Getting back in shape has always felt like a daunting challenge… but my experience at Empire Training Grounds completely changed that. From day one, the environment has been incredibly supportive. Coach Omar, a true master of Jiu-Jitsu, has an amazing way of motivating and inspiring me, even as a beginner 💪🏾. I’m just at the start of my journey, but it’s already been nothing short of incredible. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to begin this transformation.

What a blessing to find this martial arts school with a built-in gym—it’s exactly what I needed. The teachers are excellent. Omar is highly experienced and knowledgeable, helping me level up quickly, while Aram is supporting me with my scoliosis—lower back pain is something many people deal with, and he really understands how to address it.

Invest in yourself by joining Empire Training Grounds—it’s well worth the money, and they don’t charge an arm and a leg. Almost forgot to mention, my daughter is in good hands here as well. 🙏 Highly recommended

What a great hidden gem! This place is amazing. The instructors are not only friendly but also highly experienced, including world champions. The conditioning coach is fantastic as well.

I highly recommend this place—whether you have kids who want to learn Jiu-Jitsu or you're a parent looking to do conditioning while your kids train. It's a win-win!

I’ve been going to this gym for a while now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best fitness experiences I’ve had. The staff is incredibly helpful and always ready to assist with any questions or guidance. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, they make sure you're supported throughout your fitness journey.

The energy in the gym is always high, creating a motivating and positive environment to push yourself. It’s clear that the community here is focused on growth and improvement. I’ve noticed not only physical changes but also a boost in my overall confidence and energy levels. If you're looking for a gym that combines expert support with an electric atmosphere, this is definitely the place to be!

Clean facility and knowledgeable staff. They've guided me through my fitness goals, as detail as tailoring the programs based on my weaknesses, needs, or injuries. I've always felt confident and given adequate support from the training and workouts.

I am not a gym person AT ALL but because of the Empire environment, people, and most importantly the trainers (shoutout Chris), I have been dedicated to my health and wellness here for the last three years. The community at Empire is supportive and encouraging, and the trainers are knowledgeable, challenge you without being annoying, and make the gym a safe and enjoyable place. The trainers push you enough so you get out of your comfort zone but also are mindful of any difficulties or limitations we have as individuals. Our workouts are truly customized to our personal needs and I’m so grateful for this space to continue working on my health goals.

I started at Empire training grounds three years ago and from the very first time I walked into the gym. I knew that it was the right spot for me to train. The gym is such a positive environment And everyone there is very supportive and the best way possible. The strength and conditioning instructor Chris is one of the most knowledgeable and best coaches ever who Is always tailoring my workouts best for any injuries or uncomfort I’m feeling and who makes you wanna come in to work out.

I also started doing Jiu Jitsu there and while I’ve been to many jiu-jitsu schools I ultimately decided to train it, Empire because of the head coaches/owners Omar and Mustafa Sabha.

After three years at Empire training grounds, I can honestly say that this gym is my safe space, comfort zone, and somewhere that I am always happy to go to to workout or do BJJ.

Love this gym! Been working out here since they opened in 2020. They are a performance/strength and conditioning gym with Bjj and Muay Thai as well. I started off as a skinny Asian kid at 125 lbs. Now I’ve lean bulked to 160 lbs. Since it’s always been my lifetime goal to dunk, I started off with a 30 inch vertical. With the guidance and coaching of Chris, I’m now jumping with a 42 inch max vert, so I’m very very close to getting my first dunk. Everything here suits my needs perfectly. Also everyone is so friendly and supportive. I’ve made some lifetime friendships in this community.

My kids have been taking jiu-jitsu classes here for seven months, and they are so happy while learning a lot. The instructors are amazing—patient, skilled, and truly dedicated to helping each child grow in confidence and technique. The environment is welcoming and supportive, making it a great place for kids to develop discipline, strength, and teamwork. I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a high-quality martial arts program!

Empire is an amazing program for kids. My boys 8and 10 had b we was een training in Jusitsu for 4 years before w Wmpure Training Grounds -and they had reached a plateau. We started brining my boys for their children program and the class completely transformed their game. Their confidence returned, they learned tons of new technique and the coaches ( Omar and Moose) genuinely cared about them. If you are thinking about getting your kids into martial arts I HIGHLY recommend Empire

I’ve been training with Chris for almost 10 years now, and I seriously can’t say enough good things about him and the Empire fam. They’ve helped me stay in shape and build a fitness routine that actually works with my crazy, busy life. If you’re a busy mom like me (or just someone who doesn’t have time to think about gym stuff), this place is a game changer. You don’t have to worry about what to do or how to use anything—they’ve got you covered with personalized workouts that fit your goals and lifestyle. Highly recommend!

This review is for fellow parents looking to get their kids into martial arts. I have taken my son to 4 different BJJ schools over the course of a year. All of them have been good but the kids coaching team at Empire is outstanding!

The coaches:
-Minimize any fooling around.
-Give hands on detailed instructions for new techniques.
-Supervised wrestling/jiu jitsu (was very important for me to have my son be able to feel what it can be really like to have another kid go against him, all while in a well controlled environment or else how will they know what works or how to control their emotions.)
-Have great social awareness (help kids get over frustration and negative emotions).

My son started here about 6 months ago and there were some tears from the frustration of losing or being held down during wrestling. He's come a long way and it's exciting to see his focus and effort. It's thanks to a great learning environment from a solid coaching team.

Recently I texted the gym owner Omar that I was impressed by one of his staff. During class when it was my son's turn to wrestle he went against a kid that was really good. They had a hard fought round with each other and afterwards there was some light tension but the coach had them sit together and reminded them to have fun and gave them praise for their combined effort. Same day, after the end of the class dodgeball game a kid was upset and had some tears after not winning but the coach came over after all the kids were done and playfully wrestled him down while he acknowledged the kid's feeling and got a smile out of him.

I have more examples but I'll end it here. Couldn't be happier with Empire Training Grounds. They have a good mix of both boys and girls. I plan to have my daughter join soon too. All parents want resilient kids, Empire is a great place to give them that opportunity to build that into their character.

My son joined Empire Training Grounds to get strong enough to compete in wrestling at the college level. It's been the best strengthening program that he's been a part of. The trainers are very effective and motivating.

A little pricey and not clear on class times and services people are friendly honestly I think we got bamboozled and chipped I don't think it's ideal for a high school student just starting out to take like 10 classes and then charge an arm and a leg I don't think it was worth the money no individual training I think we just felt lost just wrestling around no training that's for people that I guess like that stuff or I already have my experience not for us I'm glad they're still in business they're good guys worse than the best

I really enjoyed my work out session with Omar, he was friendly and knowledgeable! I really liked the quality equipment and mats he had at his gym. During my workout he was pushing me to be stronger and keep my pace so I can attain my strength goals! I would recommend him and his gym for any training and even rehab! (coming real soon) Keep up the great work!
