The gym has a really positive and welcoming environment—staff and members are friendly, although the gym is small the atmosphere keeps you motivated. However, for the price of the membership, the value just doesn’t match. A few pieces of equipment have been out of order for awhile without being fixed, which is frustrating, especially during peak hours. On top of that, there’s no water fountain, which feels like a basic amenity that should be included. Overall, it’s a great place to work out if you prioritize community and vibe, but the high cost and lack of upkeep might make you think twice.

Best gym I have tried in town, the staff are very friendly, the gym is always clean, the machines are high quality and are well maintained. Most importantly people go to this gym do their workouts and are not stuck hogging a machine causing you to wait long. I enjoy the ambiance, versatility, and the aesthetic as well. 10/10 recommend!

Elev8 has been nothing but amazing ever since I joined in August of last year. They have every machine, weight, and bench you can think of, and more. The atmosphere is wonderful as well, I feel welcomed every time I walk through those doors. The art on the walls is amazing as well, it is one of my favorite details about the gym. A lot of good equipment, and double sets of dumbbells is great. Music is loud enough to penetrate noise cancelling headphones. Only downside for the $45 price point is no change room. There’s 2 restrooms (men and women) but, depending on the time of day, the restroom is filthy. Plan accordingly. So I guess it’s 2 downsides: The other one being that there is no one cleaning the facilities prior to/around midnight.

Unfortunately my experience was negative. I’m more into powerlifting squat bench and deadlift and the bars used there is for specifically olympic weight lifting “Eleiko barbell”. My squat was risky because the bars are designed to have whip so I couldn’t go past 425lbs without trouble. Same bar is used for bench which is bad there was no other options. Some machines limited on leverage.Hype is there but the insides a different experience.

This gym is a what Porterville needed. It needed a better updated locally owned gym. Not only is the gym clean and spacious, the lightning is perfect. Some great gym equipment that even top competitor bodybuilders look for in a gym. Majority of the free weights are Invako brand which is top quality and youll feel it in your hand. If you are seriously looking into getting bodybuilding, this gym will set you up for success. They have so much room for growth.

Maybe down the road they can add Prime Fitness gym equipment or New Tech.
