I am really enjoying Giovanni's StrongHIIT and Fight Camp classes! He not only incorporates new moves with the kettlebell but includes stretching at the end of class. Lots of ab work, too. Fight Camp is a great way to burn off calories as well as learning to throw punches. I love these classes!

Staff here is usually really nice (& helpful). Especially Nick. Only issues: 1 - my boyfriend always reports that the sauna in the men’s locker room is down, like 24/7. 2 - cardio equipment is always down. 3 - I know it’s not easy to “just expand” but there should be a limit to how many members they have, this place is usually over crowded and you can’t always use the equipment you came for.

Came in to sign up a week ago and was kind of skeptical. Thankfully the guy in the front that helped me named Christopher was very nice and straightforward. He answered all my questions regarding how much i would be charged monthly and even gave me a tour. Honestly he’s the reason i signed up. This location needs to hire more workers that actually know what good customer service is. I have friends that came in the past and never bothered to sign up bc the manager Steven i believe was very pushy and rude. The past times i’ve came in for a workout in the evening he always makes me feel welcome and greets me on the way in and on my way out. Thank you Chris !

Needs some renovations and upgrades. The outside weights are all beat up and rusty. No one ever returns anything back where it belongs. Always crowded except closer to midnight, some broken equipment and bars. The only redeeming factor is the night shift employee, I think his name is Nick or something like that. Excellent customer service, explained their various protein drinks, helped me look for some missing weights, greeted everyone coming in and seemed to be happy at his job.

Do not go with this gym membership. They had a false and misleading "Job Fair" that had many applicants coming in looking for work. They let people know that they are looking for people to "hire" but you have to subscribe to their free trial membership for $1 in order for them to even consider you. That was a straight scam. So you are telling me that people can broadcast and advertise a "job fair" just to bring people in, tell them in order to be considered they have to sign up for a "membership" then never even contact them for a job. In hopes that they forget, then go and try to pull money out of there account in 30 days, talking about "you signed up for a membership?" That is a staright way to finesse people out of money.

**Then we call a day late after the 30 days. Get on the phone with someone. Who for 17 minutes would not give us his name, raised his voice, then later to find out he is the General Manager, named Steve. Eventually, 17 minutes later he did eventually give us his name, but his whole demeanor was very unprofessional. The way he constructs business is beyond horrible. How much money did you guys collect, off of your whole "Job Fair" ordeal Steve? I hope someone else picks this up and sues you guys. That was the biggest scam ever! Then to be told that Steve is the highest in command, there's no cooperate, or no one above him. That is ridiculous to be the highest in command and have no customer service skills.

And Steve, before you try to deflect and play the Professional victim, I understand it was our responsibility to cancel, but the whole ordeal of having people come in for a job fair, just to get your gym membership numbers up is a very currupt way to go about that. I have been a GM before, and this is not the ethical approach to do so either. I am most confident we were not the only ones to call to cancel that scam. You reeap what you sow though. You sow dishonesty, thats what will come back.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I had a valid guest pass, but they refused to let me in just because my ID was from a different state. Seriously? I came in to try the gym to see if I wanted to sign up, but instead I was treated like an inconvenience. Almost every other gym actually honors their guest passes — it’s called good business. I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Crunch Fitness. When I signed up for the coaching/personal training plan, I was given false and misleading information. I specifically spoke with the head coach, Christian, who assured me that I could freeze the plan and would not be charged the $75 fee. Based on his word, I proceeded with the freeze rather than canceling outright.

However, on August 1st, I was still charged the $75 despite being told otherwise. This is not just a miscommunication; it's dishonesty and a lack of accountability. When a head coach provides incorrect information and the gym still charges you, it shows a serious issue with how Crunch handles its business and treats its members.

This experience was upsetting and unprofessional. I would strongly caution others to get everything in writing and not to rely on what staff tell you verbally. Based on how this situation was handled, I do not recommend this gym to anyone.

The staff and other gym goers are nice and friendly, but I'm about ready to give up on it. The lack of "in demand" equipment is so frustrating. What's even more frustrating is the amount of equipment that is there a massive amount (like treadmills and ellipticals) that only ever have a handful of people on them. Meanwhile, there are only five good stair masters which are always full because the other six (I think) have such crazy narrow steps that eat your shoes. Additionally, one to two of the good ones are always broken (the same two, I might add). There are a few other machines that I would like to use, but almost never get the chance because there is only one of them and everyone wants to use it (the hip add/abductor, for example, which has also been out of alignment for over a year). I've brought all of this up with the staff and they are very apologetic, but nothing changes. I don't know if it's management or corporate but someone needs to get it together. I really want to stay with this gym, but I'm tired of leaving frustrated because I can't finish my workout.

I dont normally write reviews but I feel like people need to be warned about this place. I was told by multiple people in person that I could pay $1 and then get charged monthly after but if I don’t like the gym I could cancel within 5 days. I ended not liking it very much, so I called to cancel. Steve said I had to go in person and I was like okay thank you he said you’re welcome I ended the call. I go in person to cancel, steve said I had to pay for two months up front even though I was told I could cancel within 5 days and that’s what I was there for.Steve then claimed I hung up on him during our call, he called me back twice to let me know that but that’s a total lie. I let it slide the first time but then when he said that again I said I did not hang up on you nor did you call me twice. He then said it doesn’t matter what they told me when I signed up he’s telling me now I have to pay two months . After a lot of back and forth he finally said he’ll reach out to the “billing department” and he’ll “go to bat for me” to try to get me a good deal. I was obviously frustrated but we left. 10 min later I get a call from “Carson” who said he was sorry for the inconvenience and he’ll cancel the membership no charge. Carson was Steve. lol that killed me but I realized he just didn’t want to look weak in front of his coworkers or was too prideful to help me.anyways, if this happens to you you’re not alone and just ask for Carson 🤣

I just got charged $15 today for no reason, on top of being charged every month when I’ve cancelled. Enough already, Steve. You’re doing this to everybody — it’s weird.
The gym is dirty, overcrowded, and there’s no space to do anything. The machines are always broken down. There’s barely anything for lower body — just one machine. Go to literally any other gym. They lie, and again — there’s no space. You’ll regret ever coming here. And watch out for Steve.

If only zero stars was an option. I was visiting from Texas where I belong to an awesome Crunch Fitness. This one was at the opposite end of the spectrum. I specifically went to do a spin class, but the instructor didn't show and the front desk didn't seem like they expected her to. This location is big with many machines. The customer service is lacking. I came in asking for a lost and found item. The front desk clerk sat in her chair looked in a cupboard said “oh it’s not there”. A fitness instructor later found me and gave me the item I was looking for saying “it was in the very cupboard she ‘looked’” Then the music is blasting so loud I can’t hear my own music on my headphones. The same front desk attendant says “sorry there’s nothing I can do” which I know is a lie. Laziness is not a good look from an employee at a gym.

After having people telling me to try out Crunch Palmdale and having friends/family members tell me about their bad experiences, I decided to give it a try. The location is in the heart of Palmdale and has a great atmosphere but does not have the best staff. If you ever go inside and need effective consultation and not unprofessional worker skills, I suggest staying away from Steve. I walked in with some of my friends and decided to get a day pass, but as all gym front desk associates are, they try to tackle you with promotions which I completely understand. However, I told him I wasn't interested and he decided to question my personal life shortly after responding. In no manner should any staff member question what is right or wrong about not going to their particular gym. In addition, when I tried to talk to my friends about what they wanted to do, Steve kept trying to rush us. I would suggest going to the Lancaster location, In Shape, or 24 Hour Fitness; all the people mind their business and have highly professional trainers and staff members.

This gym is definitely a scam. I've been trying to cancel my membership since the 21st of April of this year, they say I couldn't cancel because of some type of 30 day policy that I didn't know anything about & more than likely didn't agree or seen in the process of me signing up. I called them May 1st, knowing my membership bill is due on the 2nd of every month, I talked to some female named Tessa or something like IDK... But she told me to do the cancellation on line through email, I tried that while I was on the phone with her & I didn't work. So she says, she can cancel it over the phone, now she says the transaction is in process which is BS because my bill is due on the 2nd! So I tell her to cancel it right now, she did it. Later that day around 6:15pm they took my money!!! Now I'm steaming hot because I've been trying to get my membership cancelled weeks before this, So I call & later on that night, don't remember who I spoke to but it was a male & I explained what's happened & ge said he couldn't do anything about it I would have to talk to "Steve" I'm assuming he's a manager of some sort... That was Thursday, I've been calling throughout the day & night, guess what... Nobody has answered, why is that, did you guys block my number or screen my calls?!!! But I know on e thing this gym needs to reimbursed me my funds. Crunch is corrupted & I do not recommend any one to go there. There bathroom stinks 🦨 & they will rip you off for you money period!!!

Don’t get a membership in this gym.it's a dishonest business more focused on signing people up for misleading memberships without full disclosure .
At first day that I went there with my 2 kids for a daily free pass . And he told me because you are with kids you can’t use your 1 day free pass and you have to get a membership. And he told me that he gives me a good deal if I sign up for a 2 month membership . He told me I only have to pay $1 for first month and $40 for second month. That’s all. I asked him so $1 is the only charge for this month and he responded yes.
And he took my bank information and charged me for $1 and I went to the gym and kid’s went to the kids club.
Next day I went to the gym with my 2 kids as the first day I went. Front desk asked me to pay $25 for the kids club. I was surprised and wondering why you want to charge me . I was here yesterday and he told me that I have to pay only $1 . And he responded it was only your membership not for kid’s club. And I was really upset and mad and told him that why you didn’t explain to me yesterday that I have to pay for kids club because I thought it’s included. He said that I have to pay $25 for a month for kids club. I paid $25 and started to go gym with my 2 kids for few days. And today I went to the gym with my 2 kids and I see the front desk asking me to pay $25 for the kids club. I told her I already paid and I still have a week and the month is not over. She said you paid for 1 kid $25 . I got really mad. I told her they asked me to pay $25 for a month for the kids club. What is going on with that stuff. If I knew that is $25 for a 1 child I didn’t want to continue. They had to explain at first not after. I told the manager to cancel my membership but he was so rude and not respectful. And even didn’t give me credit for the second child. Because they had to explain everything and it was their mistake. Anyway I am not going anymore to the gym and they didn’t cancel my membership but I don’t care.

As a new resident of Palmdale, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone. If you can afford to go elsewhere, please do. Not only is this gym consistently overcrowded, but it's a dishonest business more focused on signing people up for misleading memberships without full disclosure. I'd rather spend $100 at an honest business than $40 here. My detailed experience is below.

Long Review:
12/12/24: I visited with a seven-day free pass. Manager Steve offered the rest of the month for $1, highlighting gym benefits without explicitly mentioning I was signing up for a membership. Later, I received an email stating my first monthly fee of $39.99 would be due December 30, plus a $59.99 annual fee in February. They signed me up for a 60-day commitment without being transparent.

2/19/24: When I tried to cancel, Steve became defensive about my mention of leaving a negative review. Rather than letting me pay to cancel (over $150 in fees), he offered a deal: I'd pay January's fee, get February and March free, and could either leave hassle-free afterward or stay with a reduced $19.99 monthly rate. I accepted and should have gotten this in writing.

12/30/24: Charged $41.99 for January.

2/10/25: Charged $59.99 annual fee.

3/6/25: Called Steve to confirm our agreement. He now claimed I'd be charged $21.99 (not $19.99) in March and needed to sign new paperwork. When I asked why the rate wasn't automatically changing as we had agreed in December, he couldn't provide a clear answer. At this point, I was wary of signing another contract with potential hidden terms, so I decided to cancel. When I asked about canceling hassle-free as promised, he said I'd need to make one more payment of $41.99—contradicting our agreement.

3/7/25: Visited to cancel my membership. After paying the $41.99 cancellation fee, I asked if I could use the gym until March 30. The staff member said no—the payment was actually for February (the supposedly "free" month), and since we were in March, I no longer had access.
In less than 3 months (12/12/24 - 3/7/25), I was charged:

$1.00 on 12/12/24
$41.99 on 12/30/24
$59.99 on 2/10/25
$41.99 on 3/7/25

None of the promised "free" months materialized. As a new Palmdale resident, I cannot recommend this overcrowded gym with misleading membership practices. I'll be disputing the final charge with my bank since they violated our verbal agreement.

By far the best gym in the AV. This Crunch location is my favorite. It’s a decent size and has everything you need to get a great workout. There’s also a basketball court outside, which is nice and even a track on the second floor. I am excited to start going to this gym. Shaq gave me a tour and I was beyond surprised at how many different machines and benches that they have. Both Shaq and Steve did an outstanding job in making me want to start going here. This was a decently clean gym! It has two floors so it doesn’t look all cramped. The guy in the front helped us out a lot, let us use our free gym pass even though we accidentally chose the wrong location. Was so grateful for the ease and convenience of visiting this gym. Thanks Palmdale!

The place has gone downhill. The sauna has been intentionally destroyed numerous times past few years. Apparently, there is some teen program where teens get in free or at a low rate. The large amount of irresponsible teens have been accused’s of ruining the place.

I like the Gym they have all types of machines and free weights . They also have plenty of cardio machines and fitness classes .The staff it's very knowledgeable and friendly . I like the fact that their open 24 hours from Monday thru Thursday . Friday thru Sunday they close early .

I had requested a gym membership for somebody and Ricky was the guy who helped me out about two months ago. He had stated that I pay a dollar upfront and then then I had to pay 29.99 in two months I am very upset because I have Asked him before if he was able to cancel over the phone because I do live in Northridge he stated he can last week I went into the Crunch in Northridge and they told me I would have to call you guys or in person so I had called you guys and now you guys are stating that I am unable to Decline or takeoff the second membership I got from a sibling of mine on top of that. I noticed that I was charged twice for a 71.99 and 81.99 I need a refund for The extra money that was taken out of my account I was not told of this $81 charge . if you are unable to comply, I will go to the bank and dispute this charge with them. I am very upset I have been a member for about a year now and I don’t want any issues with you guys. You guys need to be more straightforward with your customers because this is not acceptable. I had to call off of work hours and money to take off one single membership and now I noticed there is extra charges on my account. I Will be waiting for a email back if I don’t receive one in 3 to 5 business days, I will go to the bank and dispute it. Eileen, the lady upfront that helped me out was very sweet and gave me good information on it the first of many workers there. I want my full refund of the 8199 because I am unsure of what this is plus the extra charges that you guys are charging me for for those months that you guys didn’t tell me about. Ricky stated first upfront would be a dollar then I would have to pay 29.99 in two months so I want to refund of the 29.99 that you guys charge me for the months you didn’t tell me about and the 81.99 of the charge that we I that we are unable to figure out what I’m being charged for

The managers Maritza and Blanco are extremely unprofessional. Maritza was on her phone in the women’s restroom and almost bumped into me aggressively twice when she clearly had seen me with the guise that she was on her phone. When I became upset by her second attempt that she passed me I asked her to apologize and she started laughing at me. She lied and said I was yelling when she saw i got more upset due to her laughing and taunting me and said she owed me nothing. Then after leaving a poor review on here she called to harrass me about it. I couldn’t believe she really called my cell phone to harass me while I was getting dinner for my family. The manager Blanco was extremely patronizing when I joined…patronizing in regards to me being a female. A good 30% of the machines don’t work or get fixed. Mostly a lot of immature members. Very rarely will you come across actual respectful adults. The males seem to be on steroids because they treat the customers like if they’re prison guards. Very hostile environment.

I paid the base plan for 1 year, $220 cash no card. This will help me commit and get no extra charges. I don't mind the music because I have my own workout playlist on my phone, and it's a life saver for people who don't get regular pay like me. If you can, talk to one of the managers and commit.

It's a pretty good gym they have constant employees cleaning around the place. A good set of equipment for many who either want to bodybuild, do cardio, calisthenics , basketball, and even boxing. They have a sauna room with clean bathrooms. The only problem I have is that there are no signs to tell people to rerack their weights. I dislike finding a dumbell on the second floor that could be needed by someone. I feel like they should add another bike rack as there is only one, and many people come with their bikes or scooters.
If possible, they should add an additional leg press machine as both of the machines are constantly in use. Other than that, it's a pretty good gym

Desde diciembre 2023, las veces que llamo me dicen que me van a volver a llamar porque no hay nadie que hable español, ya que yo no hablo inglés. Nunca me han devuelto la llamada. Les he escrito, he llamado, incluso he podido hablar por teléfono con el encargado, que habla español, un viernes por la noche. Me dijo que me contactaría el lunes, porque a esa hora salía del gimnasio. Nunca me llamó, ni me llamó nadie que hablara español. Será porque le hice saber que no puedo ir en persona, que no hemos estado en Palmdale, California desde finales de diciembre. Cuando llamé para pedirles que cancelaran mi suscripción me dijeron que les enviara un correo electrónico, lo hice y todavía NO la cancelan. Al hacerme saber que era por la deuda ... seguí insistiendo, porque una de las razones que le expliqué al gerente fue que cuando personalmente me inscribieron en el gimnasio, un empleado hispano, o sea en espanol me hablaron, nunca mencionaron el pago de mantenimiento anual, ni me dieron copia de la membresía, lo cual es importante, y más porque se lo pedí, cuando le pregunté específicamente si $21.99 era todo lo que tenía que pagar y me dijo que sí, la persona que completó mi membresía. No me lo mostraron ni a mí ni a mi esposo cuando firmé electrónicamente, ya que así me hicieron miembro. En ningún momento y en ningún lugar nos dieron papeles, todo lo contrario... nos dijeron que no era un contrato, que uno podía cancelar la suscripción cuando quisiera, no era necesario entonces.
Me pidieron identificación y fue el empleado quien llenó los datos que necesitabas, por eso solo me hizo firmar, y no me mostro ese detalle importante, ni me lo leyo.
También le dije que intenté entrar a otro gimnasio Crunch en Gainesville, Florida, y no me dejaron entrar porque mi suscripción era de otro estado, eso nos dijeron en la puerta, y antes de firmar la membresía, eso es le pregunté a la persona que me estaba atendiendo específicamente, y me respondió que sí, que ibamos a poder entrar a cualquier Crunch dentro de Estados Unidos.

I called a week before my payment was due to cancel my membership and was told the only way to do that would be to come in in person, I work 10 hrs, 5 days a week, the other 2 I have a life that I live. A few days later I was trying to reach corporate to cancel with them, but accidentally called a different location, they gave me an email to cancel, and that’s when I realized 1) I had the wrong number, and 2) whoever I first spoke to, for whatever reason, decided to not tell me this important bit of info. So I called my gym, and was given the wrong email… called a few hours later to get the correct email… and the person I spoke to said he didn’t know what it was because he only works graveyard… I called again the next day and finally got the email but was told I would be charged regardless because my payment was due the next day. I then told her my entire dilemma and that I was trying to cancel a week ago. She said she told management and they would get back to me asap via email. Didn’t hear back from them until the next day and they said my payment was due and they can’t cancel my membership until it’s paid…. Run from this gym. I had crunch years ago and forgot why I left them in the first place… go to 24 hr fitness, they actually give u the option to cancel online and don’t tie u down with a chain and ball

Update on 04/04: I contacted them at the email they provided but never heard back from them. Their reply was only to pretend they will help me, in order to prevent my review from deterring new customers. Run from this gym

Just cancelled my membership. I had to pay 35.00 dollars in order to cancel my membership, which is ridiculous. The first time I came here was in May of 2019 months before COVID-19 hit, and the last time I came here was in October of 2023. I had an okay time at this gym, but some of the staff member including the former manager Johnny were awful employees. The music playing at the gym is terrible. The one major problem I had with this gym were the showers, every once in a while they'll lack hot water.

Facility is small and equipment is limited. For the cost of the monthly membership and what you get is not worth it. The hours for friday and the weekend could be longer. There are people that would still work out past the early closing hours for friday and the weekend. For the cost of the membership longer hours should be taken into consideration however the store manager is only worried about you paying your membership and thats it. Palmdale crunch needs to be remodeled with new hours or give a price reduction to this poor movie theater building of a gym.

The Palmdale Management is irresponsible when it comes to fix broken machines in a reasonable amount of time. Currently the Palmdale location has the sauna unavailable for the last two months. However they are quick on charging late fees to customers that get behind on their monthly fee. They do not take complaints seriously.

Most cardio machines are always broken down, and not cleaned on the daily. I cancelled my membership after 3 plus years of being wit them and Operations still manage to charge me an extra 2 months plus daycare! I’m very disappointed with this facility and disgusted with the way they run things! Also wanna warn you guys they charge you a maintenance fee every year for around $60 the first one about 2 months after you enroll and they don’t even keep facility clean as they should!

Horrible gym, it is always dirty and full no matter what time it is. There is never enough equipment for the amount of members present. The little equipment they have is always broken. I've been coming to this gym going on two months now, I enjoy my workouts every time & so far I noticed it's a different vibe (Good vibe) I get the impression for me it seems like a gym that fosters sociality..just based off of how all the equipment is stationed..in my experience (tho limited) the folks who come to work out seem to leave there attitudes at home an to move with there best foot forward so overall this gym from me gets 5stars.

Worst gym in East Palmdale. Super crowded and dirty. Outside court yard lights have been non working for over an year. ITS A SAFETY HAZARD!!! Since its so crowded inside i move to the outside weights but its pitch black and cant see anything. Theres people having to play basketball in the dark. Honestly can see a lawsuit coming soon from someone getting hurt in the dark. Overall bad gym. Would not recommend.

At first glance it’s nice but then you start working out and realize nothing is where it should be and you can’t find whole sets of free weights. There isnt much gym etiquette. Weights are not put back appropriately at all. It’s also typically over crowded. Some machines are a bit more awkward than necessary. It’s easy to loose focus because of the play in the machines and extra movement that they have. Worth spending the extra $ for a little better quality gym.

I've been a member of this gym since it used to be called Universal Fitness and I hate to say it but I'm very disappointed with this gym now. Me and my fiancé came here to work out because we finally have time to start hitting the gym again. My membership used to include the whole package but now it's the lowest tier package but the same price. It still includes a guest pass but they force you to take a tour of the gym every single time you bring in a guest. They wasted an hour and a half of our time just to give my fiancé permission to work out as a guest under my membership because they want her to get her own membership even though she lives with me. They did not say this was due to Covid or anything, they just said she needed a membership if she did not want to have to take a tour every time she comes. My preworkout was wearing off by the time they allowed us to actually use the gym and our time had already run out so we just left without getting a single workout in.

Furthermore.. they removed the 2 boxing bags that used to be available for everyone upstairs and you now have to pay extra to be able to use any of that. I had to call my bank to stop payment for this membership because they were making it impossible to cancel it.

If i could give 0 stars i would have. This is the absolute worst gym experience i’ve ever had. Not Crunch as a whole, just this location. The lies were constant and i lost so much money in the process. I was in an almost year long battle with them over closing my and an additional account and it wasnt until it was finally closed that i was told the full truth and that they would not help me. After multiple emails, and countless phone calls with a new person every time, i was misled and taken advantage of. I was fully transparent and informed them early on that my Mother had passed away recently and they continued to milk my account without my knowledge. I’m very disheartened and disappointed.

Blanco is a terrible manager he will not help you resolve an issue with your account when it is the gym's fault. He will also charge you twice even when you already paid. It is crucial to always keep all your receipts. Do not place your account on hold or freeze it does not work it is a scam. Blanco will charge you regardless. There is no point of having that option. The gym was in much better management before he took over. They send me constant promotions to go back. I will never waste my money again there with him.

I came in today with my brother and we both got a one day pass and paid 15 dollars for it. We went straight to the locker room which was DISGUSTING, it smelled foul, everything was dirty and there was water all over the floor which is a hazard. The equipment is outdated and they don't have what you need if you are serious about working out. I would not recommend this gym to anybody looking to make progress on their fitness journey, I will not be returning.

Worse experience ever with becoming a member at this gym. Please do not sign any paperwork without reviewing it on site. They will try to hv you sign the signature pad w/o you viewing the contract on their pc monitor. They will inform you that the signed contract will be sent to your email. Honest review: I've been going here since it was built which means I like the place, but one of the major differences they have then other gyms is that the weights are almost never put back.
