OK, this is going to be long—but it’s way overdue and well warranted.
I’ve been coming to Crosstown CrossFit for nearly 10 years, and I’ve had a front-row seat the whole way. I was a little hesitant to try CrossFit at first because of what I’d heard from others, but I’m so glad I gave it a shot. I only wish I’d started sooner. I’ve made more progress, hit more goals, and built deeper relationships here than I ever could have expected. I’m better for it—physically, mentally, and that has benefited every other facet of my life. I'm a better father, a better leader, and a better asset to any team I’m on, simply because I have placed myself in a position to be coached/trained and invested in by Crosstown for 1 hr daily.
Our head coach is a true inspiration. He’s approachable, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. No ego. No gimmicks. Just a man who walks his talk. He puts in the work, leads from the front, and runs a tight ship—creating an environment where anyone can show up and feel welcomed and part of something bigger than themselves. Whether you’re a beginner or a beast, you’ll feel welcomed, challenged, and encouraged. And its worth noting he’s built like a brick house for a reason—because he eats out of his own kitchen. He does the same workouts he programed for us to do, week in and week out. That’s what makes him physically inspiring. But what really sets him apart is that he handles his business. And all of us who train here are the beneficiaries of that.
On top of that, out of all the years I’ve been coming, I’ve seen and been coached by every coach that’s rolled through this gym—and every single one has been flat-out great. Crosstown doesn’t miss when it comes to hiring leaders who care, lead well, pay attention and know their stuff.
I also deeply value the fact that our programming isn’t random. It’s built by someone educated, experienced, and invested—our coach. He personally writes the warm-ups, the WODs, and the extra credit. That’s one of the biggest reasons I started, and one of the biggest reasons I stay.
Before Crosstown, I spent a few years training with buddies—some were even great personal trainers—but we always gave ourselves a little too much slack. Here, the dynamic is different. The work ethic is contagious. Everyone—every age, every body type, every level—can show up and work hard at their own pace and still push themselves. It’s iron sharpening iron in real time. And that’s where the gains live.

I joined Crosstown about 6 weeks ago and I am so thankful that I found a place that has amazing coaches and some really cool members that make you feel like you have been there for years. I have been going 4-5 times per week and look forward to going back each time. I learn so much after each class. I love that it is not just a workout but really educational. The coaches take the time to make sure you understand the movements and the correct form. I know when I go to class, I am going to work hard and have fun at the same time. I can say without a doubt that Crosstown has changed my life for the better already...I have more energy to keep up with my kids and I feel stronger every day. If you are looking for a crossfit gym where they are going to welcome you with open arms and everyone knows your name from day 1, I highly recommend Crosstown.

I first found crosstown CrossFit through ClassPass and it has quickly become my favorite place to workout! The trainers are great and walk you through all the workouts for the day. Greg was also very helpful walking me through the common exercises at first. Starting off, I knew nothing of CrossFit but it has become my only means of working out. The community is also great, all the other members encourage each other and motivate each other to finish the routines. I can gladly say I am a member of crosstown CrossFit.

What a great/friendly gym. All the members make you feel comfortable from day one.
Greg and Robert have been super attentive to my concerns with back and knee limitations, ensuring that I maintain good form the whole time. This has given me confidence to resume exercises I had abandoned in the last five years. My weekly participation is still light, but I do look forward to the time in the near future when can more practically attend four+ days per week.

This was the first CrossFit gym I went into. I was skeptical. Despite an unchecked ego, I was kindly greeted, coached and eventually became a friend, member, and coach (hopefully a humbler one at that). Crosstown has everything you want in a community. They can support your health, build your relationships, and improve your mindset if you give them a chance and a smile.

I’ve been going to Crosstown since 2018 (took two years off during COVID). I have seen this place and its community grow and change so much, but it continues to have the same great heart and ethics at the center of it all! When I started, I was almost 40 and so out of shape. The coaches and community are so supportive and everything can be scaled so that anyone, at any age, at any level can be successful here.
Give it a try; you won’t regret it (once you get past the first week)—Expect to be sore and questioning your life choices at first and then expect to be surprised by how hooked you become!

I was visiting Thousand Oaks area and wanted to get my workouts in while traveling. All the coaches were super welcoming and they focused more on my workouts rather than trying to sell their membership. I can tell that they have a great community and they value their fitness culture more than just profits. Don’t get me wrong, the gym is very spacious and plenty of barbells and bumper weights to go around. I had great workouts for a week and I wish I had the same gym/community where I live! There are so many things to say about being a member here. I never imagined looking forward to working out every day. The workouts are hard, however, i feel like I have a personal trainer on a daily basis. Robert and Daniella are constantly making sure my form is correct and giving me options if there are exercises I can’t do yet. Greg (the owner) is passionate about teaching and seeing to it that everyone understands the correct way to success. Crosstown CrossFit has been the best workout facility for me. As a women in her 60’s, I wasn’t sure I’d like it or fit in. Both misconceptions were false. I love the variety of movements; cardio, weights, flexibility incorporated in each workout and modified to my ability. I also love the tribe of women I workout with at 6:30am. Not only they have all the space and equipment to utilize to get a great workout in, but the atmosphere of people in the community with very hands on method approached coaches makes the environment all around more excitingly and fun! This is a great place for any level athlete. The coaches are amazing and will work with you to help you achieve your goals, including fitness, nutrition, and so much more. If you are unable to perform an exercise or move, there are always alternatives. I have been coming here since February 2023 and love it! I have lost just over 20lbs and my mental health has also improved. I am in a job that is not rewarding and I'm underpaid. Coming to Crosstown Crossfit is what I look forward to most after work. This is one of the best gyms + communities in Moorpark! The workouts are diverse. You learn how to do Olympic lifts as well as body weight exercises and some gymnastics. They help you grow and Greg and Robert are not only coaches, but good people willing to be your friends. Excellent place, which I recommend with all my enthusiasm.
CTCF has a 5 star review for a good reason. Man, I almost want to cry leaving this place and Moorpark. The owner was very generous with any circumstances that arose affecting attendance.

My workout journey has always been cardio: running, riding, and swimming. So when I came to CrossTown, I was looking to learn more functional training, Weights and High Intensity Training. I've been going since the beginning of the year. When I began, I was suspicious because of how crossfit people act in gyms. This gym and these people are NOT that. They spend time on form to avoid injury. They encourage you to be better and understand everyone's limitations are different.
My body is visibly firming. I've done the personal training 1:1 sessions, classes, and the nutrition guided 6-week program. If you're new to crossfit or looking for a change to the crowded gyms and want to start seeing safe, fast change, sign up here. Put in the work, consider the nutrition guidance plan. Open the door to feeling better, and if you want it, looking better. I haven't found a workout thats had these impactful results at any other place in the 16+ years I've been exercising. Get out of the big box gym and make it worth it. Don't like it? Go back to your gym and part as family from this one.

I have been going to CrossTown CrossFit for almost a year and it has easily become part of my daily routine. CrossFit to many including myself sounded intimidating but Greg’s team of instructors guide you and can scale down/up any and all workouts to my fitness level and abilities. They do this on the go in a positive and motivating way without judgement. I’m turning 50, have lost more than 20lbs of bad weight, increased my mobility and feel more energetic and healthy thanks to Greg and his team. Greg and the other coaches do an excellent job of teaching technique, ensuring everyone is moving properly, and providing options for scaling based on injury and ability. No other gym even compares. I have been going to this gym for 8 years and the quality of training keeps on improving. After many reluctant years, I finally got my mom to sign up before her knee replacement and it significantly improved her recovery. She loves going and even attends multiple times a week. The coaches are always willing to work with you to create a work out suited for your skill set, avoid injuries, and strengthen your body to help improve any imbalances. The training keeps me fit, the coaches are personable and teach me new skills everyday, and the community keeps me coming back. I highly recommend this gym to everyone.

BEST CROSS FIT GYM EVER! They take there time really focusing on everyones form and always have a solid warm up to reduce any chance of injury. I came here to help prepare for U.S Army Ranger corse and when I showed up to Ranger school I was ahead of the game. The gym is great for first time crossfiters or for seasoned crossfiters. The team is very professional and Greg the mountain is a God.

This gym is SO much more than a gym! I came from Gold’s looking to learn a little beyond traditional gym machines and get some muscle gain and can not believe how much I have actually gained in every area of my life. This facility is very spacious, open, fresh air is always flowing, you get individualized professional and expert instruction on how to move weights, use your body properly to develop foundational skills (like squats, push ups, pull ups, step ups, etc) and nutrition insights that you will keep for your entire lifetime. And you get these things every day! People are setting and accomplishing so many goals of different sizes all around you and the family vibes are so awesome. Every class time slot is great in its own way. Every skill you learn here is applicable in your every day life, in some way, it really is a cool and unique method to achieving fitness and finding who your best self really is! I’ve been able to compare this CrossFit gym to some others out of town and crosstown stands out the most with its extremely well thought out programming and detailed warm ups and cool-down mobility options. I feel so lucky this gym is right here in our own community. My teenager (never has been a part of a sport before besides some little league bball) started taking classes with me at 14 years old and it’s also the BEST decision I’ve ever made with him. In some ways just showing up, when teen life was really getting him down, was and still is his life line. He’s grown so much! Highly recommend this gym to any fitness level person looking to improve their quality of life in some way!

Such an amazing CrossFit gym! The owner, Greg, is so cool and really cares about the members! He goes above and beyond to help you meet your goals and modify things if necessary. Crosstown is the best!! I joined about 10 months ago and I’ve been hooked since day one. The workouts are challenging and fun. The gym is spacious and clean and offer plenty of classes throughout the day so it’s easy to find a time to go.
