Unfortunately, I have to come here and do this. Right when the gym opened, a guy was holding a machine for over 30 minutes, and when I asked him if I could use it (since he was doing something else), he got angry, started swearing at me, and almost got into a fight. I called the management, told them what happened, and nothing was done. A few days later, I found out why: this same guy was the husband of one of the personal trainers who works there. Ok, I spoke to one of the owners once, and it seems it was resolved, but this personal trainer and the manager make a point of making it clear that they "hate" me every time they see me… Today (months later), I asked another man twice if he had finished using a machine, and he looked at me, didn't answer, and even "huffed." He left and went into the gym's personal training room and came out wearing the gym's uniform, meaning he also works there… In short, the gym is very good and clean, however they should review some of the people who work there because they are very rude, and they should at least treat customers with respect, since I did absolutely nothing to deserve being mistreated.

I had a really disappointing experience at this Crunch Fitness location. The staff at the front desk were extremely rude and didn’t pay attention to anything. They were more focused on talking among themselves than helping members. When I asked a simple question, their attitude was unprofessional and unwelcoming. On top of that, the gym was super overcrowded. Almost every machine was taken, the walkways were packed, and it didn’t feel like a comfortable workout environment at all. Definitely not worth the membership. I won’t be coming back.

I loved this HIIT class! Dwayne the instructor explained each movement clearly and offered modifications for all fitness levels. The pacing was perfect challenging but doable and the playlist kept the energy high. I walked out feeling exhausted in the best way. Highly recommend for anyone looking to build strength, endurance, and confidence. I started this year and ended it two different people

Words cannot not express how grateful I am for this gym and a particular trainer I've been working with for some time. For my 45 years on earth I've never believed in using a trainer, due to the fact that I was a trainer myself for 20 years. But as a 100% p&t disabled military combat veteran I have learned the importance of reaching out to other professionals to help gain life-style balance and achieve positive mental health. As veterans, its easy to fall into a mental funk and lose our competitive warrior edge and run to other negative areas to try and smother past trauma's we've encountered. Not to mention, working in my line of duty today as a first responder it is important to keep your mind focused and self-confidence manifested.
Working with Dwayne who is also a Muay Thai Champion in his field of fitness has supported me tremendously in gaining that warrior's edge, a fit life and instinctive fighters mind set back. Now I feel alot more balanced, happier, & more grounded in my day to day activities. If you are a veteran in the community I would insure you to look into seeking out his guidance. For it can only bring you nothing but positivity and balance back in your life!
Sincerely,

Don’t let this gym fool you! It is new and has an ok set up however they sold too many memberships and there is no room to safely work out. It is a health hazard as it needs to be checked on occupancy as I suspect is way past its limit. Lot’s of creepy old dudes staring at women very close up. Also, cops seem to be here more often than desired due to ego and immature dudes. I have it a chance and not impressed. Very greedy owners overselling memberships.

Do not sign up for this bs. I signed up for 1$ one month free when it was about to open and I had selected 10$ plan when I was applying for the 1$ one month free and all the sudden when I wanna cancel i'am faced with a cancellation fee up to 89 and I choose another option to pay it slowly because I had no choice. It also said I was being charged 29.99$ a month meaning they signed me up for premium membership in which they did when in reality I signed up for regular??? And now every dam day all I see is them trying to take my money out of my bank account they can't do so because I only have 2$ in my bank account so all I see is Ive been charged but was declined due to insufficient funds and now because of late fees I'am being charged over 117 like i'm a teenager with barely any dam money in my bank account and now i'am being charged crazy because the employees put me into a plan I did not sign up for id say don't go to this its packed as hell go back to planet or another gym because this is a scam trying to take up your money upon cancellation. If you guys do not believe me search up online the problem with crunch fitness its highly possible you will see people complain about the same dam problem.

I’m extremely disappointed with the way they treated children here. The staff showed a complete lack of respect and patience — speaking rudely and behaving inappropriately around kids. It’s unacceptable for any place that deals with families to act this way. I expected kindness and professionalism, but instead got attitude and disrespect. I will definitely not be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values a respectful environment for their children

Slightly better than Planet Fitness in that it has new equipment, and (for now) more attentive staff. However, at the end of the day, this is a big box gym focused on maximizing profit by signing up as many members as possible through marketing ploys and through the use of binding contracts to extract a few extra dollars out of each person who signs up. At the end of the day, this amounts to an unsatisfying experience. A couple things to know:
(1) The monthly rate for the gym is affordable. However, the $1 for the first month deal comes with hidden fees. Namely, there is a 30-day cancellation period and an annual fee. So, if you cancel shortly after that first month ends (as I did) you end up paying $31.99 for two additional months plus the $40 plus annual fee. That means that the $1 you thought you were paying ended up being $105.
Granted, these hidden fees were in the contract they emailed to me after I signed up, but when I handed them my credit card after they told me the first month was only $1, they didn't tell me about these hidden fees. This is pretty underhanded. Let's be honest, most people don't read the contract for their gym membership.
(2) One potential benefit of Crunch over other gyms is that they offer group fitness. However, the group fitness classes are quite varied, so if there is a certain type of class you like, it is only offered once in a while. Plus, the classes are usually completely full making it hard to get a spot. The system doesn't allow you book a class more than a day in advance, which makes it extra difficult to get a spot for any given class. Ultimately, if you like group fitness, you should go to a group fitness gym, not Crunch.
In sum, if you are self-motivated and like weight lifting, Crunch is a good option for you. However, if you need motivation, want a personalized or unique experience, or if you like group fitness, I recommend going elsewhere.

Edit: I have noticed that the staff are trying their best but i have some complaints. At first I mentioned the sound wasn't that bad but the more I come here it feels like I am coming to a rave rather than a gym. The music is loud enough were I am wearing headphones at max volume just to barely hear my music. It gives me a headache. The gym feels disorganized maybe it's not the staffs fault for i have notice other gym members being careless with the equipment. Such as breaking the machine or miss placing the gym equipment or just not moving it back at all.

Worst customer service.
Auto charged for my wife and my gym membership. When asked to cancel and get a refund since I enrolled several months back but never joined crunch nor did I get an email that I will be charged, I was told there is no way I will get a refund and even for cancellation I will have to come in person (even after explaining that I have been traveling since past month and can not be there in person)
Also to add to that, the customer rep mentioned I will be charged annual membership + first month
Without stepping into the building.
Be aware before anyone wants to signup.

I joined this gym hoping for a better experience than Planet Fitness, which I left due to overcrowding. Ironically, this gym is even more packed—despite being much larger in size.
What really disappointed me is the abs workout area. There’s only one ab cruncher machine for the entire gym, and it’s always in use. I asked a staff member if they could consider adding more equipment, and their response was to ask the person using it how many reps they have left. That’s seriously the solution?
At least Planet Fitness had multiple machines for abs, even with the crowds. For a gym this size, it’s frustrating that they haven’t invested in more core-focused equipment. Adding just one or two more machines would make a huge difference.

Overall the gym is nice and clean. My only complaint is they don’t have enough group fitness classes. With the amount of people wanting to take classes there needs to be more offered throughout the day. Currently all the classes they do offer are very difficult to get into and are over crowd. Ideally, they should offer some mid-day classes (11am or Noon) to help with this demand. Adding more variety, such as TRX, Pilates, or Boot Camps, would also help keep things fresh and appealing for members.

I’ve had a really frustrating experience with Crunch Fitness in Tracy. After an initial billing mistake where I was overcharged $105 instead of the $1 promotional sign-up, I tried to get help from management. Unfortunately, not only did I not get a timely refund, but the manager just kept brushing me off and making excuses. It’s been over a week now with no resolution. Honestly, I expected better customer service and accountability. Really disappointed and hoping others have a smoother experience than I did.

I signed up for crunch fitness when it was promoting its early bird special: $1 to join and 1 month free, and I’ve been attending the gym since it’s opening. Facility is very clean. Staff is very personable, and friendly. If you have any questions or concerns they address them. If equipment is down they address it promptly. I’ve really been enjoying the childcare they have on site. The childcare facility staff are very kind as well. My 4 year daughter loves coming to the gym so she can go inside the childcare facility, and play! Just this morning she brought one of the staff members an artwork of Her’s as a thank you for their care.

It’s a slightly upgraded planet fitness. Paying for the highest package is not worth it. The extra benefits that come with it are almost never available like the R&R room and there’s zero enforcement of non paying members using it. Staff is basically all high school kids with zero customer service training. Better than planet fitness but stick to the base package.

F Y I for parents———Gym 5 ⭐️ but daycare 2 ⭐️ just bc a lot of the women working there don’t seem to like taking care of the kids while parents workout, they have attitude and strong energy and babies don’t like that :(, I strongly think crunch should hire women who actually have experience working with kids & don’t care about how long parents take to come back (2hr limit), other than taking care of the babies…. THERE IS 2 girls who i like a lot & so my son, who actually pay attention to the little ones and understands their needs or at least try.

I enjoy the new gym in the area and appreciate the amenities, such as the sauna, daycare, and relaxation room. However, I do have some concerns about the management.
First, the music is excessively loud, making it difficult to hear my own music through my AirPods or headphones. It would be nice if they played something that doesn't make me feel like I'm at a middle school dance or in a club playing millennial songs like "City Nights".
I'm also curious about how they manage capacity during peak hours. I visited on a Wednesday night at 6 PM, and it was quite chaotic. There were teens huddled around machines, asking how much longer I would be on a piece of equipment, and then waiting right behind me. There seems to be a lack of gym etiquette.
Additionally, I would like to know when the Hot Studio will be accessible. I pay for the Peak Results membership and expected that such details would have been sorted out prior to their grand opening. It also seems that they are under-staffed, as the supply of waters and energy drinks in the front is often low, and the childcare facility could benefit from extended hours during peak times. It's disappointing when the gym is overcrowded, yet the childcare is at capacity.
Regarding the relaxation room, only one sauna is operational while the second one is "coming soon," whatever that means. I understand that no shoes are allowed inside, but I have concerns about cleanliness for those walking in barefoot. How often is the sauna cleaned? My biggest concern is that there doesn't appear to be any limit enforced for sauna usage. I waited about 30 minutes for access to one, which seems excessive. There should definitely be a shoe cubby next to the sauna area for personal items. Currently, there is a pile of shoes and belongings on the floor near the sauna, which feels quite unorganized and unethical. Additionally, there is a broken shoe rack that only accommodates about four pairs of shoes--who planned this?
I also wonder how access to the relaxation room is enforced for those who don't pay for the Peak Results membership. Although there is a QR code for entry, it seems easy for others to sneak in, which makes me reconsider whether I should switch packages.
Overall, I have high hopes for this gym, especially since I transferred from Fit 19 in Livermore to Crunch, as I now live in MoHo. I hope my feedback is taken into consideration.

Enrolled as a foundational member and first day went to gym. Its a 9 miles drive from my home so 18 miles total. Parking was difficult so had to park to really a distant corner. Then entered gym and could not find a single machine that I can use as it was extremely crowded. May be try couple of times more and if the same experience will cancel my membership and update again.

I attended Crunch’s grand opening and was really disappointed. The event was very chaotic, and it seemed like the staff only cared about signing up new people while completely ignoring those of us who had already signed up. The staff were extremely rude — especially Alexis, who was handing out shirts. The lines were long, the organization was poor, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming.
I initially signed up for the $29.99 x3 membership but will be downgrading to the $9 option and keeping my 24 Hour Fitness membership. Crunch came across as money-hungry with rude staff, and that’s not the kind of environment I want to support.
