I love the classes here but unfortunately will not return due to unjust policies of the studio. I had to cancel a class tonight, so not only did I still pay for the class due to it being a day of cancellation, but they charged me an additional $10 dollars. There was a waitlist so my spot was filled, but I still paid for that class with no refund so I really disagree on a additional punitive fee since the studio not only got my money for my spot, but was instantly able to fill it. Further, I wasn’t even notified that I would be charged extra in addition forfeiting my class fee. Due to this policy, I will not return here or recommend this studio to anyone I know.

I've been practicing acrobatics with them, it is great and highly recommended for beginners or if you want to polish your basics, the instructors are so nice!!! and what is even greater, it's their low cost, haven't found any other classes at better rate

The whole process begins with love for the studio. The place is spotless. The teacher gives this feeling of "this is my sanctuary". She treats her equipment like musical instruments. That then extends to her work. The teacher's attention to my daughter's form, her posture, her breathing, the position of her hands and feet, all gave the impression of a master artist in their home art studio trying to craft something perfect. The teacher was graceful, had sharp eyes, and didn't miss a single detail. I've never seen my daughter concentrate this hard on anything.

The teacher was also friendly and accessible. The feedback she gave during the class felt direct, encouraging, gentle, and sincere. My daughter came out after a 1 hour class excited and said she wanted to stay longer. I've gotten so used to hearing "ughhh that took such a long timeeeee, its sooo borrringgggg, why do I have to learn balletttt" elsewhere. My daughter made so much progress in just an hour it's hard to even believe.

I paid for the 2 for $18 pole classes and I absolutely loved it!!! For someone who has never taken dance or anything in my life it was great!! The instructors are amazing and super nice. They make sure you feel welcome and accommodate to everyone. I definitely will be buying the membership!!!

Yvette was so welcoming and incredibly energetic! She made the class challenging without ever making me feel pushed past my limits. As an out-of-shape 40-something new to dancing, I find the vibe of some studios pretty intimidating. But I can absolutely see myself coming back to DMLA regularly and having a lot of fun!

I took the adult heels class here. The teacher had great energy, was so inviting and welcoming and that made the class so fun. It was also attended by a wonderfully supportive group of women. I'm bummed that I don't live in town or I would be at this class on the regular! It has inspired me to look for a similar class in my home state though.

I also had my 10 yo daughter attend a dance class and a tumbling class. The teachers were phenomenal, she learned a ton and had a great time. Obviously we loved it because we took 3 classes in 1 week!

This dance studio is so underrated!! Having two young ones infatuated with dance, we heard a lot of noise about a dance studio down the street from our house. We tried that one and a few more before making our selection, DYNAMIC MOVEMENT was the furthest one out from our house but I’m not exaggerating when I say the instructors make all the difference!!
Yvette is phenomenal with young ones! Her entire sense of being is just so fun and captivating.
The second you enter the studio theirs so much positivity, good vibes, encouragement, my kids are always excited to come hang out.
This dance studio definitely surpasses their competitors in the SCV!!!

0 stars. I had booked a pole class with a friend and they charged our accounts yet when we showed up they said that we were not in the system. Even though I had confirmation. They said we paid but never booked the class. Maybe they need a better system? Will definitely not be back or recommending it to anyone.

We have been at LYTE for 3 1/2 yrs and we love it. LYTE has been such an amazing experience for my boys. It has given my older son back his Self Esteem. Its amazing to see his smiling face everyday and how he just loves to go to LYTE with no complaints. To do what he loves...dance dance dance. Tawnya the owner/choreographer/mentor is such a light with her positive energy that she brings to these kids, makes them want to be better. I am so glad I found LYTE Dance Academy here in SCV!!

LYTE is the most amazing place to grow and meet new friends. I never thought to be a dancer till I met LYTE. I fell in love with dance. I grew to who I am today and have danced for only 3 years.
