They even have ski ergs, which I had never used before.

In short, great programming, welcoming community, and nice facilities. Can't ask for much more.
