Update: We just completed a 6-week challenge that was both challenging and rewarding. Personally, this challenge kept me focused on my eating, water intake, protein proportion and other things we often forget about in our exercise journeys.
During this challenge, there was an incredible amount of support from the coaches, and other members. There is such a sense of community and people really want to see others succeed.
Simply put, D1 Pleasanton is a great place to workout.
Whether you're a beginner, a seasoned athlete, or somewhere in between, D1's workouts will challenge you, but also reward your consistency. Throughout the 8-week programs, you're consistently building upon the week before, but the workouts vary each time so they don't feel stagnant or repetitive. They have a ton of weights (dumbbells, kettlebells, plates, etc.) from the lightest to the heaviest, and you never have to worry about not being able to find the exact weight you're looking for.
What really makes D1 is the people...both the customers and employees. With the way the classes are set up, you workout with people of all skill levels and backgrounds. I've met, and worked out, with a lot of people that I might not meet or interact with at a commercial gym. Regardless of what, or how much, you're lifting, everyone is really supportive and wants to see each other succeed. I've been working out here 2+ years and I've seen some incredible transformations along the way.
The coaches and staff are incredible, too. The coaches really take the time to demonstrate the moves and proper techniques. They'll make sure you're doing the exercises correctly and finetune your posture to help maximize results. Most importantly, they're just good people who care about helping people succeed.
The General Manager, Tatiana, is just one of the coolest people you can ever meet. She is super helpful with any question and, overall, just rocks! We'd be lost without her!
At the front desk, Hazel is always smiling and giving encouragement before workouts. Her and Tatiana are a dynamic duo!
The owner, Sanjay, has set up an incredible place to workout with great people to do it alongside.
All that being said, if you want to workout with the best people, the best coaches, and the best equipment, come to D1.

I participated in D1's 6 week weight loss challenge at the Pleasanton facility and had a great experience. As long as you follow the guidance, you will see results. The advice provided is not overly aggressive but rather very sustainable, allowing the journey to continue beyond 6 weeks.
The workouts are excellent; they change weekly, which keeps them interesting. The best part of the facility is the coaches - Josh, Ali, Reggie, and Derek. All of them are great; they pay attention to form and ensure the postures are correct. If you happen to be in the same session as Sanjay (the owner), he motivates everyone to push themselves harder and recommends minor adjustments to help improve.
Overall, great experience and will continue my journey with D1 beyond the 6 week challenge.

I’ve been going to D1 Pleasanton for almost a year, and I absolutely love it. The workouts are structured with a strong focus on strength and conditioning, and the trainers are both knowledgeable and genuinely supportive—they really take the time to guide and challenge you. With the recent Hyrox partnership, we now get Hyrox workouts twice a week, which has been an amazing addition. I saw D1 Pleasanton on Instagram and was intrigued. They have a trainer with you at all times to help and guide you through the workouts. I have been thrilled with my time at D1. The coaches are friendly and safety-focused with classes small enough to actually spend time correcting the form of each participant. I have gotten much stronger and had significant results since joining. This location is proof that you get what you pay for with group fitness. Totally worth the cost! This is where I workout physically and stress out from the work mentally. Even though, it is very hard for me to wake up early, I go D1 every morning yo get my daily motivation shot. (Well, maybe I skip sometimes 😂) The coaches, owners (Sanjay and Preeti) and the people in the gym family always encourage me to do my actual potential when I am being lazy. Update- After 4 months of rookie class, the class is gotten too big. 18-20 kids with one coach and most of the time the coach is simply trying to manage the kids. This is not the coaches fault way too many kids for one class.
My daughter goes to the rookie class two times a week. The classes are super fun and the teachers are amazing. Special shout out to Chris who is a favorite of the kids and makes the classes a lot of fun! Highly recommend the rookie class!

As a longtime member, I've noticed substantial shifts at the gym after the founding team of coaches and manager left. The once-customized training and active coaching have given way to a more passive style, diminishing the gym's personal touch. Additionally, coach engagement has decreased, with some distracted by their phones during sessions, affecting the supportive environment.
The requirement to share stations, without accommodating individual fitness levels, undermines the gym's inclusivity. It's reasonable to share, but pairing members of similar strength levels would be more appropriate and effective. Additionally, the revised cancellation policy, especially regarding medical emergencies, departs from the gym's former flexibility and focus on member needs.
The recent changes have unfortunately diminished my overall experience.

Our daughter has been attending D1 Pleasanton for the past 3 weeks and is loving it. She needed to start some cross training before her swim season starts and this is the perfect place for the type of training she needs. Coach Joseph has been great with her and the other kids in the class. He is very attentive and doesn't just make sure the kids are getting their workouts done but also making sure they are doing things correctly so they don't get injured. Looking forward to watching her progress.

Not a great experience after my son spending 8months (especially after coach Jesse left). He got his thumb fractured during one of the session at D1 and they didn’t have the courtesy to stop the billing until resumed and even he had injury related issues once resumed and wanted to stop him but they had no courtesy and continued to charge for 5 more weeks even upon requesting (considering 30 day cancellation policy). While the injury is caused at the Centre, the customer service (except the person at the front desk) is very poor. A bad customer experience (No email or follow up call from Site manager). A good service is not to show a smile when you sign up and continue paying but to assist and support when needed so as to ensure to return back.

I have been doing D1 for a week and I have been enjoying it a lot! Its a nice way to get my physical exercise in since most of the time I am just sitting in a chair at school or at home doing my homework. I used to do gym on my own but i ended up skipping many days and then I just completely stopped. I feel like D1 is really nice because its structured and you have people doing it with you!!

My son Noah has been attending the Rookie class twice a week for quite some time now. He is always up to learning different fundamental forms of exercise with his peers. The best training program I have been participating! Used to burn only 300+ calories whenever I hit the gym on my own, and now I am able to burn 600-700 calories every time I get trained with D1 Training. It is not easy at all but the result is amazing!

I honestly never thought the money for these type of gyms was not worth it. Man I was wrong I’ve been coming for about 3 weeks now and I love it. The atmosphere is great! The trainers and people who come have great attitudes and are super supportive. The workouts are not long compared to going to a regular gym on your own but I think they are super effective and I feel so much better since I’ve joined.

I’ve worked out in lots of gyms over the years .From traditional 24 hour types to CrossFit . D1 trading is a perfect mix of both .
