Early mornings are incredible - way fewer people than what you’d find at inshape or planet at the same time.
There is a crowd that comes daily around noon. They hoot and holler, smell of weed, and sag their pants. Otherwise, a good gym.

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. I know so many people who have gotten scammed from Crunch Fitness Lancaster, including myself. They will overcharge you or prevent you from canceling without a ton of hidden fees that they say are all "in the contract you signed." The sales people will lie to your face as they sell you the policy, have you sign a very long document, and then later enforce all the hidden terms.
I see other reviews also referring to the "short bald man" who I think is the manager. He lies to your face and has a very short temper.

Honestly a bad experience with this place. They told me about the annual fee and the two months commitment but I sign up for month to month and the annual fee was going to be charge on the 17th of July but they told me I can cancel before and not pay it. Well today I went to cancel since I don’t come often and they told me I had to pay the annual fee regardless even though I’ve been here for almost two months. A whole year fee for two months? They said yes, if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay today. So I just threw away money. Honestly guys unless you have concrete plans to come every day or week, don’t come here.

This gym is unethical, misleading, and borderline predatory.

I attempted to cancel my Crunch Fitness Lancaster membership multiple times — by phone and by sending an email to the address they specifically provide for cancellations. Despite that, I was still charged for another month.

When I finally got someone on the phone, I was told there’s a “mandatory 2-month commitment.” That was never disclosed to me when I signed up. In fact, I was explicitly told I could cancel at any time — especially since I mentioned I’d be relocating out of soon.

When I explained this to the assistant manager, his response wasn’t to help or even acknowledge their poor communication — instead, he condescendingly said, “It’s not my fault you didn’t read the agreement.”

That kind of attitude says everything about how this place operates. They mislead customers during sign-up, bury critical terms, and then gaslight you when you try to hold them accountable. The cancellation process is deliberately convoluted, and their customer service is dismissive at best, hostile at worst.

I don’t care how convenient or cheap this gym might seem — it’s not worth the frustration or the feeling of being taken advantage of. Spend your money somewhere that treats people with respect and operates with integrity.

The most affordable small business owned gym in our area. I met the two gents around my age who purchased this gym from LA Fitness back in 2018. They were extremely down to earth. However, the cost to run any gym is extremely high so they were not willing to get us more heavier dumb belts beyond 120lbs as I requested. Whatever is left behind by LA Fitness is what we're stuck with. Which is adequate. Although I'd preferred they carry up to 150lbs at 5lb increment. All in all, I love this gym. It felt home for me. This is truly a guy's gym. They don't try to rip you off on pricing, what they agreed is what they honored. The franchised owners did a fantastic job with up keeping every equipment. I have been to every other gyms in this area with the exception of Powerhouse, every other gyms are awful due to expensive pricing, overcrowd, poor term of agreement, low quality equipment, light weight, too many girly men, etc. Just keep in mind, this gym is made to turn boys into men with zero string attached. No worries, I promised no judgment is ever made here. This review is made after being a customer for 7 years.

Make sure you read their policy before signing up. They will charge you for an initial, 2 months, and an annual fee, totaling close to $136. They are unable to cancel within 60 days so you are locked in. This company does not have an honor system. They will take your money! It doesn't matter if you have gone in once for trial. I had a horrible experience with their service staff. Your only options are to pay the whole 60 day trial, if you refuse, it will go to "collections".

They will not sympathize with your concern even if you would like to pull out early. They will ask you to pay the reminaing balance. Be careful before you sign anything. I will not trust those sales associates again. Members be warned. When discussing any business transactions get that in writing or record that call with them. They have told me differently.

Personal training here is great, they will try to provide advice on protein powders/supplements and offer their products. If you’re looking for personal training you would enjoy training with Wolf. He is very dedicated and consistent even when I don’t want him to be. My work schedule can vary with OT and he is flexible so long as I provide proper notice. Additionally I have been having recent back issues and he is making sure to incorporate stretches to alleviate that area. Super appreciative of him as my trainer.

This is a great gym. The trainers and the instructors are fantastic. The manager is horrible and treats the members with no respect. He will take money from your account without any notice for things you never used. To try and get it back is a nightmare. He is in a position that he is not qualified for. There are other gyms in town that treat you better. Look at other gyms before you sign up at Lancaster Crunch and if you do sign up here, be prepared to have random charges taken from your account for anything he wants and for large amounts, like hundreds of dollars. Absolutely horrible experience. We came with my husband to join this gym which is only 5 minutes away from where we live. We waited in a line, and then we came to a front desk where a young women and a man. I asked how much cost a membership at a gym and didn’t received any response. They told us to wait and both of them just left. Finally I call a guy who was a very long time serving other couple. He finally got to us after 10 minutes. I asked again how much cost a membership and again no response and instead he started to ask me more questions and give me a historical lesson about the corporation. I was about to blow away and said if you are not going to tell me the price right now, then we are leaving without any tours. He finally told me the range of prices. Why to not give the customer a price straight away? is it so difficult? Why your employees needs to pissed off the customers by not answering any their questions, ignoring them, and following stupid corporate orders? That’s was absolutely ridiculous. We waisted 1.5 hours of our evening time with my husband for so unknowledgeable and unprofessional people. We canceled any further appointments with them which they made up and rescheduled by themself without our consent. We decided to sign in online even though it was more expensive without giving them another chance to waste our time and put us on a hook. The manager said they have a different system at the gym to sign in people then online, and I read in multiple places that people who signed in at the gym afterwards have difficulties to cancel their memberships. This is another reason why we decided to sign in online even if there weren't same deals as in the gym. It was just horrible experience when we came in which I don't wish to nobody. They don’t know what are they doing there.

It is such a hassle to cancel. I submitted a cancellation request online and a few days later was charged. I was able to get a charge back through my bank but now they refuse to cancel my membership unless the "overdue" amount is paid. Thankfully I have blocked their access to charge me through my bank. I've been a member of Crunch Fitness in Lancaster, CA for a while now, and I have mixed feelings about the place. While it's not the best gym I've been to, it does cover the basics well. The gym is equipped with all the essential machines, which is great for a standard workout.

One of the standout features of this gym is the staff. They're always friendly and greet you with a smile when you walk in, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The maintenance crew deserves a special shoutout, they do an absolutely amazing job keeping the gym spotless. Whether it's the machines, the floors, the hardwood room, or the bathrooms, everything is consistently clean and well-maintained.

In terms of equipment maintenance, the staff is generally good at repairing machines when they go down. However, there are currently two machines that have been out of order for a couple of weeks, which is a bit disappointing. This location in particular doesn’t have a sauna/steam room or a pool.

I was going for a PR on bench. It was 500lbs and I had no spotter. I had just taken the biggest whiff of my smelling salt capsule, already taken my creatine and had some forbidden pre. I was ready... I get under the weight and put everything I had into just lifting it off the rack. It was heavy but I was already committed. I go for it and start to lower the bar. I reach the bottom and begin to push back up. It wasn't moving... I began to panic but with 500lbs on my chest I could not breath and unable to call for help. However, if it wasn't for one of their great staff members, Jasmin who noticed my despair and came rushing to my aid. She grabbed the bar and curled it off of my body. I was able to finally breath. She stood their and made sure I was ok while she was still curling the 500lb bar. She hit 3 sets before I was finally able to stand back on my feet. Truly an amazing person. I hope Steve the short bald manager gives her a raise. 10/10 recommend this gym.

I've been a member of Crunch for several years and have never had a problem at any other location. However, I've been coming to this one for about a year, and it has to be by far the worst of them all.

Unfortunately, my experience with the manager, Steve, has been very disappointing. The guy clearly exhibits a Napoleon complex, constantly overcompensating with his aggressive demeanor. He has a tendency to belittle both staff and members, creating an uncomfortable and toxic environment for everyone.

One of the many instances that pushed me to cancel my membership was when I brought a guest and they were accused of sneaking into the gym. When I told Jasmine that he was my guest, she said I had no guest privileges. I told her I did, and she accused me of lying. After she admitted that she had my membership confused with another member but did not apologize for the accusation. Instead, she told me it was my fault for not using the tablet to sign in the guest. Even after I explained that the person at the front desk did not hand us a tablet, she still insisted it was my fault.

When I tried to cancel my membership because of the constant bad experiences with the staff, Jasmine told me I couldn't do it there and had to cancel at my home gym. After I finally canceled my membership at the Crunch in Cerritos, I was informed by Jasmine that steve said I wasn't allowed to access the gym or bring in guests, even though I had already paid for the month. They only let me in as a "courtesy" but then denied access to both myself and my guest, despite having paid for the entire month already. I does not make sense for me to pay for my last month, but I am denied access just because I canceled.

Steve's behavior and the mistreatement of guests detract from the overall experience. I hope the gym takes steps to address this issue for the sake of its members and staff.

P.s. After writing this, I see that most reviewers are saying the same thing as me. I wish I had looked at these reviews before coming to this gym. It was a nightmare.

My experience at Crunch Fitness was extremely disappointing. I went there with a friend who's a member, hoping to take advantage of their advertised free 3-day pass. Upon arrival, the manager, Steve, who seemed more interested in socializing with his staff
than assisting customers, rudely questioned my friend about whether he checked in, then proceeded to charge me $15 for a day pass without explanation. When I inquired about the free trial, which was clearly stated on their website, Steve dismissed it, claiming a 24-hour notice was required, despite the gym being relatively empty at the time.

To make matters worse, the "tour" provided by Steve was nothing more than a quick lap around the treadmills, completely lacking any meaningful introduction to the facilities or equipment. His disinterest and unprofessional behavior were evident as he quickly returned to chatting up the girls he had been flirting with upon our arrival.

Overall, my visit to Crunch Fitness left me feeling unwelcome and taken advantage of. The lack of transparency regarding their trial passes and the manager's dismissive attitude towards potential customers make me question whether this gym truly values its members and visitors. I was considering joining Crunch before my visit, but Steve made my choice easy. I certainly won't be returning, nor would I recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and professional fitness environment.

I moved and needed to cancel my membership. I have now attempted to cancel my membership on multiple occasions, but they refuse to do it over the phone and direct to to send an email request. I have yet to receive a reply from that email, and still continue to be billed monthly. Calling them does not help, they just direct you to send another email. One time they told me “sorry, that email goes to our manager and we haven’t had on for a couple months.” So for months I was being directed to an email address that would never be read? The short bald front desk guy was extremely rude and spoke to me with an accusatory undertone. I moved here this week and was checking out local gyms before deciding where I want a membership, he made me feel extremely uncomfortable from the moment I walked in and like I was doing something wrong. I didn’t have a CA ID yet and wasn’t aware that it was a requirement, I would’ve happily paid a drop in fee if necessary but due to the disrespect I decided to leave. 10/10 do not recommend. Train your employees on how to gain memberships not lose them.

Dear manager of Crunch. You have about 50 cardio machines such as treadmill, stepper etc. and they always half empty. BUT you have only 4 benches for free weights! 4!!! Only 1 Smith machine! It’s always a line for benches and smith machine. People spend as much time waiting for bench as exercising.

Crunch Fitness in Lancaster does illegal, dishonest business.

Steve the manager opened up a contractual agreement for my under age 15 year old son without a legal parent/guardian’s consent.

He told my son to bring him his checking account information and then he’ll be able to get him signed up as a member. My son his own teenage checking account at our credit union. So he brought him his checking account information but this manager didn’t even ask for me or his father to come down to the gym to consent to this agreement.

This man knew he was under age from his ID and still continued to put a binding agreement under his name. My son doesn’t a job yet and this manager put a debt on him.

This message is to the owner of this establishment if you don’t correct this situation I will be taking legal actions against you.

I love this! By far the coolest gym I've ever been member. I would give it 5 Stars if it wasn't for the one employee that is absolutely rude I honestly avoid the gym when he's working the one with the long hair both guy works out he just you can tell has a attitude and goes or of his way to make me uncomfortable because of how he perceives which Ive heard him saying. It's ok though because staff like Marlene make up for it with her down earth polite and personable welcoming energy ❤️

First off, the gym is very packed with the number of people that go to the gym; I think they should expand to accommodate the number of people who frequent this gym. The bathrooms are okay at best. One of the hand dryers doesn't work in the men's room, and it's been broken for two months, so you have to wait for who's using the other one. The water fountains have mold, so I don't know how often they get cleaned or if the filters get changed. Frequently, you will have mix-match plates on a squat rack or machines that require plates due to people not putting items back or taking them from other areas. The free weights area is always packed and always has missing weights in the right spot. A 15 will be in the 75 spot and vice versa. Most of the gym has a CrossFit area, cardio machines, and a workout classroom in the back. The weightlifting area is the smallest in the gym. If this gym were more extensive, it would be much better to accommodate the amount of people that go throughout the day. I would recommend that they require people also to put weights back in the right spot to make it easier to find weights and plates. Finally, they should update some machines, plates, and free weights. A lot of them are starting to look old and worn out. An update would be recommended.

I can tell you guys to go elsewhere. Whoever is putting a 5 star is lying. This place is a dump. They don’t have a lot of machines to work out with. The few they do have are always out of service. Takes them MONTHS to get it “fixed” good for about 3 weeks then back to its usual way, out of service. They should get rid of all those cardio machines since they are always out of service and hardly get used. I bet, you can go in today and see 4 to 6 machines with an out of service tag on it. NOT THE BEST GYM. Pay a little more and go somewhere else. Really do your research. This gym is for those who are barely getting back or into fitness. Yes it’s clean. Yes it’s super crowded from 5-9pm. The crunch in PALMDALE IS 1,000xs BETTER! Some staff members are friendly. Smells like a weed shop at times. Granted is not their fault because they can’t control what their members do before going in. Price is good, but hate that anual fee to keep their machines updated when they go month not getting fixed. They have a tanning machine, I’ve been going to the gym for 2 years and it’s out of service, don’t use it but if you do well know you know. Now their massage machine also broken. Maybe I should tell them my debit card is broken maybe they won’t take any money from it. Hahah…..whoever owns this gym should really consider the opinion and suggestions of their customer. I’m about to cancel this place if I go back Monday and if the machine I’ve been wanting to use for over 3 months is not fixed, I can assure you I’m canceling.

Front desk guy sucks. Never has change in the register when I want to pay cash. Like you are working the register, you should make sure you have cash in it, It’s the middle of the day so I don’t understand why. Also wanted to change my card on file, I understood I would be paying a late fee before hand. Guy at the front desk stated “I can swap out the late fee for a product instead of you paying the $15.00” he proceeded to recommended a shirt or some supplements. I agreed for creatine but saw he rang me up for 30$. Seems like he was replacing my “late fee” to up-charge me. I refused the creatine and said I rather pay the late fee. Then charges me for a 15$ “Peerfit Day Pass”, not sure what’s up with that. Was July 1st around 4:30PM. That dude needs another job.

My card got hacked, so my bank sent a new card. I have made two attempts to present my card to staff to pay my membership. One evening came in, no one at the desk. Saw a woman at the far computer but she saw me didn’t say anything. I waited for ten minutes and left. Can in today, staff was taking to other member, staff saw me didn’t acknowledge me continued to talk to member. I left after a few. I guess my money is no good. I am so upset. I canceled my membership since March of 2023. I was assured by an employee at the front desk that my membership would be canceled. However I have been seeing charges since then to my account. I have contacted the financial manager at Crunch via email and they have yet to respond. In October I was charged almost $90 & Today I was charged $34.99. Having a gym membership is a sca because they charge you regardless if you go or not.

I attempted to cancel my membership three times.

The first time, I was told that their managers weren’t in, and only a manager can cancel my membership. Every other gym I’ve been to, you can cancel on your own, and do it without issue.

The second time, I consulted the manager, Steve. He informed me that I couldn’t cancel my membership until the 26th of November, which is the date that I’d be billed for another month.

The third time, I went in and insisted that he cancel the membership, but he refused. He printed out my agreement, which stated that a 30 day written notice was required to cancel. So, I won’t be able to cancel until then, and I have fears that management won’t be available, thereby giving them a workaround to my cancellation.

In short, this is a gym that is like no other in that they basically hold your membership hostage, making cancelling a huge ordeal. This gym is unethical, and signing up was a mistake. Don’t sign up unless you’re absolutely alright with sticking with this gym for the long haul, because if you don’t want that, they will do whatever they can to force you to stay.

The gym is ok, nothing special. The staff in person is helpful, over the phone not so much. I would have given a 2 star but Reggie is amazing. He is my personal trainer. Reggie is 5 star!!!! Helpful, intelligent in his craft, answers questions, and goes at my pace. Not some meat head that yells at you. I go back here solely because of Reggie. Crunch management is dislikeable. Salesman that don't care.

Since having to cancel my monthly subscription as well as personal training due to medical reasons, they have they have been horrible. Management, jazmin, also head coach, had told me that there would be 1 final payment that would be taken out. Sure I get it. Just today another payment of 99 dollars was taken out. I called and of course she won't help. She says again this would be the last payment.

I remember a few years ago the water fountain would give cold water. Since about a little over a year it started coming out warm in order to get you to buy their 4 dollar water bottles that are cold. On top of that they don’t even replace their filter look at the red light signifying the filter status being bad. Super lame of management to do this in order to boost their sales.

Wasn't going to leave a review but got a call from the employee saying he would honor it if i gave him a 5 star review. Well here you go bud. Came in around 4pm Sunday 9/17. Got their 3 day pass online. Didn't get to use it. I was upfront with the kid at the front desk and told him only reason I was trying it out was because there were no L.A. fitness around the area. As soon as I told him that his demeanor changed. He was like " So you're not planning on joining?" Uh, can I get a chance to decide? Said he couldn't honor it because I'm not from the area. Cool, wasn't planning on joining, but even if there was an ounce of me changing gyms this interaction left a sour taste in my mouth. Do employees not know the first thing about customer service? Should have known, he was talking to a customer on the phone and hung up and said "why people on the phone be acting weird" out load. Bro do your job and stop complaining. This place is very money hungry and will wrongfully charge you. I canceled my membership in August here and I still got charged a $50 fee despite the fact that I no longer use the gym here. Please be aware before you sign any agreements and decide to give them your bank information. I’m struggling as it is and I really did not have the $50 to spare that’s why I canceled it in the first place. They will use your account information and get money any way they can.

Gym is always busy and is very small, very little of important and mostly occupied equipment but full of things people, classes, and trainers don’t even use. If the gym isn’t small enough already the “stretching”, room and turf work out area get reserved for classes and anyone already there before classes are told off or called security on. People are weird and mostly there just to take pictures or video and say they go to the gym while just keeping equipment occupied so other people can’t use it. If you could go to another gym it would probably be a better and more enjoyable experience than going here especially during afternoon or evening’s.

I love Zumba here at the Lancaster Crunch gym Sandra has the high beat Latin moves short but sweet. Cindy has great choreography. Shawtice has high beat hip hop with a lot of hip and waist movements.

I also love the HIIT program with Haydee. She works the whole body and it’s never the same. Great shock for the body. I haven’t did Reggie’s but I hear he’s great too.

Also I must say this gym is clean and always have wipes to clean the equipment.

The staff are always helpful with anything and greet you when you come in.

In my opinion this is the best gym in Lancaster, way better then 24 that’s down the street. It has all the machines you need to focus on each muscle group of your body, plenty of free weights, benches, squat racks, an area you can deadlift and even punching bags. Not only that they good fair prices for what your getting and the employee at the front her name was marline helped me out so well, was well spoken answered any question I had and was completely honest with me about everything, everything she’s told me was true about the gym and always has a positive attitude when I walk in she has amazing customer service.

this is the absolute best gym that i’ve ever gone to. i’ve frequented pretty much every gym out in the AV, but this location takes the cake. The management and staff are amazing- always taking the time to learn your name and chat with you. The actual gym itself has every machine you’d need, tons of free weights, and fake turf! It’s always EXTRA clean in here because their janitorial staff work so so hard! If i could give 10 star, i would’ve already. Shout out Steve for always making me feel welcome and valued!
