The Masters class at Crossfit Proprius is spot on.
If you want to increase your mobility & learn strengthening moves for lifelong sustainability, then what are you waiting for? All the coaches are supportive & well versed in giving options if you can’t do a particular movement.
Coach Maryanne is the Masters coach & she is incredibly talented.
This is an inclusive gym… everyone is welcome!!

I’ve been doing CrossFit Proprius Master for one year.
I love it !
I am substantially stronger in my legs and core .
If I’m on the ground I can get up easily .
It has improved my swimming and resolved some low back pain.
Our teacher Maryanne and the other staff are wonderful , friendly , great explainers .
Every movement and weight has modifications so anyone can participate.
I have really enjoyed my fellow master CrossFit students !
It’s a great community !!

I started coming to Crossfit Proprius In February 2024 and I’ve been consistently coming three days a week for the last 10 months. Before that I was a regular Gym goer 4-5 days a week and never really focused on my diet. I was always curious about Crossfit, but I always heard that people that try to do Crossfit have to be super in shape and athletic. Otherwise you get hurt because all they do is make you lift heavy without proper guidance and training. But from my experience, it’s been a complete opposite. The coaches I get to train and learn from are amazing people who are patient and very knowledgeable about their craft. I was told from day one to leave my ego out and just focus on technique. That’s exactly what I did. Because with proper technique that you won’t get hurt and the weight will come. Since I started, I’ve lost 15% of my body fat and gained 8% of muscle. I’ve really focused on my diet more than I ever have. The main thing is consistency and putting in the work. There is no instant gratification. It’s a marathon not a sprint. While coming here over the last 10 months I’ve met a lot of amazing people. People that have been new like me to people that have been coming here and doing this for years. Everybody is friendly, welcoming and willing to help you. It’s amazing community and I think everyone who’s into fitness and wants to try something different will really be surprised on what you can get out of it.

Love this gym. As a senior athlete, I need my coaches to oversee my efforts. The coaches here are excellent and work with me . I couldn’t be more pleased. If you are older and want to improve your fitness, this is the place. Every move can be modified to your ability. The new facility is fantastic. I love starting my day at Proprius.

I first joined CrossFit back in 2017, and can I tell you the community is unlike any I have ever experienced! Just recently the gym moved to a new location giving it a fresh look, energy and new opportunity to get to know the community in a whole new way. I love the space, it starts my day out on a good foot, even if I show up in a tough head space by the end of a workout my mood has changed, some hottie has taken a shirt off and I have been supported through the workout. All skill levels are welcome and no one shames you for starting where you are at. It’s changed my idea of what a workout can be. A must come and try for yourself. Thank you Crossfit Proprius for helping and supporting me on the daily!

My friends & I came into town for a long weekend to celebrate my birthday and CFP was close to our Airbnb. THANK GOODNESS! Beejan and all of the coaches and members were so nice and welcoming! We all felt like we were apart of the family! The space is great, the workouts were awesome, and the people were the best. I will definitely drop back in when I find myself back in the area!

I had taken some time off from CrossFit and decided to try out a new gym. From day one, the coaches and members have been welcoming and supportive. They have allowed me to feel comfortable challenging myself with my training, offering advice and guidance to help progress my training at my own pace. I really enjoy all the scaled options available for each WOD so I am able to adjust based on my abilities. SSA has also been a great environment where I can leave the stresses of the day at the door, work out, push myself, then leave feeling confident and ready to tackle the rest of my day. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to begin or continue with CrossFit!

Ever since Sonoma Strength Academy changed owners I have never been more motivated and excited to go to the gym every morning. I look forward to the workouts and more importantly the friendships I've developed over the years. The owner, whom I love dearly, and the whole SSA team work hard to create an inclusive, safe, friendly, exciting and fun environment where you can go and workout at any level and feel successful and proud of the effort you just put in. Seriously, this place is awesome. This is where you need to go if you want to get fit.

My main hobby has always been adult ballet classes. About a year ago I started training at a local gym to get stronger for dance. I struggled with figuring out what to do at the gym. I sort of just bounced between machines with no focus. It wasn't efficient and I was struggling to see results. The only times I ever got a great workout in, is when I worked with a trainer. Working with a trainer is great, but can be very pricey.

Long story short, I've heard of CrossFit many times and was always intrigued. I knew that CrossFit provided a "workout of the day". This is what I wanted. I was tired of guessing what I should do at the gym. I love that I can show up, do the scheduled workout, feel great, and go home. CrossFit may seem expensive, but it is a great value. You always have a coach there to help you with your form, and the workouts are planned. It's basically the same as working with a trainer, but you're in a class environment, which is very motivating.

So I decided to go and try a class at Sonoma Strength Academy. I was pretty nervous, it seemed very intimidating. The owner Beejan (who is extremely helpful) reached out to me and encouraged me to try a class. He found out I was a nurse and informed me that they offer a great discount for nurses!

After just one class, it was obvious that this place is extremely welcoming to new people. It was also clear that all fitness levels are welcome. Every workout can be scaled. So literally anyone can do the daily workouts. The coaches will show you the modifications that you can do.

The head coach Chuck encouraged me to take "on-ramp" classes with him (which I recommend doing). Taking these classes helped me learn the basic foundational movements of CrossFit. I was able to feel more confident when I joined regular classes. Chuck is a fantastic coach who has helped me tremendously since I've started (and he has great taste in music). You can tell he cares about the members and their progress.

The other coach I've worked with since starting is Jessica, she's so amazingly helpful. She's very encouraging to new people (such as myself) and has also given me great tips about recovery at home. You can tell she's passionate about being a coach.

The location is a great and the gym is huge. Right now during the pandemic, the workouts are being performed outside. Which has been going smoothly (I actually really love exercising outside). I heard that they have plans to move their already large gym, into an even larger building right next door. Also- there is plenty of parking here, which is very convenient.

The gym has new owners, and it appears that they are putting their heart and soul into making improvements to this establishment. I have not been a member for long, but I can tell this CrossFit gym is going places.

Every class I attend I leave I feeling stronger. The people who attend this gym are friendly and welcoming. There is a real sense of camaraderie and community. I'm glad I found this place! I plan on sticking around for many years to come.

I flew in on Sunday, and decided to give this box a shot. I enjoyed this box. Jessica was the coach and friendly environment. They do a free trial when you drop by. Unlike Crossfit Northgate. They care only about profit ($25) for a drop in. Spent $75 for 3 days and did not feel it at all. Crossfit Proprius is worth the time! Enjoyed my workout and there was only 3 of us during the 5:30 class, but nailed the workout!

This CrossFit box was on point when I dropped in at 6 AM! Coach Justin was wide-awake and knowledgeable, all the athletes very welcoming. The class I was in had some great lifters. I appreciated the friendly atmosphere and work out!
