This is by far one of the most unorganized sports complexes i've ever been to. Tina and her staff allow there children to run games and it's conflicting with the parents. I had her "son/staff" try to fight me with my baby in my hand for confronting him about the unprofessionalism . He got extremely offended and tried starting a physical confrontation that leading into his mother and staff

her "staff/son" when all that was said was the job wasn't being done, right This can be validated by numerous parents who have had issues with the unprofessionalism Before. They don't get enough practice, let alone enough playing time. 2 hours a week is really a waste of money going into somewhere that has know professionalism, when the owner is not there..there has been many instances where Tina has been disrespectful to other parents speaking up about what is going on. She gets really aggressive and intimidates Other adults at the complex that leading them to cancel their membership for their children there. There is many parents who could vouch for this. It's a money pit that you do not want to get into especially the unprofessionalism and the lack of knowledge this place has.henry is the only one capable of running that place and has most knowledge other than that Do not waste your time going here. There's not enough seating,
In the winter it's freezing in the building because they don't want to pay the PG&E bill , there's kids unattended by their parents running around everywhere, throwing footballs, kicking soccer balls and causing chaos That is unattended by the staff. They are literally just trying to pay the bills with the memberships. this place really needs someone to come and turn this place around, because they're just losing memberships every day. Having her kids run, the game's has become conflicting to where, she canceled our membership for our daughter 😂🤦‍♂️ ..well off with everyone else who has quit this place.Good luck👌

GSA is a great place to play pickleball indoors. There is some issues with the lighting, covered skylights and one over head light that works as a strobe light. Also the condition of the nets is pretty bad. I love the Wednesday drills and the Ladder league on the first Monday of the Month.

I wish they would be back tournaments. Over all it's nice to have a place to play when it's raining and when it's just too hot outside..

I have been playing Pickleball At GSA, Bakersfield’s Dignity Health Sports Complex, for over a year. The facility staff are always friendly, the courts are clean, and it’s one of the best places in Bakersfield to walk in on your own and pick up a friendly game of Pickleball. The facility offers varying open play hours on different days so that the differing schedules of players can be accommodated. They host ladder leagues and other events, and offer memberships, or one can pay $8 at the door for three hours of play. I’m grateful to have a place that provides an opportunity for so many different sports activities in Bakersfield!

GSA pickleball is a great alternative to outdoors when it's raining. The people are wondeful and super kind. The price isn't too bad for 3 hours of play. I've also done a few tournaments there and Rusty, Maddie, and Jeff always run an efficient and fun tournament. The floors and lighting are not the most ideal, but it's still doable for wood courts. Thanks GSA for providing a great indoor facility for pickleball in Bakersfield! The pickleball community appreciates you!

I play at GSA 3 times a week. I just played in my first ladder league and it was so much fun and very well organized. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming even when I was new to the facility. I absolutely look forward to going every week and I have met some amazing people.

GSA is a great place to play pickleball. I especially like the drills on Wednesday from 12:30-2:30.
You get helpful feedback on your foot work, ball placement and form. If you like to hit a lot of balls and want to receive great coaching then I highly recommend these drills. Tournaments are a lot of fun too with friendly-welcoming players and competent score keeping. The Pickleball program at GSA is still flourishing and I encourage any pickleball player at any level to come and participate in the Wednesday drills and tournaments!

GSA is such a gift to Bakersfield and surrounding communities. I’ve been going there for some time now to play Pickleball, all well organized, and run by the great staff at GSA. It’s the biggest indoor Pickleball complex in Kern County and it’s so nice to have a place to play that’s warm, welcoming and highly competitive. I first went to GSA to participate in a tournament run by Maddie Jayne. Had such a blast! her tournaments are well run, exciting and encompasses all levels of play. I have since signed up for Maddie’s latter leagues at GSA and love the friendly environment and new people I get to meet at each event, making lifelong friends. Maddie and her husband, Jeff are the only certified coaches in Kern County and they know their stuff. If you get a chance to do Maddie‘s drills, those are the best and that’s the most effectiveway to level up your game.

This last seasons travel team has been traumatic for my daughter as she now has a low self esteem , confidence, and love for volleyball as it has been taken away from the lazy coaches. Coaches have favoritism and the girls were rude, obnoxious, and with not good attitude towards my daughter and coaches. we were loyal people as we were some of the first to join this program when first just starting out. After thier fame and popularity. The program has gotten completely lazy with horrible coaches and KIDS as refs. I have seen multiple children not play in games because there were no substitutions within the players making my daughter overthink. I do NOT recommend this program unless you wanna waste your money with the horrible pricing you have to pay every month and every week just to see your children play for 5 minutes. I am not angry, but disappointed.

My daughter has played a couple seasons with GSA and she has loved it. But I want to give a shout out to her coach this season. Leo is awesome. He lifts the players up and has a positive attitude. He interacts with them and is so full of encouragement! I wish we can get him as our coach every season. He makes the practice fun for the kids, and you can tell a difference in how they perform and interact with each other. They show team work and enjoy playing the game. A coach can have big impact on a player! So Thank you Leo! Keep up the good work!

My child loves GSA, he looks forward to going every Monday for skills, and Thursday for his practice. The coaching staff is friendly and works well with any child that maybe struggling. You can tell the children are happy to be there. I really appreciate how the games are ran for the leagues on Saturday's. The facility appears well kept, and smells clean on the days we are there.

Great venue for sporting event. Free parking (and plenty of it), reasonable admission rates (take cash, cards, and looked like Cash App option also). Came here for a volleyball tournament on a Sunday. Seating is limited so bring chairs as backup. Clean facility with food/snack bar and had a vendor for shopping apparel/accessories, plenty of nearby places to eat too if prefer to go outside the venue. Facility is right off the freeway, so very easy to find. Bathrooms had some non-working sinks & paper towel sensors but all in all was okay. Held 5 volleyball courts, easy to find with digital scoreboards.

These folks have a nice concept but execution is bad. They have decent skill building, but rescheduled practices, facility issues, late starts, no refs, mix matched uniforms, and jacked up rates; will force us to move on. Look for another program unless you would like habitual miscues with bad excuses.

Very nice complex. Was very clean. I love the set up of glass windows to observe the games especially during COVID-19 pandemic. The Cafe was clean & the food was delicious. We tried to menu items. They were generously affordable portions.

As a resident referee for GSA I can say that it's a great place to bring your teams for some good basketball. Has a snack bar just in case you get hungry or get a bit parched. It is a muti-court facility with plenty of room for teams and spectators. They enforce all COVID-19 police and all personnel including referees, wear masks and take temperature checks and also limits the amount of people in the building at a time. An overall great place to be.
