Our main focus is making sure all of our regulars see results safely through corrective strength, performance and endurance based training our well proven system. My home! Highly recommend coming here. The vibes are high and the music is on point! Every trainer is helpful and very knowledgeable. I joined this gym about six months ago, and it's hands down one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and wellness. The instructors,, shout out to Chris, Joey and Mary, are knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely care about your progress. Every class feels personal, and the energy they bring makes it easy to show up.

If you're looking to shred FAST and with fun this is the spot in Costa Mesa! If you ever have the chance of meeting the owner Chris he is the best trainer you'll ever meet. He's honest, genuine and will not let you sacrifice your goals. he'll get you to your body goals with ease. He's so caring and you can tell her cares so much about the gym members and his gyms reputation. The gym has a variety of like F45 and rumble boxing. I love going to their boxing classes. I even asked them if they can add more classes because I'm obsessed!

This place is a game changer!! I've been coming here for exactly ONE month today and I already casually broke all my PRs this weekend. When I first signed up for Chris' True Strength class (after the BoxHaus merge) I thought "yeah, I've been to HIIT studios before, I'll check it out" but let me tell you, this place is WIIIILD. You can tell they put a tooon of effort into planning the classes because the variety in exercises is amazing and I've never felt such a quick and massive improvement in my strength, balance, mood and honestly overall vibe before. Everyone is sooo nice and welcoming, no judgment or intimidation as a first timer. The place is super cute too, there's little details like messages in the mirrors, lockers, etc. to hype you up! And they have a bunch of class options outside of HIIT which is pretty cool. After that first class a month ago, I knew I found my new home at Double Ops!!!!

I tried out Double Ops on ClassPass thru a recommendation from a friend. I was a regular at the 12 and Moxie. After 3-4 workouts @ Doubleops I was hooked. After 2 months I noticed significant improvement to my body fat percentage and was never sore after 18-36 holes of golf.
Also, the Normatech, Cold Plunge and Red Light Infrared Sauna are included in the full access packages. Must try if you are on ClassPass or looking for something different to challenge your body.

I struggle to find group fitness classes that I have fun doing but also feel like I got a really good workout! A friend introduced me to double ops and I immediately became obsessed! The classes are fun, upbeat, but also really challenging. I find myself constantly being pushed. I couldn’t recommend this gym more to anyone thinking about joining!!!

Double Ops is a diamond in the rough in the Costa Mesa/ Newport area for a gym. I have tried most of the different gyms and I think Ops balance of HIIT and weight training is the perfect fit. I personally have had my sciatica (lower back issues) from either over lifting, moving too fast between exercises, or just plain having bad form and not knowing. Ops trainers are present and always watching to make sure you avoid injuries while pushing you when you need it. I have noticed my body transformation becoming what I want it to be very quickly though using Ops 3-4 times per week.

Love that they offer a 5 am on weekdays and 7 am on Saturday. As a busy mom with four young kids, these early morning options really help me carve out the time I need to focus on my health and fitness before the busy day that lie ahead. The staff is awesome and really knowledgeable. I have never felt better and am in the best shape of my life.

Great facilities and diverse, targeted workouts! I have tried many different classes throughout OC but not one has gotten me near the results that Double OPs has. The sense of community is truly remarkable, everybody is very supportive. The gym has awesome work outs, killer instructors and great fitness tracking. Recovery is the absolute most under utilized part of a great fitness routine and these folks take it seriously with cold plunges and the machines that wrap fully around your legs. Classes are structured so you will gain total fitness and be able to work out everyday. I bring friends any chance I get and they’re consistently blown away.

I love that Double Ops has high intensity workouts but also corrective movements and strength training with just the right amount of cardio! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new fitness routine, the classes are always SO fun and the trainers motivate you to do your best! I also appreciate that they are a recovery studio that includes infrared sauna, Normatech, and the new Edge ice bath. As a Health Coach, I believe the way you rest and recover to be as important as maintaining a consistent fitness routine.

Joined Double Ops about 4 months ago after only running for the last decade. My wife was looking for a new gym and found DOPs through class pass. After trying out basically every gym in Newport Mesa, she fell in love with DOPs. She convinced me to take Chris up on the trial he offered me to change things up.
The 6 months prior to joining the gym - I was intermittently running, had several injuries (calves and ankles), and suffered through Covid twice. I was struggling to consistently run, gaining weight and feeling terrible overall. My body no longer felt like it was recovering leaving me feeling exhausted and out of shape.
Over the last four months, I’ve become addicted to the workouts - I go 5 days a week. 3 key things happened as my body physically transformed - I’ve become functionally strong, my posture has improved, and my body is recovering (go take a tour - the recovery equipment has been key to this). I thought I would return to running after doing this for a while, but can’t imagine leaving the gym.
Chris, Travis, Nico, and the rest of the coaches care about you (they actually know your name), your goals, and your form. They truly want you to be successful within the program and motivate you each workout to do better. They are not your typical trainers - they understand how the body was designed to move and make sure that translates to your workouts.
Lastly, the gym is heavily built around community. I go to the 9 AMs and see the same regulars repeatedly. It speaks volumes to the type of gym that DOPs is. In addition to that, Chris hosts local vendors and setups up happy hours to build community amongst the members.
Needless to say, I’m invested in the DOPs program and highly recommend it to everyone.

I found Double Ops on a complete whim. I wasn't at all thinking of joining a gym or studio because I'm currently unemployed after a mass layoff. I emailed Chris because I saw something on IG about their 8 week challenge for new members. He offered to let me try a class for free to check out the studio and once I took my first class I was hooked. Not only was Chris so awesome for being understanding of my situation and wanting to find a way to help me out, but you can just tell by how he and all the other instructors interact with the members that they genuinely care about the individual and their progress. He did a thorough consultation with me to discuss my background and goals, which really built a lot of trust. This isn't just a run-of-the-mill gym/fitness studio - there is something for everyone here. I'm semi new to strength training, but Double Ops is an inclusive environment so I feel like I fit in. As in - you could be a total beginner and you would still feel welcomed and not like you're being left behind and then on the other end, you could already be a beast and absolutely be pushed to new levels. There's so many ways to modify or add on to the intensity and the instructors are great at helping you gauge where you need to focus. I'm only on my second week of classes, but every single class I've taken so far has been a fun, dynamic, TOUGH challenge that has pushed me in really incredible ways. Everything is great. The music is amazing. The circuits are creative and difficult and the teachers give all the guidance and coaching you could ever want. I'm really grateful I've found this spot and I know that I'll become a full time member as soon as I'm in a better financial situation. Highly highly recommend Double Ops if you're either bored with your current routine, looking for something to supplement your existing routine, feeling stuck or stagnant or just looking to be pushed out of your comfort zone.

I stumbled across Double Ops because of ClassPass as I get bored of gyms very easily and liked my variety of workouts (hiit, spin, pilates, yoga). I started noticing I was plateauing so I gave this place a try since it was something different. On my first visit with Kaylin, she was very helpful in correcting my form and the music choice was pretty awesome! Overall my first visit was pleasant. Once I came back for more, I got to meet the other trainers like Chris and Travis. They immediately remembered my name especially after one visit!
This set them apart from all the other facilities I go to because sometimes it feels like some gyms are trying to meet quota or get a sale out of you after your first visit. Instead, these trainers take the time to get to know you and on top of that, their workouts are always different. I'd never expect to use some of the equipment in the way they had planned for the workout
Overall I'm seeing amazing progress and I'd never thought I'd like waking up for 6AM classes!

If you are looking for a way to incorporate weights into your exercise routine without the intimidation then double ops is the place for you! After 6 months of membership I feel noticeably stronger. The best gym in Orange County! The trainers are amazing and very knowledgeable. The workouts are unique and different every single day with multiple opportunities with variations and alternatives to the exercise. The recovery equipment is like no other! I don't know any other gym in OC that offers Normatec, Ice baths, Cryotherapy, and an infrared sauna. Truly have made genuine connections and friendships with people at the studio and I am happy to have been at the gym for over a year now!

I have been doing sports my whole life. Team sports, swimming, karate, yoga, gym, F45 - you name it. I finally found my place at Double Ops. It's a perfectly crafted HIIT workout. It's only been 2 months but there's been a noticeable change within a month; no two workouts are the same so it's always interesting; good community; really awesome music; clean, almost-new equipment. I really wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a new fitness routine that can stick.

Can’t say enough good things about Double Ops. The facility is top notch along with the trainers and overall atmosphere. The classes are designed for all skill levels and they really care truly care.
Being an athlete most of my life I can say this is probably the best studio in the Costa Mesa area. The classes can really push you to your limits especially with the knowledgeable trainers to help guide you along the way.
To top it off they has a full recovery lounge with Normatex, infrared sauna, cryo and more. The place is incredible. It has all you need and more and you don’t have to worry about the terrible gym crowds and all the annoyances that come with it. Double Ops is the best and only getting better!

I love this gym (attached is a photo of my brother and I during a workout). It's the most effective workout I've ever had while still ensuring proper form and functional movements and getting stronger. It's not a place trying to make you bulky (unless that's really a goal of yours) which is great as a female. Just lean, strong, and confident.
I'm 14 months postpartum, and I joined 8 weeks ago with a lot of fat to lose. I've gotten stronger, leaner, and I have a lot more energy for my family and job. Every class is a challenge but I actually look forward to it - the coaches know your name, they check on your form, and everyone has fun with the music. I've tried a lot of gyms in the last decade, but this is the strongest and best I've felt in years (and that's after only a few months of working out following a year with a baby and eating poorly).
The coaches actually take the time to show you what, how and why. The other members are actually nice and encourage each other. It's a place where you'll get pushed to do your best but not pushed overboard to injure yourself. Can't speak highly enough about their program design and the people Chris hire.
Also they have this targeted cryo machine I use for 5-10 min after classes for my wrist (yay desk job) and it does miracles.

I’m 44 and was an elite athlete and have been training all my life. Double Ops is the perfect balance based on strength training. It’s extremely well thought out and put together. Which makes sense why all regulars see such impressive results across the board. Because the program serves regular people and ex athletes alike it’s also a pretty fun environment. The recovery part of the business is the best part. I use the Spot Cryo for my knee and the Normatec after tough leg days regularly. This is the only place you’d catch a guy like me taking classes. If you have something important to train for these guys don’t let you down.

Alright people… this place is WORTH THE HYPE! This review is especially for all you ladies who are afraid of weights and getting bulky. I was a CorePower junkie before this and love the sweat I got from the heated room BUT I always felt drained after and my body was never as sculpted as I wanted it to be. I started coming to Double Ops Newport-Mesa about a year ago and I am SO glad I’ve converted to lifting weights and looking my BEST EVER. I’ve dropped the pounds I wanted and finally am at my goal weight but even more… I feel freaking FANTASTIC. I feel so energized and am so stoked to hit my DOPs classes each week. It’s also so so much fun and even though it’s always a challenging and burning workout… the community/teachers make it so enjoyable. I’ll never go back to my “yoga only” workout routine. Do yourself a favor and check out DOPs… you WILL NOT regret it 😊

I started working out at Double Ops in Santa Monica in 2019. My girlfriend and I are in OC for a week and decided to visit the Costa Mesa location. We took Chris’ Silverbacks class today. I got worked! Thanks for a great workout Chris. We will be back every time we come to SoCal

Double Ops is a game changer with respect to getting in top shape, cultivating athleticism and enhancing fitness performance. Since working out at Double Ops, I have never felt better.
The functional training movements are safe, effective and encompass a comprehensive full body workout. Chris and the trainers teach proper mechanics, safe movements and correct technique. Again the workouts are safe and I feel confident while engaging in each training circuit.
The training foundation is in cardio but varies each day regarding a focus on strength, performance or endurance. The classes are fun- high energy, good music and a welcoming atmosphere. I consistently have a positive experience at each class and personal training session.
I’m committed to Double Ops because I have never experienced such excellent results!

Double Ops is new to the area and I’m so glad I found it! I have seen results in just two weeks compared to working out at other studios for over a year. This is my new fitness gym and I am so excited about it. Chris is the best too! He is so helpful and wants you to achieve the best results with his workouts. Definitely recommend this studio if you want to be in the best shape!
