I’ve been training with Lashawn for almost two years. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I came to him as a woman in my 50’s who had never lifted a weight in my life. And, as a former ballet dancer I had so many old injuries. I told him that I just wanted to prepare my body for menopause and feel stronger. I had no idea how much his training would change my life.

Now I can safely lift triple the weight I could when I started. I have functionally strong muscles that have saved me from injury while caring for sick elders in my life. I am even jumping (something I thought my arthritic knees would never do again) and jogging on the treadmill, something I’ve never done in my life due to asthma. My heart rate is lower. My lung volume has increased, all from weight training with Lashawn.

He’s positive but knows when to push. He’s flexible with my wild travel schedule for work. And he’s a lot of fun to work out with. If you have been waiting to find the perfect trainer, stop now and make an opponent with Lashawn at Envys. Just don’t take my spot!

I trained with Lashawn for 2 years before I moved away. The areas we covered were strength, conditioning, and range of motion. The range of motion work was something I had never done before and hadn't seen with other trainers. By building strength at the end of the range it really increased my durability and helps me avoid injury now with my MMA training. I always loved fitness and prioritized exercise, but l never saw the results I wanted. But, stepping into Envys for the first time and meeting Lashawn changed all of that.

Lashawn's way of doing things is different. He's kind and really focused on getting results, which makes the gym feel welcoming. He's got this way of pushing you without making you feel overwhelmed, and it's just what I needed.

Nutrition is another big thing with him. It's not all about just sweating and lifting weights; Lashawn makes sure you get why eating right matters too. He gives advice that matches up with the workouts, making everything feel connected.

Working out with Lashawn has been awesome! He really knows how to push me without going overboard, keeping things challenging yet totally doable. I have been working with Lashawn for 6 months after not being active for years. There are two things I consider crucial in personal training and Lashawn excels at both of them. The first is his character and the second his professionalism and knowledge of the field. Lashawn is one of the most genuine, friendly and nice people i know. He is humble, open minded and very easy to be friends with. The second factor is his knowledge in personal training, physical therapy, and kinesiology. As a person who was a “gym rat” in his college years it was really eye opening to see what and how i was doing things wrong. Lashawn’s obsession with correct form and technique virtually guarantees your safety from injury. This doesn’t mean you won’t work hard in your workouts, quite the contrary i sweated more in some of his workouts than I did rowing crew. With exercises that are unique, you will train some muscles, at ranges, that you never knew existed.
Overall I can say that Lashawn is awesome, and I’m looking forward to working with him again in the future.

I had a great workout with Lashan at Envys Fitness. He works with your fitness level and pushes you just enough. He also was able to work around injuries I have that stemmed from an ankle that has been sprained multiple times. He not only worked around my weak ankle, but also suggested great strengthening exercises for the muscles around it. I am excited to continue working with Lashan to obtain my fitness goals of strength and endurance building so I will be a better runner, surfer and snowboarder.

Lashawn is an amazing personal trainer right in Santa Monica. He is dedicated to what he does and you can tell he is truly passionate about fitness and motivating his clients to be the best they can be. He can customize a perfect workout for your goals and has a special way of pushing you to achieve them but making you feel great the entire time. He is very knowledgeable and focuses on functional fitness and building strength that will benefit you in all areas of your life. He will help you loose weight/fat and build strength and lean muscle!

He has a private gym on Colorado with everything you need. I love that I don't need to think at all, I just show up and he has the perfect workout for me. So much better than going to the gym! I've already recommended him to some of my co-workers at the office that wanted to know my secret to staying in such good shape! If you are thinking about getting a trainer, Lashawn is the best, you will have no regrets, you will just want more!
