The gym is really crowded and the manager here is extremely strict, unwelcoming, and unkind towards girls. I’m guessing from all the filler and botox that she’s insecure around younger women. Every interaction I’ve had with her has been so unnecessarily uncomfortable that it sends chills down my spine. The rest of the general staff are really nice, however.

A Gold Member from Texas. Received a guest pass, and I’m so glad for the opportunity to enjoy my workouts away from home. The team members were welcoming, friendly and professional. Checking in as a guest was quick and simple. All the latest equipment, over 18 plus stair masters…wow! Studio was nice, tuff area is small so I didn’t get to enjoy. This gym stays pretty busy. Towel service is a plus, steam room was nice and spacious. Overall, this new location is beautiful. Great Amenities, Staff were great. The huge metal gate in their parking structure came down on the roof my car. It smashed the windshield and scratched the paint. It was terrifying. I'd be seriously injured if I had a convertible. The staff at the parking structure immediately tried to blame me. The staff at the gym cancelled my membership after 18 years. I'm so annoyed that I have to find a new gym. None of this was my fault, then they cancel my membership.

I've been working out at this club for about 20 years, and it's been refurbished and improved several times. It's a really good gym. The cardio equipment is kind of entry-level Matrix, but totally in good condition. The weight rooms downstairs are excellent. Highly recommended.

Amazing gym. Staff is so amazing and cute. Steam room is a holy grail. Only deducting a star because it gets SO UNBELIEVABLY CROWDED, which really isn’t the gyms fault at all. I do wish they could maybe implement more AC or fans because of how many people are there sweating and emitting body heat, making the gym a bit hotter and musty while working out.

Your membership expired the 14.. ok I said :
“Let me renew it for another year now”
And she literally said :

It's by far my favorite gym! It has everything I need and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful! People who attend this gym are serious about their workouts, which I like. I do NOT recommend signing a contract with this gym.
First of all, they charge ridiculous fees upfront. I canceled my membership two weeks before the next billing date. I specifically asked the manager if they would still charge me for the next month, and she assured me they would NOT. Yet on August 2nd they still took $55 from my account — even though my payment date was always the 13th of each month.
This is dishonesty and a scam. They lure you in, take your money, and do not keep their word. Stay away from this place.

As an 'out of towner' this was definitely a poor experience. Website looks like there's a low cost offering for sign-up, but if you don't have a US phone number you have to pay $40 just for a one-day pass! Not a huge amount of help as to where things were. Went searching initially for bands to stretch for my warmup but you have to get them from reception. Then when I was actually training, again you have to get clips from the staff. They at least let me borrow a lock for a locker which was helpful, although an easy solution in this day and age is electronic combination locks that I've seen in many gyms.

What was most important to me for the low review is that despite the crazy entry fee, they didn't even have the equipment I needed. Essentially all I need is a 15kg ladies Olympic weightlifting barbell which they didn't have - but worse on top of that all the barbells have center knurling which is just a nightmare for doing cleans.

Would highly recommend do not come here if you are in LA for business/travel and are a fan of Olympic weightlifting!

Usually great music, my only complaint is that it’s a little too loud, especially near the weight racks. My gym partner and I have to yell to communicate if we’re at a rack too close to a speaker, and when I work out alone i can often hear the music through my headphones.
Haven’t taken many classes, partly because the acoustics aren’t great in that room and I struggle to understand the instructor. My hearing is fine outside of this gym I promise 😂
I do wish they had a couple more sets of 17.5 and 12.5lb dumbbells, and a couple more duplicates of popular machines. It can get crowded and hard to find open equipment during peak hours, but that’s to be expected for any gym.
Overall imo Gold’s has the best value for the membership price.

Went here with my grandson who’s a member. This place is a major heat trap. I’m a senior citizen that wants to get some workout in but the ventilation is bad. Come if you enjoy getting heat strokes. Terrible experience. The whole place smells like a sweaty market in the middle of summer — hot, humid, and no ventilation. You’re stuck breathing stale air with people who clearly don’t know what hygiene is. Either the gym has no proper air system, or management is too cheap to run it. I know a lot of gyms get a bad rap but I got to give a shout out here to the membership coordinator Karen. I've been having issues since the Gold's gym near me in Culver City closed at the beginning of the year. Karen saw that I was a bit frustrated as she asked how she could help. A long story short, she spent a few minutes and quickly took care of my membership so I could come easily to multiple locations.

She just generally wanted to help and cared about my experience. This gold is definitely one of the easiest, with the 3-hour validated parking a 1-minute walk away. Not crazy crowded, equipments while maintained and the bathroom is impeccably clean. Thank you for making my experience great when I come here.

I cannot believe how rude Karen is the manager. I spoke to her in March and she was extremely rude to me and my partner. I have never experienced disrespectful communication in my life I asked her for her managers number and I was informed they will call m I end up letting it go. I called back today and asked for a manager to discuss the same topic regarding someone I referred. She immediately gets on the phone extremely rude stating I can’t help you unless we bring your account current what card do you want me to use and stated something that I couldn’t do it online due to it will take forever for it to post and something regarding fraud. I asked her to repeat herself and she didn’t. I was extremely confused cause my bank shows the payment was complete last week and I always pay on time so I do not get the what is going on. I informed her do you know my name she stated yes I remember we had a discussion in March regarding a referral you gave us in extremely rude and continued to hound me on my payment while not allowing me to talk. I informed her I will call back and speak to someone else as I did not have time for all that. I can’t believe how rude a manager can be so rude specially when you are referred people. makes me not want to ever go back.

Extremely deceptive, borderline illegal sales tactics. They advertise free day passes. I filled out their form online with my address from out of state. They then send me a day pass offer and when I get there, they tell me it’s $40 for a day pass if you are out of state. I made very clear that I was from out of state and they still use their bait and switch sales tactics to get people in the door thinking they will just accept paying after being advertised something for free.

Pros: The equipment is high quality, the gym culture is positive, there are plenty of lockers, the staff is approachable and the environment feels safe with minimal creepers. Thanks to a recent renovation, the equipment is some of the best I've used.

Cons: The equipment is often dirty since the gym doesn't provide wipes (they have paper towels and spray but the extra effort turns people off). You'll need to bring your own clips for lifting and the parking validation system can be a bit of a hassle.

- Good cardio equipment upstairs
- Bathrooms are nicer than other gyms I've been to

- Can get very crowded if you don’t go during mid morning.

Great gym, tons of high energy and hard working individuals here. The staff is kind, facility is clean, ton of equipment to choose from. The 4:00-7:00 hour is quite busy, so plan your visit wisely around that time. Even with a lot of members, I’ve never had to wait to use a piece of equipment.

I just recently joined Gold‘s Gym and I’m really impressed. It’s a very clean and there is an ample variety and quantity of weights and CV and other equipment. Everything is brand new. I had an excellent personal training session this morning. I’ve been a member of many gyms over the past three decades, and this is by far one of my favorites so far.

This gym considers itself a VIP that charges $100 for a membership and they don't have the most common barbell mount in their gym. This is for the client's safety so that the barbell or weights don't fall on your head when you work with the barbell and they don't have this thing, although in the cheapest gyms there are no problems with this. In the 12 years that I spent in the gym, I first encountered such a problem, I went to the manager to ask about the locks, he said that he could only give them to me if I left him my ID or car keys lol. That is, the VIP gym requires car keys or your ID to give you the locks and you were safe. Terrible service, I will never come here again and I do not recommend you for your safety
