Wednesdays are the best days! I've been coming here since early 2024 and I've had a pretty positive experience. I came here initially looking for additional strength resistance training classes in addition to my other personal training and found David HL. through my other mutual connections of dance. When you first meet up with David HL., you go over what your fitness goals and what you're looking for with the services that they provide. I was up front that I already do other physical activities outside of this so I wouldn't be able to have multiple sessions due to work and previous commitments. He was very accommodating and willing to make it work with my schedule. Your workout sessions can either be semi-private group sessions with about 5 or 6 people or it can be private personal training as well. The way the classes are structured is different from other group strength resistance/HIIT classes because here the trainers actually make individual workout plans for you and give you c orrections and watch your form during the group session. It's not a large class that everyone's doing the same thing with no one watching you. You might have one buddy doing some exercises with you, but a majority of the session is planned around you. Whether it's a full body day, lower body, upper body, or whatever muscle group you're looking for. The prices are very fair and just talk with David L. to see where he can help. The space is small, but it has all of the equipment you need. Since you have small classes and you meet with them regularly time, you can build relationships and have a buddy to cheer you on. Of course before you even do semi-private group training, you should have some sort of knowledge either personally or take private training to understand movement concepts. If you come in with no experience immediately into semi-private group sessions it might be hard. David L. does work with all types of clients and he specializes in calisthenics. I see David HL constantly take additional educational enrichment opportunities for himself to share with our community. We also have another trainer also named David L there that either subs for David HL or helps alongside during a group training class. He's also an excellent trainer that gives good corrections and strength resistance exercises. In terms of how they class is structured, it is scheduled in a 1 hour increment and usually you have a focus that you're working on with the instructor (upper/lower/arms/back/etc.). First you do a 5 minute group warm up with the class, and then you go straight into your exercises. You'll do plenty of exercises during the 50 minutes you have with whatever reps or sets that your trainer has chosen for the movement. After that you will move on to the next movement. Last 5 minutes of class is usually a group burnout or exercise that is fun and then you do some stretching. We all do collectively clean the space and equipment so we do our part to respect the space. If there's anything that's bothering you from the week before or injuries that you've acquired, please do let the trainer know so that he can make modifications or adjustments. Also if you have any feedback regarding a exercise that you might be having trouble with, also let them know. I personally have hard time giving cues about what I'm noticing about my body, so it's nice how the trainers do check up on you and make sure that you're engaging whatever muscle groups that you're using. Other than that, this place is the gem that is hard to find at other Fitness places. I highly recommend you check him out or at least have a conversation with him what you're looking for.

I've been a member of BMF for 6 months, and I can't say enough good things about my experience with the two trainers, David and David. From the moment I walked through the doors, they've been incredibly supportive and professional. They take the time to get to know you as an individual, which really makes a difference.

These Davids are fitness superstars! They took the time to understand my shoulder issues and then developed a plan to improve my mobility and strength. They started me off slowly, focusing on corrective exercises and stretches to restore proper shoulder mechanics. It was a little uncomfortable at first, but I could already feel things loosening up and moving better.

With their expert guidance, I've seen amazing improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness. The workouts are customized to challenge me, but always in a way that keeps me safe and focused on proper form. They have a deep understanding of exercise science.

What I appreciate most is their genuine commitment to helping me reach my goals. They check in regularly to make sure I'm on track and offer practical advice along the way. They've also been fantastic at keeping me motivated and accountable. Those Davids know how to make fitness fun, and they keep me coming back for more!

I'm so grateful to have found trainers who listened to my concerns, addressed the root causes, and helped me rebuild my capabilities in a safe, sustainable way. If you're looking for trainers who truly know their stuff and care about your progress, I can't recommend BMF and the dynamic duo of David enough. I joined Bold back in April and it’s been a great experience so far. The gym is small but well-equipped, with everything you need for a solid workout. The atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. The staff are knowledgeable and approachable, always ready to offer advice or help with a workout plan.

Also, I’ve dealt with Sciatica pain for years and David has really helped me incorporate stretches and exercises to reduce the daily pain that I have.

I have NEVER been a "gym" person. I was the girl who walked the track during the mile run in school, joined swim team because it's easy, and thought sweating was gross. However, too many years and sweets later, I had to start moving for my health. Cue scrolling on Instagram and finding this local gem. I gave it a "try" in March and never looked back. The two trainers are named David, and they both do a great job of keeping you motivated and accountable. I go 2-3x a week for small group classes and it's fun, challenging, but I also feel supported in regards to my knee pain and health journey. I didn't even know how to do a squat when I started! I was using the baby 5lb weights, but I'm using the 20-25lbs now, deadlifting, and able to move my body more efficiently even in life outside the gym. I really recommend this place if you want to learn how to move your body pain free. It also keeps me accountable because if I have an "appointment" then I do my best not to miss. When I was doing 24hr fitness on my own I didn't know what I was doing and didn't care if I skipped because it was just me I was canceling on. Can't wait to see more results! I'm down almost 2 pants sizes in 6 months but more importantly my health has really improved and my medications have been gradually decreased since I started working out consistently! Both David's have their own style and keep classes fun and take their time with you individually when needed as well!

I decided to join David's online program and be part of the proposed challenge to improve my dance skills and at the same time my fitness skills.

Before signing up for this online program, I was afraid about if it will really going to benefit me in my journey. Fortunately I joined the challenge and I don't regret it because the experience helped me a lot to improve the way I do my workouts.

During the program David it was focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more sit ups / core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session.

Importantly:
- He ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries.
- He is extremely reliable & punctual – always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned.
- He is very kind and friendly, and you can notice that he cares about your goals.

Bold Movement Fitness is a great place to start if you want to get consistent in working out. That was my issue before. Then once I joined over a year ago, having the small group/semi-private training motivated me to show up even if I wasn't feeling like it, keep at it, and stay fit. Between the 2-3 other people in my small group, David individually programmed the exercises based on our personal goals and challenged me. But he also adjusted the workouts or gave alternatives, for example if an exercise was painful or uncomfortable for a certain part of the body to stretch, better engage, and strengthen that body part. David and I worked on hip mobility especially at the start. So that helped with my tight hips and he got me doing deadlifts in proper form without feeling any lower back pain! Now I'm doing home programming with better ideas of what to do and David’s oversight. He's one of the best private personal trainers plus the gym space is clean and has fairly new equipment. I'm thankful I gave this gym a try!

Honestly, David did an exceptional job at motivating me to make healthy habits of eating and working out. With his tailored workout program specific to my movement abilities, I achieved a level of fitness I haven’t been at since over a year ago. It’s all things I can do at home too and all I have is a chair, couch, 2 dumbbells and some resistant bands (didn’t use too much). He can make a workout routine, emphasis on the routine, based on your level of fitness and equipment available and personal goal, for me it was to gain muscle but stay lean. I would say not to fully rely on his gym/program all together since at the end of the day it’s the habits we choose to create. Incorporating a habit of working out consistently is what helped me most and eating 30g of protein in the morning.

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND for ALL PHASES OF LIFE: Was introduced to David, owner, and BOLD Movement Fitness (off-site/online videos/correspondence) when he organized and offered a unique opportunity through one of his community outreaches. It was a 6 week Fitness Challenge (4 teams). Those next 6 weeks became a very significant piece of the puzzle of maintaining my health and wellness during my post-menopausal phase of life which has brought new and uncharted circumstances to my body.
David created personalized plans and options, based upon an initial assessment, of each of our current physical status, equipment/gym accessibility, and personal goals. I was impressed by the detail and time he took to formulate and individualize plans for about 50 people who signed up for the Challenge. He offered to any who desired more, revised and updated plans mid-challenge.
With focused daily efforts, following his recommendations, I saw my body transform and recompose before my eyes! Fitness and wellness have been a lifestyle my entire adult life, and I have gained much knowledge over the years, but post-menopause threw me for a loop. The strategies I used before were no longer effective. I was at a loss. Tried a few strategies, which did work for a time, but then I got bored. I was at a loss, until I met David.
I highly recommend David, and his expertise, through all phases of life. In 6 short weeks, I am now in the best shape I have been in years, simply by incorporating some new tools which David tailored to my needs. I gained the missing pieces so I can keep my nutrition and workouts fresh and new going forward. I also incorporated a free app to help me journal my nutrition, and to see how it affects my goals. Loved working with David! He customized a workout for me so I was confident to use my gym/equipment (he sent videos with proper technique for each exercise). I learned to create a nutrition plan (program included access to customized plan based on my goals), and tracked foods with a recommended app which helped me see what worked best for weight loss and fueling my body. I jumped in with a team challenge, and I especially loved meeting other like minded people and the competitive aspect and group fitness challenges. It was especially fun winning the challenge, and doing the daily activities that helped generate the most points like 10k steps/day, doing David’s customized workouts, tracking meals/high protein etc., taking dancing/fitness classes, working out with other teammates, (we pushed each other beyond any self imposed limitations…we are better together)! 10/10 recommend doing the next challenge… it was fun, I learned a lot, and developed a whole new group of friends!

Just sayin… if you wanna join the swole patrol then this gym is your recruiting station. David has the knowledge, the equipment, and the drive to take you from a floppy noodle to an al dente destroyer of worlds. He custom tailors your program to maximize your goals (weight loss, muscle growth, body recomp, whatever).
