Working out with my now 13‑year‑old son is one of the ways we spend quality time together. I let him lead the way, and I just feel lucky to have a son who actually enjoys hitting the gym with me. Over the years we’ve had memberships at many gyms and visited several Crunch locations, but the Serramonte Crunch is hands‑down our favorite.

- The layout is fantastic, especially the squat stations. My son loves them, and I love that they’re set up in the functional training area, which doubles as a stretching and yoga space. It’s versatile and has everything you need.
- The weight floor is impressive — top‑notch equipment, all new and intuitive, with multiple machines of each type so you’re rarely waiting around. The dumbbells are well organized too.

A couple of small complaints: members don’t always put weights back where they belong, and once I had a class where too many people were allowed in despite the reservation system.

That said, I want to give a huge shout‑out to the club manager, Mervin. He’s the one who signed us up, and he always greets us when we come in. He’s there almost every day, handling everything from sign‑ins to complaints. One time I had an issue with some unsupervised teens messing around with weights in an unsafe way, and Mervin addressed it immediately. I’ve also seen him step in to cover staff breaks, keep towels stocked, and generally make sure the gym runs smoothly.

I was coming here 3–5 times a week for about six months straight, and every time I left impressed by how well Mervin manages the place. He deserves recognition for keeping this location welcoming, safe, and well‑run.

at the end of the day, Crunch at Seramonte has become me and my son's favorite, because it's welcoming, well run, and a place where me and my son genuinely enjoy spending time with each other.

I highly recommend Ian for fitness coaching and training. I was fortunate to be trained by him, and his impact went far beyond just physical instruction. Ian is exceptional at educating clients about overall health, transforming my approach from having "no clue" in the gym to feeling confident and significantly better. He provided the guidance and motivation necessary to achieve my best physical shape. If you need a knowledgeable and inspiring coach, definitely request Ian. He is a 10/10 recommendation.

Outdated equipment, a little unkept (staff sits around while guests leave towels everywhere, weights left out, etc), plenty of safe parking, friendly-ish staff.

starting to not be worth the value as price increases.

The spin room is never open when needed, every day this week it’s been blocked off for staff. There is no other place to do spin, this is ridiculous, why can’t they do meetings in an office instead of an area we pay to use?

UPDATE: They asked me to email them, but why would I? What I want is simple, keep the services that we pay for open... I suggest they respond publicly about this instead of trying to keep it private.

Recently, this schedule was found. Beware!! They don't care about members who may work, say, morning shifts, and this is their time to workout. To be clear: These bikes do not exist anywhere else in the gym, its the ONLY place to do this and they are now closing it for a majority of the day.

SPIN STUDIO CLOSED:
Tuesday: 10am to 4pm
Wednesday: 9am to 4pm
Thursday: 9am to 3pm
Friday: 10am to 4PM

I signed up for a personal training on July 21st and the next day I called/emailed asking to cancel my personal training and requested a refund. I emailed, followed up with a phone call the manager keeps saying I will look into it and I will get back with you but he never did all sorts of excuses. This is really frustrating, they are so nice and very helpful when you sign up with them but when it comes to cancellation and refund they are like ghost who disappears in thin air. It is really difficult to communicate with the manager. No updates or anything. It feels like that they are avoiding me and do not have any intentions of giving me the refund that I am requesting for. This is my first time experiencing this type of issue. This is very BAD and FRUSTRATING...VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I ended up cancelling after I was promised an upgrade months back after referring people. since i am moving away from my home gym location, it would have been helpful to have that promised upgrade. It has been months and still no upgrade and very difficult to communicate with the manager. No updates or anything.

Now I am left with multiple charges on my card without being able to workout due to weeks-month long of pulling teeth from Crunch Daly Staff.

July 22, 2025 GREAT TRAINER KIRBY. After only 3 sessions of Ass & Abs taught by Kirby the pain at my lower back pain & hips (that I couldn’t shake off for 8 weeks) was 90% better. Kirby channeled his energy to us of whom the average age must be over 50! His patience was equal to his knowledge. I learned so much from the tips he shared. One of the best trainers I have known. 🌷

April 2025 NEW & BETTER SOAPS 👍
This month new Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash soaps were installed in the shower stalls of our lady locker room. They are much nicer products with light fresh fragrance not parfumery at all. I tried them all and were very happy with them. Don’t use too much conditioner because it will flatten your hair. Just enough and your good smelling hair will look so healthy and it will dance in the wind. Thank you Serramonte Crunch. And special thanks to our ladies of the Cleaning Team. 🙏😊

March 2025 GOOD NEWS FOR OUR LADY CRUNCHERS 👍👍
We have NEW shower heads installed last week. A 100% improvement. It feels so nice and rewarding to have a decent hot shower after our workout. Clean locker room, white towels, nice sauna, hot shower—my prescription for my tired muscles and joints.

Crunch does help keep the doctors away for me. Much appreciated. 🍁🙏🍁

My 2024 UPDATE—5 stars for our Cleaning Team.
Yesterday two ladies of Crunch cleaning team were giving our 4 shower stalls a Deep Cleaning. While waiting for them to finish so I could take my shower, I was so impressed by the quality of their works. They practically Deep cleaned the walls, ceilings, doors. They even overturned the shower bench to clean the under side. When done they wiped dry the stall doors. Such a thorough jobs from our cleaning ream. Furthermore, there no strong cleaning chemical or chlorine smell but everything was nicely clean. I think we have an in-house professional team. No need to look outside of Crunch.THANK YOU LADIES 🍁🙏🍁9/5/2024

😡🤬 DANGER - THIEF/VES BROKE INTO 3 LOCKERS TODAY @ 8PM🥵🥵
Still waiting for manager to arrive. Crunch should have Police investigate. Members should have minimal items with them all the time. This is a Pro job of a team, not just a songle person. Info from Crunch clock in system should help.

STILL 5 STARS from me.
7/31/2022
After 3 months coming back to this Daly City Crunch I continue to enjoy the clean and spacious environment at this gym. The lockers remain well ventilated and clean. The towels remain well washed and well supplied. The soaps and lotion well refilled. I…well, remain happy.

I can see that the place begins to thrive even though BA-5 is still with the world.
For those fortunate ones, me among them 😊, who no longer have to stick with a work schedule, we can come during the slow period and enjoy our work out and relax in the sauna much better. This gym is so important in helping us maintain a strong immune system during this Covid time. I would recommend to anyone to come here at least 4 times a week.

8 YOGA SESSIONS PER WEEK. 🙏😊
4/30/2022
Best news in town for those of us who love Yoga. The variety of practice offered at this Crunch is amazing. The large room gives us plenty of space. The good ventilation provides fresh air. The scheduled times varies from 9 AM to noon to 7 PM. The teachers are knowledgeable and caring. This amazing practice that stretches the whole body, stregthens the joints, speeds up the blood circulation, fortifies the immune system is available at a very reasonable monthly membership fee. (At other Yoga studios, one hour of yoga alone costs $20 to $25.) Here at Crunch, in addition to the 8 yoga classes offered, I got to wind down after my Practice with a nice shower and a restorative sauna time.
To my ‘yogi’ gals (and guys) I don’t believe you can get any better deal than this Daly City Crunch yoga program. Namaste to all 🙏🧘🏻‍♀️
PS. Please REDUCE the music volume in our Ladies locker room. Can’t relax after a nice sauna. Can’t have a chat with a friend without shouting. PLEASE. PLEASE.

This was a good gym until last year when the 24 Hour Fitness in Daly City closed. Then all of those members started coming here, making this Crunch so crowded that it's basically not usable between about 5:30pm and 9:30pm Mondays through Wednesdays. (I have tried every time in that range many times.) If you do decide to come during those hours, you will wait for every single machine or bench you want to use. Often someone else is already waiting too, so you end up in a queue of people. Now multiply that by every machine you want to use, and you can see why I say the gym is "basically not usable" during those days/times.

Lately they ran out of wipes for wiping down the machines, which is just another symptom of the demand grossly exceeding the capacity of the gym.

So if you can find a time to workout other than Mon-Wed after 5pm, or you have lots of time to wait around for equipment and a strong immune system (tons of people packed in close to one another), then this is a pretty good gym. Otherwise, you're better off driving farther out of your way to find somewhere that isn't so ridiculously crowded.

Do not even bother signing up here because they will refuse you if you are not living around the area. I move to Daly city from Tracy and i was looking around for a gym to sign up and the front desk were asking me a proof that i live in Daly city, But since i just moved to the area i haven't change my address on my drivers license yet. they are charging way too high and yet you get a rude customer service. I was planning on going back again to see if i can sign up now but I've red all these bad reviews, i might as well go to planet fitness for a cheap price

BEST GYM WITHIN 25 MILES RADIUS.

SAFE Serramonte area. Easy PARKING . HOURS: Open 5 am to 11 pm. Large FACILITIES with a greatest number of EQUIPMENTS. Many, many CLASSES—cardio, weights, yoga, abs, dance…Super clean ladies LOCKER room. Incredible SAUNA. Clean white TOWELS provided. Very reasonable monthly FEE. No agreement to get stuck to.

Where can you find the same qualities with the same price in this area of the Bay? I have been to Fitness USA in the old Stonestown shopping Center (50 years ago) then in Daly City before they closed, to the 24HR gyms in Daly City and Milbrea where the membership was paid by my health insurance. Nowhere is compared to our Daly City Crunch where I choose to pay out of picket so I can enjoy all the benefits listed above.

Last but not least Daly City Crunch is 1 mile from my home but it helps me keep the doctors many, many miles away from me for more than 10 years now. (So sad I don’t have the Loyalty discount but it’s ok.)

So, I hope that many of you realize what a nice gym we have here in Daly City and stop complaining.

Yes, yes, there are many people at peak hours; sometimes they ran out of towel; sometimes the staff use the white towels for our use to clean the floor;the girls still get in the sauna in their workout clothes and even have their shoes on the bench; some point their phone at others in the sauna; some spent 15 minutes in front of the mirror trying desperately to find a good angle for a body shot…These are more people issues than the gym itself. We can easily ignore them and just focus on making a good time at the gym for ourselves.

I still have Five Stars for you, Daly City Crunch. 👍💜

Be careful with Crunch, they practically refuse to let you cancel. I went in person to cancel my membership months ago (because they wouldn’t let me do it online or over the phone) and even after doing that, they continue to charge me monthly and say I never cancelled. I’ve gotten my bank involved and they can’t really do anything besides suggesting I go in person to dispute the charge (which I already did) or involve a lawyer. The dispute is still ongoing.

It’s a fine gym for working out, just know they are slimy when it comes to cancelling and do not care about the customer at all.

Crunch at Daly City was the first gym I’ve ever joined, so I’m no expert, but joining and working with several trainers over the past year and a half has been an incredible experience.

I want to call out the trainers Junro, and Mia for being so helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and thoughtful. I also want to call out the managers Mervin and AJ for all of their support - every staff member I’ve interacted with has been stellar.

The gym can get busy but I don’t have to wait long for any particular piece of equipment, and having access to a sauna after a workout is practically worth the price of admission on its own. The location is convenient, the facility is clean and tidy (awesome maintenance staff). If you can afford some training sessions and are on the fence, go for it! I’m not exaggerating when I say this place and these people have changed my life!

Good, not very spacious yet well maintained. Nothing fancy but has a small receiving/waiting area with comfortable sofas. Convenient location to go for a good workout. It's within a mall, yet its only access door is from one side next to the covered and open parking lots.

Got those equipment/machines for any level of fitness training. They have pretty much all you need, including towels and a sauna by the shower & locker rooms. They have aerobic classes, including Zumba, which is quite popular in this location.

I am extremely disappointed with the unethical practices and poor customer service at Crunch Fitness in Daly City, especially under the management of Karlo Miguel Ramos (Manager on Duty) and Yessica Torres (Operations Manager). My girlfriend and I had been members for over a year without issues--until we tried to cancel.

Here's what happened:

False Cancellation & Unjust Fees - I canceled my membership, but they claimed it was "too late" and charged me 50(myfee)+50(myfee)+50 (add-on member) + $15 (declined card fee), despite us not stepping foot in the gym during that entire billing cycle.

More Surprise Charges - A month later, they claimed my girlfriend's membership wasn't canceled and demanded another 50+20 late fee, even though we hadn't used the gym in over two months!

Refusal to Refund - Despite providing proof that we never used the gym during these billing periods, they refused to refund the fraudulent charges.

Threats to Credit - Instead of resolving the issue, they threatened to send us to collections, ruining our credit over their own billing errors.

This is predatory behavior--Crunch Fitness Daly City will drain every penny they can before you leave. I've been to gyms in multiple states and never experienced such dishonesty until now.

Avoid this gym at all costs! Terrible management, shady billing, and zero accountability. I will never recommend Crunch Fitness to anyone.

Next Steps: Since they refuse to correct these wrongful charges, I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the California State Consumer Protection Agency to hold them accountable for their deceptive practices.

Overpriced for what you get. 1 Pec deck Machine that’s never open. Don’t bother asking to go after, somebody probably already waiting as well. Working in is always a no, which I don't even blame them either cause they were already waiting. Dance room is basically impossible to be in during the week, always a class during rush hour. If there’s not a class then they are probably cleaning. Even during slow hours the gym is probably full. Bench area is always packed. They do keep the locker rooms pretty clean which is a huge pro but it should be the standard in all gyms. Used to be a member during 2020 when the gym was outside, paid 30ish dollars a month. Signed back up this year, Paid around 120 to activate the membership for 1 LOCATION, Then 55 monthly. Unfortunately tho, this is somehow the best semi balanced gym Near San francisco unless you’re willing to drive 25+ to a better gym.

Walked in and waited in line after two other customers just for front desk person to act like I wasn’t there and I had to get her attention , while she pretended to be busy . Came in with a 3 day pass and was told because I am not local I would be charged a fee . This is not listed anywhere on the website , customer service was rude and not accommodating at all . Was only looking to use it for just today . Fee listed on desk was 12 dollars for a day pass and front desk told me it was $30 just for the day . This is ridiculous given I got a 3 day pass online . Should have accommodated just for the day , really needs to work on customer service and making sure customers are satisfied . Would have rated 0 if I could :

Going on 9 days rationing towels to one per person. Pretty lame that they cant figure out a solution. Today the excuse was late delivery. It changes day to day. I like to go into the sauna after my workout and I dont want to use the same towel I just sweat in to dry myself off after a shower….. who does? No one , I hope. Regardless. towel service is part of membership
and there was no mrntion of limits when I joined. Incidentally, I tried to speak with someone about this and got this reply” Not my department.” Lame again ..0 points for customer service .

General manager was the worst person I have ever worked with.

He was pushy to get my card info over text to get me to sign up. But when I needed help with my account I got stupid excuses like the printer doesn't work, or he sends me to workout saying he'll have the docs ready after. When I am done he "left for the day".

Even after signing the documents needed for the rate adjustment we agreed on, I still got charged with the higher rate. That is the most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced in my life. How could one say things will get done, have you sign an official document and not push through with it. "Corporate didn't process the request". It was too many headaches at this point that I am certain I will NEVER sign up for another Crunch gym again.

Thank you Mervyn for making me hate Crunch as a corporation so much. And if it isn't obvious, I brought my business somewhere else.

Yessica was more helpful tho.

Why can’t you guys do one thing at a time. Be considerate for people who can only come at this time. To say front desk people aren’t friendly. Lol really, $35 to use the gym for less than 2 hrs. As the gym closes at 11p. While I didn't find the staff to be rude, they weren't accommodating. No one offered a free tour, or asked if I'm interested in signing up based on how long I'm in town. The response came off as a take it or leave it.

I have been to multiple Crunch’s in the Bay Area and I’ve called the Daly City location my home gym for about a year now, and it’s sad to say that recently the price to quality ratio has grown wider.

With a recent 10% price increases for this location if you come for body building machines it is no longer worth the price of admissions. I have seen throughout the year Crunch management neglect the upkeep and quality of multiple machines for triceps, back, and bicep. For example the whole gym has one peck deck machine and durning peek hours some machines are impossible to use. While five new very expensive treadmills were installed.

If you come to the gym just to run on a treadmill. This is the place for you, but if you’re looking for good quality, bodybuilding, machines or seat availability next to the free weights, you’re better off somewhere else.

Great gym! Very clean and they always take care of the customers. Much cleaner than 24 hour fitness. Youseff signed me and my roommate up and he made us feel very welcomed. I highly recommend this gym. I’ve been going to gyms for 20 years and this one is by far the cleanest with all types of equipment available

This used to be an awesome gym, but it’s going downhill over the last 6 months, I don’t know what’s going on. I’m writing this review as a message to management.

The water in the showers is either completely running out of hot water or just cutting off completely basically once a week, sometimes there will be no hot water for days at a time. This is incredibly frustrating, it’s happened to me multiple times while I’ve been in the shower.

Their washing machine breaks frequently, probably like once a month, causing them to limit towel service. It’s not infrequent to see a sign at the front desk limiting you to one towel per trip. How am I supposed to work out and take a shower with one towel? It’s ridiculous. For the amount of money people are paying for memberships this should not be happening.

Lastly I want to say that the majority of the front desk people are nice and doing their best, and I’ve had great experiences with the class trainers here. I feel bad that the folks at the front desk need to be the face for complaints from members that are a result of what appears to me to be poor management and poor infrastructure.

Management needs to get this place back in shape or they’re going to start losing members. I’m heavily considering cancelling mine and I come here 6 days a week so it’s a major bummer.

I have been a member for over 5 years. This gym has the best workout equipment and set up in the area. Bathroom cleanliness could use some work, but it has improved. Billing issues do take a while to be resolved, but just keep emailing the appropriate staff, and you will eventually get a response. Trainers and front desk staff are cool. If you can afford it and take your health seriously, I would recommend this gym. Yes, they have some issues, but what place doesn't?

I carefully reconsidered my previous harsh review on this gym.
I recently visited Daly City Crunch gym and I was really impressed with how clean the gym was. The staff were really good about cleaning the equipment after use and the gym was spotless.

I loved using their sauna after my workout. It was a great way to relax my muscles and unwind.

The gym offered a wide range of classes, from high-intensity interval training to yoga. The instructors were really friendly and knowledgeable, and the classes were well-organized.

Despite the high price, I was happy to see that the gym had recently undergone an expansion to accommodate more people.

Overall, I would recommend Daly City Crunch gym to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped gym with a variety of classes and amenities at your convenient whenever you shop in Serramonte mall.

I am a new trainer. I was taking a class with a manager who treated me unequally like others. She was very nervous and said during the class that if there is someone who does not feel comfortable, they can leave. When I asked her to leave, she fired me from work. The reason for her dissatisfaction was when I said that it is not permissible to advise a beginner to sell him creatine because it is harmful to beginners who do not have muscle density. She said, “Rather, you should sell it. All that matters to us is the sale.” I said to her, “What about health? This will harm him in the future.”

So to preface this, the last time I came to this gym was years ago on a guest pass. At the time I thought the facilities were nice and the staff were cool but I went with a gym my friends mostly go to. Fast forward to the present and I decide I wanna give it another shot. My friend gives me a guest pass and I figure if I like it again I'll pick up a membership and gym with them a few days a week.

I come into the gym today and I walk up to the counter and ask if anything has changed and that I want to use the guest pass. The latino guy (hate to describe someone by ethnicity but I didn't get a name) gives me attitude and asks me if I've been here before. I think, weird but ok sure, and I tell him I came in years ago and I wanna try the gym again. This dude tells me I can't come in! I ask why and he says cause I've been here before. What?? It's been YEARS. I tell him this and also what if he just forgets me? Then he tells me he doesn't forget people like me. PEOPLE LIKE ME?? I REALLY hope he meant people who come in with guest passes and not something else.

So I'm frustrated and I'm starting to leave. Then this random dude walks in with a guest pass and greets the desk guy all chummy, "BRO It's been a minute since I been here!" and then tells him about how he got another guest pass from his cousin. Front desk guy lets him in and I look him in the and he gives me the fattest smirk I've ever seen in my life. Frustrated as hell I leave to cool off.

You know the best part? I checked the guest pass and it literally says in writing that you can use a guest pass so long as it's been more than 60 days since you last visited. So he just didn't want to let me in. I WONDER WHY.

I was accused by a Yessica T. - Operations Manager of this Crunch Fitness - Daly City location, of using my wife’s Check-in barcode to enter the gym facility. It seemed like she thought I knowingly attempted to defraud the system by scanning someone else’s Check-in barcode.

On December 29 2022, me and my then pregnant wife decided she was going to cancel her club membership due to her being pregnant and not being able to use the gym facility. A Crunch Fitness employee of this location, whose name I cannot now remember, has recommended us to transfer my wife’s club membership under my name instead of cancelling. We thought it was a great idea. We signed some gym membership account transfer documents and I was good to go. I fly in and out of the city so I only have been to the gym once on December, 7 times on January and 9 times on February. But not once have I ever been told that it’s my wife’s name showing up on the screen instead of mine. A Vaughn M. - Membership Director then offered to help Yessica T. and I also got the same vibe from him.

Today was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

I understand that you have to enforce the rules and implement them. However, I think that I should have been given the benefit of the doubt before I was alleged of defrauding Crunch Fitness. I never got a mere apology for this horrible experience. Upon checking my wife’s profile in the Crunch Fitness’ system, Vaughan M. appear to have found my wife’s membership account transfer documents from December and have advised Yessica T. to have me submit a new set of the said document again. I know that I need my wife present with a piece of ID with her which would manifest that I am familiar with the process. I have mentioned that to both of them. I was allowed to workout tonight but it did bother me the entire time I was there. I hoped they would’ve handled the situation differently, it would have been a whole different experience. I still felt guilty even though I wasn’t.

I just hope that in the future, no other paying patron, on this incident, a Medical Laboratory Professional, to endure the embarrassment that I had to partake.

I have loved coming to this gym but I think this will convince my family to cancel mine/my wife’s membership.

UPDATE: Visited the facility the day after the incident. Mervyn F. - General Manager has taken over and acknowledged the problem. He has also provided a resolution. For that reason, i’m upgrading my 2-star review into a 3-star.

Has everything you need for a variety of workouts, bathrooms/lockers dont stay clean for long or they don't sweep that often. Towel service available which is neat but the showers smell like sewage! Smells so bad in the afternoons and weekends you question how safe it is to shower there because it literally smells like you're in the sewer. Heard a lot of people complain about this but nothing has changed ...

4/27/23- update. Cleaners are always cleaning but is it just for show?? Look at how disgusting the sauna wall is. The studio and spin room is closed at random times due to cleaning and its always random when they do it. Its hard to plan around and really inconvenient. They will close the studio while you’re inside..

My go to gym. Trainers are very inconsiderate for blasting music while people are using the cycle room and the studio. Thats fine if there is a scheduled class. If the room isn’t being used for a class, please keep your music to yourself. This has happened multiple times. If you’re ok having your workout ruined, then pls come here lol

Just a heads up for out-of-towners like myself...they will NOT accept the 3-Day Pass that is offered on Maps. You must be local, apparently.

There isn't anywhere on the offer that specifically says this. Looked for this with the front desk guy. Nice guy, but didn't offer to accommodate.

It's a waste of time if you're looking for a gym nearby. I wouldn't recommend it.

Also, you have to accept to receive texts for the offer to go through. This should be an optional function.

I've noticed an influx of children joining the gym as of late. I have no problem with this SO LONG AS THEY'RE SUPERVISED. In my last workout session there were at least 3 instances in which kids were goofing off and almost hurt themselves because they don't know what they're doing. THIS ISNT PLANET FITNESS. There are a lot of serious lifters here, please do something about this or I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Is this a gym or a daycare? They've allowed KIDS to be in the gym for who knows how long as part of some contract. Kids do not belong here unless they're closely supervised by an adult or trainer. I saw some potential injuries with these kids and their lack of knowledge on how to lift and use machines properly and safely. Upon bringing up these concerns to the staff, they dismissed it and stated they have insurance. Okay, if these kids injure themselves, it could be life changing for them. I saw some altercations happen with routine ADULT patrons and these kids (who come in mobs) to a single machine. They will hog the machine or rack and play around like it's a playground. I thought crunch was a GYM, not some daycare or playground. Leave the kids out of this or I'm leaving this gym.

Decent gym but HORRIBLE customer service. I moved away from California and called to cancel my subscription before I left. A year and a half later I noticed I'm still getting billed from them after my card attached to their billing expired. I called customer service and despite me telling them I talked to them already and I'm owed a refund they are telling me I have to pay the bill or will send this to collections. Since I called and cancelled I would think I'm owed money for still being charged not the other way around but not in their eyes I guess.

Not sure whom I spoke with on the phone but she was also incredibly rude. The business model of charging people a membership fee without their knowledge or just hope their customers forget they signed after their new years resolution is predatory and wrong. Don't recommend.

Update: They sent it to collections. If you care about your credit score I don't recommend signing up.

Just another day at crunch daly city with a photographer in the locker room. These guys seem to think the locker room is a selfie photo studio. Watch out for the selfie photographers at crunch fitness. You may find yourself world famous as a background nude extra on Facebook , YouTube, and Instagram.

Update to owner response:
"...the next time you see this happening ... cell phone use is strictly prohibited."
You're going to have to come up with a better solution than that . In the locker room, every other patron has his cell phone out and there is almost always an individual huffing and puffing in front of the mirrors taking a selfie.

This review is specific for Kasandra Altawil and John Mendoza's customer service. I had the worst experience during covid dealing with Derrick Emperador. Kasandra was not only patient, but she was clear in communication and quick to assist me with my problem.

John continued to be communicative and helpful with any problems I had during COVID with my membership even though he moved locations from Chestnut St in SF to Daly City.

Most gyms are comparable with cleanliness, machines, classes. The difference for members truly comes down to customer service and communication.

Both of them are great assets for Crunch.

Don't join, they will make cancelling your membership an absolute nightmare of a time and money sink, possibly impacting your credit score along the way. When I attempted to cancel my membership they continued charging me, despite receiving an email response from their management saying my membership had been successfully canceled, which took 3 30+ minute phone calls to resolve. A few months later and I've now received legal notice from a collections agency that they're trying to collect an additional $50 despite multiple calls with their billing representatives saying I didn't owe anymore. Go to a different gym, this place is a scam
