The course is fine, however we kept being told by someone who works there in a cart (older gentleman) to speed up even though many times we were waiting for the next group at the next hole. Additionally, when we were about to tee off from the white, that same guy told us to go from the blue...we play from the white everywhere. We were having a conversation amongst us when he butted in.
If you want to be micromanaged, then come here otherwise pruneridge, the san jose muni, or anywhere else is your better bet.
We've never had this experience at any golf courses or country clubs we play at. The most unprofessional course my group and I have been to in the bay.
Oh we finished 9 holes in less then 80 minutes.
We played on sept 7th 2025.

We came as a Group of four we had appointments they charge us $69 per person. We waited because there was nothing open to play. We waited over two hours and nothing when we asked for our money back so we can go to a different golf course they refuse to give us our money back. This place is very unprofessional. People are rude and how on earth they do not know how to give a refund theyโre telling us all of us that they cannot give us a refund because they do not know how to give a refund so basically we all lost $69 and we didnโt even get to play very unacceptable for this place. I have never had this problem with any other place except here. Will be calling my credit card company and hopefully I get a refund through them. If not, I will be calling the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint with them. The people that work there need more experience I need to go to a workshop on how to handle customers. They are one of the rudest, especially John. Itโs amazing how they are able to stay there and work when they have zero customer service they donโt even know how to treat the person the right way and itโs funny how your business runs on people like me coming to your place but yet you choose to treat us like trash and Ruby, be rude on top of all that.

terrible service, extremely rude cashiers and marshall, had a great round of golf but they ruined our mood. someone in our group got hit by a ball and the golfer didnโt tell 4. extremely muddy and wet course. nobody was friendly at all. would definitely NOT recommend this course and hope the owners get new employees and learn some better etiquette.

An oversized 9 hole, pro shop is stuffy and course marshall telling our 3some to hurry up when behind 2 4somes of 80+year olds... Starter is usually pleasant but was absolutely rude today, rushed us into our tee time 10+ minutes early and addressed us in our back swings. Sandy teeboxes if they're open. Had a few decent rounds here but progressive less enjoyable due to grounds and staff.

The course was okay, but the starter guy was rude. He asked us to turn off my music on my speaker because he said there was no music allowed on the course. Is this even a real rule?

Quaint, charming course. However, over-priced for the quality of the green and the $22/person cart fee is outrageous. There are better courses nearby for the same price, if not less.

Pretty little course tucked away behind de anza college. Greens were very good but the pace of play was appalling!
Paid a nine hole rate but had to walk off after 6. Probably would have taken 5 hours to play 18 holes on a short par 60 course.

Painfully slow pace of play. They really need a ranger. Itโs unplayable so slow. Nice trees tho. Most holes are in the 100-125 yard range from the back tees.

This course is essentially a par-3 layout, yet the fees are just as high as a full-length course, which doesnโt feel justified. While the course is challenging, the experience was brought down by poor fairway conditions, maintenance work on several tee boxes, and slow play throughout the round. Itโs frustrating to pay a premium only to deal with delays and subpar conditions. Definitely not the best value for the money.

I wish there was a 4.5 star rating. For an executive course, the course, is pretty amazing. The greens are nice and fast. The fairways are good if you happen to land on them. ๐ซฃ. The restrooms were clean. It's is a well kept course. AWESOME selection of beer, draft and cans.
The only downfall was the staff. They seem pretty serious and not customer friendly. Good customer service would be nice on a golf course.

Thereโs bad customer service, and then thereโs John who manages the clubhouse. Youโd think theyโd make up for their overpriced green fees and terrible tee boxes by providing great service to their guests, but it looks like their horrible golf course and service compliment each other. If you have an ounce of common sense, save your money and stay away from this place.

I'll give it the scenery, but overall experience is very poor. Currently on hole 5 and there are 5 groups in line. Couldn't be mismanaged any worse. Price is double, maybe triple what it should be. Google's 4 star rating is extremely misleading.

Itโs basically a par-3 course, but the fees were as high as those of regular courses. All the teeing grounds were mats, and the fairway condition was terrible. The marshal was extremely rude. It was the worst golf course Iโve ever played. If I could give it a lower rating, I would.

First time to this course this morning. We played a 18 hole course. This course is absolutely beautiful as it is like playing deep in a redwood forest. Very serene and peaceful. Staff was very nice and helpful when getting around. The course is very well kept. Hell I even been to courses that cost over $100 a game and Deep Cliff is much nicer. Guess how much it cost...$65 dollars for 2 people and that is with a golf cart!! This is on a Monday 8am price range. Heck yeah what a hell of a deal this place is. I for sure will be coming back and telling people about this beautiful course.

Didn't pay attention to the details when I booked it online, so was surprised to find out that Deep Cliff is a walk-only course (well, saw some people drove carts, but you wouldn't appreciate the beauty of this course that much if you don't walk.
Meanwhile, though it's mostly Par 3, but the course design is lovely blended with some variations of each hole, especially the way they take advantage of the trees, just so beautiful.
Will definitely love to be back again!!!

Short golf course, blue tees 3,305 yards.
Par 60, 12 par 3s, 6 par 4s.
Flat course, bit of water, lot of trees along the fairways, often leaving only some narrow openings.
Course in a green, slightly hilly area. In the Cupertino foothills.
Some fairways have houses along the trail.
Busy course, very slow play, many seniors on the course throughout the week. Even on a Thursday you might have to wait more or less on every hole.
Fairways not in good shape, wet and muddy.
No ball washers on the course.
The pro shop doubles as food and drinks outlet.
Ok course if you want to practice your short game.

Really disappointed in the new Saturday staff at Deep Cliff
We called ahead, and arrived 30 mins before our tee time. My wife is recovering from knee and hip surgery, so playing without a cart is not an option. we informed staff of this, but they had no carts. Not really unusual, but they would not rent a cart until one came in.
We were sitting on the porch, waiting for one to come in, but must have missed one, because a cart came headed down the path to the first tee.
so being there, waiting, didnโt help, even though we were there first.
I guess we will wait inside next time, in their face. if we hadnโt just renewed our membership, I donโt think I would return.

Use to play here often, it's beautiful scenery. The Marshal was useless, my 3-some started @1:48pm with a 1:35pm tee time, we finished at 6:16pm. They should have been aware of the back up, it's cause and removed the 4-some the was 4 holes behind on hole 14. While the 4-some was inconsiderate, if not just plain ignorant of etiquette in any form, the Golf course should have removed them.

Very unpleasant experience playing at this course for the following reason:
1. The course is poorly maintained. Divot everywhere, all the Tee box are not playable, Greens are super slow and uneven.
2. The customer service is horrible. The ranger staff literally rushing us every 2 Tee.
3. Tee time management has serious problems.
4. Definitely not friendly for first time golfers playing on a course.
In summary, it basically ruined our day.

Beautiful course in a beautiful location! Really enjoy playing there. Shorter 18 than most, with a total par of 60. Been playing here since 1972 and it's changed over the years as one might expect.....but the course is still a fun challenge. I play in a league here once a week at 5 pm and my only knock is that they shut down before we even finish. 7 pm middle of summer and you cannot get a beer or even any grinds to eat.....not the way to keep players coming back. One of my favorite courses in the bay area. It's a 60 par coarse but it's definitly challenging. The greens are fast and the course is always in great condition. Plenty of wildlife all around. This review pertains to the junior golf class and instructor Abraham Roof only. My son, a 7-year old, was the youngest of 4 students who had just completed a 4-week beginner course at this golf club under the instruction of Mr. Roof. Over the 4-week course, we found Instructor Roof to be unprofessional, condescending, rude and impatient. For example, in most of the lessons, he spent over half of the time talking on his walkie talkies with other people during the class. He was ill prepared for the classes bringing inadequate supply of golf clubs for the kids - the beginner class was supposed to provide the golf equipment and yet the kids often had to share a putter or driver. The worst thing about this instructor was that he was rude and condescending. When my son missed a hit, he made a comment like "let's celebrate someone's bad luck". What kind of comment was this to give to a young kid who was just beginning to learn golf? And his instructions were often unclear. In one instance, he asked the kids to take turns to hit the balls without telling them to pick up the balls after the hit. 3 out of 4 students did not pick up their balls afterward, but he singled out my son for forgetting to pick up the ball. Well, if you did not clearly tell the students to pick up the balls in the first place, how could you expect them to pick them up?? He accused my son of not following his instructions in front of everyone else. He was also exceedingly impatient and skipped my son for several turns in the golf class when all the other students took their turns. But for his favorite student, a girl in the class, he would give her extra hits, speaking of favoritism and unfair treatment!
Mr. Roof may be a good golf player himself, but he is definitely not a good teacher, at least not for young kids - very discouraging, condescending and unprofessional!
My son and I went into this golf class with a lot of enthusiasm - we even thought about taking the spring family golf lesson together and maybe private classes or even join as a member of the club. But after this devastating and distasteful experience, we won't even consider taking anything further from this club!
A total disappointment to say the very least! If you want an instructor for your kids, please stay away from Mr. Roof - total nightmare!

If I could rate lower I would. The course is invested with wasps, nats, flies, and bees. And the 'maintenance' is the worst ive ever seen. All the tee boxes are not playable and your forced to play off mats that if you dont own a special tee for then your screwed, and the fairways are covered in dirt pellets that the blow off the middle of the fairway and leave massive piles on the rest of the fairway.

Fun little course to play. Mature trees provided plenty of shade, deer freely roamed the fairways, ripe blackberry bushes created a delicious diversion while waiting on each hole, and a pleasant creek passes through the middle of the course. There were MANY youth golfers so play was slow on a Saturday afternoon. I felt it was expensive with a riding cart ($68 for two of us - twilight rate) but it's really a course you should walk. Narrow fairways and sharp doglegs presented target golf challenges. Tee boxes were in fair to poor condition, snack bar phone on #9 was out of order, the one water cooler I saw was empty, three ball cleaners were broken, traps were not raked during play... but the greens were in decent shape (albeit small with little slope). A number of holes had ground under repair. I'll probably play here again just because of the atmosphere and the fact it's short, flat and relatively easy.
