I’d love to leave a 5 star review because most of my experience here has been great but after finally meeting the manager who most negative reviews are about today(seriously filter to the one star reviews and she is mentioned by name multiple times). Absolutely tried to gas light me during check in because I can’t check in on the app due to an issue with my apple account. I had my ID , seriously couldn’t check me into the gym using my number and ID like any regular gym would. She has absolutely no type of customer service skills and has a major attitude. I left and am canceling my membership due to her

My husband and I have been coming here for a long time and we are happy with the equipment as well as staff. Yes like anywhere else equipment breaks but they are on top of getting it fixed. I don’t ever see it messy. Always clean and there is always staff around picking up wherever is needed. All of the staff is super friendly and helpful. It is nice to see the General Manager there all the time and interacts with his staff and customers. The classes are great whether it be Zumba with Cindy or HIIT/Muscle Maker class with Gabriel or Roxana. They will all make it super fun and will assist you anyway they can with the workout. No experience in workout necessary they will be there along the way. Go and check it out!

I’ve had a membership for over a year mind you I am white they’ve never been weird until I brought a friend in who wasn’t white I’ve called ahead and asked if she can come in for free since it was her first time it wasn’t until we walked in together that they started being rude towards not only me but to her they made me pay extra for a “free pass” told her she wasn’t allowed to wear what she was wearing she was wearing a dress for her religious views they made us wait an hour and kept directing us to different places and wouldn’t let us work out like we originally came in here for, I didn’t hear anything from other employees but only Cindy, the manager was the one that said we can, she started asking my friend personal questions like is she from here does she have a valid us id where does she live how long has she lived here and etc there just weird for no reason I’ve paid them so much money I want my money back

The worst crunch I have ever been too. The men’s shower was non operational my first day, August of 2024, and is still out of order. July 2025. The single water fountain has been out of order for 6+ months and they offer 3$ branded bottles of water. A great business play by the manager. Gym is a 7/10 clean. Staff is a 4/10. They are comfortable lying to gym members about when the water fountain will be operational. Given crunch is franchised, I hope corporate could help the owner do the right thing.

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. The manager, ARELY RAMIREZ, is one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered in any customer service setting. She speaks to people as if they’re beneath her condescending, dismissive, and flat-out rude. She constantly rolls her eyes, interrupts you mid-sentence, and makes it clear she doesn’t care about your concerns or experience.

It’s shocking that someone with such poor people skills is in charge of managing a gym. If you hate your job, don’t take it out on paying members who are simply trying to get help or clarity on an issue.

I’ve had multiple billing problems with Crunch, and instead of helping, Arely Ramirez made the situation worse with her unhelpful attitude and complete lack of accountability. No solutions, no follow-up just excuses and eye-rolls.

What’s even more frustrating is that I’m not the only one. There are multiple bad reviews calling out Arely by name, all describing the same behavior and yet nothing has been done. It’s clear the company either doesn’t care or isn’t listening to its paying members.

Save yourself the frustration and take your business to a gym that actually values its members and hires competent, respectful management. This place is a joke.

I went in today to resolve a billing issue signed up 3-9-2021 to 3-9-2022 1year contract for $150.00 pif paid in full non-renewable contract expired on 3-9-2022 so I thought check my statements I wa billed annually March 9 2023 March 11 2024 March 10 2025 $67.79 =$203.37 was billed Dec 29 2023 $32.80 then from Nov 9 2023 to Jan 2023 was billed $17.80 total $466.87 included my cancelation fee at my bank to stop payment went to manager she said ABC financial.was.responsible they don't have my debit card info crunch does going in the morning to talk to owner hopefully I get.my refund if not we got good lawyer at my union federal bureau of prisons they don't want the dept of justice to get involved

Went in for a 3 day trial and they require so much just to try the gym out. They needed a bill or proof that I’m a local resident with my name on it which is fine if that’s their policy. After all this the manager came over and told me that I needed something with my name on it to do a trial if not I can pay $15 dollars for the day and they can put it towards my first month. Her tone was aggressive and rude trying to get me to sign up for a membership without being able to try out the gym. Anyways I went to planet fitness and they don’t make all this fuss for a free trial, I ended up getting my member ship there instead. This review is written more for the rude tone of the manager that works there. I dident want to believe the reviews but this was my first experience within 30 min of being there. Believe the reviews and stay away from this place!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I started off excited to sign up for the gym. However, I was disrespected when I asked questions and was treated as if I were stupid. When I showed the front desk lady the promotional ad they posted on social media, she asked if it was from the Crunch Santa Maria page. I said yes. She went on her phone to look it up and claimed she couldn’t find it, so I showed her from my phone. Then she said the post was from December and claimed it wasn’t valid because we are in January, even though I had been there just a week ago, and another employee said she would honor that promo if I decided to sign up after my free trial. Aracelia then stated that the valid promos are pinned at the top of their feed. When I clicked the first pinned post, IT WAS THE SAME PROMO I HAD JUST SHOWN HER (and it was posted three days ago!). She is clearly not up to date and cannot give correct information.

All of this was done with attitude, hostility, and a complete lack of respect. She also gave me a price, and when I asked how much it would be with taxes, she claimed they don’t charge taxes. Which seemed questionable. Her attitude and hostility were on another level. In the end, she rudely said, “Are you going to sign up or not?” as if I were wasting her time.

This was far from the experience I was hoping for. Aracelia treated me extremely poorly. I find it disappointing to be treated like this when all I wanted was to sign up for the gym to start the year off right. It was a total lack of respect.

Customer service is terrible. Is this how you treat your future customers? If I am going to pay for a service the minimum you should offer is respect.

I had a terrible experience with this gym. I signed up for what was advertised as a ‘no commitment’ month-to-month membership at Crunch. Unfortunately, I was hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis and needed to cancel my membership. When I called to cancel, I was instructed to send an email, which I did. I even received confirmation that my cancellation was approved.

Despite this, money was still withdrawn from my account. When I called to address the issue, I was told there was actually a ‘2-month commitment,’ which was never mentioned when I signed up. I asked to speak with a manager, and the person on the phone said, ‘Managers are here, but they can’t speak right now. They’ll call you back.’ Unsurprisingly, I never received a call.

This experience was deeply frustrating and felt misleading. I was upfront about my circumstances, but the lack of transparency and poor customer service made things worse. I would not recommend this gym to anyone.

Not ADA friendly. Aracelia said she was the Manager and didn't even know what ADA even meant. Refused a consult without my "registration" or forcefully taking my information like email ext eft. No business cards. Then said the manager was ART refused to inquire about the AD in front of the business for $11.** False advertising. Also noted there was no such thing as corporate! Checked online and apparently corporate does exist and it's in New York.

I’m military and just moved into the area. I was looking for a gym to try out and sign up for and noticed Crunch Fitness. Signed up for the 3 day pass and came into the location to redeem it. Apparently, you cannot claim the trial pass unless your drivers license says your address is located in the city. How ridiculous is that and even when I mentioned I just moved into the area and my ID didn’t show that because I’m new. They then said I could buy a $15 day pass but that defeats the whole purpose. Why spend extra money for a gym to try out. Seems like a poorly ran company policy. I’d advise all military members stay away. Not military friendly or understanding. Many other better gyms in the area which will actually let you try them out before paying any type of fee.

Crunch has the most unprofessional management, and their “no judgements” policy is a LIE.

I myself am an overweight woman that was interested in getting healthy for a few months so we decided that Crunch would be the most convenient from my home location. We paid our monthly subscription and made well use of the equipment they had to offer for a while until we decided to look into a personal trainer for me.
We did a consultation and had a good first impression up until the sign up feature for it. They asked for a LOT of sensitive information in the sign up / payment contract that we both were nervous about, but we were reassured it was for my own “health”.

The total for our visits with our trainer were around $880.00 per month and my partner and I were told we can cancel ANYTIME — in the fine print the contract states we have 5 days to cancel for a full refund which we were considering. We sat on it for a few days and we both decided that this entire process was extremely rushed by the employees and just way too expensive. So we canceled it, and sent an email to “corporate” saying we were no longer interested within the 5 days.
My partner and I go to Crunch in person to confirm they got our email to which the Manager, I believe her name was Aeriella says that there is NO WAY we can get our money back. It was a “non refundable” exchange. She tells us to reschedule our appointment and that we wouldn’t be charged again afterwards. My partner and I were clearly upset— but so long as we aren’t charged monthly we were okay with sticking it out.
They day of our appointment is here and we waited for my trainer for OVER AN HOUR— for him to basically no show us until we’re about to leave.

We then go to talk to the manager AGAIN about how we just aren’t interested, reminding her that we spoke the previous week— she then starts asking personal questions, asking why we decided to cancel. My partner just states it’s too expensive and he felt pressured by the staff and she replied with a rude expression and a scoff. The manager then turns her attention to me, asking me the same question, I let her know I got good news about my education and no longer had as much free time in my day anymore. Ariella then replies with “really?? Your education is more important than your health.” She hesitated and had to hold back from her first thought and just stared at me with the most disgusted face.

We reconfirmed that we’d be getting our money back, and canceled our membership entirely that night. I’ve never felt so humiliated and taken advantage of in my life. This exchange happened over a month ago and Friday of last week we were CHARGED AGAIN $880.00 to which the manager says “there’s nothing I can do, I’ll call you Monday to figure it out”.

Crunch STOLE $1,300.00 from us as of July 11th.
THEY ARE THIEVES AND LAIRS, there is no corporate. This entire show is ran through that manager. We want our money back.

Gym membership is a scam. Was forced to get into a yearly contract in order to get “rid” of a past closed account. I was like okay no problem. Then at about 3 months before my contract ended I forgot to make one of my payments (I stopped going due to having a new born) and they kept bugging me about paying which okay it’s fine I owed them. A 7 weeks before my contract finished I receive an email from their manager stating that if I went in within the week of the email being sent they would forget about my past dues and “start fresh” and just pay my current month. I went in to pay my late stuff, lady at front said I owed 162 I showed her the email. She said that they would only remove the late fees even though the email stated they would “start me fresh” I said okay how much is the left over. She said 119 I was like why so much I only owed 2 months. Then she said that I needed to pay or my account would go to collections. So I was forced to pay the 119.

When I was leaving I told her I wanted to close my account since it was going to end with my contract in 6 weeks and I had paid all my dues till then. She said to send an email to the manager. I sent that email same day.

The next day I get an email from
The manager stating that I needed to pay 79 dollars to close my account or that would go into my collections. I was like why in the world would I pay 79. She said I needed to pay for the maintenance fee and my month. I was like but I paid 119 dollars the day before now I need to pay that much after the other girl had clearly stated I wasn’t going owe nothing if I sent that email the same day. She said that I also owed that much since I had to give them a 30 day notice. Which my contract was going to expire in exactly 6 weeks! Which it was way over 30 days.

The staff is super nice but the equipment isn’t the best 👎
Half of the stair-masters are broken since 2 years ago and they have not been replaced.
Despite that we pay for an annual fee.
Crunch should really consider buying next door to extend this gym it definitely would be a hit !!! We need a woman side !!

None of the showers work. When i asked, i was told they are under renovation but no signs or notices about renovation. Showers looked like they have not worked for quite some time.

I was told I would receive a free t-shirt upon signing up. When I tried to collect the shirt I was told I needed to provide personal information for 10 people to collect the t-shirt. What an invasion of privacy/scam. Also, there is a consistent pee puddle next to the locker room wall. The employees are constantly badgering people about their memberships. Not a good place. Go anywhere else.
Update: Before I left the manager approached me and apologized about the way I was treated. She informed me that the front desk girl was new and didn’t understand the gym policies. I did leave with the promised, “free t-shirt” that was supposed to be included in my “peak” membership.

I was traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco in California and I needed to take a shower to continue the trip more relaxed, I remembered that I am a member of Crunch fitness which is an excellent franchise in Orlando and I decided to change my route to Céu ch fitness in Santa Maria , it was the worst experience I had, I was poorly attended and when I got to the bathroom all 3 showers were broken , if you want to become a member and want to take a shower to go home or go to an appointment after training the fitness crunch of Santa Maria is not the option.

Horrible facility. No men's showers for months... claiming under remodel but really just an excuse to save water. When you cancel, they "forget" and then charge you almost $75 the next month claiming you owe an annual maintenance fee. This place is a complete rip off. Avoid and never go here.

Honestly a rip off. It’s was always packed no matter what! Also, they provide no clips or bar bell padding. On top of that, the employees yell at you if you don’t show them your towel (which they charge you for) as soon as you enter. Throughout the months they continue to add random fees without specifying. They also don’t tell you about the $50 cancellation fee. They have a policy requiring customers to cancel 10 days before your renewal via emailed which I did! However, it took the manager 2 days to reply so I was charged over $60 because I apparently did not let them know 10 days in advance (I did). Save yourself the money and find another gym in Santa Maria that’s actually worth it!

Bad experience. Sent email stating that I wanted to cancel my membership, just like they asked me to. They replied to my email stating they would charge me $89.for early termination. I was ok with that. Following month got charged my monthly membership of $34.99 . I sent an email just liked they asked me to again stating I wanted credit for what I was charged. Now waiting for a response. So far they have not responded to my email ✉️

Came here expecting to be able to take a shower. Hit legs, was sweating like crazy. To my surprise, the showers were operational at all. Completely out of service. I spoke to Arcelia, she was very kind and respectful. She gave me a full refund. I appreciate what she did, and how clean the gym was. Would definitely come back.

Staff was completely unhelpful. I have a membership through my health insurance and they didn’t even try to create the membership. The manager is absolutely rude and said the computer didn’t work. I’ve come here 3 times to set it up and they were trying to be charge me a $15 day pass because of their fault. As the customer, I did my part, for this gym, they didn’t even attempt and I can tell.

Be careful! They are thieves!!!! I did not have a contract with them. I was doing month to month I cancel my membership and continue to charge me. I froze my account and they unfreeze it and charge me multiple times in just one day. It seems like they like to charge My account multiple times in a month. This place needs to get shot down and sue for stealing peoples money.
