Best yoga on the westside. Liz and all the teachers are warm and welcoming and the space is clean, inviting and peaceful. Classes are well attended but never crowded. I can't do crowded yoga classes and many studios for understandable reasons always try to jam pack them. Isn't that stressful for everyone? Anyway, street parking is very easy to find here and I've looked forward to all my classes.

Empowered Yoga is truly a special place. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and seen. The founders, instructors, and community offered not only guidance in the physical practice, but also genuine encouragement in my personal growth and wellness journey. It became more than just a studio—it was a sanctuary and a source of strength.

Thank you, Empowered Yoga, for creating such a powerful and heart-centered space.

Honestly, yoga has been something I’ve avoided and only forced by friends to partake in. Finding Empowered was the first time I actually started really enjoying the asana practice and found a community that didn’t feel competitive but rather collaborative and fueled by kindness. The teachers truly lead in a way that actually empowers you to discover who you are on the mat to step into your authentic self off of it. I am forever changed from the beautiful humans I’ve met here and am always eager to take my next class. I guess I’ll add yogi to my Instagram profile now 🥹🤗🙌

So happy that such a welcoming yoga studio has opened in West Adams! We are so lucky to have it in the neighborhood. I love kicking off my Saturdays knowing I'm going to get a great workout and an opportunity to reset. I've taken from many instructors, all of whom are great -- Rachel, Olivia, Jonelle, Chris, and Synthea are all stand-outs for sure. Give them a try!

Liz is the best yoga instructor! She finds the perfect balance between yoga being a body workout and a place for your mind to rest. She lets the class flow so beautifully and gives you the extra push needed to move your body in new ways. Liz is the best yoga instructor I’ve ever taken!

As someone brand new to Yoga, I wanted to ensure I found a Yoga spot that had a tight-knit community where I could feel that the teachers really knew their members on a personal level. This place is just that. Chris, Rachel & Kyle have been beyond incredible over these past couple weeks getting to know me and working with me on my individual journey. You can tell how much they care about this space and everyone who enters it from the moment you walk in it. If you are considering joining this studio - no matter what level you're at - do it. You won't look back!

I really enjoy practicing at this studio and would highly recommend it. I have only been to handful of classes so far but they seem to nicely mix a fitness and therapeutic approach throughout all offerings, with those scales shifting given the emphasis of any particular class.
I appreciate that they have a lobby separate from the practice room, creating some space the street and cubbies but also provides a really nice area to chat and build community. And as someone who doesn't live in the area but works on the westside, I love that they have a shower for when I need to make moves straight from class.

I absolutely love this studio, Chris is an AMAZING teacher. I’ve taken countless different vinyasa classes all over and there are only three teachers that stand out to me — the ones you already know if you’re a westside yogi— Vinny and Calvin. And here- Chris!!

This is the best yoga studio with the most welcoming and gifted yoga instructors. I love the variety of classes they have on their schedule, and they also offer more relaxing options such as sound baths and reiki infused yin classes. It is absolutely divine, and I could not recommend this studio more.

I love this studio so much, I've been going consistently now for the past two months and I only have good things to say about the instructors, the space, and the other yogis who attend classes. I love how small the class sizes are, I feel like I have space to move and breathe in the studio rather than being in a crowded space. The instructors always push me in the right ways and give me guidance so I can keep improving.

Love this yoga studio and their warm & kind community. All the teachers are amazing -- Rachel, Chris, Jonelle, Liz, Mel, Kiley and Elyse really hold space for a wonderful practice. They make subtle adjustments to really heighten your practice and remind you to listen to your own body's wisdom which is crucial in empowering yourself in your practice. It's been a little over 2mos since joining -- 5yrs hiatus from yoga due to an injury which was a result of poor instruction. It's been a joy to take classes here - feeling and seeing results plus there is a bonus of pups that occasionally make an appearance. Super grateful my friend, Derby, who invited me to come for my 1st 7a here. Got my butt kicked in, but it's the catalyst I needed to get moving and practicing again. Much Gratitude ~ Jane _/|\_

A truly awesome yoga experience. The instructors are knowledgeable and classes are challenging, they create a great atmosphere for yoga. The micro adjustments the teachers give has really helped my practice, it’s nice to find a studio that offers physical adjustments. Would recommend for beginners or long time yogis.

Such a great spot! A very peaceful studio with a welcoming team and incredible instructors. Great class variety from beginners to serious yogis and everything in between. Hands down the least intimidating community I've ever joined while still offering challenging classes - Chris in particular is supportive, motivating and keeps a smile on everyone's faces. Every other instructor's class I've popped into has been the same! Check it out if you're a west side local or visiting this side of LA.

I've tried a lot of yoga studios in Venice and SM area. But couldn't find the place where I can commit my time not only for yoga practice but also good community. And I found Empowered yoga a few month ago and since then I've been sticking to it. All the teachers are super knowledgeable, professional and more than amazing. All the classes are thoughtfully structured with variations. Also there are events that can open deeper understanding about yoga and other well being, meditation and spirituality. I love practicing yoga here at the end of my hectic day and it's been my oasis. Highly recommend this place to anyone who look for yoga and upgrading your calm & good vibes.

I had spent 4 days on business across the west coast and needed to find my tribe, unfold the body and feel good. And my word what a find. Amazing classes with Chris and Rachel, but an immediate community. No table for 1 dinner: I was invited to join other yogis for dinner. A spacious, proud studio, a positive vibe from the first moment and a powerful couple of classes. When do you open in NYC?!

I've been to classes all over LA and this place is special. Chris is amazing and hosts some of the best classes I've ever taken. I like that we build heat naturally, and their sound baths / yin yoga / workshops are really fun and inviting. I bring all my friends here now and have a membership myself. Feels like a true neighborhood spot :)

I can’t say enough about the beautiful community that Rachel & Chris have created at Empowered Yoga. The physical space is bright and inviting but more importantly, there is an unmatched warmth and tender magic that can’t be captured by words. Please do come to experience it!

And Chris! Chris is a gem. His teaching honors the integrity of the practice: mindful movement, attention to form, conscious breath. The duality of effort and ease is infused with a healthy dose of playfulness and humility. With each practice, I leave with a joie de vivre, a special feeling that informs my time off the mat until we meet again. With all my gratitude <3

This is such a cozy, neighborhood studio with really exceptional teachers. They truly understand not only the mindfulness of yoga but the physiology of the human body. It's so important for teachers to have this understanding to prevent injury and give students the mobility and proper alignment that can be so impactful! Wonderful community

Of so many choices in LA, this is a different kind of yoga. Katonah style is logical and philosophical. Teachers are super keyed in beyond your average vinyasa. Fabulous space, beautiful community and super teachers including Rachel, Kyle, Catie, Chris and Felipe—each offer a potent practice with their own spin. Never boring and always so gratifying in the end. These are generous people who teach with heart and soul. Highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of attending three classes with Felipe when I was in Los Angeles for a week. Felipe is an excellent yoga instructor and a very talented musician. The instructions were clear and precise and I loved the ending with the harmonium and the singing. I can't recommend his classes and this studio enough. Great location on Washington. Very nice space and good props. Very clean.

Truly one of the best yoga studios I've been to. Empowered Yoga is authentic, welcoming, inclusive, and has such a diverse class offering. Every teacher / every class I've taken has been amazing.

From Vinyasa, Katonah, restorative, and the studio workshops - every class has such a focus on form and alignment, and no two classes have been the same (such creativity in every sequence)!

There is also such a warm community feel at this studio. I've made new friends here, tried so many classes, and have really grown my yoga practice here. Don't miss this studio!

I cannot recommend Empowered Yoga enough. Through their pre-opening and community classes as they prepared to open, I have found a group of instructors that really try to meet each person where they are at in their yoga practice - beginner to advanced. My practice gets better with each class and I don't ever feel like I don't belong or that I cannot do it. They have created an incredibly welcoming community and if you are interested in yoga, I highly recommend this studio.

I love the team at Empowered Yoga Studio! Rachel is an incredible instructor who pushes you physically each session with her bright and encouraging instruction. The adjustments she makes to my body in certain poses help me unlock a deeper stretch and release tension. It’s such a treat to unwind in one of her classes, and you will absolutely leave feeling better than when you arrived. They frequently host events that are totally worth checking out.
