I’ve been coming to Dual Core for about 6 months and have generally really liked my experiences there. Today, however, I arrived at 4:34 for a 4:30 class and was told I could not come in. I saw inside the studio, and there were only 3 or 4 people present (there are ~10 reformers). For context, I’m a high school teacher and had gotten held up helping a student after class, and then got stuck in traffic on my way to class. Because I was 4 minutes late, I was charged a late fee in addition to having paid for the class I couldn’t go to, which I really could’ve used. In other words: if you’re a working person who goes to exercise classes to help with your physical and mental health and sometimes runs late and also doesn’t have a lot of extra $ to spare, I wouldn’t go to this studio.

Additionally: does anyone know if the studio makes any $ off of marking you as missed on ClassPass? Wondering because no other studio has ever done this to me when I’ve on occasion missed a class….

I am currently doing my bridge/ teacher training at DualCore and it has truly been the best! Tara and Rian have been so beyond helpful! We go through dynamic and functional exercises that involve weights which is so useful in Pilates and my every day life. We have also touched base on the stretching and release portion of Pilates, especially with the foam roller and the tension release ball. In the training, we really go into depth about how crucial correct form and cues can be so important for clients and overall instructing. I recently just learned about jump board classes, and I’m so beyond excited to learn how to teach them! Overall, the DualCore community is truly so amazing and so supportive. The DC team truly cares about their clients and instructors. The studio vibe is so empowering! Tara and Rian are truly the best mentors a girl could ask for 🩵

As a certified Pilates instructor, I completed HIIT bridge training at DualCore Fitness, and it was exactly what I needed to grow as a fitness professional. Tara and Rian provided hands-on instruction focused on proper form, knee alignment, squat assessments, and injury prevention.

I’ve being going to DualCore for over a year now and it’s the best structure. Switching between the reformer and free weights means the sessions are extra catered to your individual strengths and weaknesses. Tara will also suggest workouts for weeks Im out of town and gives me advice on my own workout regime. Highly recommend!

Edit added May 2025: still love this studio after years of attending classes. When I got pregnant I started seeing Mollie for privates all the way until my 37th week. She set me up to feel comfortable in group classes with modifications that were challenging but pregnancy-safe. Totally recommend if you’re pregnant but want to keep healthy - see Mollie!

Was having back pain and joint issues and my chiro told me what I needed to do was "pilates with reformer". I had no idea what that meant. Then just a few weeks later, DualCore opened up right in my neighborhood. I took a class, and was hooked! I started going once a week, then a couple times a week, then went unlimited, and now go around five times a week. I no longer have back pain. EVER. I had back pain my WHOLE LIFE, and DualCore cured me, so I will keep going.

Studio is clean and cute, and the instructors are great. My Monday mornings with Molly are magic, and set a wonderful tone for my whole week. Rian's playlists are perfection and her jokes lessen the pain of pilates. Jenn constantly challenges with the Tuesday "teasing" me into (almost) a teaser. Austin is outstanding and Ella will make sure you breathe. Tara is the boss lady and she will challenge you all the way, and Zariah will pack in more than you can imagine in one session. The front desk staff is wonderful and friendly, and they always brighten my day.

Love DualCore fitness! The physical space is very clean, spacious, and the reformers are great. There is a wide variety of class times offered, so it’s always easy to find a class that works for my schedule. I am unhinged for DualCore. This is hands down the best Pilates studio in LA — and I’ve tried them all. The class variety is next-level: reformer, cardio, weights, stretch, body-part burnouts, even sound baths (yes, please). It’s like a fitness buffet where every dish goes hard.

What really sets this place apart - It’s not just a workout — it’s a whole vibe. The early morning classes are a game-changer for my routine, and the instructors are total gems. They actually care about your progress and somehow make you feel like the main character in every session. Inclusive, welcoming, and full of good energy.

Tara, the owner, is a certified badass. If you ever get the chance to take her class, cancel your plans — it’ll wreck you in the best way. And huge love to Rian, my go-to instructor, who deserves full credit for whipping me into shape (with a smile, no less).

Bonus points for the playlists that make you feel like you’re starring in a workout montage. Oh, and FYI — Jenn, one of the instructors, created a grip sock line and I swear they’re the Beyoncé of grip socks. Never going back.

I just took a Pilates class at Dualcore Fitness, and it was fantastic! The session was both challenging and energizing, with a perfect balance of strength, flexibility, and core engagement. This Pilates studio is absolutely the best! All the instructors, including the lovely ladies that greet you, are fantastic. They have classes for beginners to explain the basics of Pilates and advanced classes. I have a membership and it literally pays for itself. I can’t get enough. I love, love, love this studio. I started Pilates due to a hip injury and asymmetries in the strength of my legs, hips, and core. I have been attending classes at DualCore for a little over a year and the transformation in my strength and balance has allowed me to re-engage in running. Attention to form is strong in all of the classes. They support you to start where you are and build up. AND, the instructors are fun, creative, and encouraging. Dual core was my first experience doing reformer Pilates. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful which was exactly what I needed as I felt a bit intimidated as a newbie before going in. Everyone made me feel very welcome and helped me learn the reformer at my own pace. Needless to say I’ve been hooked for the last 5-6 months since I first took a class. I also appreciate that they change up the classes so some are traditional reformer and the dual core is half interval training and half reformer- the jump board class is also a fun try as well if you’re looking to mix things up!

Such an amazing studio with great instructors. The types of exercise the classes focus on is beyond physical fitness. It’s also about your stability, longevity and functionality. The class size is small enough that you feel taken care of by the instructors and feel like they know all of you personally.
But the very best part is that they pay attention - what classes you want more of, what areas of the body you want to focus on, they care about their members! I’ve joined Pilates studios before only to realize I can’t take any of the classes because they are always full with too many members and not enough classes but here I feel like I’m part of a community that cares about my health. :)

I'm very shy, and I was nervous about going to classes at first. I'm glad I finally signed up. The size of the classes is perfect. The instructors can easily see you and guide you if needed. They are also very kind, and they always hype me up and make me want to keep going in my exercise journey. Also, it is always very clean, the machines are in great condition, and the supplemental equipment (like weights) elevate the workouts.

Almost a year ago, my wife suggested that I join her in a pilates class at Dual Core Fitness. On a whim, I did, and much to my shock, it was so challenging that I couldn't even make it through my first class! Right then and there, I realized that I had to get serious about my fitness. From that day forward, Dual Core has made pilates part of my routine. I'm in the best shape of my life and I've never felt as motivated in a workout. It is as fun as it is challenging, and Tara and her team at Dual Core are always welcoming and full of positive energy.

Was excited to try a new studio, travelled across town for class. En route, the freeway was shut to move a large piece of debris, so I attempted to call the studio to let them know my eta would now be 2 min past class time, no one answered the phone and I arrived anyway to find the front desk girl leaving…she would not allow me entry into the studio due to their “rigid” late policy. I explained the situation and she didn’t seem to care about the effort made to get to their studio or the attempt to call ahead of time that went ignored.

Took a $17 late cancellation fee and my credits on Class Pass 👍🏽

As a group class instructor myself, I understand the hassle of disrupting a class, but 2 min in, you’re still setting up machines for ppl…

Unfortunately, the rigidity is a bit much for me in a city like Los Angeles, I’d love to think my studio is consumer friendly, won’t be back.

Tara, of DualCore, has a great knowledge of how to get the most out of you during your workout, despite any injuries or other limitations. Had a knee surgery in the past—she knows how to modify workouts both to avoid overworking that knee and to lengthen and strengthen areas commonly affected by knee surgery (tight calves, inflexible hip, etc.). Her workouts feel like a butt kicker when you’re in it, and when you’re done you just feel accomplished and fit and can’t wait to do that next one.
