Really good Muay Thai gym. Multiple levels of classes with varying degrees of difficulty. Good sparring sessions, and a good community of fighters at all levels.

I’ve Tried 3 gyms in North county over the last 3 years and this one provides the best workout, technique instruction, pad work, level of sparring. I’ve improved and watched others improve drastically by coming here.

Ahmad is an excellent coach. I enrolled my kids in his training program. I believe they had a fantastic experience training with him. They now have self-confidence, are athletic, and have developed discipline. Discipline played a significant role in their development. I also joined the adult class with my kids, and it was equally amazing.

I’ve been training here a few months and am happy to have found a great gym and community. Lots of people with different goals and skill levels.

I’m not really focused on competing, but I don’t necessarily feel that the coaches neglect me or treat me differently than their competitive fighters. There isn’t a single class that I do not get personal feedback from one of the coaches, as well as from my more skilled teammates.

Everyone here is welcoming, friendly, and really helpful, which makes showing up and asking questions much more comfortable.

This month marks our 1-year anniversary since our family (adult and kids ages 6 and 3) started training with Coach Ahmad and Destry.

Three feelings stick out for me:
1. EKG is a family. The students, both adults and kids alike, are a tight knit community. They show up for each other at fights, cheering for one another on livestreams, warmly provide feedback when training, and they even play with our girls before and after class. This sense of community trickles down from the coaches, who genuinely care about how we are doing, inside, and outside the gym.
2. The instruction is world-class, literally. Ahmad and Destry have 30+ years of experience (estimating) between them - not to mention dozens of belts, and it shows. They know how to break down complex concepts and strategies for novice athletes (both adults and kids).
3. Muay Thai is for everyone and Ahmad and Destry will reinforce that daily. You absolutely don’t have to want to ‘fight.’ If you want to get stronger, learn to protect yourself, or just get some intense cardio, the classes will work for you. If you want to fight, you can do that too.

Also want to shoutout the volunteer coaches (who also train) - Marisol, Eric Maddie, Omar. You all are just as critical to our success as students. Thank you.

We’re looking forward to continuing to grow with EKG. They’re on a journey as a gym, and it’s been a lot of fun to take the ride with them. My girls (ages 6 and 3), love going daily, and they make that decision for themselves. We highly recommend you trying it out for yourselves. It’s life changing.

I really only give five stars to places that are great on every level and unforgettable. I've trained at Elite and I can say it's not only a great place to get in a workout, but it's also a place you can train competitively, and be part of a team that will push you and encourage you.
Knowing nothing about the martial arts world when I first started, I've found Elite coaches Ahmad and Destry to be absolute gems. Being their students already puts you in a legacy of great fighters, and you won't get better coaching anywhere else.
I trained for one amateur competition so far and experienced their fight camp and I not only grew in skill but I grew as a person.
Elite is very accommodating to each person's needs whether it's financial or personal so don't be afraid to speak up if you need something.
For me, Elite doesn't just feel like a boring cookie cutter gym... It feels like home.

I have been training at Elite for a few months and I can’t speak highly enough about this gym. It’s located just a minute off of the 78 freeway, near downtown Vista. They offer two Adult Muay Thai classes a day, as well as one-on-one sessions and kids classes. The coaches are super knowledgeable, they have an active fight team but also cater to plenty of people who just want to come in for a great workout.

The vibe is very friendly and fun, however you’ll know you’re at a real Muay Thai gym as the classes are designed to be both mentally and physically engaging, emphasizing on safe drilling and proper technique. I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in, and I’m honestly having such a great time reaching my goals, here. 5 stars all day!

The best Muay Thai, coaches, and gym in San Diego. I can't recommend this gym enough. It's great for all levels. I train here as a competitive fighter, as well as my 6 year old daughter and wife who are both starting from no martial arts experience.

Not just a kickboxing gym, but the real deal of full 8 limbs muay thai. The fundamentals class had me soaking in sweat and dying at the end of every class, both the coaches Ahmad and Destry know how to push you to your limit which is what you need to grow, and helps pair up those with similar experience levels to get the best training. They are also attentive to what you're doing wrong to help correct your flaws. The EKG fight team also have some beasts/killers in there and the training level is as equivalent as training in Thailand. This gym is for all experience levels: beginner to pros. Only suggestion would be to add more drills in the basic class vs just padwork as some can't make the other classes. Within the limited space, they make the most out of it, and can highly recommend!

Amazing Muay Thai Kickboxing gym. This is a great Muay Thai/kickboxing program. Although newly opened, they come with lots of experience and accolades to be rightfully called elite. I’ve trained in a few kickboxing/Muay Thai gym in the area and I can confidently say this is the best gym. As a physical therapyist, i play attention to detail in their teaching and training and they are very good with teaching, from fundamentals to competition. I also love how they have a focus or concentration on a technique for the week/month. They have level 1, level 2, and a competition team depending on ur skill level or goals. Whether you want to get fit, learn self-defense compete, the coaches are great at making your goals their goals. I currently am not training there because of my work schedule, but I can’t wait to get back. Coach Ahmad and Destry are top notch!

Took my daughter here for private lessons after transitioning from another gym that seemed to care more about image than the sport.
