So ive been a member here for more then 3 yrs or so. Everything is great here and this gym is very sentimental to me. Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership due to being lied to about getting a trainer which I asked if I was to cancel before my training started it would not be charged on my card. I was charged $200 thinking I can get it resolved, never was giving an email or number to speak to the District manager. I understand its a "contract" but when the GM said I wouldn't get charged before my first training ever started it would cancel. Im short $200 im probably never getting back. Im very deeply hurt about canceling which i never wanted to do. I only want my money back and to resolve my issue. I hope corporate or the DM sees this as well as the other 80 Million other views I have on here on Google.

Honestly this gym is so well maintained and I am always greeted by the staff at the desk. They make the gym experience something to look towards and always makes me want to come working out there. THEIR PARKING LOT IS INFESTED WITH ROACHES!! BAD CRAWLING EVERYWHERE threw something away and the garbage was covered with roaches that a lot had scattered!! Found one in my locker on my bag think I'm going to retract my membership if they don't care about us taking roaches hm in our bags because they are crawling in their lockers. Something should be done. Roaches especially an infestation nearby or seeing one shouldn't be taken to the light of heart. Terrible when they were told they just ignored what was said... I went to this crunch in Van Nuys to inquire about gym membership and fees,the front desk lady asked for my info at which I said no ,I just want to know the plans you people have and she told me she can't help me and if I want to know the plans, she will need my info in order to check for the plans and when I asked for the handout which details the plans ,she told can't have that. She told me if I want to know the plans,I should go online and check.
At that point ,she walked away and left me there. I had to leave and take my business somewhere else.

I visited a few days ago, hoping to run on a treadmill. There are no prices listed, and they wouldn't tell me what the prices were. They said to "go online." I asked, "There's no way that you can just tell me what the prices are and have me pay? I'm literally standing here in the gym at the counter." They said no. So I went to my phone, and after 5 minutes of slow service, I finally got on their site. The prices were very confusing. $25 for a month, $9.99 for a month for this gym, but you have to pay for a year, but you can cancel after 2 months, but you'll only have to pay $9.99 today, but you can't sign up until you register, but you can't register unless you also agree to ads, emails, and data collection...

When I complained that I would just like to pay to use the gym in a simple way, the manager explained that their business model is to get referrals and spread by people bringing their friends and then getting their business...I'm not sure why he told me this. I was literally standing there ready to give them money, but being required to jump all of these hurdles have nothing to do with using the gym. This is an awful business model.

I eventually just left.

If you can tolerate abhorrent corporate exploitation and nonthinking employees, then I'm sure you'll be fine. Seemed like a decent gym.

I finally decided to speak out about my experience with Crunch Fitness gym. It was a terrible place it happen 2 years ago I was new to the gym. They asked if I wanted a personal trainer and I agreed they charge me $500 for the trainer unfortunately, the personal trainer wasn’t knowledgeable they use a machine to calculate and images to show what could happen to your body but didn’t provide any information about healthy eating, calorie deficit, or safe weight loss. I expected guidance on nutrition especially for $500 but all I got was someone telling me to show up and workout and they didn’t even advise me on taking protein supplements like that’s how you build muscles how you not going to explain to me after my workout session just left like nothing. After that incident I cancel everything well I thought I did until I got charge another $500 the next month and I couldn’t get my money back it was just bad. I’m proud of myself now because I’ve learn a lot about fitness including losing fat, building muscles, understanding macros, and calorie deficit. I’m just disappointed that a big company like Crunch Fitness are suppose to help us and most trainer there aren’t knowledgeable. Lesson learn man glad I don’t go to the gym no more I build my own home gym best thing I ever invested.

Since zero stars is not an option 1 would have to do. This location is only about sales. There is no customer service at this location and the staff could care less about any concerns. I signed up for a membership online and sustained an injury that will not allow me to workout at a gym. I never came in or checked in to use the gym. I asked for a cancelation because of my condition and I was offered to pause the account. That sounded okay until they said I will still be charged even though I cannot workout and have not used the gym. I continued to request a cancelation, and a very rude Manager Jose came forward to advise me that he would not cancel my account. He also advised me that my account would continue to be charged and I would just go to collections. I don't know who hired Jose but he is very rude and standoffish. I advised him that complaints would be filed and he welcomed that. This place is very unprofessional, and I would not sign up with a place who lacks customer service. The owner of this place ought to be ashamed of how this location is ran. It is not hard to cancel a service, and not charge an account when no services were ever rendered.

My experience at Crunch Fitness was very disappointing. I recently moved to the area and booked a 7-day membership pass online. When I arrived the next day, the manager said it had expired and only allowed me to try the gym for one day. While that was rude, I decided one day would be enough to explore the gym.

The worst part was receiving an email about my card being left at the gym. When I went to retrieve it, the staff said only the manager knew about it, and he wasn't there. On my second visit, the manager seemed impatient and claimed they didn’t have my card. Apparently, they don’t keep lost items at the gym.

I recently joined Crunch Fitness and have been thoroughly disappointed, mainly due to the incredibly rude staff. From the very beginning, the front desk employees have been dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked for assistance with setting up my membership, they acted as if I was a burden and barely gave me the time of day.

I run a sober living and I paid out of my own pocket for my clients to be able to go to the gym. They have made up rules that weren’t in any paperwork that I signed. So I have multiple clients and they knew this when I signed up for my membership they knew this . I feel like they are very biased and rude to all my people who go up there. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Overall it's a small gym with all basic equipment and like 2 showers one of which is with a curtain and a broken hose. I feel like it's not enough but the staff assured me it doesn't get that busy there.
They have month to month payments as well as annual. The price is affordable and you can cancel your membership any time after first 2 months. They dont have sauna, swimming pool or a basketball court but for your body improvement needs its more than enough. Nice music, people around are nice and friendly. So far so good 👍

It's actually a lot bigger than it looks I got a tour and it does have upstairs and lots of goodies I did find the bathrooms a little smaller than I like only two showers for men I didn't get into the women but I'm sure it's about the same. I really enjoy the HITT area where the free weights are. The gym-goers here around the morning are also pretty nice and mind their own business. There are occasionally people who do not rack weights which is annoying but there are also people who are communal and help re-rack abandoned equipment.

I like Crunch Fitness for their affordability and convenience. It's a small gym with limited amenities, but I'm in it strictly for the weights. It gets crowded after the high school kids get out, and also at night after work. The neighborhood it sits in isn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but it is the closest gym to my house. I started taking my 12-year-old son with me and our memberships combined are still cheaper than 24 Hour Fitness.

First and foremost, they’re borderline fraudulent with their signup and fees. I was told I had to pay a one-time fee to sign up and that going forward it would be monthly. Turns out the “one-time fee” is an annual fee. Upon being charged again, I tried to discuss this with the GM who was rude, curt, and made no attempt whatsoever to be helpful.

As far as the gym itself goes, it’s way too crowded with minimal equipment, including bars constantly missing from benches.

It’s a ripoff, go somewhere else.

I come here frequently it's a nice gym and gets the job done, not too big not too small.

But be aware peak hours are filling with people, groups, and high schoolers hogging up a lot of equipment for way too long. People are pretty back at putting weights back where it belongs or just not returning them back to the racks. I guess this is at every gym to be honest though.

But aside from that Google maps is a pretty way to see when the gym is packed so plan around peak hours if you want to have an effective workout and have little to no weight or time spend looking for weights or waiting for them to be available

Might as well just copy and past the review for northridge here too as this gym has gone down hill as well Unfortunately I have to keep coming here because it's cheap but man this gym has gone downhill and fast... All water fountains except for 1 are warm, they removed the good filtered water, the machines are dirty, a bunch don't even work, the pads on machines are cracking with no refurbishment in site, the lockers are also dirty, it's like this place met its quota and they said eff it, no more up keep, even the towel service is bad... Did they stop buying detergent for the washer? The towels stink, the ac in the locker works half the time, the shower nozzels semi work, downhill

This is not the usual club I go to daily but the staff is professional and friendly. The club is a little disorganized members leave equipment strewn all over the club, so it was hard to find equipment needed for my work out in the short time I had for the day I was there. However the over all cleanliness is above standard.
